Service though is kind of non-existent so they don't really come by to ask if you have questions or issues, water for the table can be hard to come by. We also ordered the fish dumplings but were served shrimp dumplings and it was difficult to correct. Still wouldn't hesitate to come back or order catering from here.“

You are greeted warmly upon arrival; the space is neither large nor tiny. It is an open-concept restaurant (you can see the kitchen), and the place is bright and clean.

You order via a QR code, and the food arrives at your table quickly.

The portions are neither too big nor too small; I find them just right—whether you're really hungry or want to take some leftovers home for later.

I will definitely be back to try more of the menu (honestly, everything looks spectacular).“

“Came here for a casual date night on a Friday. Place was pretty empty for a Friday which meant we got seated right away, and staff was friendly throughout. Portions run small so plan to order more than you think you need. Still a great value. For the food itself:

The Dan Dan noodles are the move. Oily, salty, spicy, and the Sichuan peppercorns actually numb your face and stick around. Makes sense they're the most popular thing on the menu.

Chicken xiao long bao were good but the broth inside was weak compared to other places I've had them. Still good though.

Chicken potstickers were well executed, good crisp on the bottom, but nothing standout about them.

Sweet and sour cucumber was a solid starter and looked nice, but the slices were too thick to actually be able to rip out.

The egg fried rice is really good. Oilier than most but that's exactly why it works.“

“The food was absolutely delicious—we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back to try more. Everything tasted great. The only small suggestion would be to add a napkin dispenser on the tables, which would make the experience even better.“

“Came on a Sunday around 7pm and there was still a line but we were seated within 15 mins so not terrible. They use QR scanning on the table but the servers do come around to check if you have questions. We ended up seated outside, which wasn't bad since it was a bit warm that day.

We ordered the regular soup dumplings (XLB), the pan fried ones, (SZB), the egg and Chive pancake, and the green onion noodles (recommended by the server). Both baos were excellent and we ended up ordering seconds of both of those. The chive pancakes were pretty good and the noodles were tasty as well but we felt that for the price, it wasn't worth it.

We'll likely be back again but stick to the baos.“

Each dumpling was a velvet treasure, each noodle wrought with heavenly craft. The goodly attendants served with grace and merry spirit, whilst the tea flowed as though from paradise itself. “They have a total of seven different kinds of gluten free dumplings (four with meat or seafood, and three vegetarian ones). Having so many gluten free dumpling options is almost unheard of. We ordered all of them and were very impressed. Tasty, generous portions and clean feeling because of the water-based cooking.“

“We have not been here in many years. What a pleasant surprise they still deliver the same great quality food and service. And now, they have outside seating too. They still have the traditional carts roaming around the dining room with delicious choices. We liked that the classic dimsum fare was still being served and they do not scrimp on portions, unlike many dimsum places in Millbrae and Daly City. The shu mai was juicy and large, as were the shiu bao. The tofu skin wrap had a lot of filling instead of several layers of tofu skin. The ham suy ko was plump and crisp on the outside but chewing on the inside with a good amount of filling. We came for a late lunch but they were still full. Their service was friendly but brisk and efficient. The place was clean and pleasant. We will be back!“

“Because my parents owned a Chinese restaurant and i used to work there when I was young, I can recognize good Chinese food. The New Kirin under new ownership is my wife and my new go to for Chinese food. The new owner, Fanny, is very helpful and friendly. The food, especially the beef dishes, is excellent. The beef is usually cooked to the Chinese standard, which is medium, is tender and flavorful. My wife also loved her tofu dishes. The prices are average but the portions are generous. There is usually no wait for a table.

I highly recommend Kirin for a casual, relaxing night out.“

“Used this place to cater a party. We ordered 30-40 of 6 different things and ALL was a hit. The shrimp and chive pan friend dumping was what won my heart. Everyone asked me where the dim sum was from. Atmosphere is your traditional Chinese mom and pop shops which I always find comforting and thats when you know the food is good! Pricing was fair compared to the raising prices eerywhere else.“

“We just finished a delightful belated Father’s Day lunch here. Our server, Daniel, was extremely thoughtful. We had our two little kids with us and (without any prompting) he let us know which items we were ordering could be adjusted to have spices or sauces on the side to make sure we could share with the kids. He also gave us timing estimates for the various dishes we ordered. This is only our second visit to Dumpling Time, but the food was yummy and we felt well taken care of, so we’ll be back.“

The food is still great, been going here since they opened. The prices in the last few months have jumped drastically, and its $15 for a combo box, I remember when it was $8.
I still remember that you could also sit and eat inside before Covid.
The portions of the dim sum, are huge, and packed full with shrimp, pork or whatever you choose.

“We had a dinner at the restaurant to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ping Pong Diplomacy. Dynasty Seafood is an amazing top shelf experience. Elegant surroundings, gourmet chinese food, great service. Some of my favorite dishes: cold platter with roast pork, char siu and jellyfish, abalone with bok choy, succulent smoked duck, and lobster noodles. “It was a small place where it is understaffed. The atmosphere was fair typical family owned Chinese restaurant. The food was quite good to my surprise. The dim sum was hot and above average the price was extremely reasonable. It was our first time there. We spent $45 per couple including tips of 20% for the value is the best I’ve seen in the South Bay and the food was definitely better than many other dim sum restaurants.“

The food is similarly priced to koi palace but slightly better quality. Dim sum carts aren't pushed around the old fashion way. You order from a menu so each item comes out piping hot which adds to its quality. Can't say I had a single dish that didn't taste hot and fresh. “This is our go to Dim Sum spot, locally. It always great food. Sometimes the servers pass us by, but there’s these two ladies that ALWAYS come to our table. They get us what we want to eat. So, we’ll keep coming back!“
