“The food was really good. All of it was made well and for the most part amazing service. My only issue was the white hostess told us there were no tables and seated us right by the door completely cramped. Asking another waiter he was able to move us and said we need to be done at 8 as the table was reserved. This was at 6, showing the hostess just did not seat us well and communicate properly. If seated there we were ready to leave, but because the other staff were competent, we stayed and enjoyed good food. My other issue is as the tables are small we could only eat one plate at a time. Otherwise, it was very good! I just wish the hostess did not ruin the experience from the get go, with her incompetence.“

“Amazing and inventive Korean food in the East Village. Must-have starter is the scallop DIY gimbap where you create your own bites with seaweed. Great combination of sauces gives it an incredible umami mouthfeel.
For entrees, dolsot al-bop has the uni flavor in the form of bibimbop, served in a sizzling bowl. And the fried soft-shell crab is to die for.
Only complaint is feeling rushed by servers to clear plates and present the bill before being asked.“

“I feel guilty for wanting this place all to myself because it's so good. The staff handled my children's requests with grace. This place distinguishes itself clearly. Their menu offerings and service quality merit top rating. You should taste what this spot offers once.“

“Seoul Salon is such a trendy and aesthetic restaurant and the food didn't disappoint. I'd definitely recommend making reservations because it was all packed for a Thursday dinner. To start the meal, they give this crispy ramen cracker snack with a hot sauce drizzled on top and it was so nostalgic to the snacks I used to eat when I was younger. The whole menu looked so delicious, but I ended up trying the Soy Scallop with Gim Rice, Rose Tteokbokki with Gimmari, and the Seoul Salon Fried Chicken. The soy scallops were fresh and full of flavor. The Gim rice paired perfectly with the scallops as well. The Rose tteokbokki reminded me of eating a margherita pizza because of the cheese and basil toppings with the sauce. Iloved the Gimmari that came with the dish; it was nicely fried and dipping it into the sauce was perfection. The fried chicken took me by surprise. The batter was so crispy and airy and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The sauce had a good spice kick and it was only drizzled lightly on half of the chicken, so none of the chicken got soggy and it's great for people who can't handle the spice. Overall had a great experience at Seoul Salon. I would come back again and again.“

“My friend and I made a reservation for Gurumé at 7pm on a Saturday. I would recommend making a reservation if you are dining around this time, as it was packed! However, the crowd had dissipated by 8:30pm, so if you're looking for a later evening bite, it's definitely slower. I would also recommend not dining at peak hours because it was so loud. Decor is your average, upscale vibes, but the tables are really close together to maximize the amount of people in the space.
We ordered crispy corn and cheese ($14), oyster mushroom taco ($17), berkshire kimchi fried rice ($19), scallop crudo ($19), and pork & radish "bossam" ($19). We also ordered the black sesame bread pudding for dessert ($11). Overall, the food was flavored well and tasty. You're paying entree prices for appetizer portions, but it makes sense for the location. If I came back, I would skip the kimchi fried rice and scallop crudo. The fried rice was nothing special, and I have had better experiences with simpler ingredients; the scallop crudo was overpowered by the other flavors, losing the taste of the scallop. The bossam was so moist and juicy, with fantastic natural flavoring, though the other components did enhance the flavor. I would only recommend the corn if you are a corn lover and none of the other appetizers appeal to you. The mushroom taco had a great combination of flavors and the spice kick was mild. If you're a dessert person, the bread pudding was delectable, great black sesame flavor and the bread was also moist.
Service was outstanding. We were originally seated next to a large party, and they later moved us to a table further away where it was quieter. There were many checkbacks throughout the evening, and they definitely make you feel like you are valued as a customer. I would recommend Gurumé for a fancy night out and people in your party can talk loudly.“

“Amazing experience tonight enjoying the bar menu. The team created a pitch perfect vibe, it felt like I was at a dinner party with friends (who just happen to be wizards at food and wine tasting menus). The service was exceptional: friendly and familiar yet still very high standard when it came to the details just as any other restaurant of this level. The food had some really standout dishes and the drinks pairings were so boldly experimental and amazing. I won't soon forget my experience at Atomix.“

