“We had heard good things about Lallande and we were not disappointed. We ate at the bar which I would highly recommend. Our server was Nina and she made the evening fun. I had the salmon and my husband had the lamb chops. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. We also had the chicken pate which was so good. But the highlight for us was the carrot tarte. A must have, if you go.The owner Ann Marie was working in the kitchen keeping all the balls in the air, but she took time to visit with us and made us feel extra welcome. Do yourself a favor and dine at Lallande on Monroe St. Perhaps we'll see you there because we'll be back! Five stars.”
“Terrific dinner tonight with work colleagues. Delicious dishes and great service.”
“Fuki is our favorite hot pot! We live in Milwaukee but come out pretty frequently as it’s become our favorite restaurant. Anyone we bring agrees it’s fantastic - the crispy pork is what sets them apart. The broths are all flavorful, we love the spicy and the pork marrow broth. Meat is fresh, veggies are also always fresh, and they now offer kbbq as well which we haven’t tried since we’re always in the mood for soup. We hope this place stays busy for a very long time!”

“Everyone enjoyed the taste of their dish and would return to Madison again. The chicken Alfredo was creamy with a rich taste. We shared creamy artichoke dip. It was the best I've had.”
“This restaurant's best offerings are their American style maki sushi exploding with all kinds of fillings and toppings. The appetizers and other offerings are pretty basic. The nigiri was disappointing but as expected for this part of the country. The cocktail menu is interesting, but I haven't sampled much from it yet. The new decor is kitschy and over the top, but it imparts a fun, casual vibe if you just kind of relax and enjoy it. Some of the sushi plates had little orchid / flower sprays on them that were quite visually appealing.”

“Where to begin…I truly would give this whole experience more than 5 stars if I could. It was my sister and I’s first time dining here and let’s just say it more than exceeded expectations in every way possible. The customer service was over the top incredible with Kennedy as our server and Jenna too. The manager, Emily, stopped by and was amazing as well. They were all professional, catering to us, and genuinely warm and kind. The food was fantastic and over the top. And the vibes were immaculate. Run, don’t walk to the Harvey House. I can promise you won’t regret it!”
“Classic must try pizzeria. Absolutely delicious, they come up with great pie ideas and they are ALL hits. Their service is impeccable and their excellent cocktails give the experience the cherry on top . To add to that the prices are super reasonable. Great atmosphere, can't recommend this enough. It's become a go to return spot over the years, wether I go for a nice dinner with my partner, or getting "fancy" pizza and drinks with friends, this is the place to go.”
“It’s hard to make food a sexual experience but the Spicy Shrimp Po’ Boy f***** my face. Fuckin’ F**** a lot of places tone spice down for ‘general pop’ but this place gives it to you raw. If it says spicy it’s spicy but it also delivers a balance of flavor with heat. It was an explosion of awesome in my mouth. So, if you are looking to eat some delicious food while in Madison and need a foodgasm, visit Stadium Take Out you will have your mind blown.”
“This is a small restaurant that appears family-owned. They have a small staff so you might end up waiting a little bit longer than other places, but they work very hard and the food is very good. There are some very creative rolls on the menu, like the Wisconsin roll that I got. (Pictured) The portions are also generous for the price. Enough for me to fill up on one roll and soup and still take half the roll home.
They play jpop here, so it's not always the most relaxed or upscale vibe, but I liked that there were no tvs. So, it's probably a bit quieter for lunch. There were two families with kids when I was there, so it's a more lively sushi place with non-sushi options for kids, too. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for something a little different.”

“We had a wonderful dinner at Les Delicies de Awa!! The place is comfortable with bright art. Home made juices were all fresh and lovely. The whole Branzino was amazing and plantains the best Awa puts love in every dish and served each plate personally. We will be back !!”
“Amazingly fresh seafood and beautifully done steaks with equally great side dishes, large enough to share! Go early and take advantage of their fabulous happy hour drinks and apps. Always a good time and a local favorite. Top notch service as well. Recommend for a night out, date night or special occasion.”
“Good drinks menu but the food was so-so. Flavors unremarkable. No information on the menu for those who are lactose or gluten intolerant which is easy to flag on menus these days. And the random delivery of small plates, which was to be expected, could have been a little bit more even for our table of four. And worth letting us know, when we order, which dishes might take quite a bit longer to prepare and deliver. Nice ambiance and good lighting. 3/5.”
