“OMG, The food, service and overall experience was amazing. Dan and the guys behind the bar made sure it was an excellent experience. Will be going back every year on St. Patrick’s day.🍀”
“Leon's is literally in my dreams! My boyfriend and I went there for the first time three years ago. It blew our minds! Affordable, delicious food, and such a fun atmosphere. We returned a couple of times on the same trip. We live in NJ... and set up a trip last year JUST to go to Leons. I am actually scared to post a review because I selfishly want to keep it a secret for my boyfriend and I. Man, if you like chicken and oysters... you cannot go wrong. Damn, now I need to set up another trip. :)”

“Doar Brothers has completely changed the cocktail game in Charleston. Their Italian Nights are hands down one of the best experiences in the city — incredible atmosphere… world class drinks… and a team that genuinely cares about raising the bar in hospitality.
Johnathon, Jacob, Jake, and the entire crew operate on another level. The bartenders have a ridiculous depth of knowledge and creativity behind the bar. IMO true “200 IQ” cocktail minds that somehow still make everything feel approachable and fun.
They’re not just serving drinks, they’re elevating Charleston’s entire cocktail scene. Every visit feels intentional, polished, and unforgettable. Easily 5 stars.”
“One of my top 5 restaurants in Charleston. Quality and taste is EPIC and getting to chat with Kazu and Chris just makes the experience so much more intimate. Such a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food - my main recommendation is to keep a running list of the dishes served because at the end of the meal, you get to order more of whatever you liked a la carte. If you ever get the chance for a hard to get reservation here, TAKE IT!!!!”
“Simply perfection! The oyster selection is otherworldly. The chargrilled oysters the best Ive had in my life. (Florida born an culinary chef.) The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. Never have I had to do that. ) Highly recommend again and again for everything else.”
“The service was impeccable! Suzanne and I had one of the best experiences during our weekend in Charleston. Suzanne loved her Shrimp and Grits, and I opted for a Ribeye Sandwich. I'm glad I did as it was perfect. Suzanne's birthday brunch was enhanced by the live Gospel music lofting through the building. I could go on and on about our brunch it was that much of an experience.”
“The staff was amazing. It was our anniversary and the GM personally came to our table and poured us a glass of Champaign to celebrate. They also gave us a free dessert. The hostess, wait staff, and GM all took time to wish us a happy anniversary. The food was amazing as well! Overall it was a great dining experience!”

“We absolutely LOVE this place. We have always eaten at the bar in the tavern area and have no interest in sitting elsewhere. We discovered Lowland a while ago and it is now our most favorite food spot in Charleston. The drinks are outstanding, the service is excellent and the food is divine. The food is fresh, the flavors are unique and the recipes highlight authentic lowland food. This latest visit we tried the celery salad, the burger a the biscuit with a red pepper jelly and potted cheese. The celery salad was simple yet AMAZING. Simple blanched celery with chopped mint and some incredible white cheddar cheese from Wisconsin. I eat burgers almost everywhere I go but this one is truly THE BEST. The meat was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and the perfect size!!! Wish I remembered our bartenders name but he was GREAT on a Sunday night. Cannot wait to go back next month and bring our son who will visit from London!!”
“Me and my daughter had been traveling all night (and looked like we had been). We stopped here because we were starving and needed to kill time until we could check into our hotel. The staff was so friendly to us. I felt like we were under dressed (it was Easter) but no one seemed to judge us for it. As for the food - amazing!!!!! I got the fried artichoke sandwich and it was sooooo good. The fries were also very good. This place has such a good vibe. I wish we were in town longer so we could enjoy it again.”
“Hands down, amazing. If you get a alert that a last minute reservation opens up (even at 945), take it. We ordered a range of things because we didnt know when we would be back and each and every one was phenomenal. You cannot go wrong with anything. It was a little loud, but it is a small space, so that's understandable. 100% make the reservation!!”
“We had the most amazing night celebrating our 10th anniversary. The entire team went above and beyond and we left feeling so filled with joy—and OUTSTANDING food. Flavors that we never will forget and memories for a lifetime. WC team, thank you for making our first night in Charleston one we will never forget.”
“Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! Oh, and don’t sleep on the special events they host! When the chef teams up with other chef’s from around the state, they always deliver a unique and delicious experience!”

