“Come here first time as we want to go to North restaurant and found out it was closed permanently. We order pho beef noodles, papaya salad, and barbecue pork cold noodles. The food is authentic. I missed bun cha ha noi in North restaurant. The server brought out the pho and take tooo long for the vege and sauce to come. Pho they gave very little vege (a bit spring sprout and only 5 green leaves! Unlike the pho We ordered from Vietnam town where we can get good amount of fresh leaves), the broth is awesome. Too bad they give way too little vege.the service is too slow even there are only a few customers.Barbecue pork is decent but not as good as they did in bun cha Ha Noi where we had in North restaurant.“
“Absolutely amazing experience! My husband and friend came here on a rainy Saturday and had to wait a bit. Once we were seated we were greeted pretty quickly by Helen who was super friendly and knowledgeable. All of our food was super hot, fresh, and delicious! I would recommend this place !!!!!“
“Din Tai Fung is a top contender for my favorite Chinese restaurant. Their Hot & Sour Soup and Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao are absolute must-tries. These perfectly formed soup dumplings are a burst of flavor in every bite!Today, I ventured beyond my usual favorites and tried the Cod Dumpling and Vegetable & Pork Wonton Soup. Both were delicious, but they didn't quite reach the same level of wow-factor as my usual picks.Pro tip: To avoid a wait, consider reserving a table in advance. They also have bar seating for a more casual option during off-peak hours.Overall, Din Tai Fung is a fantastic restaurant with consistently delicious food. Love it!“
“We have been to Burma Choice several times and enjoyed the experience. There are not many Burmese restaurants in the area. So, the vibe, the decorations, and the flavors of the dishes feel different. On our most recent visit, Black Pepper Lamb was cooked just right, tender and juicy. Burma Choice Noodle (vegetarian) was flavorful. The only downside was that all the dishes were salty. And that is the reason why we don't visit this place very often. The staff were friendly but not striving for better service. Despite listing carrots, the Black Pepper Lamb came without them. When my husband asked about this, the response was a shrug and 'I don't know what the chef did.'There are many unique meat and vegetarian dishes. Be sure to order rice separately because it doesn't come with the dishes.“
“Love their noodles - all 3 types are chewy and delicious! I am a non-spicy eater and appreciate I can get lots of flavor and it isn’t lost with the non-spicy option. I enjoy both the regular soup as well as the tomato one!We also like their appetizer plates where we can pick our favorites… and the fried pork too!“
“My colleague wanted pho for her birthday dinner because she was craving so I happened to find this place in downtown SJ; a plus, it opens late compared to the other pho spots. The ambiance is clean, modern, and spacious. There is even a bar for drinks, had I known I would have had drinks here before going to a bar. There wasn't many people dining during the week but our server, Kathy, was quite attentive to us even though we asked her to come back three times since my friend and I were catching up. The food is very delicious and portions were fairly sized. For appetizers, it was our first time having taro egg rolls and they were delicious although I wish there were more than just 3 (priced $8). I ordered brisket pho and my friend ordered wonton soup with yellow noodle. My broth was delicious; clear and not cloudy. The meat portions were fairly portioned in my pho and I was happy with it! I ordered chicken chow fun for take out for my husband. He said it was good but needed more chicken, so next time, I think its better to have in person rather than ordering to go. Overall, service and food were decent and better than many of pho places around. KV Noodle is probably one of the top ones in downtown SJ. Thank you to our server Kathy who was great and surprised my friend with a smoothie for her birthday. Exceptional service! I will definitely be back :)“
“An absolute gem of a place! Honestly I was never a fan of dumplings but this place really changed my mind. I would highly recommend the vegetable steam dumplings and dan dan noodles. The pot stickers and chicken soup dumplings are also really good. We come here often and have brought so many friends who absolutely love it! I would highly recommend that you come check out this place!“
“Came here for dinner on a Saturday night after some rock climbing. Luckily we put our name down right before a bunch of groups came and we got seated in a few minutes. Otherwise it was looking to be at least a 20 min wait. Ordering was through your phone. You also pay on your phone. Water is self serve. Food comes out on disposable plates. So turn around for tables can be pretty quick! They have their system nailed down. All the food came out quickly and it was all delicious. But oh my god the pork katsu. That first bite was heavenly and I will have to order it every single time! We all got a variety from karage to chicken katsu but the pork...always pork from now on. It was tender and just melted in my mouth. And the fry was perfectly crispy. I can't wait to come back!“
