“Place was great for the touristy Sausalito scene. Wondered in after lunch at Poggio (which was great) and had a couple scones and a brownie. The charred classic Blodgett oven on the way to the restroom says it all. These guys are legit.
We love Sausalito, didn’t mean to be negative but the bike across the bridge crowd can soil the vibe.“

“The chocolate mint cookie was very good. Slightly stressful purchasing process: long but quick line, we couldn't see their vegan options until we were at the pay counter with the cashier waiting for us, and and had to select and bag our choices from the cases on the spot if we didn't want to hold up the line. It was a Saturday afternoon. Maybe there are days when you actually have a chance to look for the 'vegan' label and evaluate your options.“

“I am Italian. We passed by here by chance in 2017 and apparently 8 years later we are still talking about it. A dive into the past and a focaccia to remember; a bit on the soft side compared to the way we have them where I am from. Packed with care.“

“The lady that owns the shop is so sweet and her service was amazing! The pineapple buns were still warm and very fresh. There’s also a huge variety of moon cakes to choose from! You can tell she takes pride in her business and everything is made with love.“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“i've gotten a few items from here, namely their cookies, scones, cakes, and crumbles. i love the flavor, though the texture of the cookies and cakes were too short/crumbly for my liking. The fruit scones were moist and chewy, which I quite liked :)“

“The pasteis de nata are very good in the morning. Later in the day they are less fresh. The pastry is very, very small though, smaller than at other local bakeries and smaller than they are in Portugal. For me, it doesn’t feel like good value for the price.“

“Pain au chocolat was phenomenal. Canele was mediocre. I had high expectations for a French bakery. Seasonal croissant seemed to be a berry crumble type double baked croissant. Tasty and fresh! Went on a weekday morning with no plans so the casual atmosphere and no line was nice and relaxing.
Their pate en croute assortment looked like art. Would’ve loved to try but hopefully another time.“

“I absolutely love this place—their cakes are fabulous! However, it would be great if they could stick to their posted hours. I arrived at 2:50 PM on a Wednesday, and there was a sign outside that said open (I’ve attached a photo). The cashier was inside but told me they were already closed, which was confusing. I used to stop by around this time every week after work, so it was disappointing. If they’re closing before 3 PM, it would really help to update the posted hours so customers know what to expect.“

“Without a doubt the best breakfast sandwiches on thee planet! I have referred a friend who said “it’s in a league of its own.” I will start with the buttery yet still flakey buttermilk biscuit. When you take a bite it’s just goes perfectly with the bacon and egg. It’s like a party in your mouth! They also have amazing blueberry & Apple cinnamon muffins that are unbelievably moist! The banana nut bread is just as fabulous. I can’t wait to go back and trie a scone. The best part is they also made fresh home made dog treats! So you can bring your friend along amd not feel bad eating your treats in front of him. While he looks droopy eyes. Your dog will love them too! We drive out from the eat bay(Pleasanton, ca) just to stop by!“

“Wow…just wow. Several of my friends recommended that I try out Loquat when I moved to San Francisco, and I can absolutely see why — it fully lives up to the hype with its outstanding pastries, great coffee, and amazing vibes. The pastries, to quote a French friend, “rival the ones available in Paris,” although I’m not sure what she’s comparing them to given everything is Mediterranean inspired.
For a savory treat, I adore their feta and eggplant boureka, which has a remarkably rich and flavorful filling encased in a buttery, flakey shell. It’s topped with a very generous helping of poppy seeds, so be prepared to have seeds in your teeth for the rest of the day, but it’s 100% worth it.
They have tons of amazing sweet treats, ranging from croissants to cakes, but their classic is the salted chocolate babka muffin. It is literally to die for — the bread is perfectly flaky, with just the right amount of butter to make it rich but not overwhelming. The dark chocolate is wonderful and not overly sweet, but any sugar is balanced out by the salt. Genuinely the only thing wrong with this is that I can’t have it every single day.
Beyond the classics, they also have a rotating set of seasonal items that are all wonderful. I overheard a server chatting with the table next to mine and describing a seasonal dish featuring a summer Italian hot pepper. She got the brunch version of the dish with full peppers, eggs, and bread, but they also have a pastry-fied version in the form of a boureka. Literally everything is outstanding, and I cannot wait to make my way back here!“

“Would have given 5 stars if not for the misleading name of the establishment. They should have, instead of using the word bakery, used the words pastry palace. Or something like that. When you go to a bakery and they don't have donuts, donut holes, or even apple fritters, then it is a sad day my friend.
For me, today is that day.“

“I bought a mini day pass and took the opportunity to ride around town today with my mom. We came out to Dinner Richmond specifically to grab some pork buns. There was a line when we arrived and another when we left, so this place is popular. The person in front of me actually came from Sacramento to stock up. She got 6 dozen buns in total, including roast pork, pineapple custard and green onion. She said she preordered the day before since she was getting so many. So, I had high expectations. I ordered 10 pineapple and roast pork buns and asked for 1 to be set aside so Mom and I could sample it in the store. It was delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of the other buns or else I may have gotten some more. Next time....
Note, price per bun varies and it's cash only.“

“I enjoy their delicate flavors and attention to detail. Ordering a cake was a breeze and every part of it was delicious! Yes, including the macarons and white chocolate signage. They make the best princess cake in the area. I had their mango cake as well, but I prefer it contrasted with the saltiness of a touch of cream cheese. Lovely local spot!“

“Stumbled on this spot and was seriously impressed. The Arabic food was incredible. It was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the California twist. Fresh ingredients, creative touches, and nothing felt heavy or overdone.
Every dish had its own personality, and everything I tried was just so good. You can tell they really know what they’re doing in the kitchen!“

