“This is the coolest tavern and listening room I’ve ever played after doing this for 40 years. Historic building with ‘good wood’’ and acoustics, sound system. Great ambience, friendly people and owners. It is very small and the band is definitely up close and personal, but that is part of its charm. Fortunately, Debbie Bixby does a great job of booking regional and sometimes national acts. Musicians love to play there.”

“I went to celebrate my birthday and the waiter Jesus Flores was an outstanding waiter, very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and suggestions. He was friendly and had an outgoing personality, I have been waited by other waiters at this location that were much slower (on a slow day) and took an act of Congress to wait or bring you anything. If you go ask for Jesus Flores (the other Jesus is not as friendly)”

“I don’t even know how to begin describing what a fantastic job Amedeo’s did catering our Kingwood High School Varsity Football banquet! Rhonda, the catering manager, worked closely with me on planning the menu and provided options to help us stay within our budget. She paid special attention to what I was looking for regarding the overall dining experience I wanted for our nearly 250 guests at the Nathaniel center. She asked for the banquet agenda and specifics on when, what and how we wanted the food service to be carried out throughout the course of the evening. She said to me during our planning, “We want to handle everything for you, so you can be guest at your own party.” And she and the staff did exactly that! Everything happened exactly on cue, with me not having to even think about it! It was just as she promised, and I was able to relax and enjoy the evening without a single worry! The staff was attentive and friendly to everyone and truly cared about making it a perfect dining experience for every single guest. They looked genuine happy to be there with us for this special night. The food was excellent and everything was hot and ready to serve exactly on time. I 100% recommend Amedeo’s catering. You will not be disappointed!”

“Overall I thought this place was pretty good. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food portions for the price were decent. The food wasn't over salty which is a big plus. There wasn't any room at the table where the chef cooks the food, which is a highlight and why we go to these places. It was about a 20-30 minute wait, which was a bummer. We opted to just sit at a booth. The only thing was the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked but I would definitely visit again.”

“Just my kind of spot to regularly visit. It has the Cheers vibe, where everyone knows your name deal. The wings are great and they have specials everyday! Kat is pleasant and Sean is too, I've had Kat be my bartender twice and she treats everyone with genuine hospitality and with a smile, she is knowledgeable and moves with ease in her element.
They have 33 televisions in the tavern, w of which are on the bar wall displaying specials and marketing and another showing the music ui.
This tavern serves the charcoal grilled Ribeye on Mondays and Wednesdays after 6pm and $4 drafts on Thursdays. They have so many more specials I don't even know them all, soon enough.”

The atmosphere was a bit drowned out by a Mexican food cart that was blasting their music close by but that is not the fault of this food cart. “Had an another great TexMex Dinner last night at Humble Chuy’s, as always. Store Manager Mark Wilson and Assistant Manager Jersey have taken the Humble Chuy’s to the next level. Whether they’re mingling, making sure everything is just right or back in the kitchen overseeing quality, consistant cooking, everything is always perfect! Nothing compares with Chuy’s authentic Southwestern American Mexican food including New Mexico cuisine’s influence, Hatch green chili salsa and green chili rice. Add to this their version of Tex-Mex, i.e. cheese enchiladas, queso, fajitas and most importantly their Chili con carne (Chuy’s Tex-Mex). Unlike some Mexican food restaurants, you won’t find free ice cream. Extra incentives (beyond their great food) aren’t necessary to lure you in and keep you coming back. If that’s not enough, Chuy’s is reasonably priced. You won’t pay steak house prices for their unique tasty cuisine, but you will get the best tasting food.”

I ordered a fajita quesadilla plate with a side of rice and hubby ordered a fajita torta. Everything was delish and made perfectly. The portions are big and not to mention, very generous with the meat. The rice was so good, it reminded me of my Grandmother’s in Mexico. The green salsa is bomb! The food is legit and I highly recommend it. If you’re in the Spring/Humble area, definitely check it out. We will be stopping by again.”

A young lady came from the back and offered a replacement drink but still no assistance with the clean up. should they have at least offered a mop instead of watching him do the job with paper napkins?”

“As an Asian buffet it’s what you want and expect. The selection is good, the food is hot & tasty (I always eat too much) and the place is clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. The price is reasonable - something like $13 for the lunch buffet - but be aware that if you pay the server with a $20 - they’re going to try to get you to let them keep the change in broken English (I have my doubts about their true lack of English ability - I suspect it might be an act). I generally let them have it because $20 all in for lunch isn’t terribly bad and it doesn’t hurt to be nice to someone.
The food is good, the place is clean and the people are nice. It’s one of our go-to’s for weekday lunch.”

“Wife and I were in the area and wanted to eat something different from the regular stuff we normally eat. I did a quick Google search and came across Queso Bonito. We saw that it was close and made the trip. Walked in and the place is pretty small. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us and asked to take our order. I ordered a beef fajita torta and my wife had a beef fajita Gordita. I also had an aqua Fresca de melon, which was pretty good by the way. The wait was a bit long but worth it. Food came to the table hot and smelled delicious. My torta was a good size and was really good. It had fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato and crema on it. It hit the spot. If we’re ever in the area again, I will definitely come back.

“The place is clean and decorated with flowers. Very pleasant atmosphere. Authentic. I ordered pho bo, it is good 8.5/10, which is good rate. May be it should fillied with more soup liquid for 7-9% more.

One interesting thing I noticed is that every table has foam hand sanitizer.

She then explained the entire menu to me and explained how making a bowl goes and even offered her favorite bowl which I got (spicy chicken teriyaki) which was amazing. She was very kind, patient and very informative of the menu. A guy came from the kitchen area and saw my Baylor University cap complimented it and we chatted for a bit about Baylor. I thought I was going to get some old cold food and to my surprise EVERYTHING!!!! was cooked fresh. Even with it being well past closing time everyone was very kind, welcoming and thanked me for coming in. I’m truly impressed and have found my new favorite place to eat.”

“I worked at a Schlotzsky’s for three years until I graduated high school, so I had a sandwich just about every day and never got tired of them. That was a whole lot of years ago, but I still love them and can’t pass up a Schlotzsky’s without stopping. I had never been to this one, which is conveniently located in the same building as a huge convenience store/gas station.
I ordered a turkey avocado on sourdough bread exactly as it comes, and y’all!! …it was beyond delicious!! I also got a bag of Schlotzsky’s brand Barbecue chips with a great tasting Dr Pepper and that entire meal was fantastic.
It was hard to pass up the Cinnabon cinnamon rolls behind the glass at the register, because they look beyond amazing, but I was completely full after my meal. I dined inside the restaurant, but they also have a drive-through if you prefer to grab and go.
I will stop here for a sandwich every single time I go to the airport. I highly recommend giving them a try if your in the area.
