“Had the most wonderful 50 th wedding anniversary experience. Wanted something quiet and they delivered. We felt like royalty. The food was Devine, service excellent and yet it was not stuffy or too proper! Will return again and again.”
“I wondered how I could eat well on vacation. Vibe was across the street from my rental and I was so happy to find it! Meal problem solved! I bought a couple of bowls and a wrap during my stay. I even got my mom and two sisters to visit with me. They found something to try, too! Wish you had a store in Utah, I'd try everything on the menu. I actually got to have ice-cream! Thank you Vibe, Dana Point.”
“Everything we had was so delicious. My 12 year old non vegan son loved it all too!”

“We made a reservation for our Anniversary celebration and the restaurant went above and beyond to acknowledge our special occasion. Starting with a congrats from the hostess, to the waiter, to a nice card, to a gift card for an app or flatbread, they made our meal and outing special. We have eaten here often, and order pick-up often as well, and it is one of our favorite restaurants for the quality and value. Service and food are always excellent, as was this meal.”
“Decent place for Brazilian food. The only con is the portion size. Small lil bucket of beans and meat w fat.
- Dont order pastel at the end of their shift thru doordash bc it will not come up fresh - they prob fry ahead of time. Ive tried twice and really disappointed. Besides that, good place! Sweats are great especially the bolo de doce de leite one.”

“The Duck Confit Spliff is a great representation of the Vietnamese & French cultures “wrapped” up all in one dish. And for a more traditional & fun way to eat it, you definitely have to use your hands. My only wish was for a little more duck in the spliff.
With the Ebelskivers, the concept was again brilliant. The garlic emulsion creates an intense garlic flavor but in a light and airy way. But like takoyaki, I wish there was more escargot in the batter to remind me more of that chewy feel from the traditional dish.
The surprise star of our meal was the Royale with Cheese. The wagyu had great flavor and char. And the sesame seed bun held up well for this napkin-required burger. But those pickles were amazing nuggets of necessity to add balancing acidity to the richness of the dish.
We definitely want to try the Duck Breast, the Spanish Octopus, and the Prix Fixe Meal on future visits. A final thanks to Chef & Curtis for the friendly service and explanation of the menu.”
“Sushi Shunka is our go-to spot for celebrating special occasions and also our fave sushi spot in OC. Located in a strip mall at the corner of E. 17th Street and Tustin Avenue in Costa Mesa, the restaurant specializes in authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine. "Shunka" means "Flavor of the Season", so they of course select their fish depending on the season and in addition to customer favorites. The sushi chefs are veterans and the wait staff are polite helping to provide an unforgettable dining experience to their customers.
I highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar and ordering one of the omakase options. On our recent visit, I ordered the Chef's Omakase which included 10 pieces of sushi including sea bream, Japanese sea bass, mackerel, amberjack, toro and bluefin tuna among others. The sushi is always top-qualify and practically melts in your mouth. I have a big appetite so I also supplemented my meal with a toro hand roll, blue fin tuna hand roll and fried Hamachi Kama. Everything is made to order and is so oishi! Having said that, this is fine dining so expect to pay a high price but know that it’s worth every penny. As I mentioned before we only visit on special occasions, so I’m already hoping we’ll have a reason to celebrate again soon!”

“I don’t claim to be a connoisseur in Asian cuisine. I do like fresh, variety, spices, sauces and appreciate courteous efficient service. My second visit. Was not disappointed. The wait to be seated is long. Would not have waited but one person in our group was visiting from out of state and insisted.”

