“I have been here about three times and it’s a much better café than the exterior belies in an adorable side storefront right off Waialae ave. The Ono smoothie is excellent., as is the iced latte with a nut milk - try it with coconut and ube flavoring. I also recommend the fresh baked ube cookies. You can order ahead for pick up about 15 minutes out or they are pretty fast if you show up in person.

There is not much room inside and outside, so I wouldn’t come here with like a group expecting to hang out . There is street parking and off street parking.“

“Can't beat a local bread shop that makes delicious baked goods at unbeatable prices. Ordering is easy online and pick up is quick and efficient. Parking is available in a parking lot behind/adjacent to the building. All of the breads and baked goods are larger than you'd expect. The ciabatta is over a foot long and the slice of potato focaccia was the entire length of the bakery box (started eating before I remembered to snap a photo 😅).“

“This hotel is unique and comfortable with the conveniences you need either on site or within a few minutes walking distance. Open air ambience downstairs and in hallways so you’re always catching the island breeze, B-side has your coffee needs right downstairs if you’re a coffee person. Beds are comfy, dimmer switches on all the lamps, black out curtains if you need sleep to combat time change at any hour, multiple charging outlets to accommodate your electronic charging needs. The pool area is cozy and feels very secluded, family friendly…saw lots of people with children. Even the furniture in the lobby is comfortable. Everything was prompt and no hassle from check in to valet parking to check out. I do recommend valet parking simply for the convenience, it was nice not having to worry about seeking out parking then walking back to the hotel after every excursion or having to go get the car every morning. I’m so glad we chose this particular hotel.“

“A hole-in-the-wall place with a ~really~ good burger and fries. Probably the best on Waikiki, or at least the best I've found so far. Generous portion sizes, too. The only knock I can give is it's not "fast" food, like you might expect for a hole-in-the-wall place: Burger was (perfectly) made to order, so it took around the same amount of time to make as it would in a sit-down restaurant, but other than that, it was great. If you're looking for a burger you can grab and take to the beach, this is the place to get it.

Parking: Only parking is what you can find in the garages on Waikiki.“

The place has history and has been around for a long time, making it fun to visit and see locals enjoying their meals. Parking can be difficult, but it is worth it for the food. “My favorite meal during my trip was at Southern Love, and I do not say that lightly. The food is clearly made with Love, as the title implies. It might seem off beat to get Southern food in Hawaii, but you would be remiss to not eat at least one meal at Southern Love. The authentic southern cooking (again, done with love) does take time, so prepare for a little (but not unreasonable) wait for your delicious meal! While you wait for the food (that will blow your socks off!) you can enjoy the ambiance of an at home experience that matches perfectly with the best local dining in the South.

We were lucky enough to have the special chicken sandwich, coated in fried honey crust with perfect tints of spice, with friggin' Mac 'N Cheese on top!! This sandwich slayed!! I saw it, thought no way I could finish it...and then couldn't stop myself from leaving the plate spotless!

In short, thank you Southern Love for an amazing meal and experience! All of the stars for the perfect Southern Love mix with lovin' Hawaiian feels!!“

“Great service, and really good burgers. I got the aloha burger with bacon and egg added and that burger absolutely did not disappoint, probably the best burger I ever ate hands down. We also got the keiki sliders and a teriyaki burger they both were good too. The burgers and fries were both hot and fresh.“

“Such a hidden gem on Kapahulu Ave! I stopped by during a food tour (right near Ono Seafood and Leonard’s) and was so glad I did. I had the cold brew with coconut cold foam- the flavor profile was smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. My friend was torn between the rose matcha and honey matcha, and the barista went above and beyond by mixing the rose and honey syrups (even though it wasn’t on the menu!) so she could enjoy the best of both worlds. The matcha itself was fantastic- vibrant, not too sweet, and really well balanced.

The baristas here were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. Honestly, I’d recommend Better Daze over Sunrise Shack if you’re in the area!“

Their sorbets are light, refreshing, and completely dairy-free. Perfect if you’re looking for a cool treat without the cream.

I especially appreciated how friendly and helpful the girl working was. She made great recommendations and created such a welcoming vibe.

It was the ideal way to cool off on a hot day in Honolulu.

“We celebrated a big anniversary at Pai and WOW - they made it extra special. We did the four course menu with wine pairings. The service was top notch. The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. Pai is definitely a must-try restaurant. We will definitely be back.“

“Our favorite local katsu place. You can't go wrong with either tonkatsu or the shrimp katsu. The tonkatsu is layers and layers of tender pork. The shrimp katsu is chunks of shrimp in a patty, then coated with panko. The shrimp is always tender and never rubbery. The bentos come with rice, a small scoop of potato salad on a bed onf lettuce, hasu, edemame, takuwan, katsu sauce and toasted sesame seeds. The katsu comes on abed of finely shredded cabbage. Shrimp katsu comes with a remoulade type sauce.“
