“Arrived too early for our lunch reservations. Some of us were starved already, so checked Yelp for the best place to snack. This place was highly recommended. Easy to find, and many ways to search what we wanted. Most of us picked the #10 and I picked the #13 (fried bun). Took a bit for it to be ready but there were 5 orders to do at one shot. We decided to wait inside even though it was a tight fit. It was a little chilly outside. I think mostly, people order to pick up or have delivered. So the food was piping hot! But we didn't care, it was so good! And we had 3 different dipping sauces. The really spicy one my husband liked a lot. Two of us enjoyed the soy sauce one. My dad liked the sweet white sugar sauce. Everyone was so happy and we can't wait to return again. Definitely recommend.“

“I used to eat here when it was under a different name. After the recent renovation, I decided to try it again. The food, mostly mid-southern Chinese food from Zhejiang/Shanghai, was authentic and tasted good. One exception was the hot and sour soup, too salty. Service was good. New setting/decor is modern and trendy.“

“Generally I give the total five star to this restaurant considering its flavor, service and environment. The steamed pot chicken soup is super good I will definitely choose this every time, on top of that I like sugar cake and highly recommend it. Besides, tomato beef soup, Dai style stir fried beef are also nice to try.“

“Probably the most authentic Beijing food in Manhattan. Super cute ambiance and amazing food - every dish was executed well and not too salty/oily/sweet unlike most other Chinese restaurants in the city. Service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend if you haven't tried Beijing food or if you're looking for legit Chinese food in the city!“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

Whether it's the classic favorites or innovative creations, there's always something deliciously surprising to discover here. “Got the munchies? Want to satisfy it quickly and cheaply? This spot is for you. It is quick and cheap. Food is also fresh. People are going in and out so food won't get stale. The food is also tasty. They even have veggies for people who don't eat meat. If you're a straight up vegetarian then try the plain congee and the cilantro roll. Excellent! They also do custom orders. If straight up cilantro rice rolls is too plain, you can add egg, roast pork, or shrimp to spice it up. To skip the line, call the number so you'll be in and out.Vegetarian options: Cilantro rice roll, plain congeeParking: As you enter Elizabeth street from Canal Street, there is a parking garage 50 feet from the turn from Canal Street.“

“Solid hot pot place! I came on a cold Friday night with a friend for dinner. We did make a reservation ahead of time just in case, but the restaurant is larger than it appears from the outside. You use the tablet at the table to place your order. It defaulted to Chinese, so you have to switch it to English if you can't read it. We were not totally sure what everything was on the menu based on just the names. Food/Drinks: This is a communal hot pot place, so there is one large pot in the center of the table for your party instead of individual hot pots per person. This is a la carte instead of an all your can eat hot pot restaurant. You start by selecting the type of broth that you want. I recommend doing the half and half option, so you can try more than one. I typically get one spicy and one non-spicy. Be warned - the spicy one is SPICY! We got the lowest level which is "Normal," and the heat builds the more you eat it. I'm pretty good with spicy food, but I do not think I could do more than the "Normal" level. We also tried the pork bone broth, which was a good complement as our non-spicy option. You will select your preferred ingredients like meats, seafood, and veggies in order to cook them in the broth. We decided to go with beef, tofu, and veggies. The meat comes on a plate that they put on its side, which was an interesting presentation. Don't forget to make your own sauce at the sauce station to dip your cooked items in. We also got the kumquat lemonade, which was quite refreshing! It ended up being about $50/person for everything that we ordered. Service/Ambiance: We were confused at first because the restaurant sign is higher up, so we were not sure it was the right place. When you first walk in, there is a bubble tea stand to your left and a waiting area, so it was a big confusing. The sauce station is in the middle of the restaurant. Service is pretty standard for an Asian restaurant meaning it's not great. You will need to flag people down if you need them as they don't typically come over and check how you are doing like at standard American restaurants. This doesn't typically bother me since a lot of Asian places are like that. Overall: I would go back again for more hot pot!“