“The service was great. As soon as we sat down we where taken care of and throughout our stay our waiter constantly checked to see if we where ok. Out food came out quickly and we even got a complimentary dessert. We come here atleast 7/8 times a year and about 4 times for business meetings but this place is our favorite spot that we drive about an hour just to come and eat here. Food and dessert and service 10/10 . Thank you”
“Amazing Valentine’s weekend dinner! Six courses made for a most Indulgent Aphrodisiac’s menu created by Chef Tony. The plating was exquisite, service very attentive, and relatively low-carb, very copicetic with my diabetic precautions. The French Chardonnay we had enjoyed was lovely, paired well particularly with the scallop crudo, oyster and lobster dishes. It was also a pleasure to meet and chat with Yassmin, the co-owner and wife of Chef Tony. We are planning to dine here again, next time for The restaurant’s High Tea, which is offered on Sunday afternoons.”
“Have been a very satisfied regular @EatChow CM for several years. The menu varies seasonally, selections are plated attractively & are always delicious; love the fried green tomatoes😋. Eric & his crew are cordial with the right balance of attentiveness. Undoubtedly authentic, consistently never fails to please & a local, late night favorite🧘🏻♀️”
“We LOVE Il Dolce! It's like coming home and being treated to a delicious meal. We've been coming here for ten years and every time is lovely. We ordered the funghi pizza and one of the pasta specials. Both were delicious! The service was warm, engaged, and efficient. We'll be back as soon as we're in town again!”
“We had such a great experience at Yuzu Sushi! The service was outstanding—Ann P. was an incredible host who truly took care of us with kindness and attention. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole dining experience even better.
The sushi itself was absolutely top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. What I loved most is that it wasn’t greasy at all, just pure, clean taste that makes you want to keep eating more.
Highly recommend this spot to all sushi lovers—you’ll definitely leave satisfied!”
“Great food !! Had no chance to take a picture of the food but I got the chipotle rice bowl! Delicious, big portions. Dad got the pull pork he said it was yummy ! The desserts were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Will definitely be back out next trip to Cali. You will also see the owner greet every table, I think that’s amazing! Makes you feel well taken care of. Thank you !”
“Excellent value for the quality of food and service. Definitely make reservations or wait could be long for dinner. Lunch is easier to get in without reservations.”

“I love sushi, and out of the amount of sushi places I’ve gone too, this one has blown my mind. They have a wide range of rolls, I came with my bf and got the crispy rice and spice tuna, and then was later recommended hot night by Sean, one of the cooks, he was phenomanal, the art in the roll pares the food as well as the look at an out standing 10 stars if I could. 🔥👏👏👏”
“One of my favorite sushi bars in CM!!! 2 orders 3 roll Maki special Tuna Lover, White Tiger, Shrimp Super Crunch, Soft shell crab, baked scallops, Newport special Salmon 👍🏽”

“Great coffee and chai! My husband and I stopped in while visiting our kids in the area. Adorable place and some of the coffee we have had. He had the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and I had an iced dirty chai. We loved them both. We will be back any time we are in town!”
“Love this place. First time here. Super authentic legit Soba / Udon place. All hand crafted. Chicken Tempura Curry Udon / Shabu Shabu Spicy Udon / Classic Tempura Udon. All fantastic. Does justice to our 10yrs in Japan. Wish we lived closer to here. But will mos def. Shout out to Scarlett, my number one fan for reading this ;-)”
“Nothing fishy about this place. It's a small family run business. Blame covid for the price increases and there are sign posted to make you aware of the increase. it's the best food and most reasonable prices in town. if you cant afford a 11 dish then don't buy or complain about it. These reviews are for the food not whiners.”

“Liquid 4 Life is a breath of fresh air! Shad is simply the most generous human. We were captivated by his knowledge, passion, and authenticity for wellness & goodness. Our kids loved their Bliss smoothie and I loved Blue Majik. Felt hydrated & elevated after our visit. Thank you, Shad!”
“Visited Curry Do in Costa Mesa!.
Our go to location is Tustin on Newport Avenue. But we decided to try this new location as we were in the area!
Had a couple of Japanese Orion Beers and ordered the delicious Chicken Katsu with JapaneseCurry! If you've never had Japanese Curry before, you should definitely give Curry Do a try!
Freshly cooked and Crispy! Asked for the Chili Powder and a double helping of pickled radish. Have it with a side of Egg!
Try having the Curry on the side. That's my preferred way of having it!
Curry Do is definitely a place to check out when in Costa Mesa! Don't forget to visit the Tustin location too... Hi Nori!!!
Socalweekendwalkarounds definitely recommends Curry Do!

