“The yummiest tofu & always consistently fresh & delicious!!! I’ve been coming to this establishment forever! Love ❤️ coming here while in Richmond! This place has been 20 years running, never close !!!! Love your dishes!“
“She can't cook! She makes bland food with no salt and most of it is not prepared properly for the best flavor and it doesn't look appetizing. Some of it undercooked. She is a lazy cook that tries to stuff everything into one pan instead of making it the right way. It doesn't hurt to use an extra pan. Also most of her ingredients are not fresh. They are either frozen or from a box or can all slopped together and stuffed in a crock pot. Everthing can't be made in a crock pot. She tries to cut too many corners, using powdered garlic or jarlick instead of taking time to cut real garlic, things like that. She should stick to making arts and crafts displays instead. She is better at that.“

“- family run business - was highly recommended to this place and only ate there after the 2nd visit as lineup was too long - a food court place with just a few eateries in the Admiralty centre in Richmond - famed for wonton noodle , hainan chicken rice and hk style milk tea and iced lemon tea - there’s also crispy Chinese donut (油炸鬼&牛俐蘇) in the next stall - wonton noodle was crisp, springy and not soft and mushy and good size of wonton wrapped in shrimp and pork ) soup based was commendable - chicken is tender and the portion fairly sized - hainan chicken can be ordered in a set with rice , Chinese green - combination sets range from $11 with a drink - deep fried crisp fish skin is also a must try - was told that family sometime closes for trips - only stall in there with a lineup - very reasonably priced - we bought the deep fried fish skin home for the rest of the family to try and it was still tasty and crisp in the evening“

“Unbeatable value. I ordered a set menu meal for 4, and it ended up being cheaper per person than a fast food joint. I ended up taking the leftovers home and it took several days to finish everything. The food is unapologetic Sichuanese home cooking, spicy and delicious. Nothing fancy, nor it needs to be. I especially enjoyed the cumin lamb and the spicy braised fish. The decor of the restaurant is ancient and the bathroom is small and dimly lit, but that could all be forgiven considering the price and quality of the food. Be aware that this restaurant only accepts cash or e-transfer. They do not accept Visa nor MasterCard.“

“I mainly go there for their 麻辣火鍋.
I also purchase their麻辣火鍋 package sauce for home and gift.
The quality of their food are just average nothing stand out.
The restaurant is inside the shopping mall. it's located on the second floor, facing the street corner.
They are right above HMart.
If this is the first time that you are going to the restaurant. It's kinda hard to find. Go to information center and ask the lady for directions.“

“Spicy Pro Hot Pot 8542 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6P 4Z7 Spicy Pro Hot Pot brings a unique and thoroughly enjoyable new dining experience to our neighborhood of Marpole. The aroma of the soup bases wafting from the modest storefront will stop you in your tracks and draw you inside. After choosing from a wide array of ingredients to add to one of three delicious soup bases, you can relax and enjoy the fun and cozy ambiance while the kitchen prepares your dish. When it arrives at your table in a generously large and elegant serving bowl you will immediately notice the care with which it has been assembled. Presentation is not lacking here and the money is being spent in the right place: the kitchen! I and my partner are not light eaters, and we come away stuffed and blissed-out for less than $50. The staff provide patient and thoughtful assistance to new customers choosing their ingredients and spice level for the first time. We love spicy food and usually order things hot, but the mild level is just right for us here.“

“Huge portions. Good prices , sign on the board is what you pay incl. taxes.
It was quite fast despite being really busy. I prefer takeout from here as the seating for the food court is usually packed.
This time tried the chicken nuggets + rice set meal this came with veggies ,egg and tofu for $14. Chicken is always really fresh , hot and crispy.
Like most stalls it is cash only ( or wechat/ alipay I think ). Sometimes they also have offers / coupons through Fantuan app even for pickup.“

