“Did the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Some of the cocktails were a little “meh”, and so I’d be more likely to do wine there in the future. The caviar on corn cake—one of the three starters—was probably the best bite of food I’ve had this year.
The crudo (the second course) seemed a bit lacking to me, but others at the table really liked it. Otherwise, everything was perfect.”
“Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We were very eager to come try this boulder location, it did not disappoint. The sweet potato is reasonably to come all on its own. We also had the agua chile, the coconut ceviche which is what dreams are made from, the pork and ribeye tacos.
My only critique is that tequila list is not made to be read in a dilly lit restaurant 😆”
“Absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to go back. The owner is warm, friendly, and so helpful. The crepes were fabulous!”
“My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Basta, and it was a truly wonderful experience. It's not often you find a restaurant that can impress a diverse group including my wife, my mother, and my mother-in-law, but Basta did so with ease.
We started our meal with a selection of appetizers that set a high bar for the rest of the evening. The burrata was incredibly fresh and creamy, a perfect complement to the rich, smoky flavor of the olives. But the real star was the focaccia bread—warm, airy, and with just the right amount of salt, it was impossible to stop at just one piece.
For our main courses, we chose two pizzas and a vegetable dish. The zucchini was a fantastic addition, with the fresh, crisp vegetable elevated by the vibrant basil romanesco and the satisfying crunch of the breadcrumbs. The clam pizza was a delightful surprise, with the briny clams and a hint of lemon perfectly balanced against the smoky, blistered crust from the wood-fired oven. The Daisy pizza was a testament to the restaurant's philosophy of using high-quality ingredients; simple yet perfect, with a wonderfully flavorful tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella.
To finish our meal, we decided to indulge in all of their desserts, and we were not disappointed. Each one was a perfect ending to our dinner. The Campfire vanilla ice cream had a unique, smoky sweetness that was balanced by the vibrant and refreshing orange and beet sorbet. The sweet corn ice cream was an unexpected and delicious highlight, while the rich chocolate budino with pistachio butter was pure decadence. And of course, the donuts were a warm, fluffy, and perfect final touch.
Basta’s combination of a warm, inviting atmosphere and truly incredible food made for a special and memorable night. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall great experience. We left feeling completely satisfied and already talking about when we could return. I highly recommend Basta for any occasion, whether it's a date night or a special family gathering.
Special thank you to Suzanne and Chef Alex for creating such a special evening.”

“very nice staff. a quick tasty lunch and you get a lot of good, fresh food for under 20$.”
“Our first time dining at this place though we have wanted to go for a while after someone posted about it after they opened. Finally made it and glad we made reservations as it was packed since it was peak time Friday evening. Spoke with Koji-san, the owner, while we were waiting for our table and he also stopped by each table to check on them which we thought was great. We had the takoyaki, kaisen-mix okonomiyaki and the spicy miso ramen. All came within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious! Koji-san explained the background of offering takoyaki, which was so interesting and great for him to share. We will definitely be back to try the other menu items, esp their sushi, which looked delicious! Great to see a business busy and doing well!”
“This is such an excellent restaurant, and a very special family-owned business that warms my heart every time I go in. There's no other restaurant in the Boulder-Denver area that compares for its quality of ingredients, perfect execution of the hot and cold traditional dishes, great sake selection, and friendly ambiance. They do the best salt-grilled mackerel I've ever had, the best agedashi mochi, the best nigiri sushi--and the miso-simmered dishes are amazing and hard to find elsewhere. The prices are fair and the food beats more expensive places in Denver. Yes, sometimes a dish will be sold out--but that's because they do everything fresh! I always feel taken care of there, and I always leave happy and well-fed, and thinking about my next visit.”