“Make sure you arrive hungry! The portions are large, the food tasty, and service was excellent. Don't be fooled by the unique design of this restaurant - looks like they added to a fashionable takeout restaurant by adding a chic patio area that looks almost like a full indoor restaurant with full service menu. Takeout in the front and bei restaurant in the back and side.”

“Best customer service ever and the tacos was amazing just like big boy said the best tacos and we couldn’t get enough we had to get more tacos and she took very good care of us and I am a very big fan of big boy from strength cartel she made me feel very welcomed and took very good care of us we came all the way from Oklahoma City”
“This place is AUTHENTIC! If you can’t spare a trip to Japan, make a trip here! They have your standard menu items (salmon, tuna, eel) but also some exotic items (Hokkaido uni) and even off menu specials (flounder cheeks). I didn’t get a chance to try many items, but the ones I did, were extremely memorable.
I highly recommend the steamed egg (Chawanmushi). It is full of well seasoned seafood that compliments the truffles and steamed egg, leaving a lasting memory that begs you to order again.
Another recommendation is the monkfish liver (Ankimo). While not for everyone, if you enjoy foie gras (duck liver), you will definitely enjoy this dish. The flavor profiles is unique, as the ankimo is prepped in-house with a chef’s special blend of seasonings and spices. It is also served with a special blend of sauce and seaweed that compliments the firm, yet creamy texture of ankimo that melts in your mouth.
UPDATE: Having visited this establishment again, I have modified my review. The consistency in both food quality and flavor was not there. I ordered salmon collar and it smelled foul upon arrival; tasted that way too. The Chawanmushi was lighter in flavor as well.”
“I have been on an elimination diet for 11 months (AIP) and have had to give up eating out because no one serves anything I can have without completely changing the menu item! Chixy Natural’s Paleo Bowl was absolutely delicious! Such simple and yummy ingredients! Best of all, I didn’t have to cook it myself. We will be going there again!”
“I came to Tabu Shabu on a Friday right before happy hour ended, and they were kind enough to still honor it—great service! This spot has been hyped a lot, and I’d say it’s worth the visit, especially with the happy hour discount. Without it, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes up for it.
I ordered the lamb and beef, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. The highlight was definitely the service of turning my leftover hot pot into porridge—it made for a delicious and hearty late-night meal. It’s a lot of food, so you definitely get your fill.
Overall, a solid spot for hot pot if you’re looking for good quality and unique offerings. Definitely recommend catching happy hour if you can!”
“Amazingly wholesome food. I came across this local business and it was so well prepared, you could taste the love and care that goes into their meals. I spoke with the owner as I was waiting for my food and you can tell that he really cares about his customers and preparing quality food. They cater too! If you are staying at the Hilton, you must try out this place!”

