“As someone raised on the east coast, I consider myself a decent critic of what makes a sandwich shop better than what you can make at home. Number one is bread that isn’t something that can be bought at your local grocery store. Check that box- I don’t know exactly how to categorize their sub roll but it’s crusty, chewy and all the things that mass produced bread can’t be. Number two is the prep of the ingredients- at home we can all put a lettuce leaf on a sandwich, but that just creates a barrier between bread/sauce/meat. Here it’s thinly sliced and perfectly married to the importance of sauce…which they also nail. All I can say is WELL DONE!“

“Every time I go to Constanso's it's a good experience. The only problem is when they're closed. I've been going there for at least 20 years when the owners were making your sandwich. Now the sons have taken over, still good sandwich s and a bit of humor!“

“I always walk by this place on my way to work ,but since it’s kind of unassuming, I never gave it a shot. Bad on me. I went the other day and ordered the chipotle chicken bowl…it was fantastic! Can’t wait to try other stuff out. The price is super affordable for the city and the service was very friendly. The guy gave behind the counter gave me a complimentary orange juice. I get a make your own turkey sandwich on sourdough and it's probably my favorite sandwich. The sourdough is so good - chewy and flavorful and a great crisp on our outside. Roasted turkey is perfect, not too salty, all fix-ins are fresh. It's everything I want a sandwich to be!

On top of this, the sandwich is huge. I eat a lot so it's great portion for me but if you don't eat as much, you'll get two gourmet sandwiches out of $15 which is pretty amazing.

Lastly, the people are just so nice. They are patient and kind and thoughtful. They make you feel right at home.

If I lived closer this would be a regular weekly if not many times a week spot for me!!“

“Five stars for Heroic Italian! The Polpette sandwich and spicy tomato soup combo is non-negotiable. The food was phenomenal—hot, fresh, and seriously flavorful. The soup has a creamy texture with a nice kick of spice, and the sandwich is packed with delicious meatballs, peppers, and sweet caramelized onions. It truly is a perfect lunch spot, and you can enjoy it all alongside their expert wine selection. Stop in for a great meal!“

I don’t know the first names, but I’ve been seeing their faces for years. I rediscovered this place about a year ago. Told my daughter about it. I’ve had many Sandwiches in the neighborhood and around the Bay area because I’m a native , but this is something so special about the sandwich they’ll do anything you want , warm it up , cut it in half that just makes it so perfect. I use light pesto on my sandwich w mayor and…. I like a little vinaigrette, kind of a taste, and I love their pastrami

I usually come here for their fresh salads, especially the garden and the petit di Pollo. This spot is perfect for enjoying high-quality food, and I love unwinding with a glass of wine in the cozy bar area during late afternoons or evenings. It does not have the grace of Flatiron in NY; and hence it relies on reputation of hosting a restaurant, Cafe Zoetrope, frequented by the great film director Coppola ; it’s a building that lives on the fame of another person. It’s a side show but at least it’s not an eye sore.“

I could have tried it then but I wanted my own full experience and to show support for this creation.
You ever had a Bahn Mi as big as a deli sandwich? You ever wanted bulgogi on your Bahn Mi?
When you first enter you’re welcomed with smiles and a good vibe. I would suggest pre ordering as there has to be a line at times. You’re hit with a menu board and tons of options both sandwiches and drinks.
I chose the Bulgogi Bahn Mi, sandwhich was huge! The beef was so tender and hefty. Guaranteed to fill you up . The pickled veggies were fresh and well flavored. The bread! Soft but has a light crunch.
Washed it all down with a Mango Green Tea Bobba. Not too sweet and also tasted fresh.

“Ordered the combo pork with pate,fancy pork,head cheese,ham,mayo,pickled carrot and onion. I also added jalapeño. The combination of the toasted bread and generous pate made the sandwich crunchy and moist. Meats and veggie were very tasty with the pickled carrots. Price is right and sandwich are very good. I will come back for more.“

Around 11 dollars for a good size sandwich. A deal, and a delicious lunch meal. A few stools to sit on in the windows, or take it to go.“
