The food here is absolutely amazing. Best burger I've ever had and the brisket is awesome too. Their customer service is outstanding. Staff went above and beyond. Can't recommend highly enough and can't wait to go back!
Food was incredible. Nothing that I had before. Quality food, outstanding service, out-of-this-world spices/taste. Price is very affordable. Be back again and again... Guy Fieri should definitely check it out.
Food and Service were both top shelf. Fresh ingredients with a distinctive and unique menu. I tried the pretzels and mac & cheese bites from the appetizers and cannot recommend them more. My friend had the ravioli's and they were simply delicious. I also had the royale sandwich which uses tender brisket smoked for like 13 hours the chef told me. I got to meet the owners as they visited my table and chatted with us. The place is clean, restrooms were spotless and the mural on the wall gave the place a true sense of character I will definitely be back!!
Best brisket in town. Hands down. My fiance let me try a bite of his Royale burger and I regretted all the other BBQ I've had in Detroit. I am obsessed with the egg burger. Yolk is just runny enough without being super sloppy. Burger buns are incredibly yeasty and toasted. All the attention to detail the chef put into his food really shows when you take your first bite. Did I even mention the shakes? Just go, bring some friends, and get ready to eat.
I will definitely be back! More casual than I was expecting, but the food more than made up for it. You can tell everything was made from scratch, and the chef/owner even came out to see how everything was and genuinely cared. We got the Royale burger, fruity pebbles milkshake, fried mac & cheese, and parmesan-herb fries. Everything was full of flavor!

High quality cocktails and probably the best organized cocktail menu in the city. Every drink is organized by liquor with graphics showing you the ingredients, the glass it comes it, and three adjectives to describe the flavor of each drink. The place is a little small and they love to cram people in so it can get tight (even for standing room) on the weekends. The only major downside is that they blast the music here way more than necessary and have terrible interior acoustics. I love the drinks but I typically cannot even have a conversation with the person standing right next to me. If they would just turn down the volume, I would go here far more but its no fun to head to a bar and not be able to converse.
What an awesome atmosphere! The drink options are unique, yet you can get your favorites if you are not feeling adventurous. If you want to sit at a table, you better show up early. Side note: if it is after 9:00pm on a Friday or Saturday, don't be "that guy" and order food and sit at the bar all night. You'll likely piss off the bartenders and the 50 people behind you waiting to order a drink. Back to the review: I definitely recommend going here and I will be back!
The atmosphere is really cool and intimate, the artwork on the walls is awesome and the servers are really attentive. We had cocktails and desserts and all were amazing! Definitely a great spot for drinks.
The location, atmosphere, and craft cocktails here are amazing! Service was very good as well. Highly recommended! Also, reserve a table! It can be busy often.
Great food, cocktails, and especially great service. Be prepared to wait at the bar on Friday or Saturday nights (reservations are only taken Sunday through Thursday), do yourself a favor and order a drink. Don't worry about edging up to the bar, a server will ask if they can get you anything. We enjoyed our burger, duck salad, cauliflower, and beverages. Entrees and appetizers reasonably priced.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. Someone here is thinking about the menu and not doing food as usual. Very nice. The wait staff was quick and professional. Attentive but not intrusive. Our entrees were served hot (a rarity these days it seems) and were tasty.
First time in Detroit and had a fab time. The best Eggs Benedict ever. I think they called them Benny. I had mine with salmon, which was sliced perfectly. The eggs didn't get cold with salmon. Love the arugula, red onions, capers with yummy hollandaise sauce. Really good coffee and mimosa with peach champagne. The Bloody Mary looked delicious but I had already enough drink. Can't wait to go back.
Super cute little place downtown. I came in for lunch and it was not too crowded, we got seated right away. As for food I got a cup of soup it was ok a little too heavy for my liking but had good cauliflower flavor. I shared the pork rinds with a friend it is a large portion, sharing is a good idea. They come out super hot and fresh, eating them was like nothing else I have had, however if you do not like hot get it without the pepper sauce. For drink selections they have a great variety of hot teas to pick from.
This place is really good! Fun atmosphere and a quite varied menu. Went for brunch, had the spicy belly eggs Benedict and it was great! Multiple options for those with different diet requests and super accommodating staff. Definitely seems as if they use good quality ingredients and really care about the overall experience. Excellent choice for a morning downtown.
I love their sausage omelette. Their to-go service is reliable and professional; they have a smaller to-go menu. Have yet to try the drinks. It is always very busy here so plan accordingly.