“*Ladies, read this* I pass this place all the time and decided to give it a try one night with friends. It's got an up beat vibe, good music, friendly people and some typical sports bar stuff. Pool, darts, other games, so its got somethijg for everyone. The drinks are really great and the bar staff are even better! I will try to post the video I took of one of the male bartenders. He's handsome, super happy and friendly, and really fun to watch make drinks!! Stop by to watch football, it's an Eagles bar, play some games, have a great drink, do a little dancing, watch live bands, or just go watch the bartender do his thing! No matter why you go, it will be a fun time!”
“I recently visited bb.q Chicken in Costa Mesa and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. The portions were just right, and the food arrived impressively fast. I found the fries especially unique – they had a powdered cheese coating with a slight sweetness, adding an interesting twist.
The star of the meal was, of course, the chicken. It was juicy and flavorful, with a marinade that didn’t overwhelm the crispiness of the batter underneath. Since this is Korean cuisine, there’s a subtle hint of sweetness in most dishes. While sweet flavors aren’t usually my preference, I knew to expect it with Korean flavors, and it worked well here. The prices were reasonable, making it all the more worth it.
Overall, a solid place to get flavorful and well-prepared Korean fried chicken.”
“Came here for my first time with my best friends and will be coming again! Amazing and perfect customer service, very professional, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable! The pizza was the best part, very tasteful and delicious, didn't even take a picture because it was that good.
Very well organized and clean, with such a nice vibe and scenery truly did have an awesome experience!”
“The pizza is indeed delicious and they have very innovative flavors, such as potato pizza, pear and Gorgonzola, etc. I wish the place was better kept, it has very limited tables, they don’t offer fountain drinks, just drinks by the can and the variety is limited. If you live far from this place and takeout is not an option, you may end up eating the pizza standing up.”
“Without a doubt… The Flaky Apple Pie Co is the best find ever!! I have ordered all of the different pies and each one is more delicious than the last !! The most wonderful pie was the last one I bought…. The most unbelievable FRESH PEACH Pie!!! Best I have ever had!!! Thank you Brooke and her team! We will be friends forever!❤️”
“We got brunch here with 3 adults and 3 toddlers. The back area was beautiful and a perfect enclosed area for us all to enjoy before eating some delicious food. The mimosa, breakfast burrito and peanut butter & chocolate bar were highlights.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of outdoor space. On the morning we were there the back was empty, which was perfect for letting little people do some exploring without bothering other customers.”
“Love this place. Right off the freeway in a convenient location. They shop is well decorated with a nice vibe. Their coffee is always solid with good variety of drinks. It a good spot to work during the day or just swing by for a drink to go. Overall its a great little spot”
“I have been to the Sessions in Newport beach a few times and I love everything about the place, great food, great service, and the owner greeted me personally! I would 100% recommend this place for a great family meal!”
“So happy they finally opened! Always great service! Amazing quality meat and fresh veggies!”
“Amazing food and atmosphere. We sat at the bar and have to give our bartender/waiter Jake a huge shout out. He was the best! Definitely going back again.”

“This is an excellent spot for date night. Drinks are great and the ceviche was so good - very refreshing with so much flavor. We also couldn't pass up on the papa rellenas!”
“This is my favorite restaurant! I loved it back when it was on Bristol, but I have been back to the new Red Hill location twice now and it is even more of a special dining experience. Massimo has come out to explain the history of the wine and food and the sources of his ingredients. He tells wonderful stories with a great sense of humor, and his daughter who helps serve is also very knowledgeable and delightful. I feel transported and hosted in a way I have never experienced in a restaurant. The food is amazing. The fresh handmade pasta melts in your mouth. We have eaten every dessert and they are all spectacular. Every wine and appetizer we have tried has been extraordinary. I couldn't recommend this place more.”

“Impressive array of the best ingredients unavailable in most Japanese restaurants in the US prepared in different styles”
“Been coming here for years! So many options! - Chicken avocado sandwich, sub gardein and vegan cheese, no sauce - vegan orange chicken with spicy rice - gardein wings no ranch (also on happy hour menu!)”

