“I’ve only tried the pork sandwich and was totally blown away. The meat was flavourful and juicy. The bread was like a croiffle. Super flaky and crispy. The sandwich is a must try but I’ll be coming back to try some of their noodle dishes.“

“This food stall is located in Yaohan Center and saw a youtuber eat here so came to try it. Ordered their pork spareribs (they called it pork chop?) and chicken claypot rice. It takes around 15-20 mins to make as they do this fresh so it comes out piping hot even if you wait for it to cool down after 1/2 hour. You also get to choose level of spicyness which I thought was interesting (we ordered mild).
They give you the claypot with soup, soy sauce and pickled veggies. Everything was good and especially the scorched rice at the bottom of the inside pot. My only minor complaint was the pork spareribs had a lot of cartilage and were smaller pieces so a lot of chewing was required. Will come back again to try their noodle dishes.“
“She can't cook! She makes bland food with no salt and most of it is not prepared properly for the best flavor and it doesn't look appetizing. Some of it undercooked. She is a lazy cook that tries to stuff everything into one pan instead of making it the right way. It doesn't hurt to use an extra pan. Also most of her ingredients are not fresh. They are either frozen or from a box or can all slopped together and stuffed in a crock pot. Everthing can't be made in a crock pot. She tries to cut too many corners, using powdered garlic or jarlick instead of taking time to cut real garlic, things like that. She should stick to making arts and crafts displays instead. She is better at that.“
“- family run business - was highly recommended to this place and only ate there after the 2nd visit as lineup was too long - a food court place with just a few eateries in the Admiralty centre in Richmond - famed for wonton noodle , hainan chicken rice and hk style milk tea and iced lemon tea - there’s also crispy Chinese donut (油炸鬼&牛俐蘇) in the next stall - wonton noodle was crisp, springy and not soft and mushy and good size of wonton wrapped in shrimp and pork ) soup based was commendable - chicken is tender and the portion fairly sized - hainan chicken can be ordered in a set with rice , Chinese green - combination sets range from $11 with a drink - deep fried crisp fish skin is also a must try - was told that family sometime closes for trips - only stall in there with a lineup - very reasonably priced - we bought the deep fried fish skin home for the rest of the family to try and it was still tasty and crisp in the evening“

“Unbeatable value. I ordered a set menu meal for 4, and it ended up being cheaper per person than a fast food joint. I ended up taking the leftovers home and it took several days to finish everything. The food is unapologetic Sichuanese home cooking, spicy and delicious. Nothing fancy, nor it needs to be. I especially enjoyed the cumin lamb and the spicy braised fish. The decor of the restaurant is ancient and the bathroom is small and dimly lit, but that could all be forgiven considering the price and quality of the food. Be aware that this restaurant only accepts cash or e-transfer. They do not accept Visa nor MasterCard.“

“Huge portions. Good prices , sign on the board is what you pay incl. taxes.
It was quite fast despite being really busy. I prefer takeout from here as the seating for the food court is usually packed.
This time tried the chicken nuggets + rice set meal this came with veggies ,egg and tofu for $14. Chicken is always really fresh , hot and crispy.
Like most stalls it is cash only ( or wechat/ alipay I think ). Sometimes they also have offers / coupons through Fantuan app even for pickup.“

“Late Post: an extravagant dinner but without the luxury features, vibe, decor or background music.
The outside of the restaurant seems a bit sketchy at first and the inside has an odd layout. They were previously located on Park Road years ago, now a block away in a senior only residential building and still using the same fixtures, tables and chairs but it is clean.
Quiet run down, but the dishes was delicious if you're after old school authentic flavours and back to basic to enjoy classic food this a place to be.
New location is a hidden gem that you can't see from the outside, but it's busy for down to earth Cantonese dinner, as menu less fancy and extensive compared to newer establishments. Many items you do need to pre-order though, sue to concept of simplicity.
I must say their steamed fish was really good, because havent enjoyed one just so perfectly cooked in a while. Their portion sizes and temperature of dishes is something to rave about too. Everything was cooked, seasoned and presented nicely. Just don't know why they didn't offer any fried rice when ordered the king crab.
You can bring your own wine at dinner for a corkage fee, but parking is limited in the garage.
However, IMO their dim sum lunch not as good.
Update: Golden Paramount Seafood Restaurant has received several awards, including being a winner of the Hennessy The Elite 10 Awards (Metro Vancouver) and having its chef, May Chau Siu-May, named Master Chef of the Year at the 2024 Chinese Restaurant Awards. The restaurant was recently also included in the 2025 Elite 30 list of the Chinese Restaurant Awards.
They are well known for their Pork Lung with Almond Soup that has great clean flavours with a lovely balance between sweet meatiness and slightly bitter nuttiness a result of careful slow cooking. This soup sells out regularly each night.“