“Amazing ox tail udon. Very tender. I added a poached egg to it. Broth clean and not salty. We also had chicken karaage and fried whole squid, which was also tender and flavorful. If you are into udon, this is the place to get something that is different from the others. This place gets busy so it's a good idea to get there at opening.“
“We swung by to grab some takeaway bao and dumplings, and the service was impressively quick, friendly, and patient. While waiting to cash out, my little niece spotted a furry pink bunny stuck to the metal shelf, and the staff kindly offered it to her, which was part of their Chinese decorations. She was super happy, and I greatly appreciated the kindness. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service—the active listening and thoughtfulness made our first visit memorable. We're already looking forward to returning to this tiny, causal take-out location with no seating. They're situated in a parking plaza with free parking, though it's not extensive. We didn't encounter any issues with parking during our visit.“
“Great comfort food! Customers get to choose the type (size/shape) of noodles they want, from the small round to the flat belt noodles. I tried the Beef Noodles with the small round noodles. The size was quite generous. The soup was tasty and the meat was tender. I will certainly be back to try the flat noodles, my fave kinda noodles.“
“Udon was delicious, beef was cooked well, sauces were yummyKid-friendliness: The setup is a little difficult for kids. It's kind of intended for one tray per person and fitting multiple bowls on a tray is a little hard, but they have plenty of high chairs and space to use them, so overall it's good.“
“Nice restaurant. The menu has all the typical dishes and more. We just tried a few things on their menu, and everything was good. The wontons in the wor wonton soup was really good. There are lots of veggies in it which I like. We also had the pan-fried pork buns. Crispy bottom. The filling was just ground pork, which was good. We just ordered a couple of vegetable items. Dry string beans and eggplant in garlic sauce. Both were great. The portion size was large, which I appreciate. Lots to take home. I will be going back.“
“The staff is friendly and responds tactfully to customers. Taste is okay. The restaurant is clean, so customers like it. Unless a new Chinese restaurant opens in this area, it will likely be exclusive for a long time. It's a shame that the sweet and sour pork doesn't have chewy meat.“
“The star dish: black bean noodles. If a dish has me hooked on every bite, I can literally make space even on a full stomach. This dish was 'it's: savory, 'al dente' noodles. Well made and a simple dish. The Sweet and Sour Pork (Beijing Style). Is what the restaurant is well known for. The big difference with this dish is that there's no red coloring in the sauce. I like how they served the sauce on top of the pork. This prevented the meat from becoming soggy from being drenched in sauce. I was not too impressed with the garlic beef. My guess is that they used some sort of tenderizer, which threw off the texture of the meat. It was okay, but not impressive. I went on a Saturday afternoon, when the restaurant was crowded. Wait time was around 30 minutes. The restaurant is nice and clean.“
“This place is great! I feel like enjoyed it even more than the Santa Clara location?! I pretty much stick to the to the tonkatsu ramen (I prefer thin noodles), the broth is creamy and deeply flavorful, the charshu is delicious, I kind feel like I could take or leave the spinach but it’s nice and fresh. The crispy chicken (Karaage) is bomb. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’ve had mixed experiences picking up…insert minor rant: They follow some of the requests in the order, but often miss things I’ve paid extra for, last time it was corn and garlic, this time it was charshu and garlic. I caught the garlic and asked for one and the guy helping me first looked in my bag, then checked my receipt while saying “did you order garlic”, and didn’t apologize when he saw I had. I felt like he thought I was trying scam them, when they’re the ones that made the mistake. I asked if I could have 2, given that it’s free in the restaurant and I had missed out last time (though I didn’t mention that, didn’t seem necessary), but he refused. The missing charshu was just a bummer too. Neither are a huge deal, but just takes away from the experience a little, will stick to dining in going forward.“
“There has been nothing in the menu we do not like. The best appetizer is the roti with chicken curry. The Curry is a non spicy coconut milk curry. The best salad is the green tea salad. It has a slight kick even if you drop the jalapeños. The best soup is the samosa soup. For entries there are lots of good options, but I like the fiery dishes. They are sweet and spicy.Think of Burmese food as Indian, Thai, and Chinese fusion. If you like any of those cuisines you can find something you would enjoy on the menu.“
“Small but excellent place w really fast service. Authentic tasting Thai food . The egetabels were super fresh and crunchy. Highly recommend the khao soi, the chef was super accommodating to switch out the fried chicken with fried tofu instead. YUM.Vegetarian options: Basil tofu, Tom kha, khao soo, curries, pad thai, pad see eaw and more!“