“100+ stars! Cooper, thank you for such an incredible experience! I can’t thank you enough! You were the absolute BEST! Service was beyond amazing! I had the best drink ever! I want to take you home with us! BEST ever! I just can’t give you enough stars!!! You were my favorite by far in Charleston! My daughter and I enjoyed our drinks and thank you for your expertise!”
“We went for lunch, there were so many great choices! We had the Pimento Cheese for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. My friend and I shared the Chicken Tenders and Classic Vegetarian plate full of great southern veggies. Delish! The atmosphere was inviting and the service was great. Definitely highly recommend!”
“Food made with love and care. I've been wanting to come here for a couple of years. Finally got the chance and it delivered in every best way.
You really can't go wrong here with this menu but my suggestion would be to just lean into things that you wouldn't normally have. Like I'm sure the mafé is fantastic but it's not often that I can have egusi with fufu.
The juices were also fantastic, as was the service and environment. Next time I'm in Charleston, I hope to visit again.”
“I would give the harlow 6 out if 5 stars if I could! From the service to the menu, the multiple oyster choices, the happy hours, the many specials, quality of the drinks, the happy, personable culture of the staff, the many heat lamps keeping the little outdoor garden oasis toasty and cozy, and the staff has nearly no turnover, and lots of Charleston restaurants have stupendous food, but what makes the harlow stand alone as a best of the best, is an obvious comeraderie amongst them coupled with the tastiest crab Mac n cheese in the universe along with their other delicious fare!”
“Exactly what Charleston’s been missing. Creative menu- did someone say Burrata? I have tried most things on the menu and truly loved it all, although the Bass is still my #1. So fresh, tender, just melts in your mouth. So much flavor in every bite. Cocktails are innovative and right on point. And don’t sleep on the desserts- Midnight Snack with Fruity Pebbles.. trust me.. 🤤”

“We only stayed here 1 day but we really enjoyed ourselves. The Staff is excellent and very friendly and honest. We checked out in a hurry and I left my wallet in the room. It was returned to me via express mail after they called me to let me know . I didn't even realize at that point it was missing. Edwin was a great help. Everyone there was super nice. The courtyard is an awesome hang out spot, great drinks.👍👍😁”
“Stepped out of our typical places to eat to try Azur and we were really impressed. Food, drinks, and service were all top tier. Pedro and Chris were great bartenders who made sure our experience was absolutely excellent.”

“We had an amazing experience here. We went on a Wednesday morning. Short wait time. We got the blueberry kolache, dark chocolate croissant, and the cardamom sugar kouign amann. We also got the toasted croissant latte to drink. All pastries were 5/5 stars. My favorite was the kouign amann and my fiancés favorite was the blueberry. The pastries were flaky and fresh. The latte was very unique and flavorful. I like how they incorporate the croissants into the flavor. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area. One of the best bakeries we’ve been to and plan to recommend to our wedding guests in the fall.”

“What an amazing place! Went without reservations..told them it was my 70th birthday! Got a great table for 2 in back dining room…food was amazing! Our waiter Brian was the best! When I was disappointed that the didn’t have an apple dessert I wanted he had someone go across the street to get me one with a candle on it! And Josh brought us a glass of champagne… they didn’t know us …just met us.. and treated us to make my night extra special! Try High Cotton you will love it! ( we had the Filet and crab cakes)”
“I have mixed feelings. Our first visit was over a decade ago and it was wonderful. Our anniversary was yesterday and it was an ok experience. We sat in the courtyard AB’s was placed under the above heater. We started smelling gas and the heat never reached the table area. So we were freezing. The appetizers were wonderful. The couple got seated next to us ten minutes after us and received their food first. Was told about different and best food options and a dessert menu. We were not given either. Bbq in the shrimp and grits was over powering any other flavor. Husband got fish and grits and it was excellent. Not a 0 but I’m in no hurry to go back or recommend to anyone else. Ruined my anniversary to be honest….”
“You have to seat yourself. When we went it was quite busy so we weren’t sure if we’d get ok seating or not. There was a counter for standing space.
Portions were small given the price tag. The peanut milk was strange but good to try.
It was quite loud though and there was a DJ even though it was only 2pm so difficult to talk.
Nearest parking is at the garage.”
“Had brunch today. Food was good. The chicken and waffle was really tasty.”
“Had a fish sandwich. Collard greens, slaw, fried oysters, and calamari. Outstanding. Collards off the chart. Service even better. 15/10 recommend.”