“I LOVE this place. The service is impeccable. They remember their regulars, greet us with warmth, and give little perks.
They change the menu frequently and I was so sad then they removed the Truffle Beef Tartare - it was hands down the best tartare I’ve ever had AND one of the best dishes. Ever. I would do anything to have that back on the menu. Even if it’s just a “call back menu” of the locals favorites or something like that… as long as it includes that dish. I have dreams about it. SO GOOD!!
The current tartare is still pretty good. 😌
The pistachio crème brûlée is also a 🏆 🍮”
“Came in during The Christmas season and I have NEVER been in such a wonderfully dreamy and Christmassy decorated establishment!! It was so, so cute and everything we had was delicious! We came in for apps and drinks and got a holiday cocktail, the pretzel, and a devine apple strudel dessert! You will not be disappointed if you decide to stop in!”
“lovely ambiance, I love the banquette seating at some tables so can sit close to my boyfriend on date night ! bouef bourgeon was fantastic and they have interesting cocktails”

“My husband & I and our little dog had a fantastic stay!
They covered the basics and so much more.
Location is just about a mile from Pearl street with dozens of restaurants. The beds are comfortable. Rooms are set up efficiently with an L-shaped coach & desk. Free breakfast and wifi. Easy street parking if you want. Coffee available even after breakfast hours. Cookies in the evening.
Nice surprise — trivia in the lobby bar area Monday night.
And the best part was the staff, especially the manager Matt. The staff are friendly and work as a team. At check it there was just one other person checking in and the bartender jumped in the open a 2nd line
It’s a national chain, but we had a family owned business experience.”
“Went in for lunch a couple days ago with a friend for a couple of burgers. There was one server, one cook, maybe a dishwasher. It was not busy but wanted to give a thumbs up to our waitress cheyenne. She was so polite thoughtfull kind. I felt bad that she was on her own as hostess server busses and we left her a 50% tip now I wish I would have left 100%. Next time I'm in there im sure I will. If the manager reads this, give her a raise, she deserves it!!”
“The people working here are honestly awesome on Friday night (Feb 7th) after I worked and wanted to grab stuff on the way home from work and went through the drive thru, their screen ended up freezing up and I sat there for a minute or so not knowing what to do lol but I thought it was on me and felt so dumb and just pulled up- and was met w only kindness, apologies, they gave my food for free🥲🥹I can’t b eating mcdonalds every day but when I do have it I’m coming here bc I’ve never had a bad experience. Blessings for the individuals working here- they work so hard and are constantly serving people and I’ve never felt anything but positivity from them/ and in this world that’s everything.”
“Very nice place. Clean. Folks there super nice! Beers are delicious! We had a great time. Definitely would go back!”
“sam is amazing and has checked in on us multiple times and we are having great service!”
“When I sat at the bar tonight Kinley was my bartender and she was GREAT. She was friendly, personable, and efficient. I was having a bad day and came in on a whim to relax. Not only did I relax, but I also had a couple great drinks and fun conversation. Thanks Kinley! I’ll be back soon!”

“Got to VIB in Denver last night. Stopped up to McDevitt Taco Supply roof top restaurant and bar. Happy hour was in progress. Sampled 4 different tacos. All excellent bursts of flavor. And the MTS staff and owners are excellent. This is what a first class experience is supposed to be.”

