The Spicy Pomodoro Pasta may be the singularly most delicious pasta dish on earth. The lamb meatballs… to die for. The grilled octopus, OMG. Pasta will never be the same for you. The beet spaghetti? Just ask Luca… it becomes part of you. Highly recommended.”
“We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was crowded but not too noisy, everyone was enjoying themselves. The server was amazing and offered menu suggestions. I forgot the name of our appetizer but it was delicious! I danced at the table the whole meal because I enjoyed every part of it. Definitely lived up to expectations and I'd be back.”

Ordered 4 dishes between 2 of us and must say that our favorite was the goat liver mousse. The crumpets that accompany the mousse were the star!Parking: Parking is along the street around the restaurant. May be difficult to find parking if coming during peak dinner hours. Some streets may be dark so be wary of surroundings.”

“The food is amazing and it's pretty self explanatory "hotbox", the food seems to never get cold. They have a variety of options as well and give big servings, especially their fries. Their cheese fries are super nice melted and gooey just be careful because they are really hot, they literally stayed hot even after I finished my burger. The burgers are also pretty good and stay warm for a good while. If your in the area I recommend you try this place. The only bad part is that there is no dine in, but that's ok because your food will literally still be warm by the time you get home.”
“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06”

“Wow! My son and I ate here for a very special dinner. The ambiance was cozy & finely understated, dimly lit along the neckline of diners to create elegant, artful hyyge -- top to bottom. Our waiter was a poised, warm, & knowledgeable gentleman, educating us and engaging generously with my son -- his commentary and conjecture with easeful comfort and charm. Each member of the staff we got to talk to was equally thoughtful and welcoming, making the meal all the more precious because of these extremely heart-felt connections. The food was artful & delicious, obvi. Overall exquisite. Thank you, Team Providence!!!!!”

“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.”

“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.”

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

I indulged in this salt-upon-sea once entering their one (1) lavatory. This legal and easily accessible substance enhanced my dining experience tenfold. It should be offered at the table, and is my only complaint with the experience. I should not rely on local pathfinders to expand my experience.Vegetarian options: No.Kid-friendliness: The kids were very friendly ! They thoroughly enjoyed my salt-upon-sea.”
“Hands down the best breakfast biscuits I've had. I stop here every single time I'm in l.a. I finally tried something new and ordered the ADB Loco Motto, and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and good. Get there early because it's a neighborhood favorite and fills up fast. The space is cozy, and parking is very limited.Parking: I only saw metered street parking, and there weren't a lot of spots available. You may have to park down the street and walk down to the restaurant.”

“Yummy tacos! We had the lomo saltado, carnitas and fish tacos and all were Good! We also had the potato and cheese taquitos and the cara cara Olive oil cake. The Olive oil cake was warm and moist on the inside and was crunchy and crisp on the outside. Went well with the orange sherbet that came with it!”

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.”

“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.”

“Went on a Sunday for brunch and there was a hefty wait around ~1-1.5hrs, which was completely expected for the area. We were fine with waiting as there's a lot of neat shops to explore and farmersmarket in the area. We ordered the breakfast burrito, spicy chicken sandwich, ceviche, and pepperoni pizza. The ceviche comes with homemade huge taro root chips - which was a nice touch! Everything was delicious but the chicken sandwich was really wet - to the point of needing to eat with a fork and knife. I personally would not order it again as it felt a bit too soupy for me but overall everything was tasty. Service was great and friendly. We sat outside as we had our husky with us - the place was very dog friendly outside.”

“Hidden away in the city of Los Angeles is this amazing bar that serves one of the tastiest omakase. Entering the bar, you see a bar top that seats approx 10-12 people, with a open kitchen vibe. My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). “When there a week after Valentine's Day. The location is right under the Chinatown metro station which was kind of cool. They have a parking lot but street parking was plentiful. They sat us by the bar and the server station and we could hear the food expediter apologizing for being late and the owner being super chill about it. Without missing a bit, he went right up to the pass and got to work. The food was awesome with one exception - the Escargot was too herby and not garlicky enough for my taste. They had a very good wine list, the service was super friendly and the owner chatted us up. We will be back.”

“Canter’s Deli is an LA classic and a must visit for anyone who loves that old school deli feel. All the staples are on the menu and the old timey look of the inside rounds out the experience. Food is very solid if not a bit overpriced. Bakery is by weight for a lot of items so expect to pay more than you think. Parking is free in the lot next to the building if you are eating. Service isn’t the best on most of our visits, but the people watching makes up for it!”

It can get crowded, very crowded, and I don't know if they take reservations so call them or go during off hours. They are open for lunch and dinner. Parking is on the street or their small lot. Look for a place on the street, but mind the signs. It is cute outside, and inside is always decorated with something. It is not beautiful, it is adorable with comfortable booths and tables. They have a full bar and their tortillas are always hand made for you. They are the best. Get them. Put butter on them. Eat them. The service is great. They are fast and at the same time super friendly and kind. They speak both English and Spanish. It is the best way to celebrate something. We came for our grandson's Birthday and they gave him flan and the women sang Happy Birthday to him. He loved it. He picked out this place for his Birthday dinner. He was treated so great by everyone. But he always is. This is just a super nice place to go to and relax. They also have a TV, but I never watch it, I assume it is sports. The food is great, all of it. We had chips and guacamole which was so good. We then ordered a combination plate with rice and beans (YUM) and chicken and cheese enchiladas. We also had their great soft beef tacos and a salad and the best Tostada. It is a full meal, my daughter had to take some home. We had flan and great virgin drinks. You will love this place. It is a must stop in Los Angeles.”