“Dining at Living Room at The Dewberry is less about simply having a meal and more about experiencing Charleston hospitality at an elevated level. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere feels intentional, refined, and remarkably calm, making it one of the most inviting dining spaces in Charleston.
What immediately stood out was the balance between sophistication and comfort. The lighting, seating arrangements, textures, and overall pacing of the environment create a space that encourages conversation, relaxation, and presence. It feels luxurious without ever becoming overwhelming or performative.
The food and cocktails were beautifully prepared, thoughtfully presented, and aligned perfectly with the atmosphere of the property itself. Every detail, from service timing to presentation, felt polished and consistent.
What many people may overlook is how well the Living Room transitions throughout the day. During daylight hours, the space feels airy and restorative, while evenings settle into a richer, more intimate atmosphere that works beautifully for date nights, executive meetings, wedding weekends, and quiet gatherings alike.
As someone who works within photography and hospitality environments professionally, I pay close attention to atmosphere, guest experience, and presentation, and The Dewberry continues to execute all three exceptionally well.
For anyone searching for one of the best luxury dining and cocktail experiences in Charleston, South Carolina, the Living Room at The Dewberry is absolutely worth experiencing.

“My date was sick and couldn't keep our brunch date. Since it was a new decade birthday for me, I went alone and had a wonderful time!! I sat in a bar booth and had fun interacting with the very interesting, knowledgeable server, who also was an adventurous cook at home. I sampled new things and compared dishes with other diners as they were leaving. It is my new favorite restaurant in Charleston! The interior is pretty, cheerful and bright. The oyster / bone marrow was elegant. So many good dishes. Their sister restaurant, The James, is also wonderful! It's not as upscale, but delicious, non-the-less! Somebody is doing something right!!”
“We had a lovely dinner at The James. I have a restricted diet and they wendy out if their way to make sure I was accommodated. There were 4 of us and everyone enjoyed our evening. Our server, Jessica was first class as were everyone we came in contact with. Would highly recommend The James.”
“One of my favorite bars. The annex is a true 5/5 must see when in Charleston. I hate going to bars and looking at a cocktail menu and having to choose. Here, I literally just say what I’m in the mood for and get an awesome drink I have never heard of! Service was amazing and the atmosphere is top notch.”
“I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! Although we didn’t have a reservation, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large party and quickly arranged a lovely table for our group. When we asked for recommendations, our waiter suggested a family-style three-course meal, and we couldn’t be happier with his suggestion! Each course was beautifully presented, and simply delicious. From appetizers to desserts, every dish was crafted with care and creativity. It was a wonderful way to experience the menu and share in the joy of great food together. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and dine here—you won’t regret it! Thank you for an amazing experience; I can’t wait to return!”
“This food was absolutely amazing! I split the scallion oil noodles with my friend (who is non-vegan and from China) and she was really impressed with how authentic the dish was. The portions of king pao mushrooms and general tso’s tofu were great too; I ended up with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-23”
“We're from Louisville so we're used to southern hospitality and charm. Hyman's were above and beyond. Genuinely amazingly friendly and hospitable. The gm was on the floor, as I understand he is most nights, and personally came by and personally thanked us for coming in and choosing them. The service was fantastic and the food was great. They have an extensive menu and 4 different fresh fish on the menu that can all be prepared almost any way you want. fried, broiled, Cajun, scampi, jerk. Choose whatever you want. The hush puppies are fantastic and everything was well presented and well cooked. Pricing is very reasonable but not cheap, nor should it be for the quality of food and the exceptional service. Meals were about 25 to 30 bucks a person. That's pretty typical for a slightly higher end experience in most Midwestern towns and far far cheaper then the 40 to 50 a person you would pay at a more say "exclusive" restaurants. If you want posh elegance that's not what they offer. If you want great food, amazing hospitality, reasonable prices, and straightforward seafood you'll regret it if you don't visit Hyman's at least once during your time in Charleston. It's located right down by the old market, so spend the day/afternoon walking the battery and shopping the market, and then stop in for an excellent dinner. Expect about a 45 min to 1 hour wait. Since it's literally 3 min from the market you can put your name in and then browse the market. There is a convenient public parking garage about 4 minutes walk away. Thanks for the hospitality!!! Most friendly dining experience my family has had in years!”
“Bro come on, because like in the morning is she hears one of us she made no noise yeah none at all in like to the point where like we were really like trying to figure it out like where do you have this dog to ask that it was good I liked it I like campus a lot I think Leo likes Clemson better but I like campus better it's weird though it's like you don't know when you're on campus you're not really creeps up on you yeah I mean all obviously a lot of that has changed I was like yeah they have one of those in in Nashville too like we ended that Legends Legends sub shop though that was pretty good it's right there okay that place that used to be throwback Jack's okay there's this place called throwback Jack's but it's closed and like we only know that because it's kind of bored it up and it is throwback Jack's on it there's some sub shop next there called Legends sub shop it's really good yeah it was extremely busy so like it appear to be very popular like and it was definitely like everybody was about like getting in and getting their food they're doing high volume it is a relatively new a new place no it's not really Italian I mean they do have like that sort of subset of the menu it's more like a like fusion type like you do rats and stuff too I mean I guess it makes sense is next to a college but like yeah we're goodI know you know people”

