“Really interesting cuisine and experience. Cute and small joint serving Cajun Korean food with a lot of variety and inventiveness. The jambalaya was great with a lot of flavor and kick. The softshell crab sandwich I had was phenomenal -- just the right texture of fried crab and toppings with some pickled vegetables. Service was really kind and efficient.“

“Visited this Michelin starred restaurant. To be completely honest, the food was okay. The presentation was amazing and the service was great but some of the courses were average to me. It was cool to try once but not one of my favorite Michelin restaurants.“

“My boyfriend and I visited here for some quick late night food and we arrived shortly before closing. The overall atmosphere was great and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. We ordered everything at once because the kitchen was closing and they still pacer out our meal. The service was impeccable and all of the food and dessert was amazing. (especially the cuttlefish) We will defend be back!“

“Extensively thought out menu, every bite felt like a perfect harmony of complex but well balanced flavours. The pairings are absolutely worth it and elevate every dish, we would highly recommend.Servers were extremely attentive. We ate in about 1h30 because we had a show (a bit faster than the recommended 2 hour window), however we didn’t feel rushed and everything was perfectly timed.Excellent ambiance, we loved being able to see the chefs work in front of us. Everything looked like a perfectly choreographed dance.Would highly recommend, a well deserved star indeed !“

“Came to Little Mad for a weekend dinner, made a reservation about 2-3 weeks ahead but the place was very spacious and had some empty tables so probably do not need a reservation. Personally I loved the decor of the place, very clean and simple, lots of wooden structures. Our server was very helpful, asked us if it was our first time here, recommended the right amount of food to get, and went over some of the alcohol list with us. There was a raspberry martini we got that was very delicious and has a pretty good kick to it. Food wise, very very delicious. Every course was surprise and I did not feel a single moment of dullness. We started with the yellowtail crudo in between the pear slices, the sauce was so amazing and went so perfectly with the fish and pear. We also got the beef carpaccio, it was delicious. Our mad hot plates were equally as amazing and our main course was probably the best. The galbi steak was to die for, so tender and juicy while the lobster fried rice was so full of flavor. This was one of the best Asian tapas places I've been to and would definitely come back, it was quite a bit pricier than I had expected though in the end so had to take away a star, but if you don't care about the price, this is the perfect place to have a great time with amazing food!“

“My overall experience at Jua was fantastic, and I particularly appreciated the diverse range of offerings available. The restaurant provided an impressive variety of dishes, ensuring there was something to satisfy every palate. I found the ambiance and service to be quaint, making it an ideal choice for special occasions or a small celebratory dinner. Without a doubt, I look forward to returning to Jua in the future to indulge in their exceptional culinary offerings again.“

“I came here for my birthday dinner. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. They explained the tasting course thoroughly. The first course was a set of three little dishes and the rest was a sort of "choose your own adventure" type of thing. My brother, husband and I each ordered something different and we got to try most of the menu that way. The presentation was impeccable and the food was top notch. They presented me with a cute little birthday dessert with a candle. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.“

“Really beautiful space with lovely food and great service. I was expecting a bit more from the food tbh for the price (not sure what though because I have no real complaint but it wasn't spectacular other than the mixed fritter appetizer which was the best tempura I've ever had). All in all 4.5 stars.“

“The dining experience as a whole was satisfactory; certain dishes stood out while others fell short of expectations. The entrees, particularly the fried chicken, failed to leave a lasting impression, especially when contrasted with the myriad of exceptional Korean fried chicken offerings available in NYC. The cod was one-note with an overpowering gochugang curry sauce. There were notable highlights such as the sea urchin steamed egg, the squash, and the refreshing sujeonggwa granita, though the occasional overpowering presence of cinnamon in the granita detracted slightly from the overall enjoyment. I would recommend a visit to sample select items, but skip the fried chicken and cod.“

“Didn’t even realize Genesis house was here until we googled where to eat while in the area. We were blown away from the food, ambiance and hospitality. We ordered:- Suranchae- Shrimp Mandu- Black Cod- JapchaeEverything tasted delicious, we had to make some modifications to the entrees as my wife is pregnant, but the staff made it so easy for us. It was really nice sitting by the window to overlook Little Island, Pier 57 and the Highline. You feel like you’re in the center of where all the action is.At the end of the night, the manager even gave us this super cute “Genesis House Food Critic” baby bib as a thank you gift for dining (how did they even have this ready for just us mentioning pregnancy for the menu!!?)Definitely try it out and you’ll be happy you did!“

“Great food and service. 6 of us ordered 4 sets of BBQs and a few apps and entrees. We were more than full by the end of the meal. For around 100$ per person, great value for money. Staff was very kind and patient since was our first KBBQ experience. They surprised my friend with a birthday dessert in the end too. Highly recommend going there at least once. However, I wish they had more non-alcoholic options.“

“Super friendly and accommodating service.Fantastic Korean dishes not just bbq meats. The Korean beef tartare is so fresh with the Korean pear. The uni mentaiko rice is a must. The scallion pancake is fabulous too. The makku original carafe was a pretty large size and so good. For the meats, the marinated galbi is really good. But I wish they had a charcoal grill since that usually tastes way better. All in all, I’d totally keep coming back.“

