“Asian Fortune' food is very good and when you order for delivery it always comes very fast. Only one time in all of the years we've been ordering food have they forgotten an eggroll. No big deal. Mistakes happen.. But the main reason I left 4 stars instead of 5 is because they do not do special requests. Ever. I normally order the pad tai. It always comes with the peanuts and sprouts on the side. One day, I wanted pad tai made with wide noodles instead of skinny noodles..and they said no. That was a few years ago. Tonight, I figured I'd try to see if they would make a special request. I ordered The pad kee mao, which is a spicy dish made with wide noodles.
I didnt ask them to change the dish..
I asked if they could give me a side of sprouts and chopped peanuts on the side(which id gladly pay for) so i can add them on to my pad kee mao myself. Nope. The girl said they have to make the dish the right way. Whatever that means. I didn't ask them to alter the dish. I asked to buy sprouts and chopped peanuts on the side.
Seems like such a simple request to make a customer happy..but apparently getting some peanuts and bean sprouts on the side is impossible to get. It's so weird...considering, we've been good customers for years i find it strange that they wouldnt do this. I mean, they will alter the spice level if you ask..they will leave out onions or mushrooms if you ask. But getting peanuts and sprouts on the side..absolutely not. Its such a small thing to say no to. And i dont get it. I wasn't asking them to alter the dish. I wanted a couple of tablespoons of peanuts and some bean sprouts on the side..which they always give on the with the regular pad tai which i was willing to pay for. Such a strange thing to say not to.“

“Came in for a quick bite and ended up really liking it.

I had a beer, pork gyoza, and the dried spicy udon with shrimp. Everything tasted really homemade and fresh, not heavy or greasy like some places.

The gyoza was crispy on the bottom, juicy inside, and the udon had a nice spicy kick with good texture. Super easy, comforting meal with a beer on the side.

“I’m so happy we have a halal pho spot in Astoria, and it’s GOOD, the pho is delicious, warm, and comforting, vibes are nice and they have a decent space to accommodate people. We got the lemongrass beef and short rib beef, both were really flavorful, portion size is very healthy, and pricing is very fair on the food. Star of the show was honestly the Vietnamese spring rolls, get those for sure if you stop by!“

Just keep in mind that if you sit outside at night, the music can make it difficult for the servers to hear the call button when you need assistance. Because of that, I’d like to give a special mention to *Brian, who was the only server consistently attentive to my table while everyone else kept walking past me! *Carlos was also incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the Bulgogi nachos are a 10/10 🫨“

“First time at this great spot with non veggie and veggie options so would be perfect for large groups. We had the ginger citrus boneless rib rice on, which was amazing. Nice citrus flavor a little bit sweet and serve with steamed vegetables. The signature bun burger – the oasis Baja and the beat it up incredible. Everything very flavorful and fresh and speaking as a non-vegetarian I would come here anytime.“

Price is based on weight, but one bowl around 1.5 lb was enough for the two of us. “Small gem in Sugar Hill. Noodles were tasty and got the perfect mouth feel. Buddha dumplings were great. The shop is small but it does have an outside area as well. Recommend to do the online order so you can pop in and out and not wait because everything is freshly done.“

“It’s a very Americanised Chinese restaurant (but that’s fine). It’s not as upscale as it looks in the pictures/they make it seem - it’s just a normal restaurant. They had a lot of takeaway orders though it seems.

I ordered the lobster shumai and it was definitely just prawn (shrimp) but they were actually genuinely very good so I won’t complain.

Lo mein was quite a large portion.

“Food is good tastes fresh. Ordered the sesame chicken with white rice. Fried rice isn’t an option. They need to substitute items one the menu to accommodate customers. Probably won’t be back here if I have to get a separate fried rice for $14.“

“My wife and I ate in Phoshime 2 days in a row as the food was amazing and the staff were lovely! We met on the second night with our NYC friends who we hadn't seen in nearly 26 years! The female staff member whose name I didn't get,heard us saying it had been nearly 26 years since we were all together and she moved us to a larger table with more privacy! I can't stress enough just how good this restaurant is in terms of the food, staff and atmosphere! If you like Vietnamese food and you're in New York then this is the restaurant to eat at! “I realized I’ve never left a review despite ordering from here for YEARS. E-chiban has some of the best sushi in town for quality and price. It’s one of the few places I get delivery from and the quality and portion size is always great. Their prices have gone up, but I do feel with how much they give you it’s worth it (especially the salmon sashimi dinner)! Their delivery driver (Mok?) is always so kind, remembers my name and order, and is great at his job. It’s nice being a regular here. I’ve tried other places nearby and they don’t come close imo.“

Its an outside food cart with limited street seating, but these guys were open at 10pm when it was 27° the other night and they still had a line of people. Absolutely worth every cent.

“Good food at a decent price. It’s a food cart so service is quick. They allow small modifications like removing a sauce or the salad. Only thing I can complain about is a small bone in the chicken at peak hours and a subpar workflow where if there’s a lot of people they’ll make 3-4 orders before anybody can get their food.“

Since it is rather cheap, the quality of the meat is most likely subpar, but it tastes absolutely delicious. Once or twice a week is completely fine—just make sure not to over do it.“

The fish is always fresh and the rolls are consistently delicious! My go to is the Star Tower. The amount of fish is very generous and it blends perfectly well with the rice, avocados, roe and sauces. It’s honestly one of the best sushi spots around, both for the food and the people!“