“I found out about Southbound, through my job. I had to go do some work there, and found the owner and everyone there, super friendly. Most people at restaurants ignore working people while they are there. As my 42nd anniversary was quickly approaching, I decided to give this place a try. Some of my past picks, have not been the best. Southbound cleared EVERY hurdle I have about restaurants. From the moment we approached the restaurant, great service began! While coming thru the gate, the hostess yelled out, "HEY LARRY" and then said, "This must be your beautiful wife"! Like CHEERS, it felt great to go somewhere, "Where everybody knows your name" We were seated and got to view the open fire oven. I had dropped off 42 roses the week before for them to put on our table, for my wife. Tropical storm Debbie, and downtown flooding prevented us from going exactly on our anniversary. I was worried that store bought roses, would not last thru the weeklong delay, Joel assured me everything would be taken care of, and not to worry. As we were seated, there on the table, sat 42 roses. Fresh, and arranged with baby breath flowers included. I was told the young lady with the hostess had arranged them. They were gorgeous! They also had an anniversary card on the table from them, not something I had dropped off. The service was tremendous, the food indescribably outstanding! I have only had steak Tar Tar once before in my life, and was greatly afraid to try it again, as the first time was awful. It was superb! They take great pride in the presentation of their food products. I felt like I was in an episode of Master Chef. We had the steak, as well as the Sea bass, okra, corn, sweet potatoes, and the Caramel cake. Everything absolutely wonderful! This was a truly wonderful and memorable dining experience!! I would give 100 stars, and a Siskel and Ebert two thumbs up! There was only one thing I was disappointed about. No sweet tea! Were In Charleston SC, no sweet tea. Everything else totally made up for it though. The staff even had everyone present sign a menu, wishing us a happy anniversry1 I will most definatly go there again for a special occasion. Thanks to Andrew, Joel, and the entire staff, for making this night special!!”
“Food was excellent, drinks were wonderful and the atmosphere is classy. Steak was cooked perfectly and portions were appropriate. Service was top notch including recommendations. We were staying at The Charleston Place so were also given suggestions and information on the other onsite dining establishments. Greatly enjoyed our time and will certainly be returning.”
“My wife and I spent our 7th anniversary here last night. It’s been 10 years since we’ve been, and it didn’t disappoint. 10 years ago and I still remember this as one of the best pieces of steak I’ve ever had, and last night was a close 2nd. The food is amazing, waitress was outstanding and offered great recommendations and phenomenal service. We live in Connecticut, but when we come to Charleston or Folly Beach, this will always be a stop on our itinerary!”
“A true dining “event” at “Sushi | Bar”Charleston. Japanese Omakasi style sushi featuring delicate flavors, precisely created by 3 outstanding sushi chefs serving 17 courses. All of the fish is flown in 2 times/week from Japan along with the spices and herbs that make this a truly unique experience. Incredible!”
“Hands down, amazing. If you get a alert that a last minute reservation opens up (even at 945), take it. We ordered a range of things because we didnt know when we would be back and each and every one was phenomenal. You cannot go wrong with anything. “This is a MUST!! It’s like a beautiful art museum as soon as you enter, beautiful exhibits!! It’s definitely a VIBE, mature crowd and the food was delicious!”

