“the older lady is extremely rude. we were looking at the menu and told her we needed more time to order. and as she was walking away she said “oh my god. what are you reading? a bible?”. shes rude every time we come in, no manners and always slamming stuff on the table. dont get a job in customer service if you have an attitude 24/7.

“My daughter took me and the hubby here for our Thanksgiving celebration since she couldn't come home (Sac) for actual Thanksgiving, we went to her. This was a night I won't soon forget! Having a nice meal with our daughter was a treat, the service was amazing and the food....OMG! Every bite of every dish I tasted was so so delicious! “Amazing vegetarian Chinese food. The fried “chicken” was close to normal chicken for me. Mapo tofu also slapped and the fried rice was hearty and delicious. Staff were really helpful and kind as well. The soup was very peppery, so just be read for that. Highly recommend it :)“

We we rather disappointed recently when we called to make reservations for 4 for lunch on 2/25/2022 and were informed they only take reservations for 5 or more. Is this true ? If so they should so state on their web site.“

“The restaurant itself is not in the best location, and the interior and bathroom isn't the best. But we went in and were welcomed so warmly for dinner when the place wasn't busy. We got the chicken biryani, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. The biryani is one of the best I have ever had in the US and the garlic naan was perfect and fluffy but crispy. The chicken tikka masala was creamy, not overcooked, and well seasoned. The best Indian restaurant we went to in East Bay. Would come again.“

“Love that half the menu is vegan, what a treat to have so much choice! I had the vegan tantan which was listed as a spicy dish so I was concerned that it'd be too hot but it was perfect, a little kick but nothing you can't handle if you have a low spice tolerance like me. It was delicious, creamy and SO filling. Highly recommended! They have a virtual queuing system where you put your name and number down and it texts you when your table is ready. You can watch where you are in the 'queue'. The wait was approx. 45 mins so we grabbed a drink elsewhere in the meantime, very efficient!“

“I have to share a post from my favorite restaurant the FOB kitchen in Oakland. Chef Janice’s dishes are incredible. Being a queer person it is great to have a fantastic place to dine and feel safe and excepted. If you are in Oakland you have to try it. My favorite is the adobo and halo halo.“

“Great local brewery with spectacular beer. Loved the tasting, the history lesson about the brewery and learning more about the craft. The New Oakland Glow (Pilsner) and the Sleeping Car Giants (Baltic Porter) are our favorites. For now ….“

The Beef Ziggni was spicy, but nuanced, and the tangy injera served to compliment it perfect. Solid portion for the price as well.

Come in here, you won’t regret it! The honey wine was an added bonus as well.“

“We ordered the rose tteokbokki, soy garlic chicken, and seollangtang. It was SO GOOD!!!!! The soy chicken came out really hot but after it cooled down, the sauce was incredible. The seolltangtang was super fresh and clean, very light. The rose tteokbokki took the cake and the portion size is HUGE! Overall an amazing experience, will be back!“

“Amazing food.
Wife and I got the Meat+Veggie for 2 and both loved it. Injera is really good. Wife’s not a huge meat person and liked all three. I hate beets and managed to eat most of these (that’s a positive sign). Veggie dishes were fantastic.
The only criticism I have is getting three Injera for the two person combo. We ran out (while also eating the food mat) and it seems like a fourth would be nice so each gets two.

Will be back a lot! 🙏

Kept it 5 stars because I still got enough food, plenty of injera for me, and I like their food. I will double check my to-go orders…

“😀First visit here after years of walking past it. The veggie combo and meat combo platters were among the best I've had at Berkeley and Oakland's many great Ethiopian restaurants. Service was very fast and friendly and outdoor back-patio was peaceful. I will be back soon and often.“
