“- family run business - was highly recommended to this place and only ate there after the 2nd visit as lineup was too long - a food court place with just a few eateries in the Admiralty centre in Richmond - famed for wonton noodle , hainan chicken rice and hk style milk tea and iced lemon tea - there’s also crispy Chinese donut (油炸鬼&牛俐蘇) in the next stall - wonton noodle was crisp, springy and not soft and mushy and good size of wonton wrapped in shrimp and pork ) soup based was commendable - chicken is tender and the portion fairly sized - hainan chicken can be ordered in a set with rice , Chinese green - combination sets range from $11 with a drink - deep fried crisp fish skin is also a must try - was told that family sometime closes for trips - only stall in there with a lineup - very reasonably priced - we bought the deep fried fish skin home for the rest of the family to try and it was still tasty and crisp in the evening“
“Her recipes are a joke. She uses pre packaged crap that is full of sugar, fat, salt, etc. for everything she makes. She does ridiculous stuff for content & comments because her cooking skills are sub par & juvenile. If anyone is looking for cooking tips or recipes THIS IS NOT THE PAGE TO GO TO. This woman couldn't cook her way out of a paper bag.“

“Last night had a 👅 tongue numbing dinner at 一品川菜 at your typical Richmond establishment, cash only and medicore service. Their dishes had just enough pungency and spiciness from the liberal use of bold and flavorful chili peppers.
You can taste salty, sour, sweet, bitter, smoky, etc... nothing fancy here and don't expect much except yummy food“

“Bright and modern looking decor with good service. They've got meat skewers you cook in the hotpot that's very unique in BC. Food and hotpot broth quality is good, low msg, especially the pork bone broth. Overall a fun hotpot place, especially if you are already in Aberdeen Center.“

“Spicy Pro Hot Pot 8542 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6P 4Z7 Spicy Pro Hot Pot brings a unique and thoroughly enjoyable new dining experience to our neighborhood of Marpole. The aroma of the soup bases wafting from the modest storefront will stop you in your tracks and draw you inside. After choosing from a wide array of ingredients to add to one of three delicious soup bases, you can relax and enjoy the fun and cozy ambiance while the kitchen prepares your dish. When it arrives at your table in a generously large and elegant serving bowl you will immediately notice the care with which it has been assembled. Presentation is not lacking here and the money is being spent in the right place: the kitchen! I and my partner are not light eaters, and we come away stuffed and blissed-out for less than $50. The staff provide patient and thoughtful assistance to new customers choosing their ingredients and spice level for the first time. We love spicy food and usually order things hot, but the mild level is just right for us here.“

“Food court style Taiwanese takeout. Food was quite good, but had to wait 35minutes for my order. People ordering after me got their food, ate, and left before I received mine. Told it’s coming , I’m next , over and over. Line ups to order was also long. Been here before and usually ended up waiting and waiting.
Parking: Parking in the lot was very difficult, lots of parking available but even more cars waiting. Parkade is available but very tight turns.“

“Absolutely loved this hot pot restaurant! The ingredients were super fresh, especially the thinly sliced beef and seafood. The broth had a rich, flavorful base – we tried both the spicy and mushroom options and they were amazing. The dipping sauces were customizable and really brought everything together.
The service was excellent – staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to refill the soup or bring more ingredients. The environment was clean, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing dinner with friends.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic and satisfying hot pot. Will definitely come back!“

“Nous venons du Québec, et pendant les vacances de Noël, j'ai voyagé en Colombie-Britannique avec les membres de ma famille, en appréciant la nourriture chinoise épicée à Richmond, un excellent service et un environnement harmonieux, une nourriture savoureuse, bien que notre anglais ne soit pas très bon, ils sont très amicaux pour nous servir, nous l'apprécions, en tout cas c'est restaurant incroyable.“

“I had visiting American cousins with kids in town. They mention they had some good Dan Dan somewhere and wanted to try it again. Dan Dan was okay. The chicken dish was really good. The preserved pork with Chinese cauliflower was okay. I would come back for the chicken dish again. This place is very authentic. They weren't able to adjust the spicy level to be less.“

