“Best Haitian food in the Bay Area hands-down! This was our first time trying Haitian food and it did not disappoint. Oxtail meat fell off the bone, jerk chicken spice was perfect. All the sides were more than what we could've asked for. Service was friendly, quick and welcoming. Will definitely return soon“

“The food was very good and the place is cute with a great soundtrack but the portions are ridiculous. $8 for a single very small dumpling that's about half a bite's worth of food, for example. If that's your thing, it's delicious.“

“The vibes outside on a beautiful day were lovely, and everyone seemed really nice, but spending ~$125 and feeling hungry afterwards was a bit of a bummer. (Fish and chips, salad, 2 chowders, some raw and some grilled oysters. In retrospect the move might have been to order some more fries for the calories.) Came here with partner & parents and sat outside. One issue was that the music was way too loud to be able to have a conversation without yelling. After waiting a while for raw oysters checked in with waitstaff and found they’d misdelivered the order to a different table. (It was a super busy night.) I wasn’t a huge fan of the salad; it was small but pricy and could’ve used some citrus to brighten it up. Fish and chips were delicious.“

“Had a reservation, but a physical problem in late afternoon required cancellation. However there is no telephone number and no way to let restaurant know -- and a default charge of $40.

Apparently this isn't restaurant policy. They contacted us within an hour and refunded the money -- and said they're looking for another reservation service.“

“I bought the oyster combo with DoorDash and I absolutely loved the deep fried oysters. The fried breading was very tasty and the oysters tasted like they were cooked just right.

I chose potato salad for the side, I liked it, however, I do not know if they make it fresh.

The combo also comes with a Shasta brand soda, but cola and lemon lime are the only offered flavors.

I definitely want to order from here again.“

“I like this place quite a bit. All the food is fried to perfection and is all pretty distinct. Ordering is pretty simple just call or drop in and hang out about for a while. The service is also really friendly. What is a bit odd here is the patrons to the establishment. Interesting crowd lol, hell bent on getting their fried fish and chickens with plenty of attitude. Surely if they chilled out they would have a more positive pickip experience. Found that a bit odd lol be nice to folks who run this place.“

“We stopped in got some Fish & Chips (cat fish) and Onion rings and soda.As a very picky Aussie who loves good Fish & Chips most stores here in the US I’d score at a 6/10 but this little hole in the wall shop it’s easy an 8/10 the chips where good size the fish was average size for all the US stores I’ve tried but this little store the batter was crispy and the fish cooked perfectly the onion rings where good the Chips where very good but I feel a few extra minutes in the oil would have made them a perfect Crispy outer and hot and fluffy“

“Came here for a baked potato and realized theres so much more to it than that! They had some delicious birria tacos and even birria ramen! The fish tacos were so delicious too. Im not usually one to divert from my usual agua de pepino but the drink with pineapple and i think it was spinach or something, i cant remember, but it was soo yummy too. The only thing that was really hard to figure out was parking. I spent like 30 minutes each time just going around the whole thing looking for parking. To be fair it was rush hour so there was a lot of traffic too.“

“I’ve found my new favorite restaurant. The hand-pulled noodles are made right on-site and it completely changes the game—they have the perfect texture and bite. I started with the dumpling soup, which was full of flavor, and then went for the spicy chicken noodles. They had just the right kick of spice and that wonderful doughy chew you hope for in good noodles.

The Shan Dong chicken was another highlight. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the breading-to-chicken ratio is perfect—every bite has that satisfying crunch. The combination of fresh noodles, flavorful dumplings, and crispy chicken makes this place so worth it. It’s easy to see why it’s quickly become one of my favorites. “Great food on a great Sunday!“

“Good authentic Japanese cuisine! Had the tempura udon, beef teriyaki set and double salmon roll. Salmon tasted especially delicious.

Service was great, they accommodated for a party of 8 without reservation with about a 15 minute wait (friday dinner, 6pm). There is a physical waiting list upon arrival, staff was efficient and kind despite the large group inconvenience.

Would 10/10 go again, great value and great service.“

“This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the Bay Area. Where else can you get authentic Bun Bo Hue and Mi Quang, except maybe San Jose and SF, and they give you a ton of veggies, unlike most restaurants. Plus you always get a grissly bone with your Bun Bo Hue, and pork blood, otherwise it wouldn't be authentic! If you like vietnamese food, you gotta come here. Trust me, I grew up eating vietnamese food and have been to Vietnam, including Da Nang, where my wife was born, and it doesn't get much better than this. 5 stars“

“First of all the people that were in there getting food talked to me about how great it is before I could even order. I was excited. I ordered a Super Burrito with ground beef and everything. I also ordered a taco. When I saw how many ingredients were piled up on that taco and saw how the only way he could close that taco was to envelope it in aluminum foil I was amazed. But then when I picked up my bag containing one burrito and one taco I swear it was a couple of pounds! The burrito was huge! And delicious! And the person taking my order and the person making the orders were very pleasant. I will definitely be back many times.“

The quality was good but they have to work on the business portion of things instead of being high priced. to make profit isnt about high price. paid $35 and she asked me what I want with it and I said goat. Im thinking since I paid that much it was included but they charged me separate for the goat about $6 and I ordered 2 extra $3.50 starch, Out the door like $49. they need a reasonable price 2 keep people coming back than a high price dat keeps people thinking maybe. It could taste good but you're competing with every other restaurant that got $15 plates. I got a lot more to help them improve but they gonna have 2 pay me for that 😭“

“Went for CNY dinner with a party of 6, spent about $30 per person on AYCE, but it was worth it, wide variety of meats and vegetables to choose from on the AYCE menu, sauce bar wasn't necessarily lit up well, hard to see some of the options, but it didn't take away from the experience at all! “This is a simple old school greasy spoon worth checking out if you're looking for a decent basic breakfast spot. The decor is dated & the service is hit or miss, but the food is pretty good! They have all of the classics like pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, omelets, sausage, hash browns & toast. They also have burgers & sandwiches for lunch. These type of neighborhood mom & pop restaurants are becoming harder to find, so I recommend supporting a small business & give them a try if you're in the area.“

“Eve's Waterfront is an amazing venue with beautiful views, great staff, and delicious food and cocktails. My association met there for a buffet lunch, working meeting, and cocktail hour with passed appetizers. Everything was done smoothly, on budget and on time. Eve was super easy to work with and made the whole process simple and friendly. As soon as you walk in to the restaurant, you are greeted by friendly and professional staff and also beautiful views of the water, sailboats, and the Oakland/Alameda shorelines. Considering the quality of the staff, the venue, and the food, Eve's was also a bargain. I can't recommend Eve's highly enough and would happily hold more events there in the future.“

“This is my families favorite chinese restaurant in Oakland. The food is authentic and delicious.

We usually eat in, but the place is dated and simple. So if the ambiance isnt important, this is the local place in this part of Oakland to come.

I dont eat pork or beef, so we mostly order veggie or chicken dishes. Always, egg fu yong, veggie mu shu, broccoli beef(broccoli is bright green, yet fully cooked), chicken chow mein, and for hubby mongolian beef. This is plenty for 3 adults, 2 kids, with enough leftovers for another day. Hubby traded for sweet & and sour shrimp, this time. It looked ok, but not impressive (breaded, which I dont eat). My son likes the spicy sweet sauced chicken, or kung pao chicken.

The fortune cookies are crisp, and the waitress always gives the kids candy.

Parking on MacArthur is a pain, but there is usually parking around the corner on the street, by the church on 38th.“
