“Great place to hang out alone or with friends, or to get some work done on your laptop. Beautiful bay views, good coffee drinks and the staff is nice. There is some good wi-fi, too. I had the blueberry banana bread and it was very good! Highly recommend.“

“I first heard about this place because Zendaya once mentioned it as one of her favorite spots in the Bay Area. After visiting, I can definitely see why it’s so popular. The bakery was busy, the bread was fresh, pastries were still warm, and everything smelled amazing. Whenever I visit a new bakery, I always order a croissant because that’s my way of judging how good a bakery is. This time, I got the chocolate croissant and a carrot muffin. The chocolate croissant was good, but not the best I’ve had in the Bay. I wish it had been flakier, with more layers and a richer buttery flavor. The carrot muffin was okay too. My mom liked it, but it just wasn’t my favorite. That said, the prices are affordable, and it’s still a solid bakery overall. So, I’d still stop by if I were in the area.“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“This is the classic hole in the wall Chinese bakery. I grew up with Chinese bakeries like this in Chinatown of my youth. There's always a line out the door on the weekends. But then I was just so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the pork buns are. I literally grew up on pork buns growing up in Chinatown in New York City. These pork buns, From lung Fung bakery, give those pork buns to run for their money. It came back After devouring the pork buns, to try out the curry buns, which were even more delicious. Five stars all the way.“

“A delightful classic Chinatown bakery that looks like it hasn't changed in decades. They carry all the classics, though I'd recommend getting a cocktail bun (if you're lucky they'll still be warm from the oven). A few small stools and chairs inside, often with a bunch of old fellows sitting around talking. This place is great, don't change a thing ❤️“

“I am Italian. We passed by here by chance in 2017 and apparently 8 years later we are still talking about it. A dive into the past and a focaccia to remember; a bit on the soft side compared to the way we have them where I am from. Packed with care.“

“This gem in Financial District is a must-try. I bought a box of four pastel da nata of various flavors and each one was delicious: crunchy on the outside and melt-in-your mouth custard. Really delectable! The traditional, pistachio, Nutella, and caramel were all equally as great. Make sure to ask for a sprinkle of cinnamon to add to the tastiness of this Portuguese treats!“

“Day Moon gives off a hipster SF vibe. Love how they have the little breakfast sandwiches (frittata) $13 ready for purchase as well as other pastries. I'm not a fan of waiting. My black coffee $4.50 tasted fine. There was only one person ahead of me at 10am. Day Moon is an excellent way to start a lazy Sunday morning.“
“Service was great. The almond croissant was bussin. I had a fair share of almond croissants and this one takes it out of the ballpark! From soft texture to flavor to just the amount of filling, it was sooo good. I wished the bakery was closer so I could get it more frequent. However the plain croissant was unfortunately a let down and nothing to write home about.“

“Yum! A colleague brought in a selection of pastries from Maison Nico, and everything we tried was delicious. The croissant was especially good, flaky, buttery, and perfectly baked, and the bread was just as impressive. Overall, a great spot for high quality pastries, and definitely one I would go back to.“

“Finally decided to stop in to pick up lunch today and was very happy I did. We got the breakfast sandwich with sausage and the mushroom melt. Both sandwich on tasty aromatic English muffins (Rosemary for the mushroom, sun-dried tomatoes for the sausage.)
My first bite into the mushroom melt was a nice surprise as either the mushroom or the muffin spread had a sweet tangly flavor. The sausage breakfast sandwich was generously stacked with sausage and egg. Well worth an already reasonable price.
Excited to try the apple brioche we picked up for after dinner—the bakery’s owner, Jamieson Leadbetter, warmly instructed me on the best way to enjoy the pastry at home.“

“This is a bakery with a large Vietnamese section (banh mi) and sandwiches. The pastries we tried were fresh, buttery and flaky - perfect! The beef curry pastry was especially notable for its flavor. Service is prompt and friendly. The decor is nothing to write home about, but it doesn't matter since this is not a sit-down kind of place. No gluten free options available.“

“Everything I've ever had from here has been amazing, just scrumptious perfection. I used to live a block away and would go there more often, I've moved a bit further away now but returned today for lunch and sweet treats. The guava puff pastry I got today was sublime, the ganache brownie is my standby go-to, literally the best brownie I've ever had in my life. The soups are always exquisite. Just nice people, everything clean and fresh, a pleasant little community experience around the corner from where I grew up in my family home of 40 years. Coming to Patisserie on California always feels like coming home.“

“I love this co-op bakery, and I'm very happy that they have a selection of gluten free items that are often on the shelf next to each other. If you have Celiac Disease like me, that's music to your ears. As for the remaining items that are next to gluten full items, the gluten free items are at the end of the shelf allowing for selection of those items that have never been touched by gluten.“

“I was in the neighborhood and felt like treating myself, so when I came across Boho Petite, I decided to give it a try. Great decision! I am a huge fan of pistachio, and the pistachio entremet I had here is easily one of the best pistachio pastries I've ever eaten. The textures and flavors are perfectly balanced–a beautiful light mousse, a rich and gooey pistachio praline center, and a crunchy base layer. It is a stunning dessert that tastes just as incredible as it looks. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the Marina and looking for something special! One thing to note is that the options are limited, so don’t expect a large display case to peruse.“