“If you’re looking for the original owner of the Prata-Man Express on Capstan Way, look no further! He’s here!! The owner sold his restaurant 3 years ago due to not being able to find enough staff to accommodate the size, so he humbly has a food stall here at this food court. I hear the restaurant on Capstan Way is no longer what it used to be due to change of ownership.
I prefer this set up as he specializes only in the best dishes, which is the Hainanese chicken rice, the curry beef brisket, roti with curry sauce and the Malaysian milk tea. Sometimes when a menu is too large in size, it diminishes the quality. With having a few items on the menu, you know it’s going to be good!
The taste of the seasoned rice, house soup (full of collagen/creamy fat taste due to the bones from the chicken), and everything else was just perfect. Like old school cooking back from the 80’s. The chicken is tender, and de-boned, so barely any bones you have to deal with. It comes with a generous size of the ginger/green onion dip and sweet chili sauce. They were so kind to cut the takeout box without us even asking so my boyfriend and I could have an extra “plate.” $24 fed us both and we were so full :)
Please note, the Malaysian milk tea does not have pearls, and is served sweet with rock sugar. It has a great balance of tea and floral taste.
The owner is very generous with his portions and is like talking to a relative, and his staff working in the back kitchen work diligently.
Help support this small business and they are worthy of a nice tip! I hope they stay around for a long time.“

“I had an amazing experience at this Yin Ji Chang Fen restaurant! The rice beef roll was incredibly fresh, with top-quality vegetables, and the meat tasted so fresh. The packaging was secure, and the delivery was timely with a tight seal. The customer service was excellent – all the staff greeted me warmly, and the take-out pickup was smooth. Highly recommend for both the food and the service!“
“I always come here every week, love their xlb and the pork fried bun, it's so my taste. The staff are super friends and they recognize me. Always so bright and have a big smile on their face. Foods are so delicious always so fresh when I orders it.“

“The fish dish is very authentic. The flavour and texture are consistent with this dish in China. Most of the hot dishes in the combo are also very tasty. The fresh veggies are perfect cooked with the correct amount seasoning, and it is great for refreshing the palate between meat dishes. The fried rice and the rest of the dishes are also decently >8.5/10, but the pork ribs are a bit dry and served lukewarm.
Service is good, but you have to flag down the servers. Order is by QR code. They also perform a small ritual when they serve the fish.“

“The burger bun was crispy and savory, the pork cooked and seasoned to perfection and the biang biang noodles came in the most delicious spicy sauce! Will definitely come back to try the rest of their menu, although it’s not too easy to order in English. Well worth the visit!“

“Seafood was very fresh definitely one of the freshest! Though, the rice can be slightly more seasoned with soy sauce and a bit of dark soy sauce, and scallops can use a bit more steamed fish soy sauce as well for better flavor while retaining its freshness (like the ones I had in Hong Kong).
Services was very efficient, Asian-level efficiency for sure.“

“Most people come to this shopping center for HK BBQ Master, but we came specifically for Paul's Kitchen AND it was very authentic HK style breakfast cuisine. We only had our credit cards and I asked the person at the cash register if they take credit card, she said nope but there is an ATM upstairs at the Superstore. We went upstairs to grab some cash from the ATM out front.
When we got back downstairs, the lady in charge already had reserved a table for us and immediately explained to us what is served during the breakfast hours. She gave us a few recommendations and we went with the wonton with brisket as they ran out of fish balls and the HK Style Grilled Beef with Black Peppercorn Sauce.
Both items were marvelously well made, the peppercorn sauce is EXACTLY how its done in HK and all major cities with a huge HK population. But the winner is the wonton. By golly, I have had hundreds of bowls of wonton, I have made hundreds of wonton dumplings for my family's business but this one really stands out amongst all of them.
The service is efficient and very friendly and they greeted so many regular customers with kind words asking about their work and family. I felt like I was entering into a HK neighborhood corner cafe.

