“This is a 5+++, as you would be hard-pressed to find a more creative, flavorful and truly life-changing pasta meal than at Cento. The Spicy Pomodoro Pasta may be the singularly most delicious pasta dish on earth. The lamb meatballs… to die for. The grilled octopus, OMG. Pasta will never be the same for you. The beet spaghetti? Just ask Luca… it becomes part of you. Highly recommended.”

“We ordered the hippo bread, cauliflower, ravioli with clams and the hangar steak. All so delicious! The hippo bread is soft and sweet with that butter. The cauliflower is shareable and so good! The ravioli was fine and the hangar steak was slightly sweet and tender. Our waiter, Alejandro, was so attentive and answered all of our questions. He was fabulous! The kitchen is open so you can look and see which is always fun! Love the music, too! We walked past the restaurant but then I remembered it was by the pizza place so we circled back and found it. “Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. Thanks Bo❤️ I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic, excellent and delicious food. In addition, the place is so full of life. The decor is amazing! Papi Tacos & Churros 1320 Vine St, Los Angeles Mexican • $$

“I liked the food although it was a little unseasoned. At least it was halal. My main issue is they definitely have a bathroom but don't let customers use it. Pretty messed up as it is Mexican food.”

“I'm originally from Barcelona (nearby), and I have to say that Telefèric Barcelona (Los Angeles) made me feel like home. Their rice dish was very close to my parent's. Even the type of rice was unique to the dish. Additionally, the staff was extremely professional and some spoke Catalan, which made me feel even more close to home. Their Bravas and Pa amb tomata were excellent appetizers. Pair your meal with a "Catalan Gin and Tonic" and your experience will be out of this world! The vegan options were very good (vegetable paella/rice).”

HotBox Burgers 1030 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Suite #108, Los Angeles Hamburger • $

“The food is amazing and it's pretty self explanatory "hotbox", the food seems to never get cold. They have a variety of options as well and give big servings, especially their fries. Their cheese fries are super nice melted and gooey just be careful because they are really hot, they literally stayed hot even after I finished my burger. The burgers are also pretty good and stay warm for a good while. If your in the area I recommend you try this place. The only bad part is that there is no dine in, but that's ok because your food will literally still be warm by the time you get home.”

“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06”

“Wanted to try something new so we decided to stop by and it exceeded our expectations! We got the Patita, Sisig, garlic rice, and lumpia. The patita was extremely crispy on the outside while the inside was very soft and fell off the bone! The sauce was amazing and the garlic rice went well with the dish! The sisig was soft and flavorful but had a bit more of a soy sauce taste to it which was not something I was used to with regular sisig, but still great ! Lumpia was crispy and loved eating it with the sweet and sour sauce!”

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

I indulged in this salt-upon-sea once entering their one (1) lavatory. This legal and easily accessible substance enhanced my dining experience tenfold. It should be offered at the table, and is my only complaint with the experience. I should not rely on local pathfinders to expand my experience.Vegetarian options: No.Kid-friendliness: The kids were very friendly ! They thoroughly enjoyed my salt-upon-sea.”

All Day Baby 3200 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles Cocktail Bar • $$

“This place is interesting. Upon arriving we were told they wouldn’t seat us until our whole party was there which was interesting because there was no wait otherwise (we were missing 1/3 people. I got a cold brew with a little oatmilk and vanilla and it was solid. I ordered the chicken biscuit and had asked if I could add American cheese to it because I saw their other biscuit had it but was told that they couldn’t give me a (1) slice of cheese because it’s reserved for another dish on the menu….. (the other biscuit) so the waiter suggested preserves which I went with and it was most of the flavor for the chicken biscuit. The chicken was nice and crunchy, the biscuit itself was warm and soft but ultimately dry without any sauce. I loved the Filipino inspired dishes on their menu. My wife had the breakfast burrito with longanisa in it and she loved it”

“There are a few Paco's, but this one is the best. We have been so many times and every time it is great. It can get crowded, very crowded, and I don't know if they take reservations so call them or go during off hours. They are open for lunch and dinner. Parking is on the street or their small lot. Look for a place on the street, but mind the signs. It is cute outside, and inside is always decorated with something. It is not beautiful, it is adorable with comfortable booths and tables. They have a full bar and their tortillas are always hand made for you. They are the best. Get them. Put butter on them. Eat them. The service is great. They are fast and at the same time super friendly and kind. They speak both English and Spanish. It is the best way to celebrate something. We came for our grandson's Birthday and they gave him flan and the women sang Happy Birthday to him. He loved it. He picked out this place for his Birthday dinner. He was treated so great by everyone. But he always is. This is just a super nice place to go to and relax. They also have a TV, but I never watch it, I assume it is sports. The food is great, all of it. We had chips and guacamole which was so good. We then ordered a combination plate with rice and beans (YUM) and chicken and cheese enchiladas. We also had their great soft beef tacos and a salad and the best Tostada. It is a full meal, my daughter had to take some home. We had flan and great virgin drinks. You will love this place. It is a must stop in Los Angeles.”