“It was the perfect location to pick up a cake for my son's 18th birthday! Which is why we're were in San Francisco. The cases were full of some of the freshest & delicious looking French pastries, sourdough bread loaf varieties, cakes & cupcakes. We went with the strawberry cream. They even put a Happy Birthday message on it for him! The cake was delicious too boot!“
“This place is a little shop that sells excellent croissants and other pastries. They also have sandwiches. All of their food is fairly priced. The service was okay. They have limited indoor and outdoo seating. Over all the food is good. We will definitely be back to try new pastries and sandwiches.“

“𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 ~ '𝖙𝖎𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕾𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖔𝖓 (Sunday edition/addition) Okay, this one is completely not my fault. Whenever I do my laundry (Hey! I only have enough clean underwear to last me a month or so.) on Balboa Street in my neighborhood early on a Sunday morning (gotta make sure I am done by 10:00am for any NFL games that might be watchable... "Go, Bills!" today), I will normally head on over to Butter Love Bakeshop, which is just four to five blocks away along Balboa from the two laundromats closest to me, to get one or two of their awe-some fresh-baked items (and sometimes a cuppa Coffee[1] if I had not already made some earlier at home in the morning). Anyway, back to the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊, this is a post about 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 (it sez so right in the d*rn title, after all). They always have some great baked goods from which to choose, and usually make them with whatever is seasonal, etc. If I do not see anything that completely catches my eye, I always get one of their Monkeybreads as a fall-back, which are very tasty all on their ownsome, anyway. However, this morning there were several good items that I had to make a decision which to get. I ended up going with a Pear Cuppie (they call 'em "Cuppies", but they are basically muffins) and an Apple-Cherry Scone. They also had an Ube Scone this morning, which I have had before, and knew to be very good, but Apple-Cherry always trumps Ube, Donald. When I ordered my Coffee, the lady at the front counter asked me if I wanted any cream or sugar with it. I gave her my normal rant, "Never ruin a good cuppa with cream and/or sugar!" to which I added jokingly, "... unless you happen to have any 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream to go with it." Well... the main baker-lady in the back overheard me and came out with a pastry cream bag-thingy and asked me if I would like some of the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream filling that she was just getting around to filling the weekend doughnut special with... (No she didn'!!!) Apparently, I had arrived too early that they did not have the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 doughnuts even prepared yet and in the front counter display case. So, of course, I not only took some of the offered 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream on top of my Coffee, but I also bought one of those doughnuts to enjoy later in the day. She even had to make it fresh-stuffed for me while I waited. Let's see Dunkin' Donuts do that kinda customer satisfaction! _____________________________ 1. They only have Mr. Espresso, which is a decent enough local Coffee. And they only offer it as regular Coffee only ~ black or with cream or sugar. No Lattes or Half-caff-caps here; it is a bakery, not some d*mn St*rbuckery joint. I forgot to ask what roast/blend they were pouring this morning, though. Mr. Espresso has their roastery over near Jack London Square. One of these days I really need to check out a mini-tour of their operations.“

“Best dim sum at bargain prices. Outstanding authentic at less than one third the price of pricier restaurants at high end Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend and clearly local favorite. Long lines can be seen at peak times but line moves quickly. Can eat in or take out. Mostly self serve with tables for dine in. Will definitely come again during our visit at SF. They are NOT closed on Monday and Tuesday as suggested by Google map.“

“WOW the food is delicious. I never liked lamb before, but the lamb was to die for, it was so juicy and tender and flavorful - I added it on top of hummus and ate it with their warm pita bread. Also that was the best falafel I've ever had in my life, hands down -crispy and flavorful and NOT DRY. The pickles were amazing too. 10/10 will return.“

“Ordered a large order from Breadbelly and this is the way to do it -- getting to try so many of their amazing pastries! My friends and I loved the Kaya Bun (I feel like it's a must get), the Ube Tart, and Blueberry Croissant Tart. But honestly, we didn't have one bad thing.
Can't wait to go again soon and enjoy the outside seating at Clement Street on a sunny day.
Oh, and get the Karl the Fog cappucino! I'm usually not a sweet drink person, but it was the perfect balance of sweet mixed with the earl grey tea.“

“Came over for some pineapple buns and egg tarts. A word of caution pineapple buns here do use pork fat so be careful if you have dietary restrictions. Ended up getting the egg tarts, the egg white ones tastes much richer than the egg yolk ones which is surprising. Also got the soy milk and boy was it an expensive cup lol $5.5. Each egg tart was $3. Was it good? Yes. But not to the point of the price point I would say $2 for egg tart and $3.5/4 for the drink kinda good.“

“Stopped by Golden Hat Fortune Cookie and had a good time! The fortune cookies were fresh, crunchy, and way better than the ones that show up after takeout.
I was a little disappointed, though. My fortune promised I’d “come into unexpected wealth,” and I checked my bank account three times… still nothing. I even bought another cookie just to give fate a second chance. Nope.
Overall, it’s a fun stop with friendly people and tasty cookies. I’ll definitely be back—mainly to negotiate a better fortune next time.“

“We did not end up getting a cake from Revelry due to the small size of our party, but we’re very touched with Kirsten’s recommendation of other local businesses that would fit our needs. This is the kind of rare customer service that I appreciate, and that is a definite indicator of the quality and professionalism I would have gotten.“