“Should not have so much onions in the food. My lunch box comes with 2 pan cakes of suck. I hated them. It's just flour with lots of onions. Most Buddhists don't eat onions and scallions. Salad was fresh. Ambiance good. Quiet with no music.“

“liked the food here, pricey but good for sharing among 2-3 and the ingredients are pure and not overwhelming. got the mud fish stew which had a lot of boiled watercress, the unagi with onions and mushrooms, and the mung bean noodle with beef (noodle was bland, beef was salty). banchan came with the meal!“

“Been here 4 times. I declare take 31 to be the top one on my list of Korean food in New York! The creamy udon pasta is super delicious and is my favorite dish. The creamy sauce is very rich and you won’t get tired of it even if you eat the whole plate. We have tried all three kinds of rice balls, and our favorite is the tuna fish rice ball. The 5 big pieces are full of sincerity and are so satisfying when paired with refreshing kimchi; the honey fried chicken has a sweet coating, and the mustard sauce it comes with is even more remarkable, retaining the mustard flavor without being spicy; the yogurt-flavored Rice wine has more flavor than banana flavor! It’s especially cool; the pork neck meat will be a little fatty; the corn tortillas have caramel adhering to the corn kernels, which are sweet and crispy, especially delicious! !“

“CDG is crazy busy for a reason. The food is outstanding and service is superb. Don't let the wait scare you though. We purposely planned to go 1 to 1.5 hours before dinner to get on the waitlist. You get a text when your table is almost ready and have 10 minutes to make your way back once you get that notification. You can also download an app in which you can check to see how many parties are in front of you to give you a better estimate of the wait time. We decided to get the naengi eggplant rice ($9), bossam ($18.99), and perilla seed tofu stew ($18.99). We were also given banchan and each received a small bowl of housemade tofu. You can always request more orders of banchan! The eggplant rice is something that I've never had or seen elsewhere and is a dish that I highly recommend. The crispy bits are the best! The perilla seed tofu soup is also something that is unique. I LOVE perilla, but I didn't taste any shiso (which is what I expected). Instead, it was more of a nutty flavor, but still very flavorful and light. Staff were so friendly and nice. I asked to try the makgeolli because I didn't want to commit to a glass if I didn't like it, and they offered to provide samples of the ones I was interested in. You're also given complimentary cookies (yakgwa) at the end of the meal. Yakgwa is a deep-fried layered cookie doused in a honey-ginger syrup. We expected the little flower-shaped cookie to be crisp, but it was actually soft and chewy.“

“"Tapas-style" Korean menu in a location perfect for a pre-theatre dinner! The raw scallop, bossam, and kimchi fried rice were all super flavorful and delicious. The only complaint I had was for the cheese corn riblets - they just quartered the corn cobs for this dish so you still have to bite the corn off the cob section, instead of just cutting the kernels off into riblets like most restaurants do. Makes it messier than necessary. The $16-18 bottles of Kikusui sake on the menu are a definite plus!“

“Was in the NY for the weekend visiting family from FL. Always wanted to try Korean BBQ and this place came up. Absolutely loved it. There was 7 of us walking around and they fit us right in. We ordered the 5-6 meal and 2 appetizers. And it was Plenty for everyone. Half way thru the meal my 10yr old leans over and tells me. "This is the best night of my life." He's a foodie. But check them out you should not be disappointed. Great job guys.“

“There's a lot of variety at Woorijip, and it was fun to browse and decide what to bring to scarf down before a concert. They have self-serve seating and many cash registers for efficient checkout. We got the bok choy and spinach namul. Both of these were pretty great. There was a liberal use of pre-minced garlic which I enjoyed, and it had good savory flavor. The spinach had a bit of the starchy flavor -- maybe it wasn't blanched and rinsed before cooking. The fish fillet jeon was good, though some pieces had a bit of the silvery part of the fish that didn't taste as good. The seafood ddukbokki looked better than it tasted. I was hoping the sauce would taste seafoody but it was a standard ddukbokki sauce. The seafood was ok...some of the clams were sandy and the mussels had the beard on it. I wouldn't get this again. The steamed eggs and marinated soft-boiled eggs looked really tasty. The prices are a bit high, but given the convenience, it can definitely be worth it. Definitely authentic!“

“The kimchi and pickled radish tasted just like in Korea, and the bulgogi rice bowl, teriyaki rice bowl, and soba noodles were very delicious. It was also surprising that there were more local customers than Korean customers. Korean food seems to have become more popular now. I really liked the smiles of the staff. I think I'll come here at least once every two days while I'm in Manhattan. Of course, if I lived here, I would want to come every day. Since there are only a few tables, it may be difficult for groups to visit, but they allow about 3 people to sit at each table and arrange about 3-5 tables. Basically, it is more like a take-out store. There were 6 of us, 3 at each table, and we ate well. Highly recommended“