“Big Shout Out to Tina our server today at Metro Diner ! She was Wonderful! She came right over with a beautiful smile and took our beverage order. We told her we knew what we wanted. She had no problem taking our food order. She even made a suggestion to my husband that saved him a few cents. She was a ray of Sunshine. She was very attentive. She checked on us several times. The food is great! The staff is great! Their cooks know what they are doing!! You can aee they all work as a team ! We have never had a bad meal there!!”
“My wife and I did the wine blending (and tasting!) class here and it was OUTSTANDING! Eric is such a fantastic host. He is knowledgeable, fun, and has an overall chill vibe. Loved every minute of it. Learned alot, drank alot, and brought 2 amazing bottles of wine home that we blended ourselves. I highly recommend this experience. Thanks Eric!”
“I hosted an afternoon welcome tea for daughter’s wedding. This happened the day before the wedding so you can imagine I had a lot of things going on, but Baba’s make it easy for me.
I worked with Charlotte prior to the event . She went over the menu with me and helped insure I had enough food for the event.
Let me just say it was utterly amazing what Charlotte delivered. The food was not only beautiful but tasted amazing.she even brought little signs with the names of all the food for me to display. We had over 30 people at this event and everyone loved the food!
Thanks Babas for a flawless catering! I highly recommend!”
“I asked my fiancé to find a nice coffee shop that also sells beer in Charleston. After her google search, she asked our friends at The Lucky Luchador and they also recommended your establishment. I was definitely impressed with the atmosphere and selection of beer that was available. I will be coming back soon and will be your ugliest ambassador!!! 😊”
“We weren’t sure what to expect when we walked in, but we are so glad we found this gem! FYI, there is no menu but he does post it on their social media. He makes fresh sandwiches daily and sells till he runs out. Don’t let that deter you! He knows what he’s doing. These sandwiches were next level! 🔥”
“If you love authentic Italian sandwiches, Porkchetta is the place to go. Their sandwiches are served on fresh, homemade focaccia bread and packed with high-quality, fresh ingredients. Every bite is full of flavor, and the staff makes you feel right at home. An outstanding experience from start to finish — highly recommend!”

