“Visited their new Lakeview location this past Thursday, and timed it right so my Pizza was ready right after the Cubs game ended. It was only a 15 minute walk to the restaurant. First time ever eating Milly's and I will definitely be back! Customized my own pizza with Pepperoni, Sausage and Ricotta cheese. Opening the box for the first time, this pie looked perfect. Generous amount of toppings, beautiful caramelized crust. First bite was nice and crispy and the entire pizza was full of flavor. I sat in one of their booths and ate half the pizza there! The staff was super friendly also, both guys were talking to me about the history of the company, and you could tell how passionate they were about making these pizzas. I will definitely be back again!“

“Celebrated my wife’s birthday here with three other families, as we were in Chicago between baseball tournaments. Not only was Coda di Volpe able to accommodate a same day reservation for a large party, but they went above and beyond, from personalizing menus with a birthday wish, to adding a special touch on dessert. With four teenage boys in tow, the menu provided ample carbs and comfort for them while we enjoyed a broad sample of the offerings - all were very happy with their meals! Cocktails and wine selection was also on the mark. Kudos to Jeremy and his staff. We came all dressed in white and he told us he knew he wanted to do something special for our party… they knocked it out of the park! Looking forward to coming back to Chicago and making a beeline for this restaurant… a no-brainer.“

“First off the food is incredible, the pizza is next level. The drinks are also insane too. They have great cocktails that are offered but the beer selection was my favorite. However, my favorite part of the whole night was the service, Yasmeen at the bar was so attentive. The bar was kind of empty and there was no one there and it was just me and my boyfriend, but I still felt like they were waiting on us and we weren’t ignored like they were trying to push us out of the bar. We went to the Photo Booth and had some cute pictures taken and got one of the strips, we were told they’d be another, but it never came. Almost 30 minutes later, Danny from the bar came up to me and said I think this is yours and handed to me the second strip. I just thought this act of kindness was so sweet. He didn’t have to do that but he still did. I really like this bar. It’s very cozy vibes incredible food, and immaculate atmosphere will definitely come back again and I can’t wait to come back again.“

“In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. They said they wanted to make sure my family was well-fed in our time of tragedy ❤ And the pizza is INCREDIBLE ❤ SPECIAL, SPECIAL PLACE“

“FIVE ⭐️ REVIEW — Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder Co. After six years of trying, failing, hoping, and trying again… we finally completed our epic quest for the legendary pizza pot pie. Attempt #1 - 2019 — The Great Post-Marathon Pot Pie Shutdown. We arrived full of optimism… only to find the place overflowing with marathon runners. The line snaked down the street, they started turning people away, and our journey ended before it even began. Attempt #2 - December 2023 — The Mysterious Reservation Era. That winter, they may have been experimenting with reservations… and every spot was booked nearly a month out. We were driving through Chicago with brave hearts and empty stomachs, but once again: ❌ Quest denied. ❌ Pot pie unreachable. ❌ Spirits temporarily crushed. Attempt #3 This Weekend — The Victory Chapter. We arrived at 3pm thinking we’d outsmart the crowds. 😂 Adorable. Still a 2-hour wait. The house salad (no meat for me) with that creamy garlic + honey-lemon-poppyseed dressing combo? One of the best salads I’ve had in my life. The Mediterranean flatbread? Absolutely incredible. The pot pies? Divine. We ordered half-pound versions and still had leftovers. The staff boxed things up mid-meal like culinary ninjas to make room for each new dish. “They seem to have three regular vegan options with no cheese: Arrabbiata, Mushroom, and Eggplant. They cut the pizza with scissors (yes, they use special ones only for the vegan pizzas) and weigh the piece. You pay by weight and they finish baking the par baked slices while you wait. It was very tasty and fast. There are plenty of bar style seats but no tables for groups. They seem to have a heavy hand with the red pepper flakes, which I love but you might not, and it’s already on the slices so you can’t remove it — consider yourself warned! If you want a crisp crust, flavorful slice this is pretty good. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-31“

“Simply stated, this is arguably one of the best NY-style pizza slices in all of Chicago (Chomp is slightly my favorite imo).
The crust had that char and initial crunch, followed by soft chew. The crust held firm during the fold. The ingredients were fresh and super flavorful. Sausage was fennel-forward and pepperoni was salty and savory. Cheese had that nice stretch and well-seasoned sauce!!

