“Hit this place up! We got two boxes of pastries to go and they did not disappoint. Really enjoyed the ham and cheese croissants as well as the tomato danish. Scones and cookies were amazing too. Would like to go back to grab a pizza which they serve starting at 11am. The line moves quick so don’t be alarmed. It’s worth the wait!“

“This amazing pastry shop was located near our hotel, and we came here for breakfast. It was fantastic! It got quite busy around 8 a.m. on a weekday, but we managed to snag a cozy outdoor seat. The croissants looked amazing, flaky, buttery, and perfectly baked. My partner and I shared the Filled Kouign amann, and I wish we had ordered more because they were that good. Unfortunately, the tempting Little Italy eateries were calling, so we kept it light. Still, it’s a very cute coffee and pastry shop I’d love to return to.“

“I love the pastries here! I have been coming here for years. On this visit I purchased two fruit tortes for a pot luck. I chose the peach torte and the Alpine Torte. Both were very delicous! They were fresh, tart, sweet, and a bit crunchy (with the crumble at the top). It's everything you want in a torte, or a pie. The customer experience when I picked them up was excellent as well. Sophia helped me on this visit. She was very helpful and answered questions that helped me make a choice. Thank you! “I tried the Coconut Cake...best I've ever had. The Mango Cheesecake was delicious! To drink, I had a Double Cortadito, so good! What brought me here were the Guava and Guava Cheese Pastelitos. I have only ever had these from Portos. Sadly, they were too rich! Not the Guava or Cheese, they were way too buttery! The amount of butter used over powered the Guava. Hopefully it's just the batch I had. I will be back to try their other cakes and sandwiches.“

“My family and I were visiting San Diego for my daughters 21st birthday. I thought of everything but the cake. I called Kona Kakes on Friday hoping for a cake by Sunday, I was told they are closed on Sunday, so they could have it ready on Saturday. We were enjoying the zoo Saturday and I completely forgot about the cake. It was after store hours but I tried to reach them by phone anyways, the owner answered and said she would wait for us to arrive. This in itself was truly amazing, but the cake! The cake was beautiful, delicious, moist, decadent, and extremely flavorful! We had the Caramel Macadamia Nut Cake. Everyone and most of all, my daughter loved the cake! If you live near Kona Kakes then count yourself blessed and try this place. I wish there was a Kona Kakes in Las Vegas.“

“Beautiful spot with wonderful open and clean atmosphere. Presentation is beautiful too of the food in the deli cases. The owner was very sweet and made sure to double check that I ordered what I ordered. Lots of Ukrainian baked goods like pirozki and honey cake. Also serve some food items too like borscht and plov which I will be coming back for with a side of sourdough bread.

Got the pistachio raspberry honey cake. It's beautifully decorated and a deep dark green with many layers of light and not too sweet fresh creme. That rotates between pistachio and raspberry. 10/10 on the cake! Very surprised indeed. Excited to bring my husband here although he gluten sensitive to try some of the friendlier food options.“

“I had a couple of good doughnuts and an iced coffee with oat-milk from this newer doughnut shop in Seaport Village.

I had a chocolate glaze and a vanilla glazed doughnut. They were both tasty in their own way. The chocolate delivered in the chocolate flavor for sure. It was rich in chocolate flavor. The cake portion was tasty but a little on the dry side for a doughnut. The vanilla glazed was tasty and well. I liked that it was not overly sugary.

The iced latte was very good. They put just the right amount of oat milk and ice. The coffee flavor was very good.

The young lady at the window offer good hospitality. It was hard hearing each other, given the fan noise coming from the inside, but after a few repeats, communication got through.

This place does not offer any inside seating, but there's plenty on the outside given that it is at Sea port Village. It's a nice addition to the village.“

We also bought the salted caramel mini cake and the white cake with strawberries which were good and not too sweet. But I definitely preferred the mochi over the cakes.“

“Its my wife and I's first time on the West Coast and while we were driving we happen to see these very quaint small bakery and made a mental note to come back. We're very glad we did. We went rather early in the morning so the atmosphere was quiet and very homely. We ordered two benni breakfast sandwiches and two cinnamon rolls. The portions were alot bigger than we expected but they were warm and gooey, and mouthwatering. The breakfast sanwhich did not disappoint, with a thick fluffy egg scramble topped with a slice of ham and slightly melted cheese. However the star of the sandwich was a ridiculously soft homemade roll that elevated the sandwich. We will be coming back 100%.“

I was excited to have them at my husband's surprise birthday party with over 60 guests. The customer service however is horrible. Do not plan to use them for large parties. I placed and paid for the cookies weeks earlier with the manager, Amy and when my son went to pick them up so our guests could have hot and delcious cookies...he was told they couldn't find his order. He proceeded to call me, taking away from my guests as I had to look up emails, paid receipts and order numbers etc. After over 20 mins of this they finally found the order and my son was told he needed to wait an additional 20-30 mins. Ultimately the cookies were late, I was upset and several of my guests left. Amy the manager called the next day and offered nothing for compensation for all the stress etc.. we had to go through... I will not use them again!“
