“Who's alright?I just wish they would give you more food for the price. And then the spaghetti was kind of like there wasn't really much going on for it , you know , like I kind of little disappointed , they should just give more meat with how much noodles they just give you“

“We always order the regular pulled noodles with option to get as much meat as fits in your palm! Great option for a full meal! Love the broth and noodles, if you need ask to bring your broth hot , because regular temp is always, as you would be eating it right away“

“What a hidden gem! The snowflake potstickers are so crispy and juicy, best enjoyed in the restaurant! My son gets so excited to go here before his baseball practice. My daughter loves their soup dumplings, and the fried rice is our family favorite. Staff is always kind.“

“Been wanting to try this spot for the longest but feel like I would be let down because Nam Vang on Alvin is elite and always a sj staple. Eventually gave it a shot because my brother went give his opinion. Came on a Monday around 5pm. No one in sight... we were the only ones there, which wasn't a good sign, service was great though.
Overall clean and your standard Vietnamese restaurant.
To the food! Man the #1 was honestly as good or little better than nam vang. I did it with broth today since my body needed some thing soupy from the weekend. Meat was very tender, soupy was cleansing my soul, and a lot of flavor from the dried shrimp and ground pork. Chinese donut was fresh it felt like. Only thing the meatball was not sticking together as much as I like (I like Nam vang meatballs better)
Glad I have this place a shot. Probably will go here again soon to try the non broth one.
Also heard it could be same family as owner of Nam Van, which would make sense.
I don’t understand why this place not busy. Maybe location issue. Feel like restaurants there don’t get enough foot traffic“

“These were the best noodles I’ve ever had! I ordered chicken with pumpkin puree and my husband had clear broth beef noodles, and both were amazing. Staff were very friendly. Everything was served in less than 15 minutes though it was lunch time. The only thing were the portions - they were huge even for my husband ) if they had options of ordering half a portion that would be perfect 👌🏻“

“I had never been to a noodle house but my son brought me here. I was pleasantly surprised by his noodle dish. I've never been a at noodle fan but the noodles were so flavorful. I couldn't put my finger on it but it was so good!! Not too spicy, perfect blend of spices. I had the beef chow mein and it was absolutely perfect if you are craving chow mein. We are every last bit of everything.“

“Highly recommend the delicious , tender, and authentic Hainanese chicken. Must order. We had 1/2 chicken. The chicken soup was very tasty soup and costed $1.
The stirred fried green bean with minced meat was good texture with flavors.
Ordered a whole Hainanese chicken for our Lunar New Year’s Eve dinner 😋“
“This new spot opened up. It’s located inside a building called the “Culinary Block” inside a large parking lot for take away orders only. Overall, the price is good for the quality and quantity of food. I got the Northwest Lianpi noodles, Xinjiang Rice Noodle With Beef Shank, Meiling Congee, Homemade Yogurt, and Homemade Plum Juice.Liangpi: The noodles were soft and slightly bouncy with a nice chew to them. Very unique texture! It came with three sauces to mix into the noodles so you can adjust the spiciness however you like. The flavor was very balanced and it was easy to finish the whole thing without getting tired of the flavor.Xinjiang Rice Noodle: This dish was very flavorful and a little on the saltier side compared to the other dishes. Nice if you are into something heavier in flavor. It’s not as spicy as it looks and comes with a thick round rice noodle.Meiling Congee: This dish was pretty special, the flavor profile is very subtle but well balanced. I haven’t tried something like this before. It has a tiny hint of sweetness and has a bit of a nutty soymilk flavor and bits of lotus seed inside. Like a dessert porridge. Very tasty!Homemade Yogurt: This yogurt honestly has a phenomenal texture and I would definitely recommend it! It’s almost like a mix between mochi and liquid yogurt in the slightly stretchy texture. The flavor is good too since it’s just a tad sweet and just a tad sour.Plum juice: Slightly sour and sweet juice that is refreshing to go with food and increase appetite.Overall, I would say the food here is pretty good because the owner really pays attention to the quality! The food is well seasoned and balanced. Can’t wait to try the other things on the menu.
Parking: Plenty of parking“