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. “The initial attraction to this restaurant was simple. A Michelin star, and there's a cheeseburger on the menu?!? Sign me up. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was modern, minimal, and comfortable. We were greeted with a delicious amuse bouche of creme fraiche and green onion with some sort of crunchy vessel holding it together. Then we moved onto the baguette, which, while delicious, I would probably pass on my next visit. Then came the onion tartine, which, in my opinion, was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly blistered gruyere cheese over caramelized onions and delicious fresh bread drizzled with a duck fat reduction tableside. Think of it as a perfectly executed inverted French onion soup. Then came the burger. Upon arrival, it was announced as a 50/50 blend of ribeye and duck, smoked gouda, and caramelized onions on an incredible brioche bun. I've had a lot of burgers, and none of them even came close to this one. Perfectly cooked, lovely char, and incredible flavor. We ordered the Madeira mushroom risotto as a side dish, and that was delicious as well. Every course was perfectly spaced out, and the wait staff never missed a beat. The overall experience was faultless, and I can't wait for another special occasion to return.”

The cakes, as you can see in the video look delicious (didn't try one though). We had the lemon pancakes which were AMAZING, also the breakfast burrito which was really delicious as well and very filling. Their coffees were also flavourful and strong.Lastly, salmon with potato pancakes..which I personally didn't really like.. they had a funny taste.. quite soggy.. something about the salmon? Or the eggs? I didn't understand but unfortunately has a weird and not good taste.”

“Got a couple of cheese slices. Apparently New Jersey style. They were perfectly crunchy but the sauce could use some work. And while I like a good caramelized burnt crusty edge on my squares just as much as the next square lover, these actually ended up being a tad too burnt (especially in the corners) and lacked the crust synergy that can make square slices a delight to eatThe manager helped me out. He was chill and answered all my question while dropping a little knowledge in the process. It's got potential, just don't see it having the foot traffic in this area. Hopefully the ghost que has its back. It's a probably a 3.5 but I'm rounding up because I'd go back. Square pizza is still surprisingly uncommon in LA county. We got edamame to split and I opted for the red king, which had a good amount of spice. Compared to the Manila location, the portions were on the smaller side, but we still left satisfied. “This place had so many great reviews and I'm within walking distance - How could I not try it? Staff was attentive/interested in my experience of the food. Menu was definitely interesting. I was glad that one of my dishes was not too cloying by being OVER dressed, but it could have used a little more of its vinaigrette or something to tie it together a TAD more. Another dish was perfectly cheesy, a wagyu empanada of sorts. The food tasted clean, which is always better than cloying. Was it as outstanding or remarkable/memorable as everybody said in other reviews? I didn't have that experience but maybe because I wasn't having any cocktails. :-) A drink and a little buzz can always make a dining experience taste and feel even better. ? I know food prices have gone way up, and I'm a generous tipper, but it came up to almost 50 for two appetizers. I do think the appetizers were fairly portioned.”

The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you Lena!”

My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). “I was in Santa Monica yesterday morning in line to eat at another restaurant. It was already lunch time. But I wanted breakfast food. I asked the people in line if that restaurant served French Toast for breakfast. A very nice young woman with a cute dog said "go to John O'Groats" if you want a traditional French Toast Breakfast. I followed her advice and drove out to John O'Groats. I am so glad that I did. This place is a tradition diner with a lot of charm. The French Toast was great. As was the coffee. The service was good. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to this location with friends. This is a great place to have lunch or dinner. Before I drove out there, I called. I got an outgoing voice message. I left a message in which I said that I had wished that someone had answered the phone. I just wanted to know if they are still serving breakfast. When I arrived, the proprietor said to me "You called didn't you?" I answered in the affirmative. He responded "We have breakfast all day every day!" I wish I had taken down the name and contact information of the woman who recommended John O'Groats. I would have enjoyed sharing my experience with her.”

After being turned down for a home loan, I filed for my credit report to see what was on it. To my dismay there were duplications, misinformation as well as things that weren't even mine. No wonder I couldn't get the loan. A friend from work said to me that good day, my friend look out for JerryLink Credit Group on the Internet and so I did. “Happy to see a new business open up in this strip mall. Don't let the sketchy pharmacy next door scare you off. Food is fantastically fresh. Grab a ticket, check off what you want and place your ticket in the rack next to the register. Recommend half/half of soba and salad. We've tried pretty much all the ingredients/toppings in our three visits so far and all have been extremely fresh, including all the proteins. Garlic wasabi or spicy mayo sauce are great. Tempura flakes add texture to your bowl. Handrolls are their secret weapon. Affordable and generous, we really like the soft shelled crab handroll but they are all good. So what's not to like? The boba is mediocre, passable for convenience but you're not coming here for boba. The interior has been overhauled from when it was a pizza place. It's now modern and clean with a little bit of seating, we get our orders to go. Plenty of parking as it's in the same lot as Fresco's market. If you are coming here swing by the donut place where both the owner and her donuts are local legends now.”
