“A Hidden Gem for Vietnamese Comfort Food!
I had an incredible dining experience at this Vietnamese restaurant. The standout dish was their beef stew pho, which was absolutely unforgettable. The broth was rich, flavorful, and deeply comforting—unlike any pho I’ve had before. It had a unique blend of spices that gave it a slightly sweet, aromatic depth, and the beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender. What made it even better? It came with a warm, soft baguette on the side—perfect for dipping into the broth. So simple, but such a game changer.
I also tried their vermicelli special, and it did not disappoint. It came beautifully arranged with grilled meats, fresh herbs, and crispy spring rolls—all bursting with flavor and texture. Every bite was balanced and satisfying.
If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese flavors with a creative twist, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“We had minced pork on rice, beef noodle soup, Dan Dan noodles, basil eggplant, pork belly bun, shaved ice and dou hua.
Overall, the food is pretty good. With some fine tunes, it can be closer to the yummy level of food in Taiwan, like some red beans in dessert are still hard, Dou Hua is too dry and needs some liquid or shaved ice to go with it, traditional shaved ice is too sweet though I like it much better than Korean style shaved ice, and brown rice is too hard. Service is good. Staff is nice. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Order at the counter, self service for water, extra bowls and utensils.
We live in the west side, and we will come back to try other stuff on the menu.“

“Good quality always. I have been there a few times back in 2023 and 2024. The tastes and quality never changed. Very nice service and environment. Seems like that could serve up to party of 8. But may need to wait during peak hours. Very convenient for a workday lunch if you work nearby.“

“I was in Osaka (Japan) and tried takoyaki there...and I want to say that the takoyaki in this restaurant is top notch!!! Maybe even tastier than they were in Japan back then 🥰
I really liked the beautiful presentation and, of course, the incredible taste! 🐙
Plus, while I was waiting for my dish, I saw a huge portion of ramen at the next table 🍜
I immediately wanted to try it, so I will definitely come back again!
I would also like to note that it’s cozy inside + it smells delicious. The staff is very nice and friendly ✨“

“A great little gem. We stopped in for dinner - not especially hungry due to late lunch but knew we needed to eat something. We split the cucumber salad - so fresh and tasty, a little sweet, a little salty. It’s sold as a small appetizer but, easily splittable. Then pork potstickers and veggie pancakes - eight of each, so plenty to share and also very tasty. Definitely would go back. Friendly attentive service to round out a great find.“

“This is what I call next-level vegan cuisine. Redwhite Ramen is truly in a league of its own. From the moment I stepped in, everything felt intentional—from the space to the flavors. That spicy roasted miso avocado roll? I’m still dreaming about it. The ramen? A full-on experience. Chef Tokuma even came over to explain the menu (yes, the service is that good). Every bite was dramatic in the best way possible—bold, balanced, and bursting with flavor. I’m a lifer now. If you’re looking for a place that takes vegan food seriously while still making it exciting and delicious, this is it.“

“A good place for rice noodles, and I really loved their broth! My go to is their sliced beef rice noodles, portions were good too. The restaurant is also very clean. Not to mention, when you order takeout, they pack everything so nicely! Service was fast too!
Note: there is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant although all seem to be compact sized, street parking is plenty too if you have a larger car. And, they also do happy hour from 2-6pm for snacks and drinks.“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“Clean, simple decor and friendly service. Was pleasantly surprised by the lunch special offered and ordered the spicy Yuzu Miso Ramen (at the server's suggestion) with a 3pc side of takoyaki. So happy with the choice!
The takoyaki wasn't drowned in mayo, the sauce was perfectly balanced, and it was genuinely some of the best I've tried in LA.
The ramen! Wow. The noodles were perfect to me. They had a good bite to them and they didn't try to slither out of my chopsticks while en route to my mouth. The meat was incredibly tender and slightly fatty, but not greasy. The broth wasn't overly salty or spicy and had a refreshing yuzu taste that didn't overwhelm the creamy miso flavor. My SIL pointed out how fresh the bamboo shoots tasted as they didn't have that vinegary tang to them that canned ones did.
I finished my bowl (something I can rarely manage) and didn't have the uncomfortable heavy feeling I've had with other miso-based ramen.
I can't wait to go back for the dinner hour and try patio dining
Kid-friendliness: It's small and quiet sit-down
Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the 1st floor,“
“Auntie Qiu Kitchen’s Pork XLB definitely hit the spot for my partner and me when we had cravings for XLB in Alhambra, didn’t get to try their crab and pork XLB but we'll have to come back to try it out! I definitely recommend the fried pork chop sticky rice cake, it’s super crispy, savory and the glaze on the pounded crispy rice cake is a great compliment. The server was nice and attentive and the food came out extremely fast!“

