Service: the staff is always friendly and attentive, took out allergy concern very seriously and double checked everything with the chefs. Food: the quality is consistent, the ramen portions are generous, and I appreciate the sushi rolls all have distinct flavors. I personally love the takoyaki which have come out fresh and piping hot every time. Atmosphere: anime posters on the walls, very tidy table and chairs layout, lighting that isnt too bright or too dim. The bathrooms are also very clean.”

“My best friend and I have been dying to try Fufu and Egusi because it’s been all over TikTok and when I stumble upon this place and read all the reviews we knew we had to try it ! We’ve have similar food before like Brown Stew Chicken but not from this place ! We ordered the Fufu and Egusi, Brown Stew Chicken with Jollof Rice, Cabbage, and we were lucky enough to try their Mac & Cheese (which was also raved about), and I ordered their Okra Soup with Fufu & their raspberry leaf tea ! For starters I usually never finish my drink before my food comes but this raspberry leaf tea WAS SO DELICIOUS AND REFRESHING ! I ended up getting another one before leaving. The Fufu and Egusi, Okra Soup, Brow stew chicken, Mac & Cheese, and Jollof rice DID NOT DISAPPOINT! My best friend and I love FLAVOR and their food was not short of it ! The owners were amazing and even offered to let us have a sample before ordering but we just went ahead and ordered an I’m glad we did. Like I said we’ve had brown stew chicken from other places but this chicken was so delicious and the Jollof rice had such a perfect amount of heat that went so well with the chicken and Mac & Cheese. We’ve never had fufu, Egusi, or okra soup before but let me tell you it by far exceeded our expectations. Like I said we’ve been seeing it all over TikTok and we were hoping it wasn’t just a “trend”. THEIR FOOD DESERVES ALL THE HYPE. The owners, the food, and the tea was all amazing and we will definitely be back! This place a the owners deserve all the credit for their hard work and delicious food ! You can really tell they love what they do and it for sure shows in their food !”

“Ford's garage fries, crispy yet soft on the inside. Flaky and peppery with a perfect balance of salt to compliment it. Hard to get on point fries, however these people accomplished it. The burger is larger than you would expect from a visual standpoint. It has fresh ingredients. I had the bison instead of the standard beef. It's freshly ground instead of ground beef. So as opposed to the patties being frozen coming in it's slabs of meat that they grind and then cook. The medium well option that I went with I recommend highly. They seared it on the outside and cooked at medium on the inside. The char has good flavor to it and the barbecue sauce has a very nice marriage with the cheddar cheese and the applewood smoked bacon. The romaine lettuce adds a nice touch on the bottom of the burger instead of the top. It's overall a very hard Burger to beat by any other restaurant. I very strongly recommend Ford's garage to any nostalgic burger lover.”

The food was excellent from start to finish. The bacon was cooked perfectly—crispy without being overdone—and everything on my plate was hot, fresh, and very flavorful. It’s easy to see why Waffle House has such a loyal following.
The real standout, though, was my server, Kinzey. She was absolutely spot on. Friendly, attentive, kept my drink filled, checked on me at the right times, and provided some of the best service I’ve received anywhere in quite a while. She made the entire experience enjoyable.
One thing that also surprised me was how comfortable the booths were. They actually had built-in lumbar support, which was a welcome surprise for someone with back issues. It’s a small detail, but it made a noticeable difference in comfort.
The restaurant was clean, the staff worked well together, the food came out quickly, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
I’ll definitely make this Waffle House a stop anytime I’m back in Gainesville. Great food, outstanding service from Kinzey, and a genuinely enjoyable breakfast.”

Unfortunately we couldn’t sit inside because of a dog and outside is too hot and has some construction work going on nearby so it wasn’t very pleasant but that’s not the place’s fault. The decor inside is so charming and lovely, with tons of pirate-themed trinkets decorating every wall. If you have kids, they will love the little shelf in the corner with picture books and toys!
The food is INCREDIBLE! The menu features lots of dishes that you can’t get anywhere else in Gainesville, like Kazakh borsch, Ukrainian pirogies, Siberian pelmeni, Polish and German sausages, Turkish pakhlava, Baltic sardines sandwiches, as well as shawarma and an AMAZING honey cake! The hummus is phenomenal and both tastes great and is also plated beautifully.
The service is also great; small family-owned business and everyone is so friendly, warm and welcoming. We were a group of 4 and one of the owners told us that she was impressed with our appetites!
We went around lunchtime (1PM) on a Sunday and did not have to wait to get seated and the wait time for the food was also not bad at all.
Can confirm that the Kazakh borsch, beef/chicken shawarma, hummus and honey cake are all delicious. We also tried their blackberry lemonade and mango aloe vera drinks!”

We were quickly seated and our server had great energy that really helped set the tone for a fun night. We started with a chicken quesadilla which was delicious and packed with huge chicken chunks. For my meal I ordered the eat and play combo wings and they were terrific. They were crispy underneath and the sauce was sweet and very flavorful. We also enjoyed happy hour beer, although I did not realize it was domestic beer only so my Modelo did not qualify, which was a small surprise. We did an hour of free game play and there was a really good variety of games, especially for a group of three. The game room had a large selection and everything felt well maintained. All of the staff we interacted with were pleasant and friendly. Overall we were really impressed with how much they offer, including catering and large event options. We will definitely be back again.”

The three ladies across from us having her girls night out made the whole evening very special. Unfortunately, the old man next to my daughter was negative about everything. We order Spring rolls as an appetizer, and they arrived piping hot and full of fresh goodness with. Great dipping sauce. My husband ordered a combo noodle bowl with beef, chicken and pork which was full of flavor and tender meats and vegetables. I ordered the special, Short Rib Bun Bo Hue, and I’m glad I did! Best I’ve ever had! A large, tender short rib was situated on top with an extra plate to cut it off the bone and add back to the soup, a rich lemongrass, lightly spiced broth with soft noodles and a plate of fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, a lime wedge and jalapeño slices to add for extra flavor. I was in heaven!🤗. We met the beautiful TiTi and her handsome hubby, owners, while enjoying our meal and learned their family has had this restaurant for over 30 years! The area Not Your Mammy's is centrally located, has little to no prepared dining options, after speaking with one of the team members, she explained, "This is one of the reasons, I wanted to create a space for our community". She and her family decided to operate the NYM food truck during the weekend, to give people a space to come get some great food, and I big smile to help elevate their vibe. The waitresses were very attentive and kept everything running smoothly. I also thought their “over-eat/waste food” policy was hilarious and honestly reasonable. If people are wasting food when others are starving in the world… yeah, I get it! The ladies’ room was very clean and even had toilet seat covers (a big win for me!), but C said the men’s room was a bit on the gross side, so hopefully that gets some extra attention soon. One thing to note: they don’t serve alcohol, and they only carry Pepsi products—so just a heads-up if you have a drink preference. Overall, we had a great experience. We especially loved the noodles and chicken fingers, and we’ll definitely be returning!”