“The soup broth here is delicious and high quality tasting. We tried the pork rib and the century egg and cilantro broth and both had plenty of ingredients and rich flavour. Would recommend getting the sauce bar option for $3.99 more as it includes fruit, some sides like edamame and pickled radish, as well as the sauces. They have complimentary hair ties that are very thin but work. Wish they had ayce all the time but it’s only limited hours and when we went, it was a la carte. It’s still pretty good but not as amazing as Hai di Lao in terms of a la carte hot pot.“

“The dry pots were very flavourful and the udon noodles also taste great!
The food is on the pricier side, however, and they have this rule where you have to pay by cash if your order is below $50, so either bring cash or prepare to artificially beef up your order to reach $50. Also, the wait times can be quite long.“
“Really homey Shanghainese small eats!
Had the pan fried dumplings (thicc juicy boys) and wonton soup.
Dumplings were really juicy, somewhat deep fried (think shengjian buns), but lots of juicy pork filling.
Wontons were super homey and classic with a savoury shrimp peel, seaweed and ginger broth. All for $15!
Mouth-watering chicken is more like drunken spicy chicken. Tender but I think I prefer the Sichuan/Xian version.
Great daily specials all for about $15, will come back for pan-fried buns shengjian as they were sold out near closing.
Owners are also super friendly and nice ✨“

“It is actually good value to order half a Hainanese chicken combo, including oil white rice and a broth on the side. It is big enough for 2 people. I will definitely come back.
Their service is fast. At lunch rush, Empire Centre food court is a busy place. So, even the vendor prepares your food fast, you may still need to be patient to locate a table.“

“Seafood was very fresh definitely one of the freshest! Though, the rice can be slightly more seasoned with soy sauce and a bit of dark soy sauce, and scallops can use a bit more steamed fish soy sauce as well for better flavor while retaining its freshness (like the ones I had in Hong Kong).
Services was very efficient, Asian-level efficiency for sure.“

“The logo looks like a deli/meat store but it’s actually part of a chain. I haven’t tried the others (all a bit different) but this one came highly recommended by our foodie friends. Food: 5/5 - They have 12 must-order dishes including a fried eggplant 🍆 which was SO GOOD. A blast of flavour including spicy, savoury, sweet, and herb-y🌿? It was lightly fried and not too oily. Basically I loved it. Our second dish was not from the must-try only because I’m a huge sucker for sour-spicy clear noodles of any type. Although it was not as good as my favourite version of this dish from the Aberdeen food court (Sichuan style) HOWEVER Richie could actually eat this one because it wasn’t as spicy haha🔥. Essentially a “lighter” version but still packed with flavour. It came on a hard-to-reach, raised bowl but I think that’s easy enough to tweak. The restaurant is still new and feeling things out. Our last dish was an omu-rice mapo tofu (lol) and Richie loved it, “It hits the right flavour in every way - not too salty, not too spicy, great tangy-ness, a little oily but immensely appetizing.” The manager said that they make the chili oil and spices from scratch. Prior to our visit we also tried their “sauce duck” or 酱鸭 which is a “thick” soy sauce, sweet duck (think Cantonese/HK roasted duck but sweet) which might not be for everyone but it’s interesting and worth trying if you like food that’s both sweet and salty. There’s also a Nanjing salted duck that we’ll try next time😊. Service: 4/5 - There was only one server aside from the manager today but both were wonderful at checking in and very quick to react to our needs. It’s also the first weekend of “dining-in” again so I wouldn’t hold it against them. Price: $$ - They have a good mix of affordable and fancy choices alike. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - My only complaint is that it’s a too bright inside (I think mood is very important) and I’m not sure what they want to be. It’s not exactly fine dining nor is it casual, nor fun/hip. But the food is good enough that it doesn’t matter. I think we will enjoying coming here and slowing trying everything. #richmondeats #vancityeats“