“Best seafood ever and I don’t particularly like seafood, but this was exceptional”
And don’t sleep on the desserts- Midnight Snack with Fruity Pebbles.. trust me.. 🤤”
“Dinner was very good & everyone was so very nice. Had reservations & they seated us at 5. It was Mothers Day& graduation week so they were really busy BUT no one made us feel rushed. We will definitely come back..”
“Delicious food with great presentation. Fun dining experience with dynamic flavors. Front of house team was very kind. Great experience, thank you!
Don’t forget the drum stick ice cream!”
“I would definitely recommend S.N.O.B. for the quality of their food only. My friends and I were there on March 24, 2025, during an unexpected cold snap. We're from Florida and the weather was cold, windy and brutal. The four of us were seated at a table that was almost smack dab in front of the entrance door. Thus, people were constantly coming in and out. The manager should have had enough forethought to not place a table there, let alone sit people there in low fifty degree weather and high winds. We just wanted to get our food and get out.”
“Excellent service! The atmosphere was an amazing place to grab a drink and/or eat for the evening while socializing.”
“Filipino dishes with a twist. Hands down every dish we had was so good!”
“We had a lovely dinner at The James. I have a restricted diet and they wendy out if their way to make sure I was accommodated. There were 4 of us and everyone enjoyed our evening. Our server, Jessica was first class as were everyone we came in contact with. Would highly recommend The James.”
“The best, freshest seafood! Best fish taco i ever put in my mouth. And love the atmosphere!”
“Fabulous. And if you're impatient, the sro.. best service in the house!”
“My family celebrated my niece’s 21st birthday with you this past Monday (I missed out due to illness) and did nothing but rave about not only the food but the service! The staff individually and personally signed a birthday card for my niece, had a special dessert for her and a small gift and treated her and the rest of my family extremely well! They said the food was amazing! I am so disappointed I had to miss out but plan on making a trip to your wonderful restaurant the next time we visit Charleston!”
“We had such a wonderful experience celebrating our anniversary here, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible waitress, Naomi. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about making our evening special.
What truly stood out was the thoughtful surprise she organized for us — the entire staff signed a beautiful anniversary card, and she even gave us a postcard to send as a keepsake. It was such a personal and meaningful touch that made the night unforgettable.
Naomi checked on us at all the right moments without ever being intrusive, made great recommendations, and made us feel truly cared for throughout the entire meal. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, but Naomi’s hospitality elevated the whole experience.
Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable — we will absolutely be back!”
“Great food awesome atmosphere. Service was awesome. Ate at the bar and it was perfect”
Updated from previous review on 2026-03-23”
“It’s elegance with a friendly hostess and professional wait staff! Throughly enjoyed the hot rock starter and our entrées. Super location and overall fabulous experience. Beautiful bar for cocktails as well. Very recommended if you eat and enjoy fine quality meats. Great for a date night experience.”
“I have a long, productive day where I celebrating accepting a new job with CPI Security and hanging out with Dad today who lives adlund the corner on Society. Both my parents came here back in the 60's. It was phenomenal and very enjoyable! They staff killer - very friendly. Also, I'm a former craft cocktail bartender with a fairly refined palette and that Manhattan was fire! 🔥✌🏼”
“My wife and I had dinner with four other friends here. It was outstanding. The food was over the top delicious and paired well with all the wines. Definitely one of the best places for dinner in the Charleston area. Michelin star worthy for sure!”
“Always amazing!! Cooking class with Chef Tyler was so fun!! Zero George is our go to in Charleston!”
“Two Bit Club crushed it. Jackie behind the bar was awesome, drinks were on point all night. Dave took care of us at the table and made everything super easy.
The tuna tartare was unreal and the crudo was straight up fire. One of those meals where everything just hits.
Great vibe, great people, and legit great food. We’ll definitely be back.”
“The food was incredible and our server, Courtney B was outstanding!! Courtney helped us select the perfect items and she made it fun!! Awesome!”

“Had a great experience and stay… we enjoyed our time at the pool bar. Bartenders were very engaging and friendly.. great group and they make great drinks. Cozy and quaint.. just wish they played music around pool and not just on the bar side.”
“Share Our Suzy is incredibly grateful for Swig & Swine and their continued partnership in presenting our annual Denim & Diamonds event. Their commitment to supporting local breast cancer patients and giving back to the community means so much to our mission. Because of partners like Swig & Swine, we are able to provide real support to women in the Lowcountry during treatment. We are thankful for their generosity and for standing with us year after year.”
“We visit Le Farfalle every time we visit Charleston, as it is a tradition for me and my son. We love the food and the atmosphere. We can’t wait to have many more trips together to enjoy there.”
“Delicious food, great atmosphere and unique drink options. Highly recommend.”
“Went to Charleston to celebrate ? my husband's birthday. Learned about the Forte and it was a great way to finish off our day with glasses of wine and delicious live music. Each musician was so incredibly seasoned and delightful to listen to. Thank you!”
“An entertaining chef, creative and exceptionally well-executed cuisine, a pleasingly funky ambience, and the delight at watching a fine chef at work, which equals a terrific experience.”
“Home team was a pleasure to work with! Great with responding and getting answers to me quickly, they arrived on time to cater a wedding I coordinated, set up on time, and the food was delicious! Extremely friendly and easy to work with staff who were very helpful! As a planner I appreciate a great catering team and they’ve got it! Highly recommend!”
“Great place to stop and have a drink or two with great seafood!”

