“Didn’t expect to find my best crispy pork belly of the year at a Thai spot!!! The skin was insanely crisp yet slightly chewy. The dipping sauce on the side was perfectly balanced.

For the main, we went with the panang short ribs. The beef was coated in a rich, mildly spicy curry. We added steamed veggies instead of rice and they fit curry.“

“I liked the menu options a lot, a good variety of diner food w/ some French inspired dishes. Our waiter was funny and really nice lol. Place is kinda small, but we didn’t have to wait at all even though it’s a no res spot. They gave us a small ice cream and whipped cream dessert for new years 🥹 Overall, I had higher expectations for the food based on the price points so was a little disappointed

- French onion soup ($19): 7/10, I LOVE French onion soup, but the broth wasn’t as flavorful or onion-y as I would’ve liked. Was pretty excited about this but disappointed. It was filled to the brim, which is great in theory, but it was lowkey hard to start eating it without it spilling over
- Patty melt ($21): 8/20, pretty solid, but lowkey reminds me of the melt from Waffle House lol
- Fries: 7/10, standard
- Complimentary ice cream w/ whipped cream: 7/10, standard ice cream, but it was nice that it was free 🥹

“Even though the restaurant is very busy during lunch hour, they always have someone on the floor to help with questions, greet customers, and take care of messes. I appreciate when a business doesn't under-staff or cut corners. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. They also helped me find something that I lost in the restaurant, which I was very grateful for. (Shout out to the customer who found my phone and gave it to an employee, I appreciate you.) With big chain restaurants like this, the staff really makes or breaks a particular location. Staff at this location is 10/10.“

A previous review mentioned the sauce was sweet but that they probably don't add sugar to their tomato sauce. I would disagree with that assumption. Half way through the pizza ... The sweetness kinda took over for me. And that's just a personal preference maybe?

Service was cold and not the friendliest.
The set up itself was decent enough and clean... They had some latin music playing which was ok.

We enjoyed the calamari, hummus, and the mixed grill and decided the lamb chops were the best part. All of it was delicious but I would order just lamb chops next time, the mixed grill is a nice way to try several meats. The hummus and pita were very good as was the calamari and the sauce it was served with was very nice as well.“

Seating is limited with reservations becoming necessary to guarantee a space, but honestly the space is the perfect set up for good conversation. The quality was immediately apparent... the prosciutto was buttery on the palate and the house pickled veggies added a bright, fresh note. For the mains, the cacio e pepe had the perfect creamy texture (I need the chef to teach me their ways for this!), well-balanced salt to black pepper, and good bite to the pasta. My husband was lucky enough to snag the final duck ragu special of the evening and (wow!) we're so glad to have done so. Perfectly cooked with tender meat and flavors that transported us right back to the osterias on the streets of Italy. We ended with the tiramisu (light and creamy) and a pistachio affogato, which did get a bit outshined. Hospitality was top notch here making this is a “must add” meal experience for your list. “Bareburger was an impromptu lunch spot that was unexpectedly great! We got the standard burger, and it was only $15 for the burger, fries + a drink during lunch (usually $21).

All around solid burger. The fries were perfection - crispy and salty. Ranch was great. Our soda was very flat but that’s okay.

“My daughter, her wife, and I went to John's to celebrate our birthdays. It was the most delightful experience. The owner told us the storied history of John's, and greeted people like friends. my daughter and her wife are vegan, and the menu here for them was extensive. we shared three vegan dishes, and they were amazing. I couldn't tell the difference between vegan and dishes with meat. The sauces were to die for, and the homemade, forest pasta was amazing. To top off the experience we were treated to decadent desserts for our birthday, along with candles and happy birthday sung to us by our waiters and the owner. This place was such a treat.
