“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“One of the most iconic spots in Koreatown!
The soup arrives with customizable add-ins like green onions, red pepper paste, and minced garlic, letting you tweak the savory depth to perfection. Sides of banchan (kimchi, pickled radish) keep the table lively and flavorful.“

“If you’re chasing premium Korean BBQ in the heart of K-Town, this spot is one of the more elevated experiences in the neighborhood. 🇰🇷🔥 Jeong Yuk Jeom translates to “butcher shop” — and that’s exactly the vibe you get: hand-selected, dry-aged and wet-aged beef cuts cooked over charcoal that deliver rich flavor and juiciness worth savoring.
The restaurant’s interior is sleek and spacious, perfect for groups or date nights, with good ventilation so you don’t walk out smelling like a grill.
Upscale, flavorful, and memorable Korean BBQ in LA.
Would go again? Absolutely — especially for the dry-aged beef and unique dishes you don’t find everywhere. 🍷🥩“

“The best AYCE Korean bbq restaurant. Meat quality is top-notch. They grill the meat for you but still allow you to enjoy the food at your own speed. I tried almost every meat and my favorite is the marinated beef rib with bone. It melted in my mouth. I love it and will come back.👍🏻“

“Great kbbq place with fresh ingredients and a wide variety of side dishes. They don’t have AYCE here, only combinations — I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food for the one we got. The kimchi fried rice was good, and the meats were all very fresh and tasted delicious with the accompanying sauces. The servers were also more involved in the meat grilling, even for those of us who had experience kbbq before. They also had fun robots around to bring out and take away dishes. We made reservations, which I’d recommend as it was pretty crowded when we went.“

“This place also has a long history in Koreatown. The food is impeccable.
The prices have gone up, but if you're craving dongchimi noodles and meat,
this is the place to go. The meat is all delicious, but the prices have gone up significantly compared to before, so you'll have to settle for beef tongue or Gilmok Gui. It's a place you'll return to for the taste.“

“Best, the best , Korean bbq in LA… Cali, USA! First time bbq in K town reminded me of the bbq I had in Soowon South Korea- the headquarters of korean bbq. Generous too: 1 order was enough for 2 people, came with a salad, soup and panchan.“

“Amazing food. Plate licking sauces, organic, locally sourced food. Korean fusion. Did I mention organic pickled everything. Enzyme rich food. Beyond healthy. Humble little hope in the wall run by a husband and wife team. Dude went to Korea to study with the most famous vegan nun chef in Korea. A must go to for anyone who loves food and especially loves fusion with organic and very well priced. He should charge Much more but they don’t.“

“I’ve heard about this place before and all the lore that came with it being one of K-towns gems. I had to come and try it out for myself, what I can say is that truly and honestly it’s one of my favorite spots to eat at. You don’t come here for the frills or the fancy seating you come here to eat good home cooked food. I ordered the combo mudfish and soup meal and boy was I in for a treat the fish was perfectly cooked and all the banchan was perfectly prepared. The Kimchi brewed in house daily and the soup to perfection.
I will for sure be coming back soon!“

“The food and service were amazing. The meats and options they have here are very unique and delicious, up to 32 different options. The person who gave us our meat was nice and caring. As some side notes, if this is your first time going to Korean BBQ place, you cook your own food so make sure you know how to cook meats, also the music they played here is pretty good!“

“A Night at Baekjeong - Still Just as Good the Second Time!
Some places are good the first time because it is new.
Then you go back and realize it was just hype.
That was not the case here.
My wife and I went back to Baekjeong in Los Angeles for the second time, and it hit just as hard as the first. Same energy. Same quality. Same feeling walking out knowing you picked the right place.
From the moment you sit down, you already know what kind of night it is going to be. The grill fires up right in front of you, the sides start coming out, and the whole table fills up fast. Everything feels intentional. Nothing feels lazy.
The meat is the main event. The brisket cooks fast, full of flavor, and melts the way it is supposed to. The marinated cuts bring that balance of sweet and savory that just locks in. Every bite feels like it was worth the trip.
And then there are the sides. They do not treat them like an afterthought. Everything around the grill matters. The egg, the corn, the small dishes that keep coming out. It all works together. You are not just eating meat, you are building a full plate every time.
What really stands out is the energy in that place. It is loud, packed, and moving. You hear grills sizzling all around you, people talking, servers moving with purpose. It feels alive. You are not sitting in silence waiting for food. You are part of the whole thing.
And that is what made the night what it was.
It was not just about the food. It was being there with my wife, sitting across from each other, talking, laughing, and just enjoying the moment without anything else pulling at us. No distractions. Just us and a table full of food we actually love.
That matters more than people realize.
Real talk, you might wait to get in. That is part of it. But once you are in, you forget about all that. The experience makes up for it.
Second time in, and it delivered again. No drop off. No disappointment.
That is how you know a place is real.
We love this spot. And it is already locked in as one of ours.“

“If you’re craving authentic Korean BBQ in the South Bay — especially Korean-style grilled beef intestines (gopchang) — this is the place to go.
One thing that really stands out to me is how clean and well-prepared the gopchang is. Korean-style gopchang is known for its thorough cleaning and careful preparation, and I truly felt a sense of safety and quality here. That attention to detail makes a big difference.
All of the side dishes were excellent as well — everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced.
I’d definitely love to come back here often with friends!“

“We ate inside at the counter and tried a little bit of a few things off the menu. The sweet & spicy fried chicken and fried chicken dumplings were delicious. 😋🍴 We also tried the bulgogi and spicy chicken bowl and both were so delicious. As a side note, the man that waited on us (not sure if it was the owner or not) was very nice and hospitable. ☺️“

The fried chicken was very tasty too! Next time I need to try the beer and other menu items. I found metered parking nearby but there is valet service in the back!“

“My mom and I have been to a lot of Korean restaurants in LA, and Jincook is far by one of the best we've had. The quality of their food is top-notch and service was great. Now I understand the hype!
We tried...
-Galbi Jjim Braised Beef Short Ribs were incredibly soft, tender and fall of the bone, sauce was very flavorful, slightly sweet from kobucha and spicy! Portion is huge that feeds 4 people. Add cheese to elevate the flavor even more.
-Marinated Dumplings - Slightly crispy on the outside and the meat filling was flavorful. So good!
-Souvide Porkbelly -OMG melt in your mouth porkbelly slices!! So amazing!
-Chicken Katsu Curry - Perfectly fried breaded chicken on a bed of white rice and curry sauce.
Service was welcoming and inviting and our server was patient with all the questions I had. Highly recommend this place.
TIP:
-Cheap parking at the end of the street“
“Had a great meal at Sun Nong Dan Sawtelle tonight. We ordered the #3 and #10 soups, and both were absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and super comforting. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, easily enough to share or take some home for later. Our server Moses was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Overall a really enjoyable experience with great food and great service. Definitely looking forward to coming back!“

“Only place in ktown with games where you can bet drinks against other tables, which might not sound like much but it’s another thing to do at the table while drinking. They have 50% off soju and beer Sunday-Wednesday before 10pm if you’re looking for a more casual chill time, weekends could get packed“