“Everyone was so friendly. The food was amazing. I will definitely be back the mac & cheese will melt in your mouth.”
“Best Naan I've ever had, and the lime soda was divine. I have no issue paying for amazing food, but I do think this place is overpriced for what it offers. The food we had was very basic, although very good, and was double, if not triple, the price of all other Indian restaurants in the area. I loved the amount of non-alcoholic beverage options. Rice was not seasoned, which may be a regional thing. We may try it again and I'm leaving 5 stars because I know firsthand how ridiculously hard it is to start a small business, but I do think that if a restauarnt wants to appeal to higher end clients, the traditional dishes need to be more elevated.”
“😊Good food, and cool atmosphere. I only wish the bar seats were taller.”
“Had a delicious dinner with out of town friends celebrating a birthday. Spencer was an amazing server. Food was outstanding, drinks were delicious! I love this place!”
“My absolute favorite spot in Charleston! Sebastian is the best bartender I’ve met downtown! Super attentive and always remembers us! Not to mention the lemon vanilla bean martini is absolutely TO DIE for. Highly recommend for date nights, birthdays, or even just for a fun night downtown!”
“Had an absolutely amazing dinner at Matador! Delicious food and drink and we were SO lucky to be served by Sam! He told us incredible stories and gave us tons of tips of what to do! He absolutely made our dining experience something extra and I hope his manager knows what gem he is!”
“I only drank but the food plates that went by looked good. Its a bit loud, so private in a sense. It has an old feel, many chairs and tables variety. Service was prompt. Wooden boards on the floor. Nice bar area.”
“This is the best burger I've had in Charleston. I rate them on the same standard....Meat, American cheese, and bun. Only additions allowed are grilled onions, jalapeños, ketchup and mustard if you partake. Heavys is great but this one wins out based on the burger and better fries (came out piping hot!).”
“The ambiance, service and food were all outstanding here. The staff take there job seriously and provided us and our friends with an exceptional dinning experience.”
“Food was excellent! Our server was excellent as well. We will be back!”
“best drag show/brunch EVER! and our server Kahlil was amazing! 🤩”

“We come to Kiawah Island for many years. One of our high high Lights is dining at Aji. We are from New Jersey and had the pleasure of having dined with on the delicacies created by Tim at our local sushi restaurant and are jealous that folks in Charleston have access to this great restaurant. We look forward to returning later in the year.”
“I was lucky to stumble upon Dellzville while in Charleston. I pre-0rderd their Harvest Feast for Thanksgiving. It was by far one of the best vegan meals I have had!! I didn’t feel like I was lacking anything with the rest of my family filling up on their traditional meal. PS..mine looked and tasted better! My only regret is that I should have ordered a second platter for leftovers.”
“This place is a super gem. After trying other Pho places, I found this one to be best. The chef sat down with me and explained how she makes the broths from scratch (no MSG!) Portions are huge with very fresh meats and vegetables. The pho is served with a side plate of limes, cilantro and/or basil and bean sprouts. The place is clean and the staff is great. Love, love this place!”
“My Bride and I visit here at least once a week. She eats wings and I get my weekly fish or shrimp. The food is great and consistent. I alternate between the fried chips and onion rings. Service is always top notch. In three years only one miscue, and it was fixed immediately! It’s great to have a local place that you can depend on! 👍🏻”