“This was our first time dining here and we had an amazing experience! If you're not sure what restaurant to dine at in Vietnam Town, you definitely want to check this spot out! The net egg rolls (must try!!) have such a slight and delicate crisp, making every bite so satisfying! Their pho dac biet was so aromatic and packed with meat! The fried chicken rice plate was so tender and paired so well with the fish sauce for a burst of umami flavor! Their taro salad was something I've never tried before, and was so tasty! The fried taro balances well with the tanginess of the salad and so addicting to eat! And lastly the shaking beef was so juicy and flavorful and loved the sauce! The portions are so generous! The restaurant itself is very cute and clean! We loved the lantern decor! We received great service and were informed about the popular menu items. Overall it's a fantastic spot to dine with family and friends! There are so many restaurants in Vietnam Town, and it can be so hard to pick where to eat, but you definitely want to check this spot out! We will definitely be back! Since it's located in a busy plaza, parking can get crazy especially during the lunch hour. But since people are coming and going for lunch, it's fairly easy to find a parking spot. There's also a parking garage in the very back of the plaza, very close to Pho This Way!“
“Last night, We decided to have dinner at this place. The chilly weather made it the perfect time for a steaming bowl of pho. The restaurant has its own parking lot, but there is also street parking available. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The menus were handed to us, allowing us to quickly decide on our order. To start, we ordered the fried egg rolls, which were crispy and flavorful. For our main course, we opted for the filet mignon pho and the brisket pho. The vegetables served with the pho were fresh and added a nice crunch to the dish. The food itself was solid, with the flavors blending together harmoniously. The service was quick and friendly, ensuring that we had a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant itself is cute and spacious, providing a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying our meal. Overall, it was a satisfying dinner, and I would recommend this place to anyone craving a delicious bowl of pho.“
“Came here for a dinner with a friend and food did not disappoint. We tried the half roast duck, garlic pork and fish fillet mustard soup. All options were good, the roast duck was our favorite. Yummy, casual and cozy dinner spot for authentic chinese food at a great price point. And staff were very nice.“
“Finally tried Thai mama for the 1st time tonight. I’m so impressed, sorry I don’t know your name but the young man taking orders was super helpful & helped me make great choices. Lots of delicious vegan options which makes a nice change. We’ll be back.“
“My family’s first time eating dumplings, and it was great the service here is quick and all the dumplings we tried especially the pork soup dumplings and chicken wontons in Chile oil were amazing. A great choice for families or first timers for dumplings.“
“An absolute hidden gem! My husband and I weren't feeling the food court food and found this place on yelp. It took forever to find, but luckily, with some help from the yelp reviews, we were able to find it. There was only one other table inside and we were glad for it since we wanted to get away from the mall crowd. Our server was super friendly and attentive and predicted our needs before we even had to ask. The food was delicious. We got the tiger prawns with garlic noodles, mango salad, and the open faced banh mi with soft shell crab. Highly recommend checking out this place! It's a great place to bring some friends and have some drinks and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and good food :)“
“I've been eating their pho for years. True to its name, their pho is very good. Recently, I decided to try something else on their menu, Bun Cha Ca Thia La. It's a rice noodle soup with fried fish paste and fresh dill. I love the taste! The portion comes with slices of fresh white fish, fried tasty fish paste, tomato, fried tofu and pineapple. The broth is clear but rich flavor and delicious. It quickly becomes one of my favorites beside Bun Rieu from this place when I want to something light instead of beef pho.“
“+ Great variety of pho noodle soups. There are quite a lot of menu items (e.g pork intestines) that I have not seen in any other Vietnamese pho restaurants in Bay Area.+ Personally really enjoyed the wide rice noodles.+ Good portion size- The soup has a slightly sweeter taste than usual.“
“Did this place live up to the hype? YESSSS. I am pretty picky with my pho... in order to impress me, a good bowl of pho must include:- clear, beefy and hearty broth but not too salty- broth not overpowered by spices esp cloves- fresh noodles- good ratio of meat, noodles, and herbs- piping hot so it burns my mouthAnd yes, this place had it all. I think this may be the best bowl of pho I've had in a long time.“
