“Visited on Wednesday night to celebrate mine and my husbands wedding that day and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by lovely friendly staff. We were seated quickly and were introduced to our server. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was fantastic. We opted for the Korean bacon to start and we both had the butchers feast. Outstanding. The steak was beautiful and the dishes that came with it were amazing too. The short rib and egg soufflé were my favourite. “Went into the City to see Hell's Kitchen, the play written by Alicia Keyes (highly recommend this entertaining, lively play). So, when in NYC, Sparks is at the top of our list for dinner. Arrived at the restaurant a bit early so we had cocktails at the bar. A “perfect” Manhattan for me and a martini for my wife along with a great conversation with the bartender. We split a Caesar Salad (crisp, fresh, tasty), I had the Steak Frommage (plenty of delicious Roquefort cheese) and my wife had the Veal Chop (large and perfect) plus we split a large baked potato. Both meals were top notch and only eclipsed by the great service we received (attentive, friendly, and unhurried). Sure it's a pricey experience but well worth it and if you go there you will be anxious to return.“

“This was my 2nd visit. The 1st was my birthday in January where my waiter was exceptional. Yesterday upon leaving and to pay the bill, the manager said to me, 'Thank you for coming back." I'm stunned he remembered me. He then tells my waiter, "Bring her a birthday shot." I drank the shot, thanked them for the special treatment and departed. When my friend comes to visit next month, I will take her there.“

“Went at an off time so tables were easy to get. Despite off time the staff were as attentive as if it were a peak seating. The pasta dishes were very good but the sauces could’ve been thicker and more aggressively seasoned…I don’t want to say bland and watery because they weren’t but I expected more, especially from an item called “spicy” rigatoni considering the competition from others in the neighborhood. The setting is intimate and the vibe is local fancy nonna despite the massive glass windows overlooking a busy intersection opposite the SoHo Grande. Would definitely go again but would ask for punchier versions of the dishes.“

This fine establishment needs to change their bread selection which seemed like it was purchased from local grocery store. Even they changed the menu of the burger but it is still the same good burger which is more important. The waiters, know almost all of them, always nice.“

And the "speakeasy" feel to it wasn't too hipsterish or annoying. Staff was very attentive as well. However, the dessert was truly awful. I would go here again, but I would definitely skip dessert.“

“We took advantage of NYC restaurant week. Some in our party ordered from the standard menu. Benjamin's is a good destination restaurant for special occasions. Service is excellent and we were seated in a booth that gave us privacy for conversation. Food is outstanding, portions were generous and the menu is varied.“

Better to share a dessert with someone if you decide you must order a dessert. If it's bad, just send it back. With the prices they charge, diners should get some type of dessert on the House.“
