The place has history and has been around for a long time, making it fun to visit and see locals enjoying their meals. Parking can be difficult, but it is worth it for the food. “I was visiting Honolulu from Wisconsin, and this food truck ended up being one of the best surprises of the whole trip. I’ll be honest the walk to it looks a little sketchy at first since you head down this small alley, but don’t let that fool you. Once you get back there, it’s a whole different story. The customer service was awesome super friendly, super welcoming. And the food? Straight-up 10/10. The loaded barbecue fries were insane, packed with flavor and totally worth every bite. “What a fantastic little place!! It's a little out of the way and tucked into a small space, but don't miss it!

The space is fantastic and well designed. Lots of colors and very bright. I felt great just being in there!!

The staff was amazing (I think it was the person that owned it). She was super nice, and very helpful! She was excited about her product and it showed. She asked me where we were from and hand a nice quick chat.

They explained that all the syrups were made by them and were natural. There was lots of fresh fruit included. It was wonderful and not overly sweet.

Price was pretty typical for the higher end shaved ice, but a good size and well worth it in my opinion.

“The most amazing hidden gem. If you’re craving some southern food on Oahu, especially a good brunch, this is it! My favorite is the bacon egg n cheese biscuit with a side of gravy and a side of grits. Get there early if you want grits, they run out! Been here twice already and can’t wait to go back!“

“I came here on 2 seperate occasions and I have a mixed rating for it.

I would say the food is excellent. Very very good stuff.... but the wait time is atrocious.

I had an aloha smash burger, a loco Dog, and a chicken sandwich on the 2 trips. The food was fresh, great tasting and the fries were outta this world tasty.

Now onto the issues. I work in the food industry and have ran pretty much every cuisine under the sun. I have done so for 15 years and I think the wait times are ridiculous. Both times I went there I literally had to wait 50 minutes one night and an hour and 10 minutes the next night for food.

I would have just gotten a refund and went somewhere else if other places were open because while the food is absolutely top notch, the wait times make it not worth it and there wasnt many people ahead of us either of those times. 7 customers first night, 9 customers the longer night.

I understand they are working out of a small area with limited resources but it seems as though they have outgrown their space. 50-70 minutes for a burger, fries, and hot dogs is ridiculous any way you slice it.

Those guys are working hard and they're ingredients are fresh but from one chef to the next, you need to expand to a new area to allow yourself to grow. Working off of a small flat top and a table top plug in deep fryer will not being able to keep up with the demand and im hoping for the sake of your restaurant, it doesn't tarnish your reputation because as I said above..The food is phenomenal and these guys can cook up a mean dinner.

Only issue is they are holding themselves back from moving to the next level with the small space and crazy wait times.

When you can only do one ticket at a time because of limited space, the current work model isnt going to work out long term. I dont mind a wait for good food but I have to admit, this was the longest wait time Ive ever experienced for food in any setting.

I hope you guys live long and prosper because you know how to cook some great food. Take the risk and jump into a bigger space, I have faith you will be successful.

Only hesitation I have in returning again in the future is placing an order at 9pm but not being able to eat until after 10pm even if the food is phenomenal.“

I had the cold brew with coconut cold foam- the flavor profile was smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. My friend was torn between the rose matcha and honey matcha, and the barista went above and beyond by mixing the rose and honey syrups (even though it wasn’t on the menu!) so she could enjoy the best of both worlds. The matcha itself was fantastic- vibrant, not too sweet, and really well balanced.

The baristas here were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. Honestly, I’d recommend Better Daze over Sunrise Shack if you’re in the area!“

The space is very clean, and the coolest part about this shop is their incredible selection flexibility. If you're not digging what they have on tap, you can select literally anything from their massive options in the refrigerators. They will charge you a nominal $2 corkage/service fee to put it into a glass for you to enjoy right there!

Another great feature is that they even have some hard seltzer options if beer and wine are not your thing. It's also conveniently located in SALT Kakaʻako, so the energy and atmosphere around the area are pretty cool.

“I have been here about three times and it’s a much better café than the exterior belies in an adorable side storefront right off Waialae ave. The Ono smoothie is excellent., as is the iced latte with a nut milk - try it with coconut and ube flavoring. I also recommend the fresh baked ube cookies. You can order ahead for pick up about 15 minutes out or they are pretty fast if you show up in person.

There is not much room inside and outside, so I wouldn’t come here with like a group expecting to hang out . There is street parking and off street parking.“