They had a local distribution at some Costos but it might now have gone well because I haven't seen the cookies there again. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!”

“The initial attraction to this restaurant was simple. A Michelin star, and there's a cheeseburger on the menu?!? Sign me up. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was modern, minimal, and comfortable. We were greeted with a delicious amuse bouche of creme fraiche and green onion with some sort of crunchy vessel holding it together. Then we moved onto the baguette, which, while delicious, I would probably pass on my next visit. Then came the onion tartine, which, in my opinion, was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly blistered gruyere cheese over caramelized onions and delicious fresh bread drizzled with a duck fat reduction tableside. Think of it as a perfectly executed inverted French onion soup. Then came the burger. Upon arrival, it was announced as a 50/50 blend of ribeye and duck, smoked gouda, and caramelized onions on an incredible brioche bun. I've had a lot of burgers, and none of them even came close to this one. Perfectly cooked, lovely char, and incredible flavor. We ordered the Madeira mushroom risotto as a side dish, and that was delicious as well. Every course was perfectly spaced out, and the wait staff never missed a beat. The overall experience was faultless, and I can't wait for another special occasion to return.”

We ordered three cuts of steak for our party of five to share: 2.5 lbs of ribeye cap, a New York strip and a skirt steak. All cooked and seasoned perfectly. I am so sorry I missed out on what could have been so many great memories coming here as a teenager. I generally don't eat inside restaurants, and there aren't a whole lot of diners that I've had experiences in at all, but this place immediately made me feel like I had been coming for years. I went with my cousin and his girlfriend (regulars) and we had a great dining experience. I thought that this was the diner from "Pulp Fiction, but it's not. The pancakes are the best in L.A County. I didn't have the chicken and waffles, but I will next time. The staff are friendly, and the customers always come off as nice and happy to be here. Pann's is now my first/last stop on my way from/to the airport.”

“A very pretty friend and I decided to try Bestia on a Thursday at 5pm. After arriving and entering an outdoor patio that leads into the indoor seating, we couldn't help notice the bright blue wall, nicely trimmed tree, outdoor string lights all coming together to make a quiet eating experience but my pretty woman friend wanted us to experience the inside. Inside was livelier, more people, closely positioned tables,and an open kitchen facing the eating area. Cool modern music that's not too loud. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the coconut red chili oil scallops garnished with herbs and a slice of strawberry. I was pleased with the combination of flavors. Then we shared the bone marrow pasta, which was packed with savory flavors and interesting soft textures. It was delicious. Of course, we had to try the herb ceasar salad everyone raves about when talking about Bestia, and the hype is all true. We then shared a marguarita pizza and let me say this, despite the overly salted tomato sauce, the napolitano style crust elevated the rest of the pizza ingredients. I had old sunglasses: a tequila blanco cocktail with sweet citrus flavors all well balanced, I couldn't just have 1. My pretty friend had unsweetened ice tea, which was refreshing with a subtle fruit flavor. For dessert, we shared the chocolate dessert with a crispy sweet and salty crust that complimented the rich thick chocolate mouse that was just the right amount of sweet. It's the kind of place you take an attractive friend you really, really like. Recommend you plan at least a couple of weeks ahead to get a table because this place has a big following.”

“We had a reservation on 4/27/2024 at 10:30pm. We had to wait for the hostess for about 5 minutes. As soon as the hostess came out, we were seated immediately. The server was great and had a positive attitude during the entire service. We were celebrating a birthday and the entire staff made it special. It was amazing! They had a photographer who was taking pictures of us and towards the end of the dinner, she had printed them out and sold them for only $20. It was a great experience! I will definitely come back!”

“First of all, the multilevel dining room is beautiful, with a stunning giant Bodhisattva statue dominating one end of the room. Very dramatic and the stairs from the lounge down to the main dining level allow for well dressed ladies to make a regal entrance. The food is excellent also. Prices are high, not surprising. Extensive cocktail menu is delicious. We enjoyed Lychee martinis. Service was quick, efficient, and courteous. The place does get loud and be prepared for shouts of “Sake!!!” This is a great place for special occasions or parties but if you need quiet you may wish to reserve one of their private rooms.”

“Make sure to never ask for help on the 70th floor because the concierge (two women) were the worst type of help I have ever had to experience. They made fun of me and my son when we asked how to get to the 73rd floor. One of them told me it's not that hard, ma'am, . if they wanted to be helpful, they would walk you to where you need to go. I was waiting for my boyfriend, and one of them continually repeated that I needed to go down the stairs when I had already gotten the directions from her the first five times. She kept laughing with the other attendant because she thought I did not understand directions. The only people that were super sweet were the people on the 73rd floor. Overall, the experience was amazing at the bar and the food was incredible.”

“Happy to see a new business open up in this strip mall. Don't let the sketchy pharmacy next door scare you off. Food is fantastically fresh. Grab a ticket, check off what you want and place your ticket in the rack next to the register. Recommend half/half of soba and salad. We've tried pretty much all the ingredients/toppings in our three visits so far and all have been extremely fresh, including all the proteins. Garlic wasabi or spicy mayo sauce are great. Tempura flakes add texture to your bowl. Handrolls are their secret weapon. Affordable and generous, we really like the soft shelled crab handroll but they are all good. So what's not to like? The boba is mediocre, passable for convenience but you're not coming here for boba. The interior has been overhauled from when it was a pizza place. It's now modern and clean with a little bit of seating, we get our orders to go. Plenty of parking as it's in the same lot as Fresco's market. If you are coming here swing by the donut place where both the owner and her donuts are local legends now.”
