“We have gone here a few times and the food was good although today it came to us some of it warm and hash browns cold maybe it sat too long waiting for servers. What I noticed the servers were talking and walking around without paying attention to the food nor asking customers. Maybe they were told not to bother customers?
The servers are always nice but they need to check on customers as a few customers had to get up and ask for things. Just a tip when dropping off the food please go back and ask customers if they need other things and keep checking on them.
The service is slow and takes away from the good food and nice servers.“

“We are from “the beef capital” of Australia and discovered The Lion’s Share during SDCC 2023. My husband has very high standards when it comes to meat (his family owned a cattle property) and he could not fault a single dish. We tried camel sausage for the first time and were amazed at the flavor. Every dish was delicious, and make sure you try the brussel sprouts. A restaurant that specializes under exotic meats that can make brussel sprouts that delicious is doing something right! It is our must visit restaurant when we visit San Diego“

We ordered the Swiss & Shroom, Mac Daddy, garlic parmesan fries, and a Cookies & Cream shake, and everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The burgers were flavorful, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and the shake was amazing.

Ani made sure our order was accurate and checked in at the perfect times, making our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re visiting The Melt, ask for Ani — she truly elevates the experience!

So I was super happy.

But the thing that stood out the most was the quality of food and friendly service! Jo Jo did an excellent job and we will be back to try out the burgers! People who leave reviews that have nothing to do with the food or the experience there are snobby Karen's who don't understand what the review system is for. “I am late to reviewing and forgetting the servers name. She was from Maryland, and the reason we ordered more than just a pick me up coffee before the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Our server (delightful as can be and a great conversation partner) encouraged us to try the Spicy Calamari and Aquachile. It's not the best flavor pairings with coffee. So, stick with a bubbly libation when ordering these delightful dishes. The flavors, however, are divine. Fresh ingredients that remain high quality! We enjoyed a table overlooking the gardens and lucked into it without a reservation. Although, I recommend reserving in advance for optimal seating and table assurance.“
