“Go. Just go. I’ve gone twice with my husband and we’ve ordered multiple, different dishes each time, and nothing disappoints. This unassuming spot isn’t your regular Thai. No need to go all the way to Thai Town, Mid City folks!! Try a dish you’ve never heard of. It won’t disappoint!I’ll add photos later but for now just know that you have to go.”

“I liked the food although it was a little unseasoned. At least it was halal. My main issue is they definitely have a bathroom but don't let customers use it. Pretty messed up as it is Mexican food.”

“I'm originally from Barcelona (nearby), and I have to say that Telefèric Barcelona (Los Angeles) made me feel like home. Their rice dish was very close to my parent's. Even the type of rice was unique to the dish. Additionally, the staff was extremely professional and some spoke Catalan, which made me feel even more close to home. Their Bravas and Pa amb tomata were excellent appetizers. Pair your meal with a "Catalan Gin and Tonic" and your experience will be out of this world!The vegan options were very good (vegetable paella/rice).”

“The food is amazing and it's pretty self explanatory "hotbox", the food seems to never get cold. They have a variety of options as well and give big servings, especially their fries. Their cheese fries are super nice melted and gooey just be careful because they are really hot, they literally stayed hot even after I finished my burger. The burgers are also pretty good and stay warm for a good while. If your in the area I recommend you try this place. The only bad part is that there is no dine in, but that's ok because your food will literally still be warm by the time you get home.”

“We ordered the hippo bread, cauliflower, ravioli with clams and the hangar steak. All so delicious! The hippo bread is soft and sweet with that butter. The cauliflower is shareable and so good! The ravioli was fine and the hangar steak was slightly sweet and tender. Our waiter, Alejandro, was so attentive and answered all of our questions. He was fabulous! The kitchen is open so you can look and see which is always fun! Love the music, too! We walked past the restaurant but then I remembered it was by the pizza place so we circled back and found it. Can't wait to return!”

“Wanted to try something new so we decided to stop by and it exceeded our expectations! We got the Patita, Sisig, garlic rice, and lumpia. The patita was extremely crispy on the outside while the inside was very soft and fell off the bone! The sauce was amazing and the garlic rice went well with the dish! The sisig was soft and flavorful but had a bit more of a soy sauce taste to it which was not something I was used to with regular sisig, but still great ! Lumpia was crispy and loved eating it with the sweet and sour sauce!”

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

“I was offered an all-expenses paid trip to the "Clark Street Diner" (克拉克街餐厅) on Franklin Avenue. During this All-American™ escapade, I was slyly offered a small bag, containing salt-upon-sea, by a dishevelled, camoflauged Hollywoodian native whilst engourging of the delicacies delivered by this All-American™ "Clark Street Diner" (克拉克街餐厅). I indulged in this salt-upon-sea once entering their one (1) lavatory. This legal and easily accessible substance enhanced my dining experience tenfold. It should be offered at the table, and is my only complaint with the experience. I should not rely on local pathfinders to expand my experience.Vegetarian options: No.Kid-friendliness: The kids were very friendly ! They thoroughly enjoyed my salt-upon-sea.”

“This place is interesting. Upon arriving we were told they wouldn’t seat us until our whole party was there which was interesting because there was no wait otherwise (we were missing 1/3 people. I got a cold brew with a little oatmilk and vanilla and it was solid. I ordered the chicken biscuit and had asked if I could add American cheese to it because I saw their other biscuit had it but was told that they couldn’t give me a (1) slice of cheese because it’s reserved for another dish on the menu….. (the other biscuit) so the waiter suggested preserves which I went with and it was most of the flavor for the chicken biscuit. The chicken was nice and crunchy, the biscuit itself was warm and soft but ultimately dry without any sauce. I loved the Filipino inspired dishes on their menu. My wife had the breakfast burrito with longanisa in it and she loved it”

“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06”

“Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. Thanks Bo❤️ I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic, excellent and delicious food. In addition, the place is so full of life. The decor is amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the fancy drinks and dishes on the menu.”

“This is a 5+++, as you would be hard-pressed to find a more creative, flavorful and truly life-changing pasta meal than at Cento. The Spicy Pomodoro Pasta may be the singularly most delicious pasta dish on earth. The lamb meatballs… to die for. The grilled octopus, OMG. Pasta will never be the same for you. The beet spaghetti? Just ask Luca… it becomes part of you. Highly recommended.”

“Yummy tacos! We had the lomo saltado, carnitas and fish tacos and all were Good! We also had the potato and cheese taquitos and the cara cara Olive oil cake. The Olive oil cake was warm and moist on the inside and was crunchy and crisp on the outside. Went well with the orange sherbet that came with it!”

I came here solely for the noodles made in collaboration with Keizo Shimamoto from Shimamoto Noodle Inc. They are really the star of the bowl. The tonkotsu gyokai broth was alright, but overall, this was one of the better tsukemen you can find in Socal imo.The Smoked Dashi Ramen, on the other hand, was quite weird. It starts off fine but the longer you take to eat it, the fishier the broth will get so get ready to slurp fast ?”

“We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was crowded but not too noisy, everyone was enjoying themselves. The server was amazing and offered menu suggestions. I forgot the name of our appetizer but it was delicious! I danced at the table the whole meal because I enjoyed every part of it. Definitely lived up to expectations and I'd be back.”

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.”

Some streets may be dark so be wary of surroundings.”