“This place is one of the most underrated restaurants ever in the bay. The udon noodles are a little pricey and the menu doesn't have much variety but the food is one of a kind. Their udon is the best I've had anywhere in the city and is on the same level as those restaurants in Japan.“

“I absolutely love Big Fish Chinese Cafe! It’s mind-blowing how delicious and cheap the lunch specials are! The Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Pork were only $15.95 and $14.95, and they even came with broccoli and hot and sour soup! Unbelievably good value. I will definitely be a regular here. Show Big Fish some love!“

“I originally wanted to try a different pho spot, but the line was way too long so I decided to give Pho This Way a try instead — and I’m glad I did. The food was surprisingly really good, especially the pho. Their broken rice is also a must try. Great flavor, good portions, and fast service. Definitely coming back“

“Came here for a casual date night on a Friday. Place was pretty empty for a Friday which meant we got seated right away, and staff was friendly throughout. Portions run small so plan to order more than you think you need. Still a great value. For the food itself:
The Dan Dan noodles are the move. Oily, salty, spicy, and the Sichuan peppercorns actually numb your face and stick around. Makes sense they're the most popular thing on the menu.
Chicken xiao long bao were good but the broth inside was weak compared to other places I've had them. Still good though.
Chicken potstickers were well executed, good crisp on the bottom, but nothing standout about them.
Sweet and sour cucumber was a solid starter and looked nice, but the slices were too thick to actually be able to rip out.
The egg fried rice is really good. Oilier than most but that's exactly why it works.“

“Wonderful handmade noodles dishes, very QQ (aka bouncy and chewy). The noodles are made to order so there's a bit of a wait but it's worth it. Portions are generous and all around delicious. Please note that this place only take cash so be sure to have them handy. It does get crowded around noontime so be prepared to wait.“

“My friend likes the dry ramen for $20, so we go here to meet up. Got the $8 cod roe over rice, melon drink with ice cream $8, and the dry ramen. We went to the other Marufuku location in Campbell and they don’t have the dry ramen so was sad about that. The dry ramen has thick udon like noodles which I like. The ramen has thin noodles, too thin for my liking. Sorry, only remembered to take photos of the melon drink and rice. Good location, you can also go to Trader Joe’s, hang out in some lounge chairs, etc.
Parking around 1110am was empty but when I left at 1230pm, people were waiting to find parking, so as usual, get here before lunchtime 12pm“

“The restaurant is small but homey. Love the Nanjing duck, duck blood vermicelli soup and Xian Saozi noodle. The Xian Saozi noodle is super spicy so be careful. The waitor was so nice that he re-cooked it to be mild spicy. It tastes so yummy! I would definitely come again.“

Cons: honestly baozi is very worth buying, other products they are delicious like noodles, but a little bit expensive comparing to the amount they provide.“

“Pretty great rolls here at KAI Japanese Restaurant. Had their chicken bento as well which was fine, a bit better then some places honestly but their scallop roll was fantastic.
Pricing wise their about what you expect for a Japanese restaurant in the area so worth a try for sure.“

“A pretty solid pho restaurant in the area. The building is pretty unique, that's all on its own area in a plaza and it looks like a lot prettier prior to a renovation of some kind. It looks that they deleted off some of the walls and redid some of the seating and the colors of a little more muted too. At least there's a gumball machine. Speaking of which, they have an extensive menu with a lot of pho and rice dishes and even some sandwiches and even milk tea! I had to shaken beef and it came with some french fries that were crinkle cut and was not too bad! It was a little chewy even with the meat but it's okay, at least the onions and bell peppers wernt raw or anything else. I absolutely love their spring rolls! It's got the normal feelings like the noodles and the bean sprouts and the shrimp and chicken, but they also put a Chinese donut stick inside too! That made it a little crunchy and I really liked that! The price was also pretty good for the quantity that you received, which wasn't the same that I could say the same for every other dish here at $6. The shaken beef was $17... They also had a milk tea for $6. All of this was pretty easy to order and because there wasn't a lot of people today on a weekday service was really fast and easy. Payment is also easy too as you get up from your table to pay as well as obtain any takeout boxes as needed.“