“Delish and great staff. The staff IS family and they treat not only their customers like family, but the other staff as well. That means a lot. We had a fun time with DJ and Pleng. About the food... We had 4 dishes... Hanuman's ceviche, Tom Kha Gai, Massaman, Pad See Ew and a nice glass of Malbec. My favorites were the ceviche and Massaman. But everything was so good. Hubs liked everything. There was literally no wait at 3 pm but come soon... Once word gets out this place will have a 45 min wait just like the mother location on Bristol.”
“One of my favorite Costa Mesa restaurants. The atmosphere is very professional and perfect for lunch event.”
“Delicious Food amazing customer service If you love Thai this place is a most”
“Oysters are always super delicious and fresh! The list of oysters is extensive and ever changing. The salads are so filling and the clam chowder is the bomb! Staff is always friendly and the service is great.”
“We bought 3 small sandwiches and we were full. They fill those sandwiches perfectly, and they are so flavorful.
Not to mention the beach bites are perfect for an appetizer, or a meal which our son did and he loved the sauce. ( We got it hot, but you can order it cold)
Has a bar area with Tv screens perfect for game days!
Super family friendly, if I lived closer this would definitely be a once a week spot or more.
Vegetarian options: There is a few sandwiches that are vegetarian, but you could definitely substitute things in other sandwiches to be vegetarian friendly and Delicious.
Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options
Parking: It's in a plaza so but there is parking close by.
Kid-friendliness: Kida menu, the area is spacious. There were other families there at the time.”
“Absolutely Awesome!! This location has a great atmosphere and the employees are very attentive and friendly. The food came out fast, hot and fresh!! AND they are open 7 days per week !!! EVERYDAY!!”
“Great food! Warm and very friendly greeting at the front. Best dining service provided by the staff.”
“Found by accident great food and service excellent. Patio and in four dining. Had beef teriyaki with tempura and miso soup and salad and California roll. ReAsonable priced too”
“My favorite spot for wonderful food in a funky, hip atmosphere. Chicken and waffles are a must!”
“My cousin and I ordered this on DoorDash yesterday and the food was SO good and fresh! We had 4 different things and the price was very fair.
Definitely will come back in person and see how it is!”
“Poke tartar was amazing. Chicken risotto was good but a little disappointing after the poke tartar. Montepuciano wine was great. It was a little chilly outside but they have blankets at the ready for anyone who needs it.”
“Such a great menu selection and they were eager to make modifications as requested. The mimosas were perfect and we ordered their famous cinnamon roll as an appetizer. The cinnamon roll lives up to its reputation- YUM! The food was very delicious with just the right seasoning. The service is personable without encroaching on conversations. We are definitely going back again and again!”
“This is such a nice place to eat and gather especially on a nice sunny day in in Costa mesa! You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you on a wood platter. And some of the best barbecue food I've had. We love this place!”

“First time dining here and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and everything exceeded our expectations. What truly made the experience extra special was our waiter, Roberto. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable—he made us feel so welcome and taken care of from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guests' experience. We will definitely be coming back, and we'll be asking for Roberto!”
“Amazing aged steaks and wonderful surprising tapas that change seasonally. Don’t miss out on the seasonal cocktails also. They have alcohol and 0 alcohol options which I love.”
“My husband and I were at the dealership across the street and could smell the deliciousness. I am so glad we decided to go in. Everyone was so friendly and inviting, they had the World Series on and were playing trivia! I even scored some swag (super cute beanie)! Everyone pitched in to serve us and the food was amazing! Thank you!!”
“Been going here for over 30 years 😲. Tortellini Pesto is my family’s favorite. If we go even close we make a point of eating here, or will order a large catering pan full to take home to Riverside county Mark and Julie have created a great and memorable place to eat”

