“This is my second time here. Overall great vibe, but I think the food is a little bit too salty this time. The thousand year old egg is my favorite. Just be careful that the pepper topping is very spicy.Probably because it’s Chinese new year time, and also Friday night, service is slow.“

“Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish.Every single thing we ordered was delicious and so flavorful. I’m very picky about my Sichuan food and Chili exceeded my expectations.Definitely try the scallion beef pancake roll and the golden corn with salted egg yolk! (But really, try everything we ordered **see photos**)Interior is such a vibe. Service is incredible. We are in love. Will definitely come back regularly.“

“I literally LOVE this place. It’s pretty small at this particular location in the East Village, and for those who like a little room, it could feel cramped. But I honestly cannot even care about my arm space when the food is THIS damn good.My ultimate favorites are the wonton in chili oil. I can eat that every day for dinner.I’ve tried at-least five different dishes on the menu, and although I have my favorites, I’m obsessed with the food at large. I wish I’ve taken more photos, but take my word for it.This place gets packed so be sure to make a reservation if you’re planning to go for dinner time.Truly one of my favorite vegan restaurants in NYC.“

“Xiaolongkan’s spicy hotpot is something you never get tired of eating, and the more you eat, the better it gets! There are a lot of things on the condiment table, the cold dishes are super delicious, and the ice powder is free! The dishes are all fresh, and the best thing is the service from Ms. Yuki, who is really considerate! Must have five stars!“

“This is definitely some of the best Chinese I've had in New York! The environment is absolutely breath-taking and service is quick. Our server was very attentive and insightful about the menu. The roast duck reminded me of the duck I had growing up and they roasted it perfectly! We loved every single dish that we ordered -- you really can't go wrong when it comes to ordering. Recommend sharing family style with a group to get a taste of everything! Would recommend Uluh to anyone.“

“The environment of this restaurant is very good, very clean and tidy. The food not only looks beautiful, but the most important thing is that it tastes great, with good color and taste. The cooking method is top-notch, retaining the original taste of the ingredients. My favorites are the twice-cooked pork with salted vegetables and jasmine tea. And the service attitude is also very good, which is pleasing to the eye. The price is not high, the menu is very rich, and it is very good!“

“The portion of the green pepper fish in the stone pot is very large, and the peppery texture is very addictive. I also order the spicy chicken and it goes very well with the rice. I will come here to eat every time I take a break with my friends.“

“Every morsel of New Years dinner was perfect. Even the cold crumbs remaining after making Peking duck buns were juicy and flavorful. The soup accompanying the duck was impeccable and generously portioned. Sautéed green beans were super tender without being mushy and overdone. And far from gouging us for the favor of seating us on the holiday, the price of the duck was cut $10 in observance of the New Year. Lovely casual and welcoming vibe makes me resolve to sample the rest of the menu.Vegetarian options: Sautéed garlic string beans are a must, I expect pea shoots are stellar.“

“TLDR: New popular Sichuan restaurant near Hudson Yards and below Hell's Kitchen. Cool story, a doctor by day and chef by night. Excellent cocktails and a wide variety of food. Fish fillet with chilis was super pretty, the mushrooms with salted egg yolk are addicting and the mala trio is a great way to start!Tried this with a friend and overall pretty tasty. Nice cocktail program with a solid happy hour deal too. We tried the mala trio which was a nice appetizxer dish with three different mala bites. The fish fillets was chopped chilis was a super pretty dish. Double cooked pork was excellent, chongqing chicken was spicy. The mushrooms tossed in salted duck egg yolk was very enjoyable to much on. The dan dan noodle was probably more than we needed but nonetheless, any meal with a mouthful of noodles is happiness.I haven't been back since but I definitely will be. It's gotten much more busy since I came but that's always a good sign.“

“My husband's coworkers wanted to take him out for dinner and extended an invitation to myself. The restaurant staff were all so kind, amiable and professional. They made the entire evening so warm and welcoming. The chef even came out to say hello. The food was AMAZING. The lollipop chicken, the kung pao chicken, two different kinds of dumplings (I believe it’s called domo), spicy fried fish, a spicy noodle dish, the long beans, sautéed greens, and a meat filled “empanada” cooked to perfection. My first time trying Tibetan food and it did not upset. Thank you for such an amazing experience!“

“Came on a whim, during a flash flood. I was really damp when I entered but the atmosphere and food lifted my spirits dry. We were immediately seated, but we did have a reservation. No but seriously guys, let’s not mess around. This food was so yummy - or as my partner whispers in my ear “absolutely scrumdiddly”. I’ll be back - be ready for me.“

“My favorite part of this amazing place and food, I asked for spicy, but maybe not the 3 pepper hot my meal was tagged with....then I changed my mind not to be a pain and said "don't worry about it, give it to me with full spice". My server was genuinely worried, and revisited me to check in multiple times to make sure I was enjoying the meal, and not too spicy. It was so delicious...and so spicy and perfect!!“

“We ordered Lao Ma’s Hoof Flowers, Bobo Chicken, and Paper Wrapped Fish. As a Chengdu native, let me comment. The red oil of Bobo Chicken is particularly authentic, but the only drawback is that the chicken is very poor. The spicy paper-wrapped fish we ordered was delicious and the fish was relatively tender. However, the fish was too small, only a little over a pound by visual inspection. After all it was $68 fish, it deserved a bit bigger. I don’t recommend Lao Ma’s Hoof Flower Soup. It tastes good, but it’s not very authentic. Overall I feel the price is on the high side. The environment and service are very good, and the clerk is very enthusiastic.“