Grab a weekend brunch, go for dinner or just for a rooftop bar lounge and and drink. (Unlike some other roof top bars/restaurants in LA, this one has zero attitude - from either the staff and crowd. “Hidden away in the city of Los Angeles is this amazing bar that serves one of the tastiest omakase. Entering the bar, you see a bar top that seats approx 10-12 people, with a open kitchen vibe. My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). The first time I tasted this sauce, I was delighted by the flavor and the fact that it is great with or without pasta. We have tried it with different types of pasta and the sauce maintains its wonderful flavor. (Yes, we have had more than one jar of it! LOL) If you do not try it at least once, you will miss out!!!”

“When there a week after Valentine's Day. The location is right under the Chinatown metro station which was kind of cool. They have a parking lot but street parking was plentiful. They sat us by the bar and the server station and we could hear the food expediter apologizing for being late and the owner being super chill about it. Without missing a bit, he went right up to the pass and got to work. The food was awesome with one exception - the Escargot was too herby and not garlicky enough for my taste. They had a very good wine list, the service was super friendly and the owner chatted us up. We will be back.”

“Canter’s Deli is an LA classic and a must visit for anyone who loves that old school deli feel. All the staples are on the menu and the old timey look of the inside rounds out the experience. Food is very solid if not a bit overpriced. Bakery is by weight for a lot of items so expect to pay more than you think. Parking is free in the lot next to the building if you are eating. Service isn’t the best on most of our visits, but the people watching makes up for it!”

“There are a few Paco's, but this one is the best. We have been so many times and every time it is great. It can get crowded, very crowded, and I don't know if they take reservations so call them or go during off hours. They are open for lunch and dinner. Parking is on the street or their small lot. Look for a place on the street, but mind the signs. It is cute outside, and inside is always decorated with something. It is not beautiful, it is adorable with comfortable booths and tables. They have a full bar and their tortillas are always hand made for you. They are the best. Get them. Put butter on them. Eat them. The service is great. They are fast and at the same time super friendly and kind. They speak both English and Spanish. It is the best way to celebrate something. We came for our grandson's Birthday and they gave him flan and the women sang Happy Birthday to him. He loved it. He picked out this place for his Birthday dinner. He was treated so great by everyone. But he always is. This is just a super nice place to go to and relax. They also have a TV, but I never watch it, I assume it is sports. The food is great, all of it. We had chips and guacamole which was so good. We then ordered a combination plate with rice and beans (YUM) and chicken and cheese enchiladas. We also had their great soft beef tacos and a salad and the best Tostada. It is a full meal, my daughter had to take some home. We had flan and great virgin drinks. You will love this place. It is a must stop in Los Angeles.”

“July 2019. So this is a small business and I like supporting the mom and pop shops. They had a local distribution at some Costos but it might now have gone well because I haven't seen the cookies there again. But I loved the so I hunted them down to that awkward plaza on Santa Monica Blvd and Bundy. I think the recipe is mom's and the girl running it now is the daughter with her boyfriend David. He's funny - calls himself Chief Momentum Officer. I've tried many cookies you get free samples at the store. The original choco chip is my fave. Bottom line - I like them.”

“Its a beautiful cosy place, takes you back in time. The cakes, as you can see in the video look delicious (didn't try one though).We had the lemon pancakes which were AMAZING, also the breakfast burrito which was really delicious as well and very filling. Their coffees were also flavourful and strong.Lastly, salmon with potato pancakes..which I personally didn't really like.. they had a funny taste.. quite soggy.. something about the salmon? Or the eggs? I didn't understand but unfortunately has a weird and not good taste.”

Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!”

The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was modern, minimal, and comfortable. We were greeted with a delicious amuse bouche of creme fraiche and green onion with some sort of crunchy vessel holding it together. Then we moved onto the baguette, which, while delicious, I would probably pass on my next visit. Then came the onion tartine, which, in my opinion, was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly blistered gruyere cheese over caramelized onions and delicious fresh bread drizzled with a duck fat reduction tableside. Think of it as a perfectly executed inverted French onion soup. Then came the burger. Upon arrival, it was announced as a 50/50 blend of ribeye and duck, smoked gouda, and caramelized onions on an incredible brioche bun. I've had a lot of burgers, and none of them even came close to this one. Perfectly cooked, lovely char, and incredible flavor. We ordered the Madeira mushroom risotto as a side dish, and that was delicious as well. Every course was perfectly spaced out, and the wait staff never missed a beat. The overall experience was faultless, and I can't wait for another special occasion to return.”

“This is an amazing taco place right in my neighborhood. Their two signature tacos... the steak and chicken... were phenomenal, tasty and a perfect price point. I've also tried the Birria, Al Pastor and the quesadilla. All were great! And the guac was legit. It's in their name, so it has to be good! I tried the house guac, they also have a spicy version which I'll try next time. Oh and the cold brew/horchata was very tasty! I will definitely be back!”

“Happy to see a new business open up in this strip mall. Don't let the sketchy pharmacy next door scare you off. Food is fantastically fresh. Grab a ticket, check off what you want and place your ticket in the rack next to the register. Recommend half/half of soba and salad. We've tried pretty much all the ingredients/toppings in our three visits so far and all have been extremely fresh, including all the proteins. Garlic wasabi or spicy mayo sauce are great. Tempura flakes add texture to your bowl. Handrolls are their secret weapon. Affordable and generous, we really like the soft shelled crab handroll but they are all good. So what's not to like? The boba is mediocre, passable for convenience but you're not coming here for boba. The interior has been overhauled from when it was a pizza place. It's now modern and clean with a little bit of seating, we get our orders to go. Plenty of parking as it's in the same lot as Fresco's market. If you are coming here swing by the donut place where both the owner and her donuts are local legends now.”