“I'm visiting Denver from Chicago and after dinner with friends we decide on a whim to get ice cream. The closest shop? Sweet Cow - Highlands! Do we know anything about it no? Nope. Does it have gluten free, dairy free? Yep. Cool, let's go. So off we go... First of all, we arrive at an adorable clean little shop where literally everyone is happy and having a good time. The tunes are jamming. The line is moving. It's a great space. We get to the counter. The staff greeted us enthusiastically, asking what can they get us. I have no clue. literally everything sounds delicious. I'm in choice overload panic. Zoe (give her a raise) asks if I'd like to try something. You know I would love to! What's my limit? I'm thinking 2... if I'm lucky 4... Zoe says (and I kid you not), "Wanna try all 24?" Wait, what?! I can do that?! Should I do that?! Another nice staff member with beautiful red hair whose name I didn't catch (so sorry) says "You can, and of course, you should." I mean, twist my arm. I'm in! I'm escorted out of the line to the little counter bar where Zoe provides a cup of 24 little wooden spoons in a cup and a cup for when those 24 little spoons get used. She then cheerily and patiently leads me through a delightful taste test of 24 of the most delicious ice cream flavors I have ever tasted in my life. I dislike berries, but even all the berry flavors were good. I'm not vegan, but the vegan flavors tasted like non-vegan ice cream. They even had a Gatorade sorbet that was out of this world refreshing. Zoe didn't rush me even once. She seemed to be having as much fun as me. Trying to narrow down the selection afterwards was excruciating, but it was so worth it. Everything was excellent. The customer service, the product, the experience... I would without doubt, one hundred percent recommend this shop to everyone who comes to Denver. It is a must visit right up there with the mountains. Truly. Unequivocally. 5 GOLD STARS, 2 THUMBS UP. LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.”
“I’ve been using Skratch for awhile. Switch between it and Tailwind but I prefer Skratch for my marathon training. The carb/ sodium ratio is exactly what I need for my fall race. The passion fruit guava is amazing. Wish it was not a limited edition flavor. All of the flavors are great as well. Definitely recommend Skratch”
“One of my favorite sushi places in the neighborhood, always friendly staff, always delicious and fresh food including their sushi. The place isn't very large and is quite cozy which adds to the overall atmosphere. Have been here several times ans probably would be here more often if I could. Know the owner, from earlier days and he and his wife are always so friendly and warm. Enjoyed fresh sushi as well as their eggplant and agedashi tofu.”

“This family owned and operated restaurant is a must visit. The food is so tasty and flavorful. Using organic corn, they hand make their own masa. It really pays of in the flavor or their tacos, gorditas, and quesadillas. The veggies are locally sourced. The meat is roasted and cooked to perfection. The prices are also very affordable! At the time of this review, they did not have their liquor license, but we were allowed to bring in our own beer, which we brought in from a local brewery. The goal is to have margaritas and more once they get their license. I highly recommend this place, for lunch or dinner, for a date or for the family. I will be sure to return. *No photos of food because we ate it too fast, but it was super yummy! We tried the chips and guacamole, the burrito with barbacoa, and and combination plate. Even the rice and beans sides were delicious!”

“Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. It’s definitely not like other expensive restaurants and you only get a small amount of food. I am definitely going back.🥰”
“We went today for the first time and LOVED the meatballs, caesar salad and the lamb pepperoni pizza with a pumpkin beer taster and glass of cab!!! I will be back and soon! Oh… the dessert was so yummy and unique flavors!”
“Everything was great, our favorite were the pastelitos ! Check them out!”
Cheap Eats
“Well this was just delightful! For a few bucks, this was easily an hour's worth of information, entertainment, and sampling. The tour was really informative, and our tour guide had a good sense of humor. The gift shop has way more than just tea for purchase, and things are reasonably priced. The samples were great! They'll give you as much as you want.
Bonus tip: Don't miss the photo ops in the tasting room with the sleepytime bear. (Sexy husband not included!)”
“There are places that placed the priority on the atmosphere to the detriment of the food being served. May Wah has consistently delivered great food, lots of choice, in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong: the atmosphere is most agreeable...(they have a round table with lazy Susan for instance) but the star of this show are the menu choices. I recommend you give them a try!”
“I love it here!! I order the house chai with almond milk and their coffee, both are so delicious. The view is one of the best in terms of coffee shops in Boulder, and the cups are so cute!
Also, the atmosphere inside is great they have plenty of outlets, the music is pretty calm, and the plants inside look like they are all thriving.
Can't wait to come back!!”
“Amazing food and incredibly polite staff. I will definitely be back! I highly recommend it.”
“Had a great meal here for lunch a few weeks ago so decided to use their catering for our baby shower. The food was so delicious and their customer service has been nothing short of wonderful in our experience. It is by far the best middle eastern food we have had in all of Colorado since moving here over 1.5 years ago.”
“Great local spot! Full bar with great food, large beer and liquor selection with multiple pool tables and bar games. Make sure to go on karaoke nights (Wed, Fri, Sat) because they are always a blast!! Shoutout to the bartenders and support staff who always take care of their guests.”
“Absolutely delicious!! Beautiful clean restaurant with tasty food. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to come back. Finally a place in town with options for Dumplings and Bao Buns!”
“Came in during The Christmas season and I have NEVER been in such a wonderfully dreamy and Christmassy decorated establishment!! It was so, so cute and everything we had was delicious! “First time dining and delish! We ordered 4 different tapas. Each one had amazing flavors. We had the meatballs, croquettes, mussels and patatas. Yum!”
“the mussels were exquisitely cooked, and big! Loved the romaine and pear and cheese salad, with candied walnuts for dessert! Highly recommend Russel's place, been going for years..”
“Karaoke!!! You want to sing come on by and they will fire up the mike. And don't forget about the unbelievable food. Just outstanding.”
“Sushi Hana is excellent, they always have really good food and great service. Their fried rice and sushi is so good”
“My husband and I had a great time on our tour of Avery Brewing! Gabe was a fantastic guide and provided thoughtful information about the brewing process and what sets Avery apart from the rest. We enjoyed trying all the tastings and discussing the flavor profiles of each type of beer. We'd highly recommend this brewery tour to anyone visiting the Boulder area!”
“Amazing ribs, brisket, and innovative locavore veggie dishes-- a must for a Pearl Street lunch or dinner. Relaxed and fun environment, careful service and exceptionally delicious American cuisine!”
“SUCH an incredible date night!! The dinner was seamless in timing (we love longer dining experiences), and absolutely fresh and delicious. We felt incredibly safe having our own space. Our server was stellar, and we even got to share our meal with a couple of the farm pups! I can't recommend this enough!!”
“Best sushi I’ve ever had. We were traveling from out of state & the only thing I have to complain about is there aren’t any locations outside of Denver, ruined all other sushi for me. Can’t wait to come back.”
“Carelli’s — a carb-loading dream in Boulder 🤩
Carelli’s is an “authentic” Italian gem tucked in the heart of Boulder, Colorado.
First time in Colorado, first Italian dinner here — the night before my Boulderthon half marathon. A city full of runners, carbs were calling. I snagged a Saturday 7 PM reservation by phone the night before (do the same — weekends fill fast).
We ended up accidentally going full vegetarian. No regrets.
What we ate:
• 🥣 Asparagus & Leek Soup – Light, velvety, a perfect palate reset.
• 🥗 House Insalata – Crisp greens, zippy Italian dressing; simple but electric.
• 🍝 Angel Hair Alla Olio – A runner’s dream: delicate pasta, swimming in olive oil and garlic, with a sprinkle-as-you-please bowl of parmesan.
• 🍆 Eggplant Parmigiana (my dinner partner’s pick) – Bubbly cheese blanket, baked eggplant layers, comfort on a plate.
Complimentary garlic bread showed up warm and buttery but leaned dry — a little more olive oil would have taken it from good to grazie mille! Still, it paired nicely with the pasta’s olive oil bath.
Everything felt fresh, Italian without heaviness — perfect for pre-race fueling. Service was friendly and unhurried; the dining room cozy without being cramped.
Bottom line:
If you’re in Boulder (runner or not), book ahead, show up hungry, and expect honest Italian cooking with a few charming quirks. I’d happily come back on my next Colorado visit — whether chasing a PR or just a good plate of pasta.