“Highly Recommend: steamed dumplings & wheat noodle in peanut butter sauce! ? On weekend they have fried dumplings special (pork only). Dumpling price is $4.50 for 12pcs, $3 for 6pcs. Other than great value for money, it is also tasty. I came on the weekend and it was packed.“

“Relatively new places, launched by a Chinatown local. You will come across this place through a keyword search for “Cantonese”. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t get the flavors as if you were in Sai Ying Pun. Dishes are Americanized to tailor to the locals. And yes, “general Tso’s chicken” has its honorable place on the menu. And yes, it is amazing. All dishes are amazing. No wonder there is a huge line to get a table. There hasn’t been a single smile coming out of any of staff members, but it’s ok. Food quality and atmosphere overshadow particularities of one’s hard day at work.“

“OMG...this IS the best sponge cake you'll have in NYC. I've had my fair share looking for one that compares to the original Kam Hing. The owner apprenticed with the original Kam Hing owner and finally opened his own cafe! Can't go wrong with the original flavor but the pandan coconut is sooooo goood! it's my new fav! This is my new go to place for sponge cakes!“

“This was recommended by Future Canoe YouTube channel. Takeout only. I had a pineapple pork bun. Delicious! Taste similar to what I had in Singapore. I also ordered the shiumai (pork dumplings), the best shiumai I've ever had. Big pieces and full of meat. I would come back for sure. Because it's takeout only, it's quite hard to eat outside the restaurant but so worth it. Service was quick even though there's a line.“

“If you're searching for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary, look no further than PF Changs! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was both inviting and elegant, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. But what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service provided by bartenders Quenta and Danny. Their professionalism and attentiveness elevated my visit to new heights. Their mastery of mixology was evident in every cocktail they crafted, each one a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. Their genuine enthusiasm and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.I must also commend Giussepe, the manager, for his excellence and attentiveness. He ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. His dedication to customer satisfaction was evident throughout the evening, and his presence only enhanced an already stellar experience. In summary, PF Changs, with its outstanding service and delectable cuisine, earns a perfect 10/10 in my book. “Being that I spend so much time in Chinatown, my social media feeds are often pumped full of cheap eats and hidden gems etc etc. when I saw the video for this literal hidden gem underground "looks hella sketchy" dumpling spot - I said to a coworker we must go I bet we walk past all the time - and we walked up to the glass doors and fully hesitated because yes it is THAT SKETCH - I said we are going and opened the doors went down the stairs and the other stairs and ordered the dumplings (the man at the window spoke English) and OMG seriously the best I've had and I will 100% return for more and to try other menu items. CASH ONLY There's other stores in this defunct mall. Jewelry and perfume ? Knockoffs? Not sure.“

“This is the easiest 5 star review I've ever left. Came here for an anniversary and the staff made it feel incredibly special. The food was divine, environment was great, and service was beyond impeccable. Anything you could want for a celebration or just a nice night out. The tasting menu was wonderful and would absolutely recommend spending the additional $10 for the custard and caviar. If you're torn between desserts go with the cake and sorbet, both are incredible but it's the more complete and balanced dish imo. Honestly thanks again to the staff for making a special night even moreso.P.s. I would buy the scallion butter by the tub if I could.“

“Came in last night around 7:30pm. The girl taking my order seem like she didn’t want to be there and not the friendliest. I was a bit intimated and shy to order more as she seemed annoyed the more the I ordered. The girl bringing my food out was lovely! Made sure I was satisfied with my food, and named every dish as it came out & overall very upbeat. I didn’t grab her name but she & beef noodle made my experience lovely!!“

“A small restaurant in Chinatown that serves a lot of Chinese noodles dishes. I ordered the Spicy Lamb Huimei ($11.75) and Pancake w. Pork ($5.75). The noodles were decent but I was not amazed, but the pancake w. pork (also known as a Chinese hamburger) tasted delicious. The service was great and they are cash only. The pancake was a bit on the expensive side, but still not expensive. Overall, I would rate this place a 7.5/10 - I wouldn’t have any urge to revisit, but if I were to be in the area I would show up to enjoy a good bowl of noodles + Chinese hamburger.“