Hidden gem. Great food for affordable prices right in the heart of downtown. Service was wonderful. Fried grits!!!! 💣💥
The appetizers, drinks, and service were all VERY, very good! Steak, salmon, and burger all were cooked perfectly. I wish the ribeye had some flavor though. Throw on a rub, or maybe smoke it a few minutes before presentation. The atmosphere is no-frills, but the building has a long, interesting history and the restaurant's social mission is awesome!
Horrible service, music was so loud you can't hear your waiter or the person you're sitting next to. Burger was over cooked, drink had old Pepsi, order was completely wrong due to the waiter not being able to hear us over the loud music. We asked to turn the music down, they said that they couldn't. Waiter never came back to make sure our incorrect order was correct. The manager had an attitude that we were dissatisfied and said "yea the music is kinda loud, huh?" Don't come here. Waste of $40 for horrible service, food and drinks. Would've rated 0 stars but Google doesn't allow that option.
The food and service here was great, a very friendly place. This was my favorite meal in Detroit!
I came here to support a local #sanctuaryrestaurant and I wasn't disappointed. I had an incredible Saturday evening here with my fiancée. The eggplant and the burger were delicious, as were the drinks, and the service was great. It also just feels good to eat somewhere that's doing good for the community. I can't recommend this place enough.

If you're into that greasy spoon Food Channel challenge, it's AWESOME! I've worked in restaurants ALL OVER the U.S.A., This is a JEWEL IN THE RUFF! GREAT build a burger availability! Service is on par! Jeff is a we'll capable bartender! Keep it up you guys!
This was our follow-up choice of restaurant, when we rolled up on another location and they were closed for clean up. I consider it a big stroke of luck that they were closed, because Mercury Burger Bar was AWESOME! I was nice and hungry, so I was able to get a bunch of starters and three entrees. Everything was top-notch. Their meats, cheeses, bread, and veggies were all fresh and flavorful. Everything was expertly crafted, with a fine attention to detail. They had some pretty awesome drink options, too. Be sure to treat yourself to a shake or Boston Cooler. It was even more impressive how perfectly prepared the food was, considering how busy the restaurant was. I'm a big dude, with an even bigger appetite, and I walked out totally full. The portions are really generous, every morsel of food was delicious, and all of it was very reasonably priced. It was "so cold in the D," but we were toasty warm in their outdoor beer garden because of the overhead heaters, and tent enclosure. Our server was super-friendly, helping us chose from all of the options, and managed to get our food out quickly amid the completely full dining room and beer garden. He treated us like we were best friends, and never faltered once while tending to numerous tables. During our trip to Detroit and the St. Clair Shores area, this was - by miles - my favorite place to eat during the trip. If I'm ever in the area again, in the shadow of the old Michigan Central Station, Mercury Burger Bar is absolutely top of my list of places to stop and eat.
Went in for a late night dinner. Service was friendly. Ordered a burger and shake which came quickly. One of the best burgers I've had in years. Shake was very small and way over priced. Burger and other food items fairly priced, though. Located in the Corktown district of Detroit just west of downtown. (Across the street from Slo's BBQ) A bit inconvenient but worth going to.
Probably my favourite burger place in Michigan. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is comfortable, the prices are good for the quality of the food, and the outdoor seating (they have indoor) is even better. If you love a good burger place coupled with good service, Mercury is the place to be!
Great burgers. My fav is the onion burger. Layers of onion flavor and texture. Fries and tots are both really good. I love the poutine fries and the garlic fries. My in laws are still talking about the milk shakes here a year later. Good drink options.
