“I admit that I am a always skeptical about sushi places, but this place is surprised me.

My family order sushi from all of the options. I had to go for the Sashimi and Teriyaki Beef and Teriyaki Pork. All of the meet was outstanding! Really couldn't believe that I found this place on Google maps and the food didn't suck...Like others I been to.

Parking: Safe and reasonably lite.

Kid-friendliness: Have French fries and Udon noodles which my son likes.“

“The Japanese and Italian flavors mixed well and are to come back for. I stayed in the hotel where the restraunt was attached. In the area, with a focus of cocktails and table service for an upscale environment, it was delightful.

I love cocktails, and the servers were personable. Nothing pretentious. They focus on service and taste! Our food was excellent and the drinks were even better. It's a pleasant experience.“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

No exaggeration, my boyfriend and I haven’t stopped talking about this place since we visited last year. We’ll finally be back in town next month and are beyond excited to be dining with them again. The owner is the sweetest, most delightful human with an incredible story and the food/service is an unmatched experience. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a party in the most intimate sense. “We had an amazing experience here this evening. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing and chill. The simple artistic decor creates a serene atmosphere. The food is delicious. We especially loved the beef tartar, duck, miso cod, milk bread, and shirt rib. Sticky toffee pudding was rich, but somewhat delicate. Cocktails were well balanced. Everyone was extremely attentive and the attention to detail made the entire experience one to cherish. I highly recommend this place. It's tucked away, but worth the trip. Looking forward to our next visit!“

“Great Sushi and Ramen place on Hudson Yard, been here many times. I love their new ramen Shiromaru Classic, signature maki, Suram bowl and Omakase. Their staff very friendly, helpful, great recommendation. Special thanks to Cristian and all his team, fast service.

“Sushi Makoto was a very fresh experience. The selection of fish was standard but the other appetizers and dishes were unique. The vibe is awesome— with a little more intimacy than some other omakase spots in the city. As well, for the price point, the value here is great. I’ve paid more for less in the city and it feels like these days it’s hard to find “good” omakase for under $200 PP. Corkage fee is very reasonable, and their sake cooling decide is almost worth a visit in itself!

My only quarrel is that it took some time to get seated, for a reservation at 7, a lot of the guests from earlier were still dining and we weren’t sat until closer to 7:20. Which isn’t the end of the world, but something to perhaps note from a business side. Lastly, I would’ve liked to be offered more at the end of the meal instead of being given the cheque. Perhaps that’s standard protocol but it was not offered to us our evening there.

“A great menu with each dish and skewer perfectly cooked. Great char and amazing flavour from the grill. It would have been good to see a wider variety of skewers and accompaniments as they were mostly chicken and very simple.
I was a little disappointed that the meatball skewer was not served with an onsen egg.
The wonton soup was unique and had a silky texture. Loved how the menu finished with a comforting bowl of ramen and a smooth caramel purin.

“I found this restaurant early this year when I got off work one day, and I come to eat here EVERY week since then. No kidding, I love this place. The food is very authentic, the music here is always a happy surprise to my ear, price is very reasonable, and mostly importantly - I LOVE the owners here! I speaks a little bit of Korean so they were kinda shocked the first time I say hi to them in Korean. But even if you don't speak any of their language, they are always so freaking nice and kind!!! They have a lot of returning customers, they chat with everyone that comes in and treating others like their friends and family. They learned my name the second time I came, and now I have been coming here for about 3 month straight and they are seeing me as their little sister. I will keep visiting this place and bring my friends here too. I hope they are doing well and their business is growing. Much love,

“The food was generally salty. The first time I went, I ordered the eel rice bowl, but it was so salty that I thought I'd ruined my appetite after enjoying the other appetizers. The staff checked with me and said it was just salty that day. I got free ice cream instead. So today, I went for the hand rolls for the second time, and even the appetizers were a little salty. The hand rolls were delicious. The other dishes were fine, but they were a little salty. It wasn't just me; everyone I went with said the same thing.“

“I went because I saw this place on social media and the ayce/aycd was definitely worth it! They only had two kinds of sake for the aycd part but the yuzu sake was really tasty. The fish was quite fresh and overall not too bad. The only weird part was the fact that there was NO ONE else with us in the restaurant 🤣😭Otherwise, it was great! Delicious authentic yakitori with so many options it's hard to choose.
They also offer larger plates and smaller appetizers as well. I had their seafood okonomiyaki which was wonderful.
The drink menu is wonderful offering a good selection of Japanese beers, soju, and a very extensive and well crafted sake menu.
Also I was seated immediately despite dropping in at a prime time on a Friday evening.
The ambiance is very nice, well decorated with excellent choices in music that is not overly loud.
The staff were all lovely and very attentive as well. Truly top notch all around.

“This was our second visit to Noz Market. They never fail to impress and satisfy. The cuts of fish are large and wrap all the way around the rice. The nigiri are seasoned perfectly, skillfully and with precision. The chefs here truly practice the art of sushi. The two omakase options are reasonably priced, and you can add extra pieces at the end of the experience. My Japanese fiancée emphatically approves, which should tell you what you need to know about this restaurant. Not too difficult to make a reservation a few weeks ahead of time, but definitely make one in advance. We will most certainly return.“

“Best hidden gem in the city!
I had bookmarked this place over a year ago, and I finally decided to try it out for my 30th birthday. I’m so glad I did, I wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate anywhere else. After nearly three years of living in NYC, I can confidently say this was the best dining experience I’ve had (disclaimer: I’m a foodie lol).

The owners, Ari and her husband, Chef Atsushi Yokota, and the restaurant manager Daimu, go above and beyond to create an exceptional dining experience for every customers and you can truly feel their passion. The food was absolutely top notch. Chef Yokota holds incredibly high standards for every ingredient, sourcing them with care to ensure everything tastes like it’s straight from a top-tier restaurant in Japan.

The tempura was phenomenal, we savored every single piece.

“Service was very nice, prepared alternative for shellfish allergy. The chef was very cute, he seemed to really enjoy his work, and it was contagious. Food was delicious, one of my alternatives was a wagyu hand roll which was delicious. Presentation was amazing, the gold sprayed nigiri was a spectacular showing. There was also an engagement close by which was really cool, they had a firework show. Overall, I’d like to go again! Thank you to Eric and the chef whose name I didn’t catch.“

I would say their Modern Kaiseki is very good even compare to those you find in Tokyo or Osaka. Last, if you are into Sake, you have to try their pairing and the staff their are very knowledgeable on what they pick.“