“This was one of the places my friend who moved to LA had to come back to during her visit.
They have the best rice cake and sausage (소떡소떡) I’ve had from a chicken shop. The rice cake is the perfect level of crispiness. The sausage is a normal Frankfurt sausage instead of the Korean ones but it’s still okay because their sauce is perfect. Even before eating the chicken, I can tell this is going to be amazing. They have great combo deals which are great for groups and they also give free Cajun fries (which are also good and fresh) a review! Definitely worth trying.“

“Olle is a charming and well-regarded Korean restaurant located in a busy area of Manhattan. The ambiance is elegant, with modern decor that complements the traditional Korean cuisine served with a contemporary twist. The dishes are well-presented, and the menu offers great options for those looking for an authentic Korean BBQ experience. Service was friendly and efficient, making the meal enjoyable. It’s definitely worth a visit for anyone wanting to explore Korean flavors in a stylish and comfortable setting.“

“Fabulous! They had two Michelin stars in Seoul, and they shine in NYC. They received only one as soon as they opened this year. The wine pairing program is also on point.
Don't get thrown by the freight elevator entry, it's part of the streetscape transition to enter heaven!“

“I've had the privilege to dine in many amazing restaurants around the globe and even privately in the kitchen of some famous chefs. I can say with absolute authority that this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Absolutely amazing from first bite to last! Make sure to opt-in for the savory beignet as well. It was superlative. I'll be envious of anyone getting to dine here until I have a chance to come back again!“

“Delicious food, the soondubu and bibimbap were SO flavorful, as were all the banchan. Soondubu is not too spicy at all, I actually appreciate a more mild soup right now. Service did forget I asked for purple rice, but they came back and apologized, asking if I still wanted it (I honestly didn't mind either way, but appreciate them remembering).“

“Went on a Wednesday night at around 7 PM and was super busy! Filled with mainly younger people and the vibe was extremely nice. We got the beef tartare, chapaguri fried rice, soy-glazed bossam, and the frozen makgeolli for dessert! Only got a picture of the beef tartare and chapaguri :(, but everything was good nonetheless.
We did find the garlic bossam a bit too oily for our liking but it was good and finished all our plates. The service was great - I noticed that there were probably a lot of reservations as servers were quick to clear off empty tables and set them up for the next guests. Would highly recommend and I would go back to try some other dishes!“

“LOVE Korean BBQ delivers a top-tier dining experience that stands out among New York City’s Korean barbecue spots. From the moment you step in, the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff set the stage for an unforgettable meal.
The food here is simply outstanding. Each cut of meat is of the highest quality, from the tender, perfectly marinated galbi to the flavorful bulgogi. The grilling process, done right at your table, enhances the freshness and authenticity of the experience. The sides (banchan) are equally impressive, offering a variety of flavors that complement the grilled meats beautifully. Every bite showcases the care and expertise put into the preparation of the dishes.
The service is exceptional. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, ensuring every detail is just right. They’re happy to guide you through the menu, offer recommendations, and even help with grilling at the table if you’re new to Korean BBQ. Their enthusiasm and professionalism elevate the meal to a truly special occasion.
The ambiance is lively and modern, making it perfect for everything from a fun night out with friends to a celebratory dinner. The curated drink menu, featuring creative cocktails and a great selection of soju and beer, rounds out the experience perfectly.
LOVE Korean BBQ is a must-visit for anyone craving incredible food and outstanding service in a vibrant setting. Whether you’re a Korean BBQ enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this place will exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!“

“Found this place by coincidence, but it turns out to be one of the best handroll places I visited in NYC. The restaurant is structured as bar seatings. Every handroll was made and served one.
The rice was well seasoned, and every roll was delicious. The menu was a bit limited, but that also makes it very simple and friendly for someone who doesn't know what to order on their first visit.
The price was moderate. If you are a fan of handrolls, you should give it a try.“