“If you are reading this because it's late, maybe it's cold, and street side yakitori feels like the the little planet you need to orbit in the vastness of NY space, then this is your sign to go. “We had a wonderful event at For U, the food is absolutely delicious, I keep thinking about the cucumber salad it’s so crunchy and tastes so good, the sesame noodles are flavorful and so good, delicate and delicious version of that dish, the best I have ever had. And the Peking duck is divine. It’s a wonderful place for a party, they work with you to make it really special. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the space is warm and beautiful. We had a wonderful time and will go back for dinner very soon.Dietary restrictions: Our event served vegan and vegetarian options as well as standard fare“

“Great prices for delicious food. I see why Guy Fieri has come here three times. The noodles are perfectly imperfect and the flavors are spot on. The only questionable thing about the place is that the duck is served bone-in which brought down my wife's enjoyment of her dish“

“My dad, a Chinatown native, is a regular here so that's already a great recommendation! Definitely start with the roti canai ($8), thin dough dipped in curry. The Hainanese chicken with rice was juicy and the chicken rice is a hit. The masak lemak was spicy and super flavorful. Every dish is an amazing value with large portions at extremely reasonable prices. They have a few beer/wine selections as well, and we had some wine at $8/glass. The space itself is large so great for groups!“

“This has been my favorite rice roll place for over a year. I usually get a pork rice roll and herbal jelly. There is a much longer line since they got more popular though. Still fairly quick, and reasonably priced. I can only go when my school has a half day, because they close very early (by my standards). Definitely recommend!“

“My aunt likes this place, she bought 7 orders. The pork, and fresh shrimp is probably the best, but so is an 'off menu item', cilantro cheung fun, love it. The beef, chicken, and dried shrimp, not my favorite(Not for me). Don't add peanut sauce, it just muddles the flavors, making it, less enjoyable. Sadly to say this was the last full meal, she ever got to eat.“

“Yep, all the positive reviews are true. This place is the best of the best in the 5 boroughs. I thought Brooklyn Chinatown had the best but I was wrong. The Jin mei dumplings are the best because they're the best BALANCED dumplings. What do I mean by that? They're pan fried the way I like it: crispy! The meat to dough ratio is spot on. The pork chive mix isn't overwhelming. How do I know that? I'm not having after taste from burping it up. I know so because I killed 35 in one sitting. Though the jin mei dumplings are a bit smaller than the Brooklyn ones but it's about taste. Jin mei wins. It will be my go to spot when I'm in Manhattan south“

“The BeiJing duck was well spiced and sliced. While the staff provided supplementary vegetables and wraps whenever we ran out, the wraps were quite thin and often stuck to each other, making the experience difficult. The lamb hot pot was quite spicy as it had claimed to be. “202404 Quick fix for homesickness near Times Square. 4.5 overall with hits and minor misses.Wonton Soup tastes like home. My dad said it’s not as good as the ones actually back home, but for me it’s heartwarming enough.Beef Noodle is mellow. I don’t usually like onion but the ones in the soup actually tastes delightfully sweet. Slightly oily for me but it’s not too bad for restaurant food. The Glutinous Rice Dumplings make me feel nostalgic. A little less aromatic and balanced as the ones back home (maybe a little more soy sauce and shiitake and pork fat would help), but again, a rare find abroad where the market is filled with Cantonese meat Shiu Mai.Xiaolongbao is alright. The meat filling lacks umami, but the soup is generous/ambitious. The skin is of good thickness though can be firmer.Shrimp Dumplings are a bit fishy maybe because of the ingredients. The dough is freshly kneaded in the kitchen, which is a plus.Service is prompt and friendly. All tables are set around the teppanyaki. We get to watch other people’s show but it’s a little difficult to share food.“
