“Finally went to Moono and it delivered. Each dish held its own with unique flavors. We had a la carte among four of us with a bottle of makeoli and were happily filled with 1 appetizer and 3 entrees. We ordered an extra bowl of white rice which is the move as so many dishes had excellent sauces that you just wanted to soak up with rice, plus the white rice itself is perfect with a sweetness to it.

We had Hoe Muchim + Kim, Beef Hotpot, Mushroom Sotbap, and Galbijjim. It was outstanding from the cold cucumber soup at the beginning to the end. Beef hotpot is great for those who appreciate that pure beef taste and experience- it is lightly seasoned and in my opinion a great contrast to the big flavors of Galbijjim. Galbijjim is a crowd pleaser and easy to enjoy, it is a most indulgent version with meat removed from the bones. We only wished the dish were layered with more vegetables / mushrooms, which were not side characters in this dish. Sotbap was fragrant - only wished that they scooped out the crispy bits, which are the best parts. Maybe they can offer guests the option to serve themselves rather than take away and return with the scooped out bowls for each person.

Also would love to see more makgeolli options on the drinks menu.

After playing semi-pro soccer and now as an amateur, I always come here to enjoy a great time.
The food is delicious and flavorful, and the service is excellent.

“This is a very small restaurant so important to make reservations. I love sitting at the bar only 4 seats lots of space for the food. The bartender let me sample several beers to help me decide which I thought was so kind. Food is gooood clean And nice variety although. Very welcoming and cozy, modern Thai restaurant with the South East Asian flare you'd be looking for if having visited Thailand before. Decor is a mix of modern and traditional which gives a nice feel, ambiance is relaxed.

I was greeted with friendly & warm smiles and seated at the spacious bar area where Yatika helped me decide food/drink choices. I can vouch for the excellent food quality and selection (Northern Thai & Bangkok) having ordered Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao & Tom Kha soup

Shout out to Yatika for the excellent service and making your patrons feel welcomed and wanting to come back! I'd highly recommend and will definitely be back when coming through the city. Double 👍👍“

We visited Brooklyn again this year for the NYC marathon and low and behold, this place was only a few stops away on the subway. And I owed my hubs a lunch anywhere he wanted to go because I lost this year's NCAA basketball pool, so here we are. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. Nothing by our home compares to it. Oysters, lobster rolls, beer, friendly knowledgeable service. We hope to visit again soon. This is the best lunch we've had all year. ❤️❤️❤️“

“The hostess seemed to have difficulty locating our reservation, even after I spelled my name three times. It was a bit frustrating. The assistant hostess then bypassed the reservation check-in, which I later realized resulted in a no-show record for me, and led us to a table situated in the middle of the restaurant, which is a busy area for wait staff and guests. I kindly requested a table away from the main thoroughfare, which was available. It was puzzling why we were given the least desirable table, even with a reservation. Additionally, the tables are quite large, not ideal for an intimate dinner for two, as they resemble conference room tables. I believe they are approximately 40” x 40” — quite spacious. This setup makes it necessary to speak loudly across the table, which can be disruptive to neighboring tables. On a positive note, the food was excellent, the sommelier was wonderful, and the wait staff on the restaurant side was fantastic. It seems the main areas for improvement are with the hostesses and the table arrangements to better suit a romantic dining experience.“

“Docks is an institution! I am so glad it is still around and going strong. 40 years ago I used to hang out there after work to unwind and socialize with my colleagues. We were young and loved the energy the place exuded. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a new colleague for happy hour and it did not disappoint. The bar is exactly how I remembered it and the happy hour prices plus the quality of the food made me well---happy! I shall return but much sooner next time :-)“