“Conversation friendly; unique farm to table entrees; creative combinations always delicious.”
“We love Silver Vines in Arvada. The Malbec and Syrah are our favorites. Staff is great and live music on Saturday’s is our favorite. Highly recommend!”
“The Italian pasta menu was out of this world and hope it returns. The lasagne with wagyu beef was incredible - a perfect balance of delicious beef, fresh pasta and cheese. My personal fave was the squid ink spaghetti frutti di mare - the fresh tomato sauce combined beautifully with the seafood, and the saffron breadcrumbs made it all truly unique and unforgettable. The tiramisu was delicate, and the ricotta cheesecake with orange marmalade felt fresh and citrusy.”
“Visited Boulder Cork for our anniversary and had the most wonderful experience! All of the staff were so friendly and kind, our food was delicious, and drinks were tasty. Their dinner happy hour menu has great prices and really good options. The prime rib was delectable and the fish & chips were fried to perfection. Mud pie for dessert was incredible as well! Thank you for making our night special! Can’t wait to go back. ❤️”
“queso del mar and guac were excellent. no good margs
but service was mid. waited 30 min to be seated when we had a reservation. waited 15 more min to order by which time i was hangry. other issues too, seemed short-staffed
Evan was cute though:)”
“This place used to have the best happy hour in Boulder but it appears they have inflated the prices quite a bit on food and reduced their happy hour time frame and food offerings. They do have a great service team and outdoor seating. The food is spectacular! Go for dinner or brunch, skip happy hour.”
“Amazing food!!! Perfectly prepared chicken, salmon, brussel sprouts to die for - loved it. Friendly, attentive service. Clearly seems like a favorite with locals.”
“Fantastic five course German Style Beer dinner tonight in Boulder. So yummy and great pairing of beer to the food.”
“We had our wedding dinner/reception in the wine cellar. Brad and his team delivered a high quality experience. The renovated space was gorgeous and spacious for our 35 guests + staff - it didn't feel tight at all. The food and drinks were incredibly delicious and our guests kept raving about both. Also, the SALT team displayed our wedding cake beautifully and even dolled up the cake slices with whipped cream and strawberries.
10/10 recommend SALT for a smaller wedding!!”
“Everything. Sat with my daughter at the bar, and the bartender was incredible!!”
“Amazing food and great GF options!! Patio is super dog friendly and misters to help keep everything cool! Service was great as well! All around a super cool experience!”
“I was hesitant on ordering a crispy chicken sandwich from a “hotel restaurant and bar” but I’m SO glad I did. The room service was quick and hot, and it was the best chicken sandwich I’ve had.”
“Went to License No 1 last Friday for a comedy show. We enjoyed a drink in the speakeasy area before the show. The ambience was really nice. The comedy show was great - a few openers and then the headliner. Great place for a date night!”
“I went on a Tuesday night. Good crowd for midweek The Chicken Sandwich was probably one of the best I have ever had. Tender chicken, perfectly cooked. Lily waited on us. She was professional, polite and made for extremely enjoyable dining experience. Bartender made killer dirty martinis. I highly recommend. Fantastic staff”
“Best quick meal in Boulder! Hope to visit again soon it’s been far too long”
“I was told they closed Pig & Tiger and are opening a brick and mortar in Denver soon. This replacement was quite good, the mushrooms have a great flavor profile.”
“Large party of 10 had dinner on 4/5/25 and all of our meals and tapas were excellent. Restaurant is not too loud which is nice. Friendly servers. Bar service a bit slow, but drinks were very good. Ample parking which is tough in Boulder. Definitely recommend!”

“Our third year coming to Boulder but first time to The Post. Known for its GF fried chicken, it's a heavy chicken and meat menu but surprisingly good menu for two vegetarian kids in my family. They loved the cheddar biscuits, quinoa &kale salad and cauliflower app. One even asked to go back two nights later. It's a fun vibe and a good drink selection. And the GF chicken is that good.”

“Food was alright, I’ve had better suishi in boulder tbh. Just go next door if you want suishi. I think this is more of a place you go if you want more of a spread of Japanese food.
Service however was incredible!!! Jessica is a GOAT! Great suggestions very happy with the service!”
“We recently expanded our home and entrusted the electrical fit-outs to an exceptional team. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the project. Among the highlights were the installation of several skylights equipped with electric shades. These remote-controlled shades not only enhance our home's aesthetic but also offer convenience and energy efficiency. We are thoroughly impressed with the quality of the work and the seamless integration of modern technology into our living space. Highly recommended for anyone needing skilled and reliable electrical services!”