“A group of seven family members had a wonderful cocktail hour and dinner the last week of May. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. Please stock more Rabbit, as it is the best thing on your menu....you were completely out of it at 6:15PM. Y'all still get 5 Stars from me!!!!”
“We’re in town for the Cooper River Bridge 10k and have really been enjoying the local options! El Jefe had great food and drinks for our family! The margarita was awesome, the trio of dips for the tortilla chips were delicious. Tacos and enchiladas were great as well! Our server Elise was so friendly and nice, she was super helpful! Thanks!”
“We were given a tip on this restaurant. While tough to get a table it was quickly obvious why. We had the rabbit roulade and the steak w wild mushrooms, but just as good as the main courses were the lamb dumpling appetizers. It was also a beautiful, refined atmosphere with top notice service.”
“Listen, I came to Bourbon & Bubbles expecting a nice dinner. But I'm here to tell you - I left this place questioning ALL my life choices. Because YES, that lobster ravioli is absolutely divine, some may say demure but I’m going with an orgasm of my tastebuds. One bite in and I was ready to trade in my KY girl heels & move upstairs. Everything else on the table held its own - crack potatoes lived up to their name, the deviled eggs were basically showing off, and the cocktails? Let’s just say their bourbon lineup could convince a Pentecostal to consider converting to Catholicism. The presentation was on point, too. It’s the kind of place where even the side dishes look better than I do in unfiltered photos.. Ambience-wise, picture a nightclub circa 2006 where velvet met gold, blue lighting was the vibe, and every bartender is a “master of their craft” (and will happily let you know). It’s moody, glam, and just the right amount of extra. 10/10 would come back, mostly to apologize to the ravioli for not meeting it sooner.”

“New rooftop bar at the Nickel hotel on King street. It was my second time there so I came by after work to check out the vibes and it didn’t disappoint. The decor is charming and very chic, offers bar seats, some booths and sections indoor as well as some couches and outdoor tables. They have these fire-pit tables which was a nice touch with the cool nights. I sat at the bar this time and ordered a last word that was spot on. Snapper crudo was light and fresh, and the fried pastry was crispy, creamy and delicious. Their menu is small but had some good options across the board.
The prices were expected as it is a nice rooftop cocktail bar in downtown Charleston. Overall it was a nice time and I find it suitable for all types of groups for good vibes. 😎”
“Gritt is an outstanding bakery with incredible baked goods that never disappoint. Every visit feels like a treat, and the bread is absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. I only wish they were open 24/7 so I could stop by anytime for something delicious. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving quality and consistency daily.”
“My husband and I visited Charleston to celebrate my birthday, and if I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Chef Masa’s newest venture is truly a must-visit. The artistic presentation and impeccable service made the evening unforgettable. Standout dishes included the Jingisukan lamb kushiyaki and Kinoko, while the crudo and beef dumplings were exceptional. The Shaka Shaka fries were a fun and unique touch, as was the apple pie—but the true highlight was the miso caramel soft serve affogato. As someone born in Japan, I felt especially grateful to experience the chef’s creations on such a special occasion!”
“Katie took great care of us, she was awesome! And this spot is not to be missed if you are visiting Charleston. We didn’t have reservations but were fortunate that they could seat 6 of us. It’s like being cozy in someone’s old fashioned parlor with craft cocktails and a delightful charcuterie board. Highly recommend!”
“What was supposed to be a quick pit stop turned into a memorable part of our trip.
My boyfriend Steve and I were just passing through and stopped at Blanca Empanada in Charleston simply to use the bathroom—but the moment we walked in, we enjoyed more than just the bathroom 😂 . The warm, inviting aroma coming from the kitchen immediately pulled us in, and before we knew it, we were being welcomed by Johnathan, whose kindness made us feel like we had been regulars for years.
We decided to stay (the best decision we made all day) and ordered one of each taco, a lamb neck burrito, and the fresh tres leches. Every single bite was incredible—full of flavor, clearly made with care, and absolutely unforgettable. The lamb neck burrito was rich and tender, the tacos were vibrant and perfectly balanced, and the tres leches was the kind of dessert you think about long after it’s gone.
What started as a quick stop became a moment we’ll both hold onto. Places like this are rare—where the food is amazing, but the people make it even better. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re anywhere near Charleston.”
