The guy working helped me pick out what to drink and eat. I had a guava seltzer heavy on the guava and it was AMAZING, I like that you can control how much flavoring is added.
I ordered mac n cheese to eat and it was pretty good too.
I may have to come back with my meat eating beer drinking husband.”

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!”

“Unbelievable food! I am so excited to have discovered this foothill gem on a whim. The Place is a little out of the way, but WELL worth the trip. It wouldn't be a stretch to say this is the best food in El Dorado County. The cuisine is Italian fusion rather than straight Italian, but it works incredibly well! Make sure you start with the Piemontese Bagna Cauda (AKA "Hot Bath"). It's the best flat bread you'll ever have, without hyperbole: crispy outside, wonderfully doughy inside. For main courses… take your pick. The pizza— traditional Napoli Italian style— is perfect, no matter which one you choose. The other entrees are just as good. Don’t be put off by the use of polenta in place of traditional pasta. I was skeptical at first, but the first bite washed away all misgivings. These people know how to cook! Bene, Cirino’s, Sergio’s, Three Forks… all the best Italian places in the foothills will have to fight for second place.”

“Honesty, Gold Hill Winery probably not the best one among the area, but it won’t be a bad one, cause there are many different types of the wine for tasting. Also, the owner, which is an old lady seems like a fun person, she waived my tasting fee since I went there on a Thursday. If one thing I not feel quite good, that might be the deposited ashes of the grape left in the glass. To leave the customer a better tasting experience, they could add a cap with filter on the top of the bottle of the wines, so those ashes of the grapes will not fall into the glass with the fluid.”

“I've been coming here over the past decade! One of the best Buffets. Its Clean, food is Fresh every batch they make runs out so they have cookers behind making some more hot food! A little bit of everything, salad bar, fruit dessert, Mexican, American, Asian. Everyday it is different foods they make to have variety. Its worth paying the $25. Fridays & Saturday, Approx $60, its seafood day so its expensive but still the good worth and quality. Sunday they have brunch about $40 bucks. I'd recommend it and tell you to believe me cuz my tastes buds work and the amount of years and recommendations I've made to others have brought lots here.”

The room is relatively small, and quiet and services was excellent. We arrived at our reservation time and were immediately escorted to our table. While I do not recall our server's name, she was excellent. The food was exceptional! “Great decorations. Even the bathrooms look like a forest. When we arrived, we were all given a light-up wreath crown, which we were able to take home. There were 5 of us and we had the fondue dinner. Each course was more food than we could eat. Started with cheese fondue. Main course was pieces of filet mignon, chicken, meatballs and giant shrimp cooked in oil and finished with chocolate fondue. Delicious. Our waiter, Miles, was outstanding. Made sure we were well taken care of.”

You need to book a reservation online for the Friday lobster special any crowd larger than 4 requires you to call in the casino customer service line.”

“I went to Annie's for the first time today and ordered the Mexicali sandwich and fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sandwich had just the right amount of spiciness to it with the chipotle sauce and jalapenos. The fries were amazing and crispy too. Everyone that works there was very attentive and super friendly. I live right around the corner and I will definitely be back to try the breakfast and mimosas. I told my husband it was a 10 out of 10.”

“My husband and I were craving Chinese food so we headed up to Placerville to try the restaurant on Placerville Dr only to find out it was closed due to damage from a car. So we googled other locations close by and ended up at Grand China. We've lived in EDC for years and never knew that it was even there. Since this is on the back side of the shopping center and can be easily missed. I have to say the food was excellent, it was so tasty and light, not greasy at all like many other restaurants! The owner and wait staff were so nice, the atmosphere was great too. The portions were generous and I was actually so happy that we had leftovers to take home and enjoy again.We'll definitely be back to this hidden treasure behind Mickey D's!! ?”

I did this to see if it would be okay to bring in a birthday cake and they said no problem. Much to our surprise when it was time for cake they brought out one, they had bought to add to the celebration. It was very touching and even more fun to hear Happy Birthday sung in Chinese. Thank you to everyone at Wonderful Chinese for a scrumptious dinner and helping us to make some special memories!”

We ordered egg rolls(which were really spring rolls), pot stickers that were stuffed full and very delicious, bbq pork chow mein(noodles were more like chow fun), honey walnut prawns that were absolutely delicious, sweet and sour pork absolutely delicious, and chicken with string beans which was absolutely amazing! I am sure we have enough leftovers for a few more meals!

My one and only complaint is that the atmosphere of the restaurant was a little bit run-down. Everything was serviceable, but just looked worn out. Unlike other places I've eaten, however, I genuinely do not feel like this issue is born out of a lack of care on the Staffs' side. They seem to really care about the location, and do the best with what they've got.

“I was having a really bad day, then I saw this place and it did not disappoint. The frozen yogurt was firm coming out of the machine (a must for a good review from me---I HATE melty ice cream or any other frozen desert), and the chocolate flavor was really rich and good. When I am treating myself to the handful of times I eat frozen yogurt a year, I make it super double, extra chocolatey. Choc frozen yogurt, choc sprinkles, oreo crumbles and choc chips if they have them. YAAAAESSSS! It was mid-afternoon and not only was it a bad day, but I had not eaten anything till that point. The young lady working was kind, friendly and professional, the toppings seemed fresh and tidy (not gross and mixed together). I will be back when I am heading through Placerville and need a chocolate fix! Thank you!”

“I don’t know where to begin writing this, we could not recommend Saureel Vineyards and their staff more! We had our wedding here and there are dozens of reasons why we chose this venue, and I could think of a million more reasons I would choose it again if I had to do it all over. The scenery is unmatched, there isn’t a corner that doesn’t have the perfect backdrop. You get to stay at the property two nights, and ability to extend your stay like we did… which is a small fraction of the cost if you were to book hotels/airbnbs elsewhere for your wedding weekend. We stayed for 4 nights and I can’t tell you how at ease and stress free we were able to remain because of that. That was priceless. Jordan and her staff are incredible, they stepped right in when error occurred and solved problems within an instant. There was never a moment where I was worried if the day was under control. They also answered all of my questions promptly throughout the entire process and were truly more than day of coordinators. The Lakehouse is the best place to host your closest people as you celebrate marrying your best friend. Plenty equipped to host, stay, and enjoy your wedding weekend at the very same place where all the festivities take place. Which is so so special. If I could give one piece of advice to future couples, it is to choose a venue that you can stay at for two or more days, and Saureel is the best place to do it! The value of this venue is immeasurable, and we can’t wait to stay at the Lakehouse VRBO in the future and reminisce our favorite day!!!”

“We absolutely love Pizza Factory in Placerville! My family and I come here often because my kids can’t get enough of the food and the fun, welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is always spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive every single time.

Most recently, we used Pizza Factory for catering my son’s graduation party, and they went above and beyond. They delivered more than 20 items, everything arrived hot, fresh, and delicious. Communication was super easy, even though our house can be a little tricky to find, and they were so accommodating when we needed to add to our order last minute. Everything turned out perfect, and our guests raved about the food.

No one would even attempt it until Jojo's Bakery nailed it on their first try. My wife loved them the taste and texture were perfect she said. I will be coming back here for more!”

The staff is not as friendly as many other locations; cordial but not engaging. It wasn’t a bad experience at all, but if you’re looking for service beyond the ordinary, this isn’t the place; its feel is more of a big-city Starbucks than a small-town coffee shop. On the positive side, I’ve never waited long for a drink here.”