“Their Gukbap is superb felt like it was different version of gukbap more spicy and different broth compared to a traditional pork based creamy broth
My friend had their cold noodles and said it was lowkey mid so not sure what’s going on there… so eat the gukbap instead. Their Jeon is great and Mandoo is great too“

“🚨 New in Koreatown! 🚨
Say hello to Jjamppong Zizon (짬뽕 지존 LA), the hottest import straight from South Korea with over 100 locations—and now one right here in LA! 🔥
🌶 Spice Level Goals: From a mild 30% heat to a fiery 100%, there’s a level for everyone. Not into spice? No problem—they’ve got non-spicy options too! Pro tip: their proprietary red pepper flakes (brought directly from Korea) are at every table, so you can customize the heat to your liking.
🍜 What We Tried:
• Jjamppong (spicy seafood soup): Choose noodles, rice, sujebi (hand-pulled dough), or tofu! I went for tofu, and let me tell you—the velvety texture with the seafood broth is chef’s kiss.
• Jjajjangmyun (black bean noodles): Perfectly chewy noodles coated in a light, savory sauce. Add a sprinkle of those red pepper flakes for a flavor upgrade.
• Tang Siu Yuk (sweet & sour pork): Delicate batter, bold pineapple-sweet sauce, and juicy pork. A must-try!
• Fried Dumplings: Crispy perfection. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, and a pinch of red pepper flakes for an unforgettable dipping sauce.
• Shrimp Fried Rice Combo: Comes with a bowl of jjamppong soup and jjajjangmyun sauce—because why choose when you can have both?
✨ Why You’ll Love It:
Jjamppong Zizon redefines Korean-style Chinese food with dishes that are light, clean, and full of flavor. No food coma, just satisfaction.
📣 Pro Tips:
✔️ They validate parking! 🅿️
✔️ Hair ties at every table = no distractions between you and your food.“

“Everything we had here was fantastic! I loved the mango iced tea because it actually tastes like mangos, the chicken was nice and crunchy on the outside, juice and delicious on the inside. We also had xiao baos and their dry noodles with peanut butter sauce which were both fantastic! I would recommend against getting their devils hot sauce unless you have like an amazing spice tolerance! I thought my spice tolerance was fine because i can handle tapatio and valentina easily but this sauce left me chugging my drink and feeling the chili under my tongue for hours!“

“Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — Hae Ha Heng Thai Bistro nails it with both their Pad Thai and Papaya Salad.
The Pad Thai is perfectly stir-fried with tender chicken, chewy rice noodles, and a rich, balanced sauce. Topped with crisp bean sprouts, shredded carrots, and a lime wedge for a fresh kick.
The Papaya Salad is a vibrant mix of crunchy veggies, peanuts, shrimp, and that signature Thai tangy-spicy flavor. Super refreshing and visually stunning!
Both dishes are a delicious blend of tradition and presentation. Highly recommend!

“Great spot for noodles! They are Lanzhou style with 7 different varieties to choose from! This restaurant is located in Atlantic Times Square. There is underground parking that can be accessed on Atlantic or Hellman. If entering from Atlantic, take the upstairs ramp. The restaurant is very close to AMC. (You can park downstairs, but you will need to find the stairs to walk up.)
I do like the N2 braised beef noodle soup, N5 lamb noodle soup, and N4 spicy beef noodle soup. I love the flat noodles! I tried the beef rolls $12.99, but it's such a small portion. The ones at 101 Noodle Express are better (and they have a good green sauce too).
Service is good.
Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom is available in the back.“

“🍜 Chinatown’s Comfort Corner – A Humbling Noodle Experience at Kim Chuy
Kim Chuy is an unassuming treasure that overdelivers on flavor, warmth, and tradition. It’s the kind of local gem that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in—generous servings, authentic Chinese comfort food, and a no-frills vibe that feels just like home.
We started with the wonton egg noodle soup and a side of fried leeks. The soup? Not just good—it was built for noodle lovers. The broth was rich, the noodles perfectly textured, and the flavors so soothing that conversation at the table paused. It was a quiet appreciation of something humble and deeply satisfying, a true noodle moment that lifts your mood without saying a word.
We also ordered the broccoli beef chow mein, and I wish we’d snapped a photo before we dove in. The vegetables were crisp, fresh, and infused with garlic and savory chow mein notes. It’s not your typical fast-food-style dish—this is home-style, family cooking done right. Every bite reminded me of meals made with care, meant to be enjoyed and remembered.
Kim Chuy even offers pre-made leeks you can take home and cook—perfect for sharing, and trust me, they’ll go fast. Whether you’re a lifelong local or exploring Chinatown for the first time, Kim Chuy is a soul-satisfying stop that brings joy to noodle enthusiasts and food lovers alike.“