“Coqodaq in NYC was definitely buzzing — it’s not easy getting a reservation, we had to put our names in and wait around 2 hours for a table for two. The vibe inside is a unique blend of club and restaurant, giving it a lively, energetic atmosphere. We started with a delicious consommé that set a good tone, and I appreciated the selection of ban chan-style appetizers. But of course, the real star is the fried chicken, which Coqodaq is known for. The gochujang wings were the standout for me, packed with flavor and the perfect kick of spice. The other flavors, though, didn’t leave as much of an impression. Overall, I’d say it was a good experience, but I’m not entirely convinced it’s worth the hassle of scoring a table. The food was solid, especially the gochujang wings, but with the effort it takes to get in, I’m not sure it’s something I’d go out of my way for again.“

“Brilliant Korean spread at Cho Dang Gol in midtown Manhatten. Specializes in tofu dishes so we plumped for the spicy tofu hotpot but also ordered some tasty beef and zucchini pancakes and spicy gochujang chicken. This eatery features on the Michelin guide and is always packed, and rightly so! Maybe a little on the sweeter side for my taste but isn’t everything in the USA? 😜 Regardless, it was stupid tasty and we inhaled everything“

“Situated in a tranquil neighborhood near Fort Lee, NJ, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that feels like a hidden gem. The beef short ribs were a standout, cooked to perfection with a tenderness that melts in the mouth. The sauce and seasoning complemented the meat impeccably, adding depth without overpowering the natural flavors. Equally impressive were the cold noodles, which brought a refreshing and unique combination of flavors and textures, making for an ideal contrast to the rich short ribs. Visiting on a quiet Sunday afternoon, I found the atmosphere serene and the service attentive and courteous. This is a spot well worth a visit for those seeking exceptional Korean cuisine in a relaxed setting.“

“Overall, the food was tasty, the grilled chicken feet was a bit too spicy for some people. The portion was pretty satisfying. The only thing is that they included taxes in the total but didn't indicate that on the bill, so I calculated the tips based on the total, which means I gave extra tips…“

“Came in a group of 3 on a Sunday night which was perfect as there was no wait time. We ordered a total of 8 dishes which were shared and came out to $80 pp with tip included. This place is tapas style so each dish is meant to be shared. In my opinion there were some dishes like the Berkshire ribs and oxtail spring rolls that felt a bit underwhelming (they weren’t bad they were just ok).The rest of the dishes were yummy and the winner of the night was the lobster roll (we ordered it twice!). Overall it’s a good spot to try and have a bite. My rank goes: rice dish (had a tiny kick to it ) > lobster roll > dumpling > scallop > ribs > spring rolls“

“Amazing quality prix fixe for only $42! The menu rotates seasonally (I had summer), and the food was Michelin ⭐️ level. Perfect for 2 people to pick two selections per course and try all the options. Loved the amuse bouche, Kong Guk soo, and the branzino the best! Staff also incredibly friendly. Portions are very small (but understanding for the price), I’ll add a couple of additional courses next time!“

“Got the half mozzarella, half beef dog with the potato coating and it hit the spot. Super crispy on the outside, cheesy and juicy on the inside. It is one of those things where you take a bite and immediately want another.
Edit: I wish it came with a full beef dog instead of just half, and the kimchi fries didn’t include enough fries or kimchi for what we paid.“

“Dweji-gomtang (pork bone broth soup) is really smooth and clear. You could taste the richness of the pork while drinking the broth. The pork is slicing into really thin slices and it goes really well with the gochu-ji. The spicyness balances the greasy taste of the pork. The side dish kimchi radish is crisp and balanced the whole dish. The restaurant is a little bit small and doesn’t have a lot of space, but definitely worth a try for its pork broth soup“

“Great for celiacs as you can have gluten free bibimbap!
Food is really good and while it's not true traditional bibimbap (no stone bowl which means the rice doesn't get the same crunch) the flavour was bang on and it's a good portion as well. Could use a smidge more protein. Veggies were delicious.
Great service as well.“

“Friend just brought me here for breakfast, street parking can be a bit challenging otherwise the place was great. Seating was plentiful.
My friend and I ate a bacon egg and cheese on toast. The entire sandwich is a beautiful presentation. The toast was golden brown, warm and sliced as to envelope the ingredients. The cheese a warm gooey skin around the walls of the toast. The bacon, added wonderful flavor to the fluffiest eggs I have seen in quite a while. I highly recommend stopping in and trying it for yourself. Your taste buds will thank you!“
