Attentive and timely and the kids loved chatting with him and complimenting their experience as well. We made sure to clean up our destruction from the table and made sure to tip extra because a party of 8 with 4 kids is tough. (Let that be a note for other customers!) Thank you so much for having us and giving the kids such a great experience!”

“We took our family there tonight and it was an incredible dinning experience! We have kids ages 13, 12, 9 and 7. The 9 year old wanted the lobster dinner which we let him try! He had a blast. Kelly the waitress went so far above and beyond to help him and entertain our kids. The kids were curious about seeing a live lobster and she brought one out before dinner and at the end. At the end she gave an entire science lesson to the kids. The food was great too.”

Bonus, they have a wee playground right next to it where we could have the kids play while we waited for a table on their beautiful deck looking at the Green Mountains. The place was crowded, but there were no delays with service or quality. The chef put on quite an entertaining show, and everything was cooked to perfection (had the hibachi seafood combo). Prices were as expected for the quality and quantity of food. So if you're in Plattsburgh and want Japanese food, it's worth a stop...”

“Today was our first time trying this delightful little gem of a Mexican restaurant. Food was hot, delicious and the portions were HUGE! The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. Who knew they'd add refried beans to queso if that's what you ordered accidentally? 😂 We are definitely adding El Sol to our monthly rotation as it cost us far less to eat there than it would at a local chain.”

“I have never had a bad product from here. not one. It's so darned good it is dangerous to the wallet! Their cheesecakes have been my staple birthday cake of choice since well before they relocated to South Peru street . The Australian tea cake is famous for a good reason . They have the best cakes, cookies , donuts and pastries and I can't imagine anything being less than spectacular . Rambachs is an absolute must if you like delicious baked treats.”

“2/5/25 Hadn't been to The Pepper in probably 4 or 5 years until tonight. Always use to order my fave Shrimp and Chorizo Quesadillas. They were always scrumptious with bold bright flavors, tasting each ingredient separately which enhanced every bite. Until tonight. I was so excited to re-experience them. They were terrible! They were crap! Gone were the individual flavors of delicate plump shrimp, spicy zingy moist chorizo morsels, tangy melted cheese, and light flakey shells disappointingly replaced with 4 wedges of tough bland cardboard drizzled with a now lackluster crema. What in Hell happened to them? A side note, it is STILL cold in there. The heaters do not help! We had to keep our coats on. And lastely, the chairs are SO uncomfortable and the decor tired. The Pepper could be so much more. P.S. the salsa the gets served initially with chips is raunchy, ingredients way too large, color is brownish from too much cumin or chili powder or ?”