“Dough Zone Dumpling House is a good, modern dumpling place that leans a bit “nicer” compared to your typical dumpling house.
The food is yummy across the board. The xiao long bao come out neat and uniform, with a clean presentation and great flavor.
The noodle dish is simple and satisfying, with a nice texture.
The beef noodle soup has a deep, rich broth.
Even the greens are done well.
Service is friendly and attentive, and a good experience from start to finish. The place itself is clean and modern, with a slightly polished feel.
It is a bit on the pricey side for what you get, especially compared to more traditional spots, but the overall experience helps justify it.
A good place when you want dependable dumplings in a comfortable setting.“

“Best value and banh canh in san jose. Those of you who aren’t familiar with this dish, it is a a udon noodle Vietnamese soup. It’s a thicker broth than pho and comes with different meat options , like seafood, pork bones, pork blood etc. I love it with fried fish and pork. I’m salivating just thinking about this even though it’s 100 degrees out.“

“Second time coming here, and it definitely didn't disappoint! This time we ordered the Thai-style grilled chicken with lime leaves. It was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and incredibly flavorful. On our last visit, we tried the fish sauce flavor, which was just as delicious in its own unique way.
The whole chicken is a little pricey, but it's absolutely worth trying for the quality and taste. I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors!“

“A homey family-run restaurant that does a solid Hu Tieu Mi Trieu Chau. Definitely get it dry with broth on the side if it’s your first time.
They are generous with meats, fried shallots, and crispy pork fat. Chinese donut can be a bit more crispy, but take leftovers home and airfry them! Please come support them - they’re making great food here.“

“Fugetsu is a world wide chain of okonomiyaki. In fact, Rokko/Fugetsu has the first location of Fugetsu in the whole US.
Always a good vibe here and possibly the only place to get okonomiyaki in the Bay Area like they do it in Japan. Huge menu and drink selection with the shared Rokko and Fugetsu menu. I like the okonomiyaki sampler a ton as well. Portions are huge for this dish and everything else on the menu.“

“So glad they’re open early. It’s a perfect spot for a comforting bowl of pho to start the day. The broth is rich and flavorful; you don’t need to add a thing. I also love the complimentary tea and the full set of condiments — even culantro, which is such a nice touch. Simple, delicious, and done right!“

I definitely will come back and try something else.“

“This place is a gem. Get the #5 with soup separate. There are very few places left that do the quality this place does. Their wontons are handmade. The chashu tastes great and their bone broth soup is on point. The noodles are perfectly done - never overcooked. Its the kind of food you need when you need comfort.“

“I asked to have some veggies added my Wonton Egg Noodle Soup pick-up order. I received an extra container with cabbage, broccoli, bok choy, and carrots. I added Hoison and Chili Paste sauces to flavor and it was delicious! The vegetables cost an additional $3.85 making it seem expensive. But the generous portion size allows me to get two meals. I'll do this again!“

“A Canadian company I've been contracting with on a big event in Sunnyvale the past 2 years has held a dinner for all the employees and contractors at XLB Kitchen on one of our last nights together. We reserve the entire outdoor patio seating for our party and are treated to the most wonderful family-style meal! I learned last year to pace myself when they start bringing out the first couple of courses as the portions are huge and you'll want to try everything! Service is top notch, too!
My favorite dish is the marinated pork. OMG! Absolutely the best pork I have eaten in my life at any restaurant or cooked at home! Incredibly tender. Incredibly tasty. If you eat pork, you HAVE to try it!“
