“As usual, the food and service were great! The only minus was the way the restaurant presented sample tastings of their wine. My wife was trying to decide which white wine to order, so she asked for a tasting of two wines. The waiter brought out the tastings in Communion cups... literally. A bit below the standard of a restaurant like Milners which we have enjoyed for many years. Please upgrade the way you offer wine tastings.“

“We’ve been in Winton-Salem now for almost a month for my husbands work, and we were trying out new restaurants everyday and then stumbled across the Hungry Palate. When I say we have eaten here EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. since, I am not exaggerating. Not only is the food FANTASTIC, but the bar staff are incredible! I truly feel like family. Lex, one of the bartenders, truly has gone out of her way to ensure that my husband and I are happy and satisfied ALWAYS. “We came to the restaurant today, Saturday November 8th. We aren’t from Winston, we are actually from Hickory NC and was in town for a party. I will be honest, we were first going to Texas Roadhouse and a last minute look online I found this place. Upon arrival, I was hesitant because there wasn’t many cars in the parking but I am so glad we went in. We got out of the car and they were playing 94.1 which is what we are listening to in the car. The waitress we had was awesome! She had only been there 6-7 weeks she said but she was amazing. The food was very good, especially the Spinach artichoke dip! 10/10 recommend this place! I am a firm believer in tipping and we made sure to give this waitress the tip she deserved. I wish I knew her name….“

“I've had occasion to eat at Johnny B's since it first opened. All in all it's a great restaurant, the seating is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and efficient, the food is great, and it's very clean. My only negative comments would concern the volume of the music in the background. When you go in for breakfast, or any time really, you don't need the music turned up as loud as it always is. My other negative comment concerns the fact that they are out of tea bags for hot tea quite often. If tea bags don't come when ordered there is a Food Lion right across the parking lot where a box could be purchased. These are minor items overall, and they won't stop us from dining there, but it would be nice to have these issues addressed.“

“The okra match sticks were just a delight to eat, what a great combination of flavors. Having grown up in the New Yrok and Maryland, I was hesitant about okra. But this was similar to eating a cloud with creative flavors. What a great appetizer!

Our main dishes, halibut for my wife - grill lamb for me - were terrific.

The blood orange sorbet was perfect for me. However my wife's 3 flavors of creme brulee were out of this world - especially the coffee flavor. Tasted almost like Hopje's candy from Holland.

The shrimp were a nice size and the right amount for the size of the salad. The salad was dressed perfectly. “A party of four go into Mayberry about 3:10 this afternoon! We waited about 5 minutes to even be seated! No one seemed to know what to do! We had to keep moving as we waited so that a lady could sweep! We ordered just banana splits and 2 ice cream sundaes! They were brought to us in a timely manner and that was it! Never saw the waitress again until I paid! My grandson dropped his spoon, I got up to get him another, no one at the counter! One waitress just walked by me to get out the door! No wait staff to be seen in the restaurant! Everyone was in the kitchen, talking! One lady was standing in the opening and I know that she could see me at the counter, but she chose to ignore me! I was ready to go behind the counter, but couldn’t see any spoons! After 3-4 minutes a lady comes out! We finish and get up to leave, no bill! I go to counter and wait probably 5-7 mins. Cashier has to ring up 2-3 ice creams and some man was trying to get his to-go order and he had been waiting a while! When the cashier finally ask me why I’m there, I tell her to pay my bill! She has no bill, can not find it on the cash register! She asked me twice where we were sitting! While she calls our waitress, she rings it up and I finally paid! Doesn’t give me my change back, I have to tell her what I gave her and how much change she owes me! First time in a long time that we’ve been to Mayberry and probably won’t be going back! Wasn’t very busy this afternoon, lots of employees just standing around/in the kitchen doing nothing!“

“I stopped in to pick up a Baja Turkey Burger for my Mom. She Loves their Turkey Burgers. Her appetite is poor, since, her Stage 4 Cancer could, no, longer be treated. The treatment caused adverse, effects. My Daughters paid her a visit, during, Christmas of 22 and discovered it on the menu. They purchased it. My Mom Loved it and has desired another, since. Today is a great day for her! Thanks for offering and preparing fresh, farm to table options.“

“Not sure why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. Is close to tons of restaurants, is SUPER clean and appears to be either new or recently updated. The outdoor pool area is clean and has nice furniture and a fire pit. The gym has all of the normal machines and weights. The air co sit-up we was nice and cold. The bed is super comfy. Check in was quick and easy. Super great stay!“

“This is our go-to bowling place in Winston-Salem. It's set up so that each player can have their own gutter guard settings, which is really convenient for kids or new bowlers.

Prices are very cheap - it costs us about $45 to rent shoes and get 2 games for 4 people each. People working there are very friendly as well. If you're looking for a bowling alley, definitely try here.“