“After 29 years of living near Madison, we finally went for dinner last night. Everything was delicious- mocktail, bruschetta, both pasta dishes (mushroom truffle & sausage rigatoni), as well as the light, fluffy desserts (butterscotch pudding & cheesecake with rhubarb/strawberry compote). Super happy our waiter, James, sent us home with an extra baguette & recommended making French toast - which we did today! We’ll be back with friends and recommending to others!”
“My ex boyfriend took me here for my birthday once and I fell in love with it. The king salmon and the chocolate babka are amazing! 10/10”

“Best drive thru service I have ever had! The food was hot, fresh, and appeared as it did on the actual menu. This Burger King is by far the best one I have been to... I used to work for Burger King in Jefferson County back during college. I think the few Burger Kings that are left in Wisconsin could really learn something from this particular location.”
“Came in out of town and stayed next to this mcdonalds so I walked for a late night bite. A man tweaking out inside had me backed into a corner booth while I waited for my food. The manager got my food as fast as he could so I wouldn't get assaulted by the scary man tweaking. Thank you for the stories and the late dinner haha”
“I need to catch her name next time, but the curly haired girl who works over nights into mornings has never once gotten my order wrong. Maybe it’s just her &/or her with only one cook on shift, but she’s been nothing but very kind and attentive to customers. Normally, at all McDonald’s, I’ll have at least one thing missing. Doesn’t matter if it’s night shift or day shift because I expect that from McDonald’s knowing the corporation they are. I was just proofed wrong just by this one employee. this girl who works late nights into mornings has never gotten a single order of mine wrong. She’s taken my order about 10x times. Plus she is always kind. she could be having the worst night ever and nobody would know. Her customer service is just that amazing. Keep it up girl, you know who you are! I just came in 6/29 @ 4:15am for the #5 meal and an extra hash brown. Coming to you as a person and not a McDonald’s customer, you have so much potential. so take up the opportunity to learn more & do what you dream of doing. Never stop being great! :)”
“As a BTS fan I was so happy to see you promoting/advertising the BTS meal along with your lovely staff wearing the BTS/McDonalds tshirts. I will definitely be stopping by to grab more of the BTS meal!! Hopefully you will as have the BTS logo cups and nugget box’s as well?”

“Great experience…everything from the ambiance to the waitstaff to the drinks, appetizers, entree, desserts and coffee were amazing!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Dined here for lunch today and loved the vegan options! Menu is clearly marked so we didn’t have to modify anything, which was highly refreshing. Shout out to Living on the Veg sushi set and the crunch salad, both solid choices. Bright and welcoming interior, with equally welcoming staff! We will be back again and again. Take no shiitake🍄”
“First time stopping at the location Madison East. The lady that helped me get my order was SO NICE. I live 50 minutes away and the food was still hot and fresh tasting when I got home. Tasty crispy fries and yummy chicken. Will definitely be back to try more menu items!”
“Been going for years and now take my toddler once a week. I love walking in, everyone knowing us, sometimes getting our regular table (if we're early enough) and chatting with some of the other regulars. Prices are great, you get a ton of food and the staff is always friendly. Extra bonus they open early for my early riser toddler!!”
“I have been a regular patron at Sushi Express for about 4 years now. I describe this place as a place to get “4 star sushi for 1 star prices”. Their menu is extensive, with many creative rolls, and their 2-roll or 3-roll specials are hard to beat price wise. My personal favorite is the Lake City Roll. The wait staff are always friendly, and I can only recall one time where I waited more than 10 minutes for my sushi rolls. I’ve also ordered delivery from here many times. I once waited over an hour for an order, and they gave me a $10 store credit upon realizing my GrubHub order didn’t go through entirely. Like any restaurant, these folks are human and 99% of the time you’re going to get great sushi with great, friendly service at a price that won’t break the bank. More cities need a Sushi Express like this one in Madison, WI. 5/5 stars for their delivery service and 6/5 stars dine in. HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone that wants great sushi but doesn’t want to break the bank.”