“Our family of four dined at this Spicy Moon Location and food was absolutely amazing and so were the cocktails. We had DanDan Noodles, steamed vegetable dumplings, both style of spring rolls, Szechuan rice all were absolutely great and if you need spicier they have a wonderful hot sauce. The place was packed…. The only comment is that everything arrived at the same time. Service was very quick and I believe its only an hour you are allowed to dine. All in all we enjoyed our experience.“

“I would say probably 3.5 over all so i gave it 4.I am local Sichuan guy, the food is so so. We ordered garlic pork rib, shaobai and fry bum.The garlic pork ribs lacks a bit of garlic and the chili oil does not taste like made in house. The shaobai was ok, but seems like boiled rather than steamed, further more, putting tofu there does not sound like a good idea. The fry bums are fermented, which seems a bit of weird. The portion is kind of small.Great service and good atmosphere. Tables are just too close, you will have some privacy issue and get embarrassed.“

“We visited Han Dynasty UWS on Christmas Day for an absolutely fantastic spread. We had a range of starters (the Pork Belly, and Crispy Cucumber were my favourites!), and a few entrees to share (the Hot Sauce Style tofu was a revelation, and the Three Cup Chicken a crowd favourite). One person in our party spent some years living in China, and she was loving every single dish, calling this one of the best Chinese meals she'd had in a long time.We enjoyed our meal at Han Dynasty so much that we ordered takeout a couple of weeks later, which was equally as great! Highly recommended for a slightly more upmarket yet authentic meal!“

“We really enjoyed this Chinese restaurant. We were 7 and they accommodated us without any problems. Food was delicious. Service very good as well. “i ordered their sichuan spicy dumpling, hot and sour soup, sautéed garlic bok choi, and crispy chicken (chicken cubes stir fried with red chili pepper). each dish was prepared well and had authentic flavor profiles. the dumplings had a silky soft skin with a well balanced ratio stuffing. they’re also sweet with a slight kick (not spicy). the chicken dish was cooked very well. the meat was crispy on the outside but had an extremely juicy and tender texture inside. the dish packed some heat but i personally love spice so it didn’t bother me. they have many other dishes i’d love to come back again to try (dry pot, braised beef silken tofu, salt and pepper shrimp, etc). highly recommend for some spicy szechuan cuisine!“

“For the last few days, I walked by Hui Restaurant on 70th between Second and First Avenues and the place was always filled with customers. I decided that we should come for dinner and I’m glad we did. While Hui had lots a very spicy dishes, we chose carefully since I’m not wild about the items that have pictures of hot chili’s next to their descriptions. We started with an appetizer of cold noodles with sesame sauce. It wasn’t spicy but it was very flavorful! We ordered the whole fish steamed with ginger and scallions. It was FANTASTIC! Our waitress, who might also be one of the owners, not only deboned the bass, but proceeded to make sure that we got all the fish that was edible by constantly returning to assist us with this delicate process. I asked her what her name was and she jokingly said: Grade-A! We also ordered Zha Jiang Noodles. Every thing we ate was delicious and while we were pretty full, Grade-A recommended for dessert, a warm mochi ball, called Sesame Sticky Rice Ball. This was possibly one of the tastiest desserts I’ve ever eaten anywhere! While this evening was our first time dining at Hui, we will definitely be returning often!“

“Holy cow was this food delicious! But be warned, some dishes pack a punch with the deeply aromatic spices. The flavors may not jive with people looking for typical Americanized Chinese food but it is definitely worth a try. Oh and especially the dumplings in chili oil and the red bean buns for dessert. The service was friendly and prompt!“

“Tonight is our last night in New York as a family. Already had my third meal here. We who love Chinese food are so lucky to find this Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended. If you like spicy food, it's basically safe. If you don't like spicy food, you can ask the waiter. They are very nice people. They have different seasonal vegetables every time you come. Remember to ask the waiter. The product is great, I will definitely come back next time I come to New York.“

“My favourite place in the area for quick, tasty, and affordable food. I’ve yet to be disappointed by any of their noodle dishes. The garlicky and slightly numbing Xi’an Cold Noodles and the tangy and appetizing Tomatoes and Eggs are my favourites. The service is quick and attentive. They’re always thoughtful in waiting to make my takeout order when I’m also dining in so the takeout will be hot and fresh.“

“Food 9/10Sooo many different skewers to choose from, I was in heaven. The bamboo sticks are $0.8 each, and the metal sticks are $5 each. A little on the pricey side, but I went for the lobster and the abalone in my hotpot and I have no regrets. I really went ham on the selection, there were so many different meats and vegetables, with a few favorites being the beef tendons, quail eggs, mushrooms, and many other beef cuts. They also have an a la carte menu, so we went for the cold cucumbers, fried pork sticks, and milk mochi dessert (麻薯). I also added some wide noodles to the hotpot, and I recommend getting the beef tomato soup base. The mochi dessert and flat noodles are my absolute favorites. Could not stop eating the dessert it was AMAZING.Atmosphere 7/10The interior had a comic-esque design wallpaper, with wooden simple chairs. Plenty of seats but the room was quite filled with diners. The only negative is the bathroom is in the basement and it is quite cold downstairs.Service 9/10Super speedy, really enjoyed how attentive they were. We also got some extra skewers in the end because they gave us an add-on order that was meant for another table lol“

“This Chinese restaurant is situated in Chinatown and is quite popular in the area. We tried the Chongqing Spicy Fish and Golden Beef Soup. Even though we only ordered two dishes, it was more than enough for three people. The Chongqing Spicy Fish was exceptional – one of the best I've had in the States. It's not just incredibly spicy but also very flavorful. Highly recommend it for fellow spicy food enthusiasts. The Golden Beef Soup was a unique experience for me, and it had a fantastic taste.
