“Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

This is pretty good mass produced pizza. Can I tell the difference between other pizza chains.... Not really. But they have some good toppings and staff are usually pleasant.

“While in Vancouver the beginning of November for medical appointments. My wife and I were undecided on were to eat. We walked out of our motel. Looked across the street and saw the Italian Kitchen, we walked over and asked if they had any seats available, it was a very busy night ,got our seats and our sever was Sam he was very pleasant. “I forgot to take a picture of the sandwich before I ate it. Unfortunately it was just too good to put down. I just had their expertly done Friday french dip and was compelled to write a review for this little downtown Vancouver gem. I normally stop in for the their black angus reuben sandwich (in my opinion one of their specialties), but had a change of heart. Not only is the owner taking your order but he’s preparing everything in house as well (with help I imagine). From the gourmet pickles and artisan bread to the beautifully prepared meats, this establishment fails to disappoint. I’m unsure why they’re so underrated. If you find yourself just after the burrard bridge in downtown Vancouver, stop in to let your taste buds live a little.“

“Stopped by Kramky Cafe for the first time today and I’m really glad I did. It’s in my neighborhood but a bit out of my usual route, so this was my first visit and definitely not my last.

The two staff working today were incredibly kind and welcoming, which immediately set a good tone. The place has a great vibe. It’s cozy, small, and very much a neighborhood café feel, with nice music playing in the background that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your coffee.

I had their drip coffee, which was really good, and I liked that they use Moja Coffee, a solid Vancouver local roaster. I paired it with a sugar-free berry muffin, and the only sweetness comes from the banana, blueberry, and pineapple. It tasted clean, light, and surprisingly satisfying. Perfect for breakfast without feeling heavy. Best of all, come early around 730 and you’re in for some warm baked goods fresh from the oven!

Overall, great coffee, thoughtful food, kind service, and a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try something else next time.“

“I’ve been here a few times. The waiters and waitresses are extremely educated and their options are all extremely good, from pastas to seafood and many more. The atmosphere of the restaurant, especially being that it’s a house that was transformed into a fine dining spot, is spot on, never been disappointed with their food nor their service. “Chau Cafe is such a delightful find the moment you walk in you feel welcomed by the cozy, relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. The menu blends classic Vietnamese flavours with fresh, wholesome ingredients, and there are great options for vegan and vegetarian diets as well as meat lovers.
The interior is bright and inviting great for office lunch meeting or a relaxed meal by yourself and the service was prompt even when busy. Whether you’re craving bold Vietnamese flavours or just a cozy place to enjoy mindful, delicious food, this place truly shines. I recently tried the 1978 Pho Soup and the Saigon Bowl both were standouts! The pho had a rich, aromatic broth with perfect layers of lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, star anise and tender chicken it felt deeply comforting and well balanced, with great fresh herbs and noodles that soaked up the flavour beautifully. Both dishes were generously portioned and full of vibrant Vietnamese flavours perfect for a cozy lunch or dinner. 
The hand cut Taro chips were a delightful starter perfectly crispy with a hint of earthiness, and paired wonderfully with the paprika garlic tofu dip. They were so good they almost stole the show before the main course even arrived!
Overall, every dish was fresh, flavourful, and felt lovingly made. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better, highly recommend these must-try items if you’re craving Vietnamese food with personality!“

“Comfy vibe, tasty food. We started with the cheesy garlic flatbread and loved it. The BBQ chicken flatbread was delicious too. It didn't make me feel bloated like some pizza does. We regret not ordering a snack (another flatbread) for later. We will definitely be back another time!“

Then, when she was asked to bring the correct items she was annoyed and after rectifying things, which she did, didn't visit our table again, meet our eyes when passing or ask if we needed another round. Luckily the other servers were great. We still left a good tip because the other servers were helpful.“

“I used to go to their Vancouver location on Main St a long time ago, and only rediscovered them about a month ago. My son is celiac and has a number of food allergies so he has never had ice cream at an ice cream shop before. This is also partly because no staff at a store has ever had the time or interest to help, usually we are just told “no we can’t do that” or “he can’t have anything then”. The staff and Asacia, the owner, have been outstanding in helping us find a selection of ice cream flavours, ice cream sandwiches plus an ice cream cake for Christmas he can safely enjoy and was absolutely delicious for all!

I am always thankful to any business that takes food allergies seriously, but extremely grateful when they show interest and care in finding something that works and ensuring it’s safe. Innocent Ice Cream does so and in a patient and kind way. This is where we go for ice cream and special desserts now!“

“I absolutely love Freshslice Pizza on Joyce Street! The location is perfect with plenty of parking around, and the restaurant is fully accessible and always clean. The staff pays close attention to details and never ignores you or act busy when you walk in; ( there is an Asian girl ( Filipina I guess) sorry I didn’t ask her for her name …she is constantly cleaning and organizing the place making sure it’s tidy and presentable)they’re always quick to assist, friendly yet very professional. The toppings are always fresh and generous, which sets this location apart from others I’ve tried in Burnaby Surrey or Vancouver, they simply never disappoint They’re my favourite 100% ,and I highly recommend ordering from them .“

“I went to Lemonade to try and find a dessert for a friend who is celiac. I was very pleasantly surprise how delicious the cakes were. It turned out that my friend knows this place very well . The triple chocolate cake and lemon slice were both delicious. The service at the counter was friendly and helpful. What a great bakery . We are very lucky to have this in Vancouver . Go there and try them. You will not be disppointed.“