“My partner and I were by Batch Bakehouse yesterday and are new to the area, so decided to stop in. It was the end of the day, so immediately the employees were apologetic about the "limited amount of items available". There were PLENTY of items available and every one of them was absolutely delicious. We were able to try their butterscotch chocolate chip bars, salted caramel brownies, and two of their cupcake flavors. We are typically not dessert people, but absolutely cannot wait to return, due to the unparalleled baked goods and the exceptional customer service! I wish I had gotten the names of the people who helped us, so whoever was there at 1 PM yesterday thank you!!”
“Everything was phenomenal, my family and I were very pleased! We tried the catfish appetizers, as well as the cheesecurds and fried pickles….all delicious!! Brisket was absolutely delicious as well as the pulled pork! We will definitely be back when we’re in Madison! Our fave place now”
“We recently had the pleasure of dining at AmarPeru today, marking my first experience with Peruvian cuisine, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck us as both elegant and inviting. The decor was sophisticated, setting the perfect tone for a delightful meal. Upon our arrival, the executive chef greeted us with a warm smile, which immediately made us feel welcomed. With our excitement, we dove into the menu and decided to sample a variety of dishes: lomo saltado, paella, ceviche mixto, truffle yuca fries, and anticucho. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing just the right balance of flavors. We savored every bite, feeling completely satisfied yet still we left a room for dessert. We chose to indulge in alfajores, arroz con leche, and pisco tres leches. She even has us try the passion fruit juice and one of their specialty dessert. Desserts were the perfect ending to our meal, the ideal balance of sweetness and texture that we wanted. Overall, our experience at AmarPeru was fantastic! We left feeling full and happy, already planning our return to explore more of their culinary offerings. It was a wonderful opportunity to immerse ourselves in a different culture's cuisine, and I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended for anyone looking to try something new and delicious. Thank you to the chef and the entire team for crafting such a delicious meal. 🫶”
“I LOVE Teasider. Their bulk matcha is high quality and a great start to every morning. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, always helpful in their recommendations. Today I was recommended the Sobacha (Japanese buckwheat) for a warm and cozy afternoon. The vibes inside are great, and I appreciate a laptop-free space.”

“This is an amazing place to try! I have been coming here and bring guest to try all the time. I recommend Phing alla ( savory crepe), any thaali (rice platter; also very fun to eat) and mango lassi! Any of the momo. I like veg momo with green jhol. Their stir-fry noodle is made in-house so you cannot go wrong with that. Also best drink to drink with momo or stir-fry is cold Coco-cola!”
“This cafe has many delicious options for food. It however does not have celiac safe options. The cross contamination is too high. They do note this if you call them by stating that they can't guarantee there isn't. But I would not eat here if you have celiacs because I did twice and it made me incredibly sick. Again the food in my opinion is delicious, it just isn't celiacs safe.”
“The best sandwiches I’ve found in madison. Chill atmosphere, incredible food. Probably the best meatball sub I’ve ever had. All I wanted today was a sandwich and couldn’t have prepared for the absolute beauty that was placed in front of me, quite quickly I might add. Check this place out or you’re absolutely missing out!”

Always a good time and a local favorite. Top notch service as well. Recommend for a night out, date night or special occasion.”
“They are fantastic, nice servers, really nice sushi for quite an extraordinary price. They are also really nice to babies and kids so dont be afraid to bring your kids to try sushi.”

“I wish I had taken this photos of the food before I dug in. Delicious chilequiles, and even better ranchos huervos. The food is extremely fresh and flavorful. It's a unique take on something I've seen in every form, but they get it right with little surprises in every bite. Do yourself a favor and get the orange juice. The fresh sweetness really helps stabilize the slight spice and heaviness of the food.”
“Absolutely terrific Tibetan Cuisine! In an atmosphere that is gentle and respectful. I live three hours away, was lucky to find it, and I guarantee I will be back! It doesn’t look romantic, but as I can attest from observing the couples enjoy their food, it is, from a culinary point of view, a romantic experience. Heck, I was alone and I felt the vibe!”
“One of my favorite foods is pastys, I was excited to learn about this place, otherwise you would find them normal in the u.p area of Wisconsin. All of the varieties are great! Had the chicken tikka masala one today, was awesome! I do like they wrap it in foil, because my 40min drive home it's still warm!”