“One of the few AYCE KBBQ spots in the area. Even on a Friday afternoon, this place gets really busy to the point where you have to wait for a table. The price per person is relatively fair compared to other places but I feel like you get fewer options for the Lunch menu. Normally, I would prefer more options but this time I liked having fewer options since I ordered more of the same meats. Rice, side dishes, dipping sauces, and fresh lettuce are all included in the AYCE. Drinks are not.“

“My 1st time having Korean fried chicken. Been wanting to have it for a long time. Came across this gem and I'm a fan.Chicken is fried fresh to order so please be patient. I ordered the 5pc Golden original just so I can taste the overall flavor. Nicely fried to a crispy and juicy texture. The guy at the register Kim bought me over a side of their Secret Sauce to try it. Not too sweet or spicy but it's sticky. The 1st time having pickled daikon also. Very refreshing and a palate cleanser. Love it“

“TLDR: Bom gets it right. While a bit of a splurge, it's the right balance of a celebratory meal that feels luxurious yet still refined. For a beef-centric meal, you won't have crazy meat sweats but you'll still feel like you got your money's worth.Tucked behind of Oiji Mi - I'm surprised it's taken me this long to write this review. For a tasting that's got beef top of mind, it's not overly beefy. In fact, the first several courses showcase the team's skill with seafood dishes. The starter plate with a crispy seaweed tartare bite, two caviar-esque tartlets, a marinated sashimi component. You might actually think this was a kaiseki/omakase meal if it were not the Frenchy elements. As you progress through the first parts of the meal, your proteins for the evening are showcased and are grilled table side as you make your way to the beef portion. A steamed-egg custard with crab, it almost tastes like a Cantonese dish. An abalone plate with wild rice, a ginger scallion fish with broth. You almost forget that this is a beef-themed tasting and then, that part arrives. Two pieces one with sea urchin roe and the other with caviar. So tender, salty, briny, perfect. Next a rice bowl with ikura, gamtae seaweed, marinated beef. Mix it up and enjoy. After a beef course with fermented veggies, then the wagyu which is served more French-ish. The final savory part was a tray with rice, crispy seaweed, soup, all different types of sauces to make miniature hand rolls if you will. The desserts were just as good as the savory part. Again, more of a special occasion kind of spot but it's a proper way to splurge.“

“My family stopped in for dinner on a gloomy evening. The owner warmly greeted us after a short wait and was very attentive through out our time. We ordered a Bul Dak bowl, Sunny Avo, and Kimchi Jae Yuk bowl. Everything was very tasty and the portions were so large. We tried our best but couldn’t finish, we were stuffed. “First time at Sushi Story - and it is amazing! I went in for lunch and asked the server for recommendations. After my ginger salad, she brought me Tuna Tataki, which was perfectly prepared and had a touch of smokiness. I couldn’t decide between Seared Salmon Sushi or the River Roll, so I ordered both. It was the best decision ever! The salmon was freshly prepared and melted in my mouth. The Spicy Tuna was delicious and had just a touch of kick, which complimented the richness of the fish. All dishes were fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, helpful, and courteous, by both the server and the chef, who checked on my satisfaction with the meal. The restaurant is small, with seven tables, and has a bustling take-out service. “I will say, Jongro BBQ is certainly delicious! However, I have a hard time justifying the price point. Their Korean BBQ is a la carte, and each meat item costs anywhere from $40-$60. I highly recommend coming with a group to help offset the cost. The meat is of higher quality than most KBBQ places I have been to. The quantity they give is not a lot per dish, but it's decent. Also, I'm not super impressed with their selection of banchan. I do highly recommend their steamed egg though! It was probably the best part of the meal. The nice thing about Jongro is the servers actually cook all your meat for you -- you don't need to cook any of it yourself. They have a 2 hour dine-in limit, so be mindful of how you spend your time there. It gets quite busy after 7pm during the nighttime, so plan accordingly. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend coming to Jongro if you want tasty KBBQ. However, I would just keep in mind the steep price point for what you actually get during your dining experience.“

“The 4.8 rating after 185 reviews made me question this restaurant. How could they have that high of a rating with such a large sample size. After going there I’m on the hunt to find those individuals that made this score not a perfect 5. Service was exceptional (especially when considering the normal pricing). Sushi quality was the best I’ve ever had in every food I ate (miso soup wasn’t too salty). Complimentary miso and a roll from the chef. There is not a single thing I could complain about and I look forward to giving this establishment as much business as possible.“

“Everything is as delicious as it sounds to be honest! Ran by Koreans, the taste reminds me of my mom’s food but restaurant level quality and aesthetics. They pack their to-go food like a cute little lunch box, a piece of fruit, and a brownie that’s deceptively yummy and chewy/fudgy. Their to/go hot teas are also SO nicely packed. I love their attention to quality in an amazing neighborhood hidden gem.“

“The quality (of the food), atmosphere (elegant and modern), and service of this restaurant are top notch. Step into this place and it’s as you’re transported to a restaurant at a fancy Seoul neighborhood. Dinner for 3 cost us $150 which was great value given the quality, atmosphere and service provided. For example, one of our dish was grilled clams and we were blown away by their size. They were gigantic, abundant and FRESH! The patrons were all locals and some families.