“Although there were no tables available when my party arrived around 6:45pm on a Sunday evening, they told us we could start getting our food in the meantime. Pretty cramped store. Not as many ingredients as I would've liked to see. Sauce bar was also very limited. I went with the beef bone broth base (mild spicy) with ingredients like udon, quail eggs, veggies, beef, etc. Beef was pretty good! I'm usually not the biggest mala fan but the mild spicy broth was pretty good. My parents thought the medium spicy beef bone broth was a good spice level, but too salty. They liked my mild spicy one better. Food comes out pretty quickly after you get it weighed and hand the bowl over to them to get it cooked. The food came out piping hot! Overall good option if you want a fun experience of building your own bowl. So if you're craving hot soup and want a fairly quick meal (assuming no wait), then this might be a good spot for you!“
“It's been my go-to for years for Bánh Canh Cua :) I've introduced many friends who keep coming back here. They now take Venmo or Zelle compared to previously being cash only.Parking: Parking spots are very compact w many cars who don't part centered.“
“I heard about this place by word of mouth and came across a discount code if I ordered though the app. One day I was in the mall feeling sick and with a sore throat, so thinking back on it, I used the promo code and ordered two cups of kake broth. That was the best broth I've ever had!I've come back many times since, trying various different things on the menu. Their noodle dishes are delicious and I love their tempura! I can't understate how good the food is!Sometimes, when I'm in the mall, I'll order a cup of broth just because.Parking: Mall parking costs $2/hr after the first two hours.Wheelchair accessibility: It's in the second floor of the mall, which is accessible by elevator or the second story of the adjacent parking structure.“
“We’ve been dining here for years and it’s our go-to AUTHENTIC Szechuan comfort food! Kathleen (owner) is SUPER FRIENDLY (completely customer oriented) and will do anything to make it right for you. Anything less than 5 stars is just not right so let her know if something doesn’t meet your expectations and give her an opportunity to delight you.“
“Came for the weekend breakfast. Lv breakfast wrap was my favorite with yotiao wrapped in fried scallion pancake. The scallion pancake was fried well with a mochi like consistency. The yotiao would be better if crispier. Thought they could've added more sauce, I added the self serve hot sauce and special sauce which accentuated the yumminess. The turnip cake egg sandwich was good, turnip cake could be crispier too. The kurabuta bun was fine. Summing up, I'd come back for the scallion pancake wrap.“
“The food/soup is delicious and when it says spicy, better believe that!!I ordered Combo D which is beef bone rice noodles + your choice of appetizer and/or green bean soup or poached veggies. I got the fried pork dumplings and green bean soup as my sides. The green bean soup comes out first because it’s served cold and I was glad it was because when I got done with my soup and drinking the broth, I needed something cold and sweet. The green bean soup is slightly sweet. I had no idea but it is a dessert soup. The beef bone soup comes out with the soup/noodles in the large bowl and meat w/spicy sauce ima separate bowl. I’m not sure if I did it right but I poured the whole bowl of meat and sauce into my noodles and it became like hot lava! I love spicy and this had me sweating and coughing. Loved every bit but please be mindful of your heat tolerance. The pork dumplings are served piping hot and freshly made! Crispy bottoms and soft tops! I would take a bite of the dumpling and then soak it in the soup broth to soak up the flavor and bam, soup dumpling!Definitely give this place a try! Located adjacent to Lion Supermarket. If you blink, you’ll miss it and you don’t wanna miss it!“
“You really can't go wrong with any of the noodles, the dumplings are good and so are the other appetizer. Service is good, atmosphere is chill. It's your typical Chinese noodle restaurant serving great food.Parking: It gets busy at dinner time and can be hard to find parking.“
“Went with my Mom and it was during lunch. The place was half full. It's next to Ranch 99 in the Westfield We got three items. Crispy sweet pork, Shrimp&Egg fried rice and Wonton soup. I will say the fried rice was salty, the flavor was good though. And the Crispy pork was tasty. Totally forgot to take picture of the soup.. If you're hungry with 2 adults you want to order at least 4 dishes. We got 3 and were still not satisfied Fast service there. The workers were also friendly. You order on your phone. Can also pay for bill all thru Qr code. The place looks fairy new Parking lot in front“
“It's been a while since I visited Fu Niu Tang. Craving for crawfish, I decided to give it a try when I saw it on their menu. It's crayfish season now! They use live crawfish. It didn't disappoint! As someone who has tried countless crayfish dishes, from hand-held seafood to stir-fries to Sichuan-style.Since everything else was spicy, I ordered garlic flavor, which still had a bit of spice but not as heavy as the spicy ones. The flavor was so fresh! The crayfish flavor seeped into the sauce and cucumber. The rice noodles soaked in it were delicious! Next time, I definitely want to try the spicy flavor“