“Fantastic authentic Korean food, and super nice folks. I go there every time I visit Madison.”

“We had an amazing experience at DelecTable on Friday. All 11 courses were interesting and perfectly executed. A great meal and a lot of fun.”
“My granddaughter and I was touring downtown Madison about two weeks ago, we came across D’Vino as we walked. The special for the day was crab cake and green fried tomatoes, of course we went in to order. The food was amazing. My granddaughter love the atmosphere of the restaurant and so did I .She order a pizza that was the best she ever had. The food was so good, even the water was great. We will be back!”
“Y'all.…. this place is out of this world!! Everything from the wine, appetizers, entrée desserts and coffee are just phenomenal!! Do not pass this place up! I love the line of this chef… The way the music goes, that’s the we dance! And that’s exactly what this place is all about. Everyone loves this place! Tony Bennet and famous athletes from all over - including Reggie Bush!”
“Love the charming European Grand Cafe vibes. An abundance of outdoor seating is available. Our server was very attentive and had great recommendations for drinks and food. One of the smoothest bloodys I have had. Food was absolutely delicious! What a great spot for brunch and enjoying a view of Madison.”
“Very good tasty food with a nice variety and presentation and atmosphere”
“my favorite place in Madison. service is always so friendly. I loved this place even when they were at the old location. I am so happy they have been so popular and recognized in the new location; they absolutely deserve it.”
“Best Sour beers I’ve ever had.”
“Good drinks menu but the food was so-so. Flavors unremarkable. No information on the menu for those who are lactose or gluten intolerant which is easy to flag on menus these days. “This place is a gem of a restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks are all 10/10. One of the only places in Madison I have seen tofu skins so that alone got me in the door. A lot of the small plates are vegetarian/vegan. Everything we have tried in our two visits there has been excellent - potstickers, green beans, tofu skins, scallion pancakes. They have specials that also sound great. Service on a busy night is a little slow, as can be expected. Would recommend a reservation as they are not a huge place and fill up quickly. Highly recommend having a meal here!”
“We were visiting Madison for a business trip. Kelly at Morgan's shoes suggested we go here for oysters. We had the most amazing dinner, oysters on the half shell and wrapped it up with an unbelievably good coffee and date ice cream 😋 Our experience was so good we decided to go back a second night! Oysters and dinner were fantastic! Too full for dessert Such a beautiful location, great service and delicious food. Highly recommend 👌”
“Great selection and fun location! Love their diverse collection of pinball machines.”
“We had an amazing meal here and the atmosphere for catching the game was perfect! Highly recommend Prost!”
“Delicious Halal food in an unpretentious space. We had the grilled peach salad, beet salad, beef kebab and baklava. Also got the hot tea with ginger, mint and honey. The hummus is great, the service is kind and competent and the food is aromatic, fresh and healthy. Will return soon.”
“They have very good food but the staff makes peanuts and is hungry for tips. I usually try to tip 20-25%. However one time when I got the bill it was way more than I had expected and I didn't have the funds to leave a tip. I felt really bad. To top it off I was told if I couldn’t tip better. don't come back. I instead of 2 drinks costing $13.00.(like the other businesses on the block)The bill was $21. I would have been leaving at least $5, but now I couldn’t. I feel the staff is a bunch of snooty college students, living off their rich parents dime.”
“Had an amazing night out at Johnnys. Our waiter Ryan was attentive, kind and so accommodating. He truly made our dinner experience the best. Great recommendations and super friendly. Johnnys is lucky to have him for sure! Delicious food and great cocktails. Will be back soon!”
“Amongst the plethora of options of State St restaurants SGD doesn't stand out in appearance but make no mistake, they stand out in the most important way. Their food. And the packed restaurant is testament to how good it is. They serve a good variety of different foods and the three dishes we had were outstanding. Their side dishes were plentiful and delicious, and their staff were easy going and attentive. If your looking for delectable Korean food you can't go wrong eating here.”
“My favorite go to when I’m in town! Drinks and eats are the best!”
“Lovely spot near the terrace. Cocktails are a bit strong but overall the flavors are fantastic. I'm always impressed by the chef's selection and rotating menus. I've never been disappointed here.”
