Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.“

“Dined here this evening. We enjoyed some Cocktails to start then ordered Beef Tartare, Shrimp with Veg and Roasted Carrots. Entrees varied from Pasta to Ribeye steak and Burger. All delicious. The Carbonara needed more bacon but that was the only issue. Desserts were great. The Espresso wasn’t hot enough for my guest but overall we enjoyed the evening celebrating a birthday. Will recommend to my friends for sure. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy by the time we left at 6.30 pm“

“I'm glad this new location opened closer to home, as I've been to other places and enjoyed the experience. However, it might be dangerously close. Teleferic faces the street along E. Marina Dr. in the 2nd and PCH Mall. It might be a good sunset dining spot. As pricey as it is, Teleferic Barcelona is a perfect place to treat yourself or celebrate a special occasion.

FOOD
As I've been to other locations, I knew what to expect. We ordered a few favorites and some items we had yet to try. Overall, we enjoyed the tapas and entrées we ordered. The dinner highlights were the Lobster Paella with crispy rice bottom, Empanadas, Crab Croquetas with tuna sashimi, Pulpo, Patatas Bravas, and Prime Wellington. The Paella Negra is also a delicious option I've enjoyed in the past.

For dessert, we shared the Trío Selection and La Cookie. The Trio was a great option for trying a few popular items. Our server also recommended La Cookie. The cookie with nuts and vanilla ice cream was delicious, and the half-baked cookie dough and chocolate filling were decadent and rich.

The drink menu showcases crafted cocktails and sangrias, and a full bar will satisfy all your libation needs. Our table enjoyed the Teleferic Sangias and the Virgin Gothic Mojito.

ATMOSPHERE
We made reservations for a 7 p.m. dinner and were seated within a few minutes after checking in. The atmosphere is modern, with proper lighting in the main dining area and more moody near the windows. The noise level was moderately loud, so our conversations and hearing the server were challenging initially, but we managed.

OVERALL
We had a fantastic dining experience. Our excellent server (Edy?) and staff were kind and attentive throughout our meal. We were satisfied with all the food we ordered and didn't feel overly stuffed or needed a nap after.“

“We love Marlena and try to support it every chance we get! Everything - from the ambiance to the service to the food - is such a treat. We could not love the cheesecake and gelato more (oh man, the salted caramel flavor just slayed us). I also had the best duck of my life there a while back (please bring back the duck!). We also love all the salads and options for enjoying plants/veggies along with high quality proteins. Also great wine and cocktails. Just such a gem that is sorely needed in LB! I still need to try their coffee but hoping for a gluten free pastry / breakfast option (I would def eat the cheesecake for breakfast - just saying!).

“This place is a great place to hang out and watch a jazz trio on thursdays. The bar looks out on the bay and long beach. you can step outside to the observation deck of the ship. It is very art deco, lots of wood, a big ballroom dance scene is painted above the bar. Service is slow when it gets busy though, the bar is small and the servers have to use the same bar as everyone else. The drinks are mixed well though. Great atmosphere! You want to reserve a ticket on the website in advance even though they are usually free.“

The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. We went Saturday night 11-9-2024 to see the tribute band Live Forever a tribute to Oasis and what a show so good the singer nails it it was like Liam was right there in the flesh. The bartenders are top notch very attentive always making sure you don't have an empty drink. And they know How to pour and me she drinks properly. The owner is a cool guy and old skate boarder he's not that old but he was telling me about the bad it's a family business very cool guy. Its a fun hang all the people in there were nice. The band that night WOW great tribute to Oasis. I hope the GOOD BAR has them back. Go and support this Bar our small business owners need us.“

“Every time I’ve been at Black bar a very enjoyable experience, it has a wonderful selection of whiskey which I drink. They have wonderful, creative cocktails that I’ve tried and never been disappointed. The pizza is wonderful as well. Please try it.