“Be a hero to your friends. "Wow! Thanks for the (fill in insanely good pastry here)"
Be a champion to The City, combat SFs reputation by directing tourists walking by towards the tent.
Be a fiend to your pancreas. Look at all those pastries! Let me count my Weigh...screw it. Pastry cream is my friend.
Be greedy. Eat and eat and eat. And, what is that one? Can I have one of those too? Eat more. When only one pie is left, don't say "you can have it" to the next person in line...give them some credit, they wouldnt have said it either.
Be spoiled. Never eat a Frenchish dessert at anything less than a Michelin listed restaurant ever again.
Be obnoxious. Tell all your friends "this is okay, but I know this Fren...". Watch their eyes roll. Roll your own eyes at their lava cakes and sacher tortes.
Be cold. It's the outer Richmond / Land's End region. Brrrrrrr.
Be glad you read this review now. The French Riviera is calling, and aint no one getting any younger, you know.
Minus one star for errant golf balls landing in the chocolate mousse. Fore!
Vegetarian options: Lookout for the meatloaf mousse.
Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerant? Sorry.
Parking: So weird, it's the only place in the city with actual parking. Damn it, should have kept my mouth shut.
Kid-friendliness: Most kids are very friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the sidewalk, so yeah“

“I came in expecting something good, but everything I purchased was simply phenomenal.
The main event was the Black and White Cake, and let me tell you, it was an immediate highlight. The cake was incredibly moist, and the balance of dark and light frosting was spot-on, rich without being overly heavy or sweet.
If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. The staff were also super friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Five stars, hands down!“

“𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 ~ '𝖙𝖎𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕾𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖔𝖓 (Sunday edition/addition) Okay, this one is completely not my fault. Whenever I do my laundry (Hey! I only have enough clean underwear to last me a month or so.) on Balboa Street in my neighborhood early on a Sunday morning (gotta make sure I am done by 10:00am for any NFL games that might be watchable... "Go, Bills!" today), I will normally head on over to Butter Love Bakeshop, which is just four to five blocks away along Balboa from the two laundromats closest to me, to get one or two of their awe-some fresh-baked items (and sometimes a cuppa Coffee[1] if I had not already made some earlier at home in the morning). Anyway, back to the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊, this is a post about 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 (it sez so right in the d*rn title, after all). They always have some great baked goods from which to choose, and usually make them with whatever is seasonal, etc. If I do not see anything that completely catches my eye, I always get one of their Monkeybreads as a fall-back, which are very tasty all on their ownsome, anyway. However, this morning there were several good items that I had to make a decision which to get. I ended up going with a Pear Cuppie (they call 'em "Cuppies", but they are basically muffins) and an Apple-Cherry Scone. They also had an Ube Scone this morning, which I have had before, and knew to be very good, but Apple-Cherry always trumps Ube, Donald. When I ordered my Coffee, the lady at the front counter asked me if I wanted any cream or sugar with it. I gave her my normal rant, "Never ruin a good cuppa with cream and/or sugar!" to which I added jokingly, "... unless you happen to have any 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream to go with it." Well... the main baker-lady in the back overheard me and came out with a pastry cream bag-thingy and asked me if I would like some of the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream filling that she was just getting around to filling the weekend doughnut special with... (No she didn'!!!) Apparently, I had arrived too early that they did not have the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 doughnuts even prepared yet and in the front counter display case. So, of course, I not only took some of the offered 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream on top of my Coffee, but I also bought one of those doughnuts to enjoy later in the day. She even had to make it fresh-stuffed for me while I waited. Let's see Dunkin' Donuts do that kinda customer satisfaction! _____________________________ 1. They only have Mr. Espresso, which is a decent enough local Coffee. And they only offer it as regular Coffee only ~ black or with cream or sugar. No Lattes or Half-caff-caps here; it is a bakery, not some d*mn St*rbuckery joint. I forgot to ask what roast/blend they were pouring this morning, though. Mr. Espresso has their roastery over near Jack London Square. One of these days I really need to check out a mini-tour of their operations.“

“I came by this bakery yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I got the pineapple bun (no filling) and the paper wrapped sponge cake and both were exceptional...might be the best I've had in SF Chinatown. The pineapple bun and a thick outer layer which made for a nice crunch. It was sweet and buttery, which was the perfect topping to the fluffy warm bun. The sponge cake was very airy and melts in your mouth. It had a warm vanilla and eggy flavor, which I appreciated as other bakeries usually make them more plain.
The shop itself is nothing fancy and looks like your run of the mill Chinese bakery. The lady who helped me felt like she was rushing me and had a bit of an attitude, but that's a given coming to these kinda places. But, don't be discouraged, the food is worth it though!“

“My daughter had to pee. lol We were on our way to Muir Woods when I saw this donut shop. I ordered some donuts as we waited for the fam to go to the restroom. The young man behind the counter was kind and helpful. The donuts were sooooo good. They were fresh. The quality was exceptional. They are a more artisan version of Lamar’s. They have more variety of donuts than many shops. They even had gluten free and vegan choices. We had regular cake and risen donuts. . I lament that Bob’s isn’t found in our state. We will be returning to this area and we will be back to Bob’s. So happy that my daughter had to pee. 😂“

“I visited MV Baking Company after seeing great reviews and being in the area. The display featured a variety of tempting baked goods. I particularly enjoyed the lemon kouign amann, beignets filled with raspberry jam, cinnamon roll, pear croissant, and spinach and cheese croissant. I plan to try more items on my next visit. Although it's a small place, the quality of the baked goods reflects the baker's passion. If you intend to visit, it's best to go early; I arrived at 10 am on a Saturday and found many items are almost sold out.“

“We did not end up getting a cake from Revelry due to the small size of our party, but we’re very touched with Kirsten’s recommendation of other local businesses that would fit our needs.