“I'm so glad a decent Korean bbq place has finally opened in Madison! We tried this a few months back and was really happy with the meat, side dishes and pancake selection. Definitely worth the money.”
“It took a lot of waiting and hoping to get a reservation, but it was so worth it. The chef and team are wonderful, warm and charismatic. The servers are knowledgeable and welcoming. The food was incredible and the camaraderie of sharing a table with others was a joy in connection and commiseration, as we were all painfully full by the end. I’ve never had so much fun throughout a meal. We can’t hardly wait to go back.”
“Ive been going to the Bonfyre for years and I really love the place. For the past year it has been infested with gnats or fruit flies or whatever they are. . You cant take a sip or a bite without waving them away. Its annoying as hell and gross. Its not a one time thing, I go there often and its not getting better. This afternoon I stopped in for a couple of beers and some calamari appetizer. I love their calamari! I used to, today I got a massive plate of breaded bread. And swatted flies away the entire time. I'm not giving up on Bonfyre but if they cant fix the bug problem soon I'm done. I stopped by Badger Tavern before going to Bonfyre, the parking lot was packed as was the entire street so went to Bonfyre. Bonfyre was pretty empty. The atmosphere at Bonfyre should and could be a 5 star...get rid of your bug problem!”
“Had a wonderful dinner post-marathon here. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Great recommendations on their wine list, and our server also had great suggestions on apps and salads. Loved the wood fired Pizza!”
“We had a wonderful experience and such a lovely evening the first time we spontaneously sat at the bar and had a bite before a show at the Orpheum. The atmosphere is warm, charming and cozy. We were excited to come back tonight. Again we loved sitting at the bar. The service is excellent and the restaurant/bar are very obviously well managed. Staff exhibit a lot of attention to service. We ordered drinks and shared an entree/chicken Marsala. It was good, a little salty and I was disappointed that the sauce was not lighter and not served over a bed of pasta. When we received our bill, we were shocked that the J Henry old fashion my husband orders at restaurants all over Wisconsin was $26. 😱 we get that there is an up-charge for premium booze but seemed a little ridiculous for Wisconsin. The regular old fashioned w/ Bullet is $14. There was a $12 up-charge for J Henry. Overall, we had a good experience and will be back and recommend. I told my husband he can settle for the Bullet Old fashion next time. 😜 Incidentally, the Old Fashion was VG.”
“Hanging out with friends. We shared many things on the menu. Loved all of it!”
“Their sides are so tasty, even the most devoted carnivores might be caught sneaking a forkful.”
“El Pollo Rumbero is a fantastic spot for enjoying authentic Colombian cuisine. The vibrant atmosphere makes it perfect for gatherings with friends. Their menu boasts a delightful array of dishes that capture the rich flavors of Colombia. Don't miss out on their expertly crafted cocktails, which pair wonderfully with the food. Whether you're a fan of traditional Colombian dishes or looking to try something new, El Pollo Rumbero won't disappoint. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!”
“My favorite place to bring people when they visit town. Incredible food, no frills. I'm a big fan of the communal aspect of ordering a bunch of small plates for the table and sharing them. Not much seating so make a reservation if you can. If you can make it for happy hour it's kind of a ridiculous deal. Head across the street for the arcade bar afterwards.
Update 11/6/25:
They nerfed the happy hour 😞 Instead of all happy hour items half off, they now hover around 25% off (depends on the item). Still a nice deal, but far less value. To be fair, the previous happy hour was kind of an absurd deal. Still recommend!”
“We thought this place was a gem! The bartender Jon was able to make a Ramos gin fizz and hit it out of the park!”
“What an incredible experience! Everything from the drinks, food, service and atmosphere was amazing. We cannot wait to come back again. Gabe was an incredible server - personable, knowledgeable, funny, and had the best timing (he just knew when we needed another cocktail). I cannot recommend this place enough!”
“College visit with the daughter and we dined here with friends on Saturday 28th Sept and being originally from the UK, and seeing the fish and chips were haddock (not cod) I immediately had to have them and they were the best fish and chips this side of the “pond” having put up with 12 years of “just ok” fish and chips, these were amazing. Not only were the fish and chips good, but every dish was a winner. I am now praying my daughter gets into the college as I will be a regular here.”
