I got the HK style french toast, very sweet and more of a dessert but it was amazing nonetheless. Second item i got was the cold sesame noodle (no chicken) and i’ve never had this amazing dish before and it was life changingly good.

Funny story but they threw away my food while i was in the bathroom for two minutes but they apologized and gave me a free meal to go and pastry. I didn’t care that much but happy they fixed an error!

“The workers are really nice, but this place is so overpriced and they charge for everything. If you get a bagel with cream cheese, they barely add any cream cheese and they charge you for extra. The coffee is small and it's at least $6. The bread is very good.“

I ordered a cold brew, but it was extremely watered down, so that was disappointing. The woman who took my order at the counter was not friendly at all, which really ruined the experience for me. It’s almost like I had no right to be there. I didn’t order any food, but the open faced bagels looked really good, so I gave the food 5 stars as a benefit of the doubt.
But I’m not sure I’ll come back based on the sour mood of the cashier.“

“I had ordered a 12 slice carrort cake with butter cream frosting for my boyfriend's birthday. It was a hit! Everyone loved the flavor and spices. It was a very dense and moist cake as well. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend this bakery. I am very happy and very satisfied!“

“Tartine Silver Lake is a gem! The space is open and inviting, with a great neighborhood vibe. I grabbed a morning pastry and a coffee for pickup, and everything was ready fast and tasted incredible. The croissant was buttery and flaky—definitely one of the best in LA. The coffee was rich and smooth. Staff were friendly and upbeat, even with a line forming. Perfect spot to grab something quick or hang out for a bit. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!“

“Los Feliz in California is a must and Figaro must be included! This is a wonderful unassuming French restaurant, very traditional French cuisine. Get the Moules Marinieres! They give you so many mussels and the fries were delicious! My only issue is that they don't serve bread to dip in the broth and I had to ask for a spoon. There was no way I was going to leave that delicious broth, well seasoned with rosemary! The Kir Royal was standard. Their desserts were also delicious. Had the millefeuille (Napoleon) and took home the bread pudding. The millefeuille was creamy and not overly sweet. The bread pudding was a very large portion that could be divided easily into two servings. My friend had the macarons. She said the pistachio was the best she had ever tasted. Service was pleasant. Dining was in old leather cushioned chairs, a little low and hard to prevent your bag from being on the floor. There are options to sit at other tables with bistro chairs Looking forward to returning to this restaurant!“

“My first Crème Brûlée doughnut was in Seoul Dunkin. I was not sure I'd ever taste one in US. Visiting from Chicago, I had to come here. I was happy to taste my fav doughnut again.

“It’s a nice spot to hangout. My friends and I came here after a hike and we all got drinks. It was decent but we stayed because of the patio and played some games. Friendly staff & very clean. Parking was hard to find on a Saturday morning though“

“Another trendy coffee spot in Koreatown. I got an einspanner cold brew which was really good if not a bit on the weaker side for coffee. My friend said the matcha here is pretty decent. Drinks are pretty pricey, hovering between $6 and $9. Expect a 15-20 minute wait here.“

“This is a Persian bakery. Meaning, the sugar profile for each item is different than a traditional French pastry shop. It's essentially not as sweet. The cream puffs are light and quite good, as are the napoleons - again much less sugar, but good.“

“Excellent place for all bakery products. This always a queue, soliciting the lovely Brazil. I loved the big Sangki bread and the Banana Bread. The hummus and yoghurt dip, what's awesome? It's her secret recipe for over the years. I heard conversations where the third generation had come to buy from the bakery. It is an excellent place to have your morning breakfast and start the day with an excellent taste combined with health. Reasonable prices great value for money“

“I tried all three of the vegan cookies available: bourbon chocolate ( can’t tell it’s vegan), rainbow sprinkles (tasty sugar cookie), and lavender lemon ( no lavender taste, but a strong rosemary taste). At $4/cookie they are a bit expensive but good for a treat.“

“I have been to the 2 Little Tokyo locations and this one is definitely the winner! there’s a huge variety of pastries and things to eat for a quick bite (you might probably have to eat it standing or elsewhere during the weekends since it gets pretty packed and there’s just 3 tables!) but the steamed buns were good!, the matcha mochi wasn’t too sweet so it was perfect, the almond croissant was fine but their specialty is definitely on other pastries! will definitely come back again to try more stuff.“

“Shoutout to the Rittenhouse location. We are at Chop with our 4 year old son who just had surgery. I figured after the day we had let’s have some cookies. I placed an order from Levain on door dash. My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

“This is the absolute go to bakery. While it was the sign that says ‘One of LA’s Top Cookie Destinations’ that brought me in, it was the warm welcoming service and the incredible quality and care that goes into every single item that keeps us coming back. The breads are above and beyond anything I’ve experienced. The sour dough and garlic and olive oil loafs are our family favorites. We can’t not have a loaf going in the house at all times. Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. “Modern, clean cafe with yummy Asian inspired treats. We got their chocolate mochi brownie, miso cinnamon roll, and cream bun.

All were delicious, but the mochi brownie was our favorite. The miso perfectly complements the cinnamon roll and the roll still tastes sweet. The cream bun was so soft and not too sweet.

Street parking available nearby. Cafe has good seating, high ceilings, and modern decor.“

“Road trip checking out bakeries in China town. This place was my top favourite!! Very authentic Chinese bakery with quality ingredients. Very large portions with reasonable prices. “Wife Cake” was very unique not like typical bakery recipes - wintermelon, variety of seeds for complexed taste and texture. Peanut candies are very crunchy, fresh, not too sweet. Easy to find street parking.“

“The place itself is in a quintessential strip mall and if you’re not Latine you may feel out of place. I’m 5’2” and when I walked in I felt like a giant! And while I speak Spanish and am Mexican American, people definitely stared. Regardless, no one was rude. It was just a vibe. The vegan white concha I bought was excellent! And only 20 cents more than their regular pan which is a great deal! I’ve had a vegan concha elsewhere before that was not half as good for double the price. They have at least three vegan breakfast items (burrito, torta, and corn tamales) but one Yelp reviewer who favorably reviewed the burrito warmed that it was very oily and while that was not a drawback for him, it was for me so I just ordered the concha and a corn tamal which I look forward to having for lunch in a bit. Overall, if I’m in the area, I would definitely visit but hoping for even better pan dulce at other places that I’ve yet to discover.“
