“One of the best bakeries we’ve been too. We come here every time we visit family in San Diego. Our favorite bread is their baguette. You can’t go wrong with any of their baked goods. Their morning bun is one of the best. Today, we got an apple cider scone and it was one of the best pastries we’ve tried. So much flavor.“

“I tried the Coconut Cake...best I've ever had. The Mango Cheesecake was delicious! To drink, I had a Double Cortadito, so good! What brought me here were the Guava and Guava Cheese Pastelitos. I have only ever had these from Portos. Sadly, they were too rich! Not the Guava or Cheese, they were way too buttery! The amount of butter used over powered the Guava. Hopefully it's just the batch I had. I will be back to try their other cakes and sandwiches.“

“Beautiful spot with wonderful open and clean atmosphere. Presentation is beautiful too of the food in the deli cases. The owner was very sweet and made sure to double check that I ordered what I ordered. Lots of Ukrainian baked goods like pirozki and honey cake. Also serve some food items too like borscht and plov which I will be coming back for with a side of sourdough bread.

Got the pistachio raspberry honey cake. It's beautifully decorated and a deep dark green with many layers of light and not too sweet fresh creme. That rotates between pistachio and raspberry. 10/10 on the cake! Very surprised indeed. Excited to bring my husband here although he gluten sensitive to try some of the friendlier food options.“

“My family and I were visiting San Diego for my daughters 21st birthday. I thought of everything but the cake. I called Kona Kakes on Friday hoping for a cake by Sunday, I was told they are closed on Sunday, so they could have it ready on Saturday. We were enjoying the zoo Saturday and I completely forgot about the cake. It was after store hours but I tried to reach them by phone anyways, the owner answered and said she would wait for us to arrive. This in itself was truly amazing, but the cake! The cake was beautiful, delicious, moist, decadent, and extremely flavorful! We had the Caramel Macadamia Nut Cake. Everyone and most of all, my daughter loved the cake! If you live near Kona Kakes then count yourself blessed and try this place. I wish there was a Kona Kakes in Las Vegas.“

“The cake I got here was really good. I liked that it wasnt overly sweet, which is a big plus for me. The cake was soft, fresh, and the frosting tasted pretty nice too. Everything looked neat and the order was ready when I came in. The person helping me was friendly and didnt make things complicated. Prices seemed fair for the size and quality. I’d probably come back when I need a cake for another birthday or get together. Nothing fancy to say, just a good local bakery with some tasty cakes.“

“I had a couple of good doughnuts and an iced coffee with oat-milk from this newer doughnut shop in Seaport Village.

I had a chocolate glaze and a vanilla glazed doughnut. They were both tasty in their own way. The chocolate delivered in the chocolate flavor for sure. It was rich in chocolate flavor. The cake portion was tasty but a little on the dry side for a doughnut. The vanilla glazed was tasty and well. I liked that it was not overly sugary.

The iced latte was very good. They put just the right amount of oat milk and ice. The coffee flavor was very good.

The young lady at the window offer good hospitality. It was hard hearing each other, given the fan noise coming from the inside, but after a few repeats, communication got through.

This place does not offer any inside seating, but there's plenty on the outside given that it is at Sea port Village. It's a nice addition to the village.“

“Its my wife and I's first time on the West Coast and while we were driving we happen to see these very quaint small bakery and made a mental note to come back. We're very glad we did. We went rather early in the morning so the atmosphere was quiet and very homely. We ordered two benni breakfast sandwiches and two cinnamon rolls. The portions were alot bigger than we expected but they were warm and gooey, and mouthwatering. The breakfast sanwhich did not disappoint, with a thick fluffy egg scramble topped with a slice of ham and slightly melted cheese. However the star of the sandwich was a ridiculously soft homemade roll that elevated the sandwich. We will be coming back 100%.“

“I slept in for the first time to get a couple cookies have been looking forward to getting some, the cookies were fantastic. I have no complaints on those. I just wasn’t very impressed that the case is open and there were flies landing on all of the cookies.
When I saw the flies, I thought oh maybe these are just on display, but she grabbed the cookies off of those plates that I had clearly seen flies land on

“This canele is major. The competition to get caneles at nearbyish 102 Scone Co. in UTC (the only other good canele in the county) is too much, like, I'm not getting in line at 7:30am. This place is small and tucked away within a big apartment/condo complex. I bought a lemon madeleine and a classic canele. I'm used to madeleines being more dense than this one was, but this was perfect. It wasn't light and airy, but it wasn't dense. It was a really pleasant meeting in the middle, and the flavor was moderate. Not overwhelming in lemon flavor, which some people like, but definitely not neglected either. I want another one.

The canele.. yes, it was major. Perfect brown exterior with a good crunch and a soft custardy interior. Nailed everything about it. Yes, I will pay 4 dollars for this again. I will pay 4 dollars for the madeleine again. The girl who worked there was super friendly and gave me personal recommendations. Please support this place so I can keep buying the caneles, I'm begging you.“

Super solid breakfast sandwiches, I got a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. They have a good selection of muffins and donuts as well. Super friendly and quick service, plus they threw in a few donut holes in the bag with our muffins.“