“Took my daughter to this 60’s inspired cocktail style restaurant, to celebrate her birthday. We both agree that the overall vibe was sensational. The staff was amazing with our waitress being kind and courteous, as well as prompt with service. The menu is rather eclectic with various options, so there is something for everyone. The design of the place is thoughtful with the music matching the vibe. I am excited to see what the future holds for Lola's!”
“A top-tier steakhouse with a gourmet menu and pairing options for wine selections.”
“Delicious food, good drinks, and a great service. One of my favorite places for Sunday brunch. Highly recommend!”
“Great spot—friendly vibes and good beer! Zak hosts the best trivia night in town by a mile. 50+ original, well-crafted questions every time, it blows the typical league trivia out of the water.”
“We had a wonderful meal on Wednesday, with our server, Annie, making everything exceptional. I'm sure we will be going back soon.”
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! My husband and I had a great date night. Fabulous meal, service and atmosphere.”
“Great steak, even better lobster mac & cheese, which was so delightful after a long day. But I’m telling you whatever you do… Do not let them talk you into getting the A2 steak sauce. They convinced me A2 was better than A1 sauce, it’s not, and then they charged me for it. Beware.”
“Ordered some JBC coffee based on some positive reviews. Exceptional and unique flavors. I’m now a customer for life!”
“Some of the best food in town! We love the garlic naan, and always have at least one dish that blows us away. Friendly staff and great flavors. Would recommend to anyone in town!”
“La mejor comodida colombiana en Madison Wisconsin…. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 excelente atención y buenos precios 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴😍😍😍”
“The best around for that price!! So, so, good and so very affordable! Just do it! You won’t regret it!”
“Best breakfast buffet for a hotel. Not free though. Nice workers. Nice decor. Inside the Doubletree Hotel so very convenient.”
“My favorite sushi restaurant in Madison! Quality grade sushi and an excellent staff. Sushi chefs are friendly and thoughtful, staff remembers regulars and take great care of customers. Omekase menu option for a high end experience.”
“Great food, great service, nice patio, and some really good beers. Dog friendly on the patio. Highly recommend.”
“Don't normally give reviews but felt it was nessessary. Been coming here since the 80's, this was the first time being disappointed. Food was great as usual, wait staff on the other hand, not so much. Was looking forward to the liver dumpling soup just to find out they didn't or no longer have it.”
“Needed someplace to eat while waiting for my wedding to happen in Madison. Settle down was close by I walked there. I was not disappointed, the special which was I think all the chicken butter burger was phasing and the soup was as well. Reasonable price Add to my places to eat when in town list”
“We stopped in for lunch. The servers were very attentive and polite. It was our first time here and they explained everything. The food was great and they had many choices. I would recommend!”
“Enjoyed the lunch buffet today for the first time. Food is delicious and well-priced. Plenty of meat and vegetarian options. Best Indian food on Madison’s west side. Would definitely go back.”
“Kelly carried her hospitality above and beyond. I have never been here before and she was sure to engage in detailed conversation while giving exceptional service. Matt was also an amazing man to meet and sociable with our group!! Definitely recommend visiting for a quick drink or a good while! :)”
“Surprising authentic dishes, coming from a Peruvian American familiar with Peruvian cuisine coast to coast.
First tip would be to train servers in pushing easily digestible meals to first timers. If you’ve never eaten Peruvian I’d start the convo with opening your mind and then your stomach to new but flavorful foods. Pictures could help too!
Lomo was a little sweet but tasted home cooked which I enjoyed. Causa acechivada was delicious. Chaufa cecina was great. Pisco sours on point. Homemade chicha was so good, I’m used to the gross packet tasting kind! Alfajores had real manjar blanco OMG! I hope this place gets more business because they’re serving real authentic quality cuisine! Servers were awesome but not well versed in the dishes, get the girls to eat a different dish and ask about the foods pre shift. Portions are enough for dinner and lunch the next day Peruvian style :) As Peruvian cuisine becomes more renowned the pricing made my pockets and tummy happy ;)
Gracias ☺️”
“Always delicious food and great beer at Starkweather. Looking forward to all of the great winter events as it starts to get cold and dark!!”
