“We had dinner at Blue Water Cafe last night, and our server, Jared, was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly attentive throughout the entire evening and possessed a deep knowledge of the menu, explaining the dishes with great detail. His drink recommendations were also spot on and enhanced our meal perfectly. What impressed us the most was his impeccable pacing; he managed to attend to every single table with absolute precision, without ever making anyone feel rushed. Jared balances warmth and professionalism beautifully, and he was truly a key figure in making our evening a memorable success. “The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“We celebrated our 10th anniversary on January 25 at Coast Restaurant during the Dine Out Festival 2026, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. As expected from the Glowbal Restaurant Group, the service was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress made the evening even more special—she happened to be a fellow Swiftie! We ended up having such a lovely chat about how we millennials grew up listening to Taylor Swift, which added a fun and personal touch to our celebration. She truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. Not only did we receive a complimentary cake as a thoughtful gesture, but she also surprised me with a Swiftie friendship bracelet—such a sweet and unique detail that we’ll always remember. The food was amazing from start to finish. My husband had the New England Chowder for his appetizer, while I enjoyed the shrimp salad. For our mains, we both chose the surf n’ turf—our favorite—and it did not disappoint. We ended the night with a delicious sticky toffee pudding, along with the complimentary cake. “While in Vancouver the beginning of November for medical appointments. My wife and I were undecided on were to eat. We walked out of our motel. Looked across the street and saw the Italian Kitchen, we walked over and asked if they had any seats available, it was a very busy night ,got our seats and our sever was Sam he was very pleasant. “I had a great experience at Freshslice late at night. I arrived about 20 minutes before closing, and even though they were getting ready to close, Sakshi was incredibly kind and never made me feel rushed. She happily took my order, customized my pizza exactly the way I wanted, and provided excellent customer service with a smile.

“From the outside it might be difficult to locate the restaurant as there is no large restaurant sign name. However once inside you notice a very clean, bright and vibrant atmosphere. Very friendly staff that explain the colorful menu and offered suggestions. We had spring rolls, papaya salad and chicken pho. The vegetables were so fresh and crisp. The spring rolls had a very light wrapping and were filled with fresh veggies. The papaya salad was fresh with citrus twist and just the right amount of sweetness. Chicken pho was not salty and chicken meatballs were a treat. There appear to be lots of choices on this street but this one is a standout. Keep up the good work!!“

“This is my second time at MeeT on Main and I am writing it yet another review as it truly deserves! This place is a MUST go. Last year I found myself unsure of where to take my girlfriend for our first real dinner date due to her dietary restrictions and tentatively made our way for this Vegan restaurant that both I and her had raised a brow about (For more on that review seek out Raven Bramblepaw on Google reviews to see!) But we are more than pleased to say we have returned and couldn't be happier to have done so, this time bringing with us my girlfriends parents. The food was just as good as we remembered, possibly even better as it is not an over exaggeration that if you did not know what was infront of you was vegan, you likely wouldn't guess. This restaurant will continue to be a staple for my relationship with my girlfriend Fox, and we will continue to come back every year if we should be so lucky. Thank you Astrid and Co. for the warm return welcome, and we look forward to coming back for another tasty bite!“

“I had one of their burritos, absolutely delicious. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but it's definitely got something for everyone. Staff are great too. I enjoyed my lunch here, I'll bring a friend next time. They have pretty small glasses of beer on offer too which is a great idea if you want a beer but don't want much. “My parents (69 and 71) were hosting Christmas Dinner at their house. My father decided to order Christmas dinner from Fresh In Your Fridge so Christmas dinner could be stress-free for all while still enjoying a delicious family meal. We were all so impressed! The meal instructions were simple and easy to follow and the food was just incredible. Our meal started with a winter green salad that was a hit with everyone around the table, including my normally veggie-adverse husband and the kids! He and the children even had seconds. The main course - turkey roulade with stuffing, creamy mashed potatoes, mixed roasted veggies, and gravy - was all delicious! The portions were so generous - there were 10 of us and there were leftovers at the end of the meal. Finally, a pear crumble with caramel sauce for dessert… So tasty and the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Minimal clean up afterwards - dishes done within 10 minutes! My father declared this is how he would like to host all big family meals in the future! Thanks to the Fresh In You Fridge team for making this Christmas extra special for our family“

“After trying most of Vancouver's well-known bakeries, Beyond Bread is the one that stood out to me. If you're serious about sourdough, this is as close as I've found to the real thing in the city.

The owner trained in France, and it shows in the craftsmanship. My favourites are the Light Rye and the Country Loaf—both have a beautiful crust, an inviting aroma, and the kind of texture you'd expect from a proper loaf. The flavour is good overall, although I still think there's a little room for improvement to make it truly exceptional.

The bakery itself is small, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a nice place to stop by whether you're picking up a loaf or enjoying a coffee. For anyone searching for sourdough in Vancouver, Beyond Bread would be my first recommendation.“

“I finally got to visit this bakery to get gluten-free cravings fixed. I had bought a lot of items and I will update the review as I tried them.

First thing I had was the butter croissant. It was very dense and filling. It does not taste like your typical croissant.

Today, I had the mocha hazelnut profiteroles (cream puff). It was a bit too sweet for me. I didn't really taste the mocha and hazelnut.

I had the vanilla chocolate profiteroles. It is good if you put it in the freezer before. Taste like an ice cream treat.

Carrot cake with real cream cheese icing is delicious. I would order this again.“

“This was my first visit to the Wooden shoe cafe. When I walked in I immediately noticed the collections of items and pictures of patrons covering the walls. Depending on what generation you hail from this could make for a nice little walk down memory lane.
Service at the cafe was great and friendly.

The menu offerings are numerous. I ordered the Benny and it met my expectations and exceeded them. Prices are fair and portion sizes are also nice.

The cured sirloin cap ‘tonnato’—in tuna sauce—and the risotto Milanese were the best versions I’ve had of those dishes anywhere outside of Northern Italy, where I grew up. We ordered the rack of lamb rare, and it was seared to perfection—alongside a rich reduction and mushroom medley. Don’t miss out on the burrata or the beets either—so good! The atmosphere is romantic, warm and inviting, the music a great vibe. But the best part of our night was the outstanding service provided by our server, Giovanna.