“Google review shows 4.1 for this place. Joke? lol. Where I came from, this is very authentic Suzhou / Shanghai cuisine. At par with those high quality restaurants in Shanghai. “Nothing beats a big, fragrant, and spicy pot of classic Sichuan Boiled Fish with Intestine on a cold, rainy day. The fish was fresh and snappy, the intestine pieces were juicy as well. The authentic, fiery flavour makes you forget all about the wet, damp weather outside. Their signature dessert of Cold Sweet Rice Cake is heavenly. Covered in a delectable sweet syrup, the rice cake is smooth and creamy. Overall, their food is on the pricey side, but it was delicious. I really appreciate the restaurant for opening late during the holidays as well. Parking is free on premise.“

“This is a traditional northern style Chinese restaurant, specializing in Lamb of all different types of cuts and preparations, including skewers in hot pots and stirfry and so on. If like me, you’re more accustomed with southern style cooking or even Szechuan style cooking. This style of cooking will definitely be new to you. There are many dishes. I ate this night that I’ve not seen or experienced elsewhere. The food was amazing and delicious hot and fresh. The service was attentive. The restaurant itself has a large public seating area as well as many many private rooms. Parking is a bit of an issue as the parking lot seems to be full all the time for some reason but value for money is good. We’ll definitely come again.“

“Good Nine in Richmond is hands-down one of the best Korean BBQ experiences we’ve had. From the moment we sat down, the banchan set the tone, each small dish was bursting with flavor, and the standout was their sour kimchi specially prepared for grilling, which you rarely see around here.
The meats were impeccably fresh and tender, from the thinly sliced brisket to the pork belly. Every cut we ordered sizzled beautifully on the grill and delivered on that perfect balance of char and juiciness.
Service at Good Nine is both fast and friendly, with staff who keep the grill going and the plates coming. We’ll definitely be back for more!“

“Stumbled upon this place at 8231 Ackroyd Road after a friend’s recommendation, and wow, what a gem! Their cheap breakfast is honestly such a steal—simple, filling, and super tasty. Came back for lunch, and let me tell you, the锅包肉 was next-level good—crispy outside, tender inside, and that sweet-tangy sauce? Chef’s kiss. The friendly staff made the whole experience even better; they’re so warm and welcoming. Plus, the outdoor patio is perfect for chilling with a group. Amazing service, food, ambiance, and great pricing! Definitely a must-visit spot in Richmond BC.“

“Most people come to this shopping center for HK BBQ Master, but we came specifically for Paul's Kitchen AND it was very authentic HK style breakfast cuisine. We only had our credit cards and I asked the person at the cash register if they take credit card, she said nope but there is an ATM upstairs at the Superstore. We went upstairs to grab some cash from the ATM out front.
When we got back downstairs, the lady in charge already had reserved a table for us and immediately explained to us what is served during the breakfast hours. She gave us a few recommendations and we went with the wonton with brisket as they ran out of fish balls and the HK Style Grilled Beef with Black Peppercorn Sauce.
Both items were marvelously well made, the peppercorn sauce is EXACTLY how its done in HK and all major cities with a huge HK population. But the winner is the wonton. By golly, I have had hundreds of bowls of wonton, I have made hundreds of wonton dumplings for my family's business but this one really stands out amongst all of them.
The service is efficient and very friendly and they greeted so many regular customers with kind words asking about their work and family. I felt like I was entering into a HK neighborhood corner cafe.

“Most people here are not all there: something usually means something in their imagination. It's their culture, they think their perception is universal, don't know what a reflection of my own reality means, and don't think it's rude to assume. Not all that surprising since Michelin guide never came here.“
“Some phenomenal skewers! They have a massive selection for their skewers, and their appetizers and desserts are all delicious too. Though the proportion size is a little small for the price, they all taste great! The parking is convenient to come by, and there're some bubble tea places nearby if it was too spicy for you haha. I highly recommend their spam skewers :)
Parking: Easy to come by.“