“The logo looks like a deli/meat store but it’s actually part of a chain. I haven’t tried the others (all a bit different) but this one came highly recommended by our foodie friends. Food: 5/5 - They have 12 must-order dishes including a fried eggplant 🍆 which was SO GOOD. A blast of flavour including spicy, savoury, sweet, and herb-y🌿? It was lightly fried and not too oily. Basically I loved it. Our second dish was not from the must-try only because I’m a huge sucker for sour-spicy clear noodles of any type. Although it was not as good as my favourite version of this dish from the Aberdeen food court (Sichuan style) HOWEVER Richie could actually eat this one because it wasn’t as spicy haha🔥. Essentially a “lighter” version but still packed with flavour. It came on a hard-to-reach, raised bowl but I think that’s easy enough to tweak. The restaurant is still new and feeling things out. Our last dish was an omu-rice mapo tofu (lol) and Richie loved it, “It hits the right flavour in every way - not too salty, not too spicy, great tangy-ness, a little oily but immensely appetizing.” The manager said that they make the chili oil and spices from scratch. Prior to our visit we also tried their “sauce duck” or 酱鸭 which is a “thick” soy sauce, sweet duck (think Cantonese/HK roasted duck but sweet) which might not be for everyone but it’s interesting and worth trying if you like food that’s both sweet and salty. There’s also a Nanjing salted duck that we’ll try next time😊. Service: 4/5 - There was only one server aside from the manager today but both were wonderful at checking in and very quick to react to our needs. It’s also the first weekend of “dining-in” again so I wouldn’t hold it against them. Price: $$ - They have a good mix of affordable and fancy choices alike. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - My only complaint is that it’s a too bright inside (I think mood is very important) and I’m not sure what they want to be. It’s not exactly fine dining nor is it casual, nor fun/hip. But the food is good enough that it doesn’t matter. I think we will enjoying coming here and slowing trying everything. #richmondeats #vancityeats“

“Google review shows 4.1 for this place. Joke? lol. Where I came from, this is very authentic Suzhou / Shanghai cuisine. At par with those high quality restaurants in Shanghai. “Nothing beats a big, fragrant, and spicy pot of classic Sichuan Boiled Fish with Intestine on a cold, rainy day. The fish was fresh and snappy, the intestine pieces were juicy as well. The authentic, fiery flavour makes you forget all about the wet, damp weather outside. Their signature dessert of Cold Sweet Rice Cake is heavenly. Covered in a delectable sweet syrup, the rice cake is smooth and creamy. Overall, their food is on the pricey side, but it was delicious. I really appreciate the restaurant for opening late during the holidays as well. Parking is free on premise.“
“Recommended by a friend. Thanks to him, I just found one of the best restaurants in Van. Big fan of lamb. I would recommend this place to any meat lovers.
The whole lamb roast is huuuuuge. We had a group of 10 adults and 3 kids, can’t finish it. Of course we had other dishes, not just the lamb.
You gotta try it at least once. Ordering in advance is required.“

“Without any reference, it was quite good. The fish soup was decent, so was everything else. With the same brand store in Toronto as a reference, however this was a level below. The Toronto store has thicker soup, fresh and more fish and even the bowls are bigger. Here the food was pre-prepared, while in Toronto the food was freshly made.“

“Every time I come here, the attitude of the boss brother and aunt is so good, warm and polite. Every time I come to Richmond, I have to eat this box lunch. The portions are huge and they keep adding more vegetables. I didn’t bring enough cash and change, and I was missing 2 yuan. The boss just said to give it to me next time😅😅. I quickly went back to my husband to get the money to make up for it. Hope business is booming!“