“My family and I have been going to this noodle restaurant for almost 5 years. The food has always been great, and the quality has never changed. My kids love the braised beef noodle soup and the fried peanut appetizer. The noodles are very chewy and pleasant to eat, and the soup is always flavorful and not too salty. The food is also priced very reasonably. Although, they only accept cash, but I don't find that too much of an issue because there is a Walgreens close by with an ATM. Overall, highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: The staff are very nice and friendly to kids, and there are many menu options that are not spicy and great for kids.“
“Pretty prompt service in seating & taking orders. Our food was tasty & flavorful, add the ginger scallion in oil to the bowl of noodles & it elevates the taste. The chilli oil is lethal - almost choke on it going down the wrong way. ?“
“Just discovered this place! Didn't know it was so close to work. It's like a little hole in the wall. What makes it a great place is their stuff is fresh. They make their own dumplings there too and you can probably watch them from outside making them. Their food tastes so good and service was super quick. We were expecting to pay a lot but the prices here were reasonable. Will definitely come back!“
“Although it seems like it's Chinese food, it's actually very authentic Vietnamese food. Lots of great egg noodle soup variations. Food is very affordable - maybe $10-15 per bowl. The waiter pointed us to a seat but some folks sat took and therefore took our table. But I am grateful that the waiter did the hard decision to boot them out and seat us first. Note: I recommend their coconut juice drink. It's so refreshing!“
“This is one of my favorite ramen spots in the South Bay. It is inside a grocery store, so expect a food court style seating arrangement. The food comes out quickly, and on days they take longer there is a whole grocery store and book store to look through. They are friendly and always get the order correct. We usually get the 36 and the 63 when we go, and I personally love how the spicy char sui miso soup!“
“Love the massive sushi rolls here. Their ratio of filling to rice is amazing. Seriously so much fish/stuffing per roll and the fish was also fresh and buttery. Reasonable prices too. The Mexican roll was $9.99, the O-philly roll was ($10.99), and the Spicy Crazy Roll was ($13.50). Miso Soup was perfect and a comforting side. Super kind service and a cozy ambiance.“
“Food was okay. Pretty expensive for banh mi. Amount of food for price was not good. Pho was good. Thai tea wasn’t as sweet as expected and with too much ice. I had requested light ice. Overall I would recommend customers just stick to pho here.“
“I've been here a few times. For dine in and take out. Typically get the chicken pho, spring rolls or brisket phi. All are delicious. Generous portion. Quick service.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly place. Nothing specifically for kids but a casual enough environment that the little ones will be comfortable. Saw quite a few families with kids last time I went.“
“Delicious food, quiet at times though love a little taste of Thai. We ordered the wrapped lemongrass Cod fish, chicken Satay, Red curry, Pineapple fried rice, coconut rice, green veggie curry, and papaya salad. All dishes were prepared amazingly well. When we got there at about 7:30pm we thought we and two other couples would be there to have a quiet dinner. At about 8:15pm, a crowd of people came in and it got louder but it's okay. I think locales eat quite late in the spring time. We ordered the mango and sticky coconut sweet rice which was delicious! Thank you for the wonderful meal. We will continue to eat here at our favorite Thai restaurant since there are many vegetarian options and our new favorite Cod wrapped in banana leaf with lemongrass flavors- yumm!“
“Pho is delicious and full of flavor. We had Gyosa as an appetizer. I ordered the Sour and Spicy, it was but delicious. My wife ordered Beef Pho without cilantro. Unfortunately, they forgot to take out the cilantro. However, it was delicious.A unique thing about the place was the robotic waiter that dropped off the condiments. It makes for a unique talking point.“
“I was killing time in Valley Fair and have always heard about Ox 9 Lanzhou Handpulled Noodles and loved they had a location in a mall food-court! I ordered the Lanzhou Handpulled Noodles Soup with the medium round noodles. The noodles and meat both tasted very fresh, and I loved adding the chili oil to the broth. There weren't that many people in line when I went, so my food came out very fast. I wish my area had malls with food courts as good as Valley Fair!“
“This place gets SUPERRR crowded during the weekend. The waits are usually around 10-20 mins. Weekdays are your ideal days to go. Since I went on a super crowded day alone, it took me 5 minutes to be seated and 3 minutes to wait for my food. The pho tai was a 4/5. The broth was super flavorful, but the beef was a little undercooked for my liking. Definitely would come back on a less crowded day!“
“Definitely recommend after visiting twice. This place is like a taste of Osaka in the Bay. The okonomiyaki is great, as well as the lunch plates. This is my second favorite Japanese place after HiroNori Craft Ramen, but this might change after I try Ramen Nagi for the first time.“
“Ordered the chicken pho. Very good! Lots of flavor in the broth. Fresh ingredients. Restaurant itself feels clean and bright. Marcos G was my server. Greeted with a warm smile and very attentive without being overbearing. Great lunch! Definitely be back!“