“Such incredible pizza! Zazas brings New York City straight to the Windy City. This shop serves pizza by the slice and whole pies. Hot honey pepperoni is always a reliable combo. The crispy cup and char pepperoni works wonderfully with the creamy risotto and kick of heat from the sweet hot honey. The sauce is bright and tangy. The dough was cooked perfectly—so crispy and great structure. The crust was very crunchy and satisfying as well. It had really amazing flavor due to the rosemary garlic oil, too. I recommend trying a white slice, especially the truffle mushroom. The mushrooms are really fresh and sharp along with a melty, cheesy base. I also tried a slice of their Grandma pie, which was amazing! You could really taste the vibrancy of the red sauce on this slice. The basil was super fresh and peppery. The bread wasn’t heavy at all and tasted sort of like a focaccia. If you’re craving a slice of New York, Zazas will do the trick!“

“The smash burger was hardy, juicy, and perfect size! The fries were my favorite side, and the hummus was really good! What I will say is I didn't like being told that me and my cousin had eat and get out before 12 because I guess it's brunch and it gets busy. I think they said this because we weren't drinking alcohol and they want to serve the crowd that's going to be coming in for bottomless mimosas. Felt like they cared more for the drinkers instead of the customers who are there to enjoy a meal and spend time with their guests who want to have a chill time. This is why I gave them a 4/5.“

“I was finally able to come here. I actually found this place through social media then I double checked the reviews on Google and Yelp, to ensure that it was good. It’s located in Pilsen. They do have free street parking but you have to look and double check the signs. It’s harder to find spots at night on a Saturday, when we went. You can also pay $3 an hour and park at the Ray Castro plaza.
When you walk inside, they have about 5-6 tables on the left give or take, then the bleachers on the right. You order then they bring it out to you. We ordered a 16” half margherita half longanisa & giardiniera tavern style pizza. It took about 45 mins. This pizza is good for 3-4 people. We ordered fries in the mean time to munch on. These are tasty since they are crunchy and not soggy. We also ordered an agua fresca ( made in house) and amor eterno drink. Both drinks were great. The service was half good half bad. The taller guy provided exceptional customer service. There was a shorter, skinnier guy that provided some very weak service. He looked like he didn’t want to be there. I had to ask him 3-4 times for a container to go. It takes 30 secs or less to do it. Minus half a star.
The pizza itself was delicious. The longanisa is a Filipino sausage that is on the sweeter side. The longanisa’s sweeter side helps balance out the giardinera’s spicier side. This was not overly salted. I don’t really trust reviews that can’t even provide a picture. No picture = did not happen. The margherita was delicious and savory. We also got ube and horchata ice cream, it comes in a good size cup for $7. The flavors taste great together almost like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with ube. Overall it’s a 4.5.“

“went to pizzeria portofino tonight for the first time. didn't know we needed reservations but luckily we were able to get in pretty quick. tried the octopus, calamari and then 5 different pizzas. the Fresca, due funghi, fall squash and pancetta, the classic cheese and the special Brussel sprout pizza. awesome quick service, everything was delicious and had amazing flavor. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been. excited to come back again and try other pizzas and probably a pasta or two.“

“We had such a great time at Gino’s East! The atmosphere was so fun and cozy, making it the perfect spot for dinner. The mozzarella sticks are an absolute MUST — seriously some of the best we’ve had. And of course, the pizza was delicious from the first bite to the last. Definitely a Chicago spot we’ll be coming back to!“