“2025.08.05 Came here on a mission to find out how good their wonton is. Ordered under noodle soup 1. Wonton & Shui Kau, Combo A Scallion Oil Pork Chop Rice with hot drink, Chinese Broccoli with Garlic Oil.
The pork chop was rather bland, the scallion oil makes it tasty but there was very little of that. The Chinese broccoli with garlic oil was rather mild tasting, having it with oyster sauce would have tasted better. It also was the most expensive dish at CAD 23.50. Ask how much before ordering.
The Wonton & Shui Kau was really good tasting at CAD 14.95, flavorful broth, wonton, Shui Kau, rich in flavor, texture, taste. The dining area were old tables and chairs with air conditioning. Payment is cash or Canadian debit card.“

“What a truly spectacular dinner! Our alumnae association's day of recollection concluded with the perfect finale, thanks to the fabulous food and impeccable service at Fisherman’s Terrace in Richmond's Aberdeen Centre. A special thanks goes to the maître d', Simon, for curating an unforgettable menu and his assistant, Susana, for expertly handling the seating arrangements for our party of nearly 60.
The meal was a journey of delightful surprises, starting with the Peking duck appetizer that had our U.S. guests convinced it was the highlight of the night. But each subsequent dish somehow raised the bar even higher. The lobster noodle dish was outstanding, and the fried chicken was a revelation—who knew it could be such a special dish?
Our server, Candy, also deserves a special mention. She was incredibly efficient, handling our large group with remarkable calm and courtesy. Her unflappable service was a key part of what made the evening so seamless.
We left feeling grateful for a truly memorable experience and a fitting end to a day that fed both the body and the spirit.“

“Stop by for some quality rice rolls!
We got the shrimp rice roll ($9) and truffle seafood rice roll ($14). The rice rolls are perfectly thin but bouncy, not easily something you can find elsewhere. This is a different style from the rice rolls at dim sum, where the filling is wrapped inside the rice roll. Definitely don’t skip the soy sauce and hot sauce on top as the sauces make the rice rolls 🤌“

“Small group of 3, at 5 pm on a Saturday; was seated immediately & informed that chef's house special soya chicken was ready for serving, so we agreed to try. The chicken was perfectly done, smooth in texture & tasty with lightly sweetened soya sauce ... Even tasted a hint of alcohol in the marinade.
The beef w greens: beef was fried & tender, gai lan was thin stalked & perfect amt of fresh crunch.
Also ordered fettuccine w prawns, cheese & bacon.
Noodles served al dented, was also tasty.
Also ordered duck egg yolk king prawns -- very delicious!!
Complimentary house soup was also delicious.
First time in a long time, to see most wait staff happy, workg as a team, adept at consistently greeting both new & frequent customers alike.
Makes for a very enjoyable, positive experience.
We even returned for breakfast, the next morning around 9 am and sampled their Italian omelette (A) and (B) satay noodles with included HK coffee/tea combo for $15.50. Also experienced attentive service by many serving staff. Leave happy & well fed!“

“In the evening, Qin asked two friends on her left to have dinner. The friends told me to go to the restaurant. It was my first time to go. If you don’t have expectations, you won’t be disappointed. It’s OK! Shiluo has a surprise! I called the left lamb belly pot + 3 side dishes set menu. The lamb belly pot and Kyoto pork chop were delicious. Since the other two dishes were not what I ordered, I thought it was passable! The frozen lemon tea is so-so! The lamb brisket should be served slowly! The waiters have great attitudes! “Hainanese chicken & rice is perfectly done. The beef brisket noodle is simple and tasty.

“Food 4/5: it’s rare to find a good All You Can Eat (AYCE) place in the lower mainland at $17.99 per adult! There’s a good variety of Chinese food. Some of the food options are mild-to-medium spicy by Canadian standards. There are also non-spicy options.
First you pay, then you’re give a stainless steel plate. You had it to the server and tell them what you want. If you paid for AYCE, then you bring the same plate back for more.
Service: You grab your own free tea and water. When you’re done, you leave your plate at the table.
Atmosphere: it was about half full when we went on Saturday during lunch with a mix of families, couples and individuals.“