“I mainly go there for their 麻辣火鍋.
I also purchase their麻辣火鍋 package sauce for home and gift.
The quality of their food are just average nothing stand out.
The restaurant is inside the shopping mall. it's located on the second floor, facing the street corner.
They are right above HMart.
If this is the first time that you are going to the restaurant. It's kinda hard to find. Go to information center and ask the lady for directions.“

“Spicy Pro Hot Pot 8542 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6P 4Z7 Spicy Pro Hot Pot brings a unique and thoroughly enjoyable new dining experience to our neighborhood of Marpole. The aroma of the soup bases wafting from the modest storefront will stop you in your tracks and draw you inside. After choosing from a wide array of ingredients to add to one of three delicious soup bases, you can relax and enjoy the fun and cozy ambiance while the kitchen prepares your dish. When it arrives at your table in a generously large and elegant serving bowl you will immediately notice the care with which it has been assembled. Presentation is not lacking here and the money is being spent in the right place: the kitchen! I and my partner are not light eaters, and we come away stuffed and blissed-out for less than $50. The staff provide patient and thoughtful assistance to new customers choosing their ingredients and spice level for the first time. We love spicy food and usually order things hot, but the mild level is just right for us here.“

“The xiao long bao is very good. Nice and big, very juicy and nicely seasoned and not porky tasting. This small food court stall is making some of the best dumplings around. The pan fried dumplings were also tasty and juicy and the won ton soup was packed with wonton. Service is sooo friendly and welcoming. Worth trying to find this place upstairs in this food court near rice world. They sell out of the pan fried buns so don't go too late!“

“A few days ago, I went sea fishing and ended up at this restaurant. We asked them to prepare our seafood. The lady boss's impeccable service was the epitome of quality service! It was the first time I'd experienced genuinely friendly service in Canada! On our third day back in Winnipeg, I still couldn't forget the first three pickles: the crispy, sweet and sour cucumber, the shredded potatoes fragrant with chili oil, and the radish. The subtle salty and sweet flavors, combined with the slightly spicy and refreshing aroma, were simply perfect!
Both methods of preparing Dungeness crab are perfect, bringing out different flavors while retaining the sweetness of the crab meat. It's really great!!! As a food lover, I really hope there is a restaurant like this in Winnipeg!“
“We were here on a rainy Monday afternoon, and it was great that we didn’t need to wait to be seated. There is complimentary fruit dices and sunflower seeds while we were waiting. We ordered rabbit and chicken offals, and both of them were super numbing and spicy, and of course, tasty. The waiter was super attentive, get clean plates and add water before we even asked. Sadly we drove all the way from Calgary here and we can’t come and eat often, but definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes authentic Szechuan food!“

“Drama Hotpot Richmond is my new comfort spot!
Their slogan says it all — “Life is drama, pot is hot.” And honestly, when life feels chaotic, this is the perfect place to eat your stress away. The ingredients are always fresh, the broth is rich and flavourful, and everything cooks perfectly.
Don’t skip their deep-fried section — the wings and sausages are a must-try and pair so well with the hotpot. Portions are generous and you can taste the quality in every bite.
The staff are friendly, fast, and always make sure you’re taken care of. The whole place just feels cozy and comforting, like a warm reset button after a long day.

“The logo looks like a deli/meat store but it’s actually part of a chain. I haven’t tried the others (all a bit different) but this one came highly recommended by our foodie friends. Food: 5/5 - They have 12 must-order dishes including a fried eggplant 🍆 which was SO GOOD. A blast of flavour including spicy, savoury, sweet, and herb-y🌿? It was lightly fried and not too oily. Basically I loved it. Our second dish was not from the must-try only because I’m a huge sucker for sour-spicy clear noodles of any type. Although it was not as good as my favourite version of this dish from the Aberdeen food court (Sichuan style) HOWEVER Richie could actually eat this one because it wasn’t as spicy haha🔥. Essentially a “lighter” version but still packed with flavour. It came on a hard-to-reach, raised bowl but I think that’s easy enough to tweak. The restaurant is still new and feeling things out. Our last dish was an omu-rice mapo tofu (lol) and Richie loved it, “It hits the right flavour in every way - not too salty, not too spicy, great tangy-ness, a little oily but immensely appetizing.” The manager said that they make the chili oil and spices from scratch. Prior to our visit we also tried their “sauce duck” or 酱鸭 which is a “thick” soy sauce, sweet duck (think Cantonese/HK roasted duck but sweet) which might not be for everyone but it’s interesting and worth trying if you like food that’s both sweet and salty. There’s also a Nanjing salted duck that we’ll try next time😊. Service: 4/5 - There was only one server aside from the manager today but both were wonderful at checking in and very quick to react to our needs. It’s also the first weekend of “dining-in” again so I wouldn’t hold it against them. Price: $$ - They have a good mix of affordable and fancy choices alike. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - My only complaint is that it’s a too bright inside (I think mood is very important) and I’m not sure what they want to be. It’s not exactly fine dining nor is it casual, nor fun/hip. But the food is good enough that it doesn’t matter. I think we will enjoying coming here and slowing trying everything. #richmondeats #vancityeats“