“For starters, we were treated to an excellent show comprised of two of the best bluesmen in the Midwest, Westside Andy & Glenn Davis. The food was amazing and service was prompt and courteous. I’ve been a restauranteur for over 40 years. Otto’s knocked it out of the park. We will most definitely be returning.”
“The Weary Traveler was a nice little joint we found during our recent vacation in Madison Wisconsin. It had a menu of sandwiches as well as other assorted main courses. I started with an appetizer of a Wisconsin Meat And Cheese platter which came with an assortment of artisan meats and cheeses as well as some crostinis. There was also some mustard and preserves as well. This was all really delicious with the bleu cheese being my personal favourite. I tried fome baked buffalo wings for my main course which were fairly large and had decent flavour. Not the greatest wings I've ever had but quite good all the same. My wife really loved her Rueben sandwich as well. The decor was really unique and the service was excellent. It definitely fed these weary travelers quite well.”
“Went there for a birthday celebration. Haven't been there in a while. Everything was pretty good except all 5 people who ordered steak all had overdone steaks. Not great when your a steak house. Flavor was great. Just overdone all the way around.”
“Cool cocktail bar upstairs in the King Street area. Overall great vibe and really extensive listing of cocktails to choose from each with a thoughtful and interesting twist.”
“This was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had since before COVID. The service was absolutely exceptional—from the moment we walked in the door to the last bite of dessert. Every detail was thoughtful: friendly greetings, perfectly timed check-ins, and spot-on food recommendations. You can truly feel the passion and pride this team puts into their work. And that was just the service! The food was beyond incredible. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and asked for it spicy—and they nailed it. The balance of flavor and heat was perfection. Every bite was rich, authentic, and unforgettable. A thousand out of ten—highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back soon.”

“Ordered my usual dine-in as a to-go tonight. There was a minor confusion on the staff's part...not sure why, the guy was fluent in English and Spanish. Anyway, it was quickly sorted out. The food was excellent, as always! Never hesitate to eat here, or get a to-go from here!!!”
“A neighborhood stop -- super casual -- not for you if you want high-falootin' white glove service but definitely for you if you want great food at a fair price. We recommend the rib dinner or the fried chicken dinner -- served with Mac and cheese and cornbread. Ribs were meaty, fried chicken served hot and tasty. Diners on the way out also raved about the rib tips. Lots of cooking skills going on back in the kitchen. Friendly service. We'll be back”

“I was in there yesterday evening (7/29/2022) with my husband and father around 7 pm. Our waitress made a few mistakes in our service. But what meant something to me is that she apologized. She could easily have avoided us. Management had already stepped in. But she didn’t. It took courage to come back to us and say she was sorry. I probably didn’t show it at the time, but I really appreciated that. It showed a great deal of poise and courage.”
“👩🦳I love the unlimited biscuits and gravy, and the unlimited corn muffins. The ambiance with the fire and the lanterns on the tables is delightful. It's also nice being able to shop and look around after or before dining. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for old fashion experience. 💙💚”
“First time stopping at the location Madison East. The lady that helped me get my order was SO NICE. I live 50 minutes away and the food was still hot and fresh tasting when I got home. Tasty crispy fries and yummy chicken. Will definitely be back to try more menu items!”
“Sooo delicious and authentic. I had the arepas and a pabellon wrap which was sooo good. The dressing on the Caesar salad was top notch. Our server, Mathias, was so friendly, knowledgeable and help led us through the menu. I wish you had a location in Hudson wi.”

“You must come here!!! What an experience.
I love creative drinks and eats, I do it as often as I can. I would say I have a refined palette from cooking and eating high end meals myself.
The bar is gorgeous, the restrooms are clean and nice. The DRINKS! The quality of the liquor, the mixes, the garnishes. I can’t say enough good things. We came back to this bar twice because we couldn’t get enough. The drinks are strong so one was plenty for both us.
We both ended up getting NA cocktails just so we could keep trying the drinks when we were out our limit for drinks.
Please come and try. You should sit at the bar to see these drinks get created.”
“I just relocated from Houston to Madison and this is probably the best beef noodle soup I’ve ever had. Houston has a ton of authentic and delicious food from all around the world, but nothing I’ve had has come close. I never leave reviews, but based on the service alone I had to recommend this to strangers on the internet. If you are new to or visiting Madison, this place is a must try!!!”