“Wow who could have thought you can find an all you can eat lunch buffet for $18 but here it is.
The signage is only in Chinese, so it was a hard place to find as it is in a side entrance of hazelbridge way on the east side of the parking structure.
Seating is free for all, so you just sit yourself down. Then you have to pay first Cash or Debit only guys! They give you a paper cup and a metal tray and you bring the tray to the food area where you choose the food and they scoop.
Food was decent, white rice to start, lots of meat, some veggies but a good selection of beef, pork, chicken.
We had pork belly, beef brisket with potato, tomato and egg, black bean chicken, eggplant and potato.
A good selection of buyable drinks or you can get free tea or water from the right side of the bar area.
Bathrooms were clean and fashionable.
I think it is a great price for good tasting Chinese food!“

“Food is steamed, cooked, or pan fried on the spot. There is usually a bit of a wait, but the food is very fresh.
I personally think their dumplings are better than their XLB. Noodles are good, but soups/broths are pretty average.
Scallion pancake is a tad too salty.“

“Today my friend suggested this place, because we were both craving for meat. This wasy first time here. I am so glad she recommended.
They have menu for all day long breakfast, and my desired steak combo, but since I was not as hungry for the steak combo, I went for the breakfast style combo.
I ordered chicken fillet with butter bun+ 2 sunny side up eggs and the combo was with the noodle soup.
The chicken fillet, wow!!! I love it, crunchy skin and extremely juicy meat and the seasoning was perfect to my taste buds. The bun was baked hotdog bun, with butter, I thought I was getting small breakfast bun, but anyway, I put my eggs in the bun and made myself egg sandwich. It was good to my tummy. Then the noodle soup came and the noodle was queuey, very good and the broth was not too salty. It was a perfect combo for me. Then the HK milk tea, ah, I shall not need to drink coffee for tonight's catch up work, as HK milk tea is usually strong enough for me.
So overall, this new found place shall be my new go to place when I am craving for meat, and steak.“

“Some phenomenal skewers! They have a massive selection for their skewers, and their appetizers and desserts are all delicious too. Though the proportion size is a little small for the price, they all taste great! The parking is convenient to come by, and there're some bubble tea places nearby if it was too spicy for you haha. I highly recommend their spam skewers :)
Parking: Easy to come by.“

“Formerly known as the “Bamboo Grove Dining Room and Coffee Shop” half a century ago, is now traditional Cantonese style family meals. They have wone numerous Metro Vancouver Chinese Restaurant Awards since 2010 as well as Chinese Restaurant Awards Critic’s choice. From the outside it looks dated, parking situation not the best, spacious interior quite upscale.
Service definitely on par with the vibe, not your family course set menu so a little more pricey, but the food is absolutely amazing, you get what you paid for. Every single dish is delicious and I would consider it a hidden gem ?
4 stars because of the parking and the crowd wait as we didn't have reservation but I guess that is a good thing.“

“In the evening, Qin asked two friends on her left to have dinner. The friends told me to go to the restaurant. It was my first time to go. If you don’t have expectations, you won’t be disappointed. It’s OK! Shiluo has a surprise! I called the left lamb belly pot + 3 side dishes set menu. The lamb belly pot and Kyoto pork chop were delicious. Since the other two dishes were not what I ordered, I thought it was passable! The frozen lemon tea is so-so! The lamb brisket should be served slowly! The waiters have great attitudes! Worth recommending“

“Hainanese chicken & rice is perfectly done. The beef brisket noodle is simple and tasty.
This place would get 5* if it weren't for the price. Both items were a couple bucks more expensive than it should be for what you get.
I may come back again but it's too expensive to justify coming to regularly.“

“(See below for why 5/5 even though 4/5 for food!)
Food is great, served hot and fast. The wontons and noodles are done well. I’ve also come back a few times for deep fried appetizers which are tasty. All in all, it is great for what it is.
Service is fast and efficient, which may come off as unfriendly for some but it’s only because they want to get your food to you as quickly as possible! I ordered a regular wonton mixed noodle which they delivered on. I was shocked and surprised when the owners decided to give me an extra dumpling and bowl of soup a few minutes later free of charge! That really put it over the top for me.
Atmosphere is excellent. There is the hum of the Cantonese news playing on the TV in the background.“