“The soup broth here is delicious and high quality tasting. We tried the pork rib and the century egg and cilantro broth and both had plenty of ingredients and rich flavour. Would recommend getting the sauce bar option for $3.99 more as it includes fruit, some sides like edamame and pickled radish, as well as the sauces. They have complimentary hair ties that are very thin but work. Wish they had ayce all the time but it’s only limited hours and when we went, it was a la carte. It’s still pretty good but not as amazing as Hai di Lao in terms of a la carte hot pot.“
“I was so surprised and very happy with how good everything was! the person at the front helped me so much with all my questions and explained which to get. I ended up with the beef mushroom and because I got the large, I got an egg. There was so much food I had to save it for the next day! Next time I come, I’ll be getting the curry beef as that looked just as good!“

“Very special place built with North-east China style no matter the renovation or food menu - Iron Pot Stew(鐵鍋燉).
A over 700 mm/24 inches diameter big iron pot stay in the central of the table for all people to share the big stew, which is the unique culture from North East China.
Each fresh cook dishes provided more ingredients than other Chinese restaurants which is very North East. In mandarin, people said 這很東北(this is very North East) which means really authentic North East China tradition.
Also the price is really fair for budget and quality, tested very good with high quality.
When you order any kind of side dish for the Iron Pot Stew, servers come to serve you as the video shown.
No matter you are Chinese want have some authentic North East Chinese cuisine, or anyone have interest to enjoy those huge Iron Pot Stew, here will be your best option.“

“🍲 Hao’s Lamb Restaurant
👉🏻 A fantastic spot for authentic northern Chinese-style lamb dishes! The food is flavorful, rich, and perfectly cooked. “Most people come to this shopping center for HK BBQ Master, but we came specifically for Paul's Kitchen AND it was very authentic HK style breakfast cuisine. We only had our credit cards and I asked the person at the cash register if they take credit card, she said nope but there is an ATM upstairs at the Superstore. We went upstairs to grab some cash from the ATM out front.
When we got back downstairs, the lady in charge already had reserved a table for us and immediately explained to us what is served during the breakfast hours. She gave us a few recommendations and we went with the wonton with brisket as they ran out of fish balls and the HK Style Grilled Beef with Black Peppercorn Sauce.
Both items were marvelously well made, the peppercorn sauce is EXACTLY how its done in HK and all major cities with a huge HK population. But the winner is the wonton. By golly, I have had hundreds of bowls of wonton, I have made hundreds of wonton dumplings for my family's business but this one really stands out amongst all of them.
The service is efficient and very friendly and they greeted so many regular customers with kind words asking about their work and family. I felt like I was entering into a HK neighborhood corner cafe.

“Food 4/5: it’s rare to find a good All You Can Eat (AYCE) place in the lower mainland at $17.99 per adult! There’s a good variety of Chinese food. Some of the food options are mild-to-medium spicy by Canadian standards. There are also non-spicy options.
First you pay, then you’re give a stainless steel plate. You had it to the server and tell them what you want. If you paid for AYCE, then you bring the same plate back for more.
Service: You grab your own free tea and water. When you’re done, you leave your plate at the table.
Atmosphere: it was about half full when we went on Saturday during lunch with a mix of families, couples and individuals.“

“I highly recommend this place. Typical hole in the wall, with very nice contemporary ambience. A few tables in a room with very pretty drawings and doodling on the walls. The menus are in Chinese but the guy at the counter speaks English and volunteers to help you order. His claim is that “no other place in Vancouver offers authentic Chinese food like he does”. I believe him. The food was not oily, veges delicately cut and cooked, not too much sauce, delicate flavours intertwined with perfect cooking of the meats. Rice is on the house. Loved every single dish we ordered. I actually haven’t eaten such good Chinese food anywhere except at a colleagues house back in China. And that’s why the food is so good; it’ll remind u of home cooked food in China.“

“Had dinner at Xiangchuan Mansion in Richmond and was really impressed with the food. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, well-balanced, and had that perfect level of spiciness that brings out the aroma without overwhelming the palate. The flavors work beautifully with rice — rich, layered, and truly satisfying.
The presentation of the dishes was also great; everything came out looking appetizing and neatly plated. The dining environment is clean, modern, and comfortable — a good place to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or family.
Service-wise, the staff were polite and efficient. Nothing particularly outstanding, but everything ran smoothly, and the food came out in good timing. The real highlight here is definitely the food — authentic, delicious, and consistent across the board. I’d happily come back again for another meal.“

“I recently visited Good Nine Korean BBQ, and everything was totally worth it . All the meats I tried were super juicy and fresh. I went there for the pork belly, but I enjoyed the galbi more.