“Great pizza, came out fast. Went with their most popular and loved it. Even went back to get their chicken pesto, just as good.
It’s a really cool spot and has a speakeasy in the back! Did not expect that.
10/10. I’ll definitely be back”
“This place is a nice, little gem in the mall. The food is good, though it took a bit of time to get it. Honestly, the best part about the place is the staff. I was served by two lovely ladies who were quite kind and professional. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll certainly come back through for another Italian dish :)”
“I've never had a bad pour in all the years I've been going to Wine Lab. Unique wines you won't find elsewhere, all delicious! The food is yummy & the owner and staff are delightful.”
“Tried calling to increase number from 2 to 4. Voicemail not set up. Once open I called and talked with someone about going from 2 to 4. Couldn't find my reservation. Said she'd leave a note. Arrived to find no note left and our original reservation was in system...for 2. Thank goodness not busy. And that $50 per person cancellation fee??? Wow I know 3 couples who've quit going at all. What about illness?”
“The quality of US wagyu is really good. Differs from Japanese A5 but not as greasy and still tender. Recommended for the quality of meat. Try the beef sukiyaki where the thin slice of beef wrapped with rice ball and raw egg yolk as dressing; it's like the taste of heaven!”
“the food has always been great. Service was really good. Hope to get back there soon.”
“It’s a treasure: a Chinese/Japanese place that provides actually safe guten free options. Many thanks to Kazu for guiding me through my choices and even having my my fried rice remade without imitation crab.
Vegetarian options: Seems to be some stuff
Dietary restrictions: They actually make gluten free work I am pretty sure. Kazu actually listened to my explanation and did his best to get me safe food. I bet it would be that way for another allergy too.
Parking: Lot gets full, but there’s a garage
Kid-friendliness: I mean, it’s tasty
Wheelchair accessibility: Looks pretty good”
“We always eat here before the theatre. Food is great, service is great, and very convenient. I like dining and then walking over to the theatre.”
“Great vibe and really well appointed space. Would be nice to have a table for 4 but what I saw it was geared towards singles and couples. Cozy spot in the back and the drinks are all excellent. Highly recommend for a night cap.”
“Food is excellent here!! Must make reservation to enter. But if they tell you that tables are filled, ask for next available time frame. You won’t be sorry. It’s so good.”
“(Translated by Google) Very good service and the best birria tacos and quesadillas! Nicole is always very friendly!(Original)Muy buen servicio y los mejores tacos y quesadillas de birria! Nicole es siempre muy amable!”
“Whatta wonderful treat to be at this fabulous place! Such great classic dishes that you don’t see anymore on menus like King crab legs & all the different types of steaks. The lights are low & the service is impeccable. A gem in the coastal cities of the OC.❤️”
“I was Absolutely impressed by the tasty food here. I went with the fish tacos and the crab cake. I must say one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had, and the fish tacos were great too. Also the price is very reasonable.Stayed for the night and what a convenient restaurant. Exited to stay again and most certainly try more of the menu.”

“Poul’s Bakery took our breath away , we couldn’t believe the cake we have taken pictures from we have searched the internet images and sent it to her the custom cake we wanted , and not only she made the identical one ,the taste was so delicious actually finished the entire slice, it’s rare for me to eat the whole slice, as many cakes are made with to much sugar , it overwhelms to entire cakes other ingredients, this was so perfectly balanced ,and l asked for second , so did few guests , we as host wished we ordered the bigger size , we don’t like the buttercream topping due to its excessive sugar , we ordered her soexisl topping , while you others ask no buttercream but we want Poul’s Bakery special topping we heard so much about it , sorry l don’t remember what it was called . My bad ,this Poul’s baker we also find out been around for decades as she is the second owner but uses the same original recipes. She said it’s a company secret Lol, we respect that Try Poul’s Bakery , it won’t s sidelong you and ask for a sample of their fantastic cannolis . And on the spot in events she actually make the cake front of your guests . We never tried that but people are ranting about it and went at viral with millions of views and shared ,,we saw it in her website . Poul’s Bakery didn’t disappoint us , give them a try Best from Goldstein family”

“It was my first time there and I was recommended a combination pho for all of us. An explained to me all the ingredients in there and how to pick the noodles. We went with the big flat fresh noodles. It was delicious. There was only one size and I couldn't finish it, but for the price of $14.50, it was really worth it. The waitress even offered to take a picture for our family, I love the food and the service here. She also recommended me the other locations of phoholic, westminster and stanton. I will definitely try the other two locations.”
“So much fun! Been here multiple times. Had so much fun the first time I had to bring back my adult daughters to check it out. Can’t wait for the next trip.”
“Delicious😍😍. We ordered take out for a picnic in the park on a Sunday afternoon. Our food was ready on time and the pickup was fast and easy 😋. Our food was delicious, the poke bowl was my favorite but the chicken was also delicious. Parking in the area is always tough 🙄”
“Okay, I thought this was one of this joints where you order “Xtra Crack” in the comments and you get some smoking crack. Imagine my disappointment when I opened my bag and all I had was delicious chicken, fries and amazing coleslaw. Honestly though, I think that chicken has smoking crack in it cause I just finished eating and I’m already itching for some more…. Maybe you could help a fella out and get me some chicken? Come on man! Please?!?!?”
