“A happy place with fun Latin music and good food. We like to bring visitors for the atmosphere and great service.”
“Food was amazing 🤩 if you love steak 🥩 you must come here!!! We will be back soon for round two 🤣”
“5 stars every time. The food is always so good, and the quality is consistently amazing. My favorites are the chicken katsu and cheese katsu — both are so flavorful and satisfying. What makes the experience even better is the service. Everyone is always so kind, welcoming, and attentive, which really makes the restaurant feel comfortable and enjoyable to visit. Definitely one of my favorite donkatsu spots!”
“Excellent place to dine. Very fresh food. Some of the best tasting Italian i’ve had. Also not too expensive. The wine is great too! Great restaurant!”

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. Very nice open atmosphere and every table seemed very content.”

“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?”

“My boy friend and I tried this place for first time and it was delicious. I had the tomato and egg with chicken cutlet. And he had the chicken curry. Then we shared the bubble waffle with strawberries bananas and chocolate. We added the ice cream. Sooo good. If you are in Centreville. Try them out.”

“The food is always amazing and the staff is SO nice. Now that they have online ordering it makes pick up super easy! The best sushi in northern Virginia hands down”
“TL;DR: Good Korean Fried Chicken, but has lots of other dishes/options
I haven't been to Chi Mc for over 10 years, but we tried the newer Centreville location over the summer. Interior is very cute - dark lighting, string lights, etc. They have plenty of tables, but also a bar area with TVs to enjoy a game.
Service is always friendly, but at times they can be understaffed, so be patient. Food comes out quickly, except the fried chicken which they preface will take about 20 minutes, since it's made to order.
FOOD:
~Fries (5/5): nice and crispy; very well seasoned. Comes with ketchup and spicy mayo
~Fried Chicken (5/5): 2 Flavors: Soy Garlic or Spicy - both flavorful;
~~2 types: wings (typically wings/drumettes) or drums (giant drumstick)
~~We like the wings (the drums are too large and doesn't absorb as much flavor). It is so crispy and has a good amount of meat on it
~Tteokbokki (4.5/5): One of my favorite tteokbokkis in the area. Comes with dumplings and gimmari (but they get soggy fast). I add ramen noodles too. The sauce is usually a good consistency, but at times it is a little watery
~Maneul dakddongjip (2/5): chicken gizzards. It was just okay. Gizzards are meant to be chewy, but these were a little too much/kind of burnt. The flavor was a little lacking, and the dish was overall very greasy
~Chicken katsu with cream udon (5/5): The katsu was surprisingly really good, though non-traditional. Reminded me of country fried steak breading. The cream udon was very good. Udon was cooked nicely with great chew. The sauce had a lot of garlic flavor and wasn't too rich from all the cream. Nicely balanced.
~Beers come in a nice frosted mug which is a nice touch
Definitely have enjoyed every visit we have had here.”

“Loved all of the dishes!
Crispy Chicken Kapow- Must have. The crispy tender chicken with the fried basil and flavorful sauce topped on some white rice, amazing.
Shrimp Tom Kha- decent! Similar to tom yum, could be a bit more coconut-y
Beef drunken noodles- The noodles has incredible flavor. The beef- not so much. Noodles were thick, coated, and had lots of umami to them.
Beef spicy basil fried rice- loved it. So much flavor, the beef was great on this.
Penang chicken curry- very nutty, definitely something for people that don’t prefer spice, creamy and rich curry served with rice.
Creme brulee thai iced tea- loved it! Crispy sugar top with a creamy layer to mix in
Mango Creamy cheese drink- reminded me of mango lassi with a hint of cream cheese
TLDR: def go, try the crispy chicken kapow and beef basil fried rice”
“My family and I stopped by while traveling thru town. We ordered Bulgogi and Dak Kalgooksoo. Their Banchan were flavorful with the right balance of spice and heat. Entrée portions are generous. Our server was helpful and very nice. We were pretty happy to find this restaurant.”
“Place is cute and has this high chairs and chairs with tables for group of people.
You can order from their machine or the counter. The menu is truly wide and interesting.
We ordered 4 drinks but only have 2 photos which are mochi milk tea and creme brûlée milk tea. The other two drinks are black boba milk tea and yam brûlée. All of those drinks were enjoyed by our friends.
One of the good spots for good drinks either milk tea, smoothie, fruit tea and they have espresso options as well.
The staff were nice and easy to talk to. Overall experience was good.”
“This place has the soondae that is region specialty. It is going to be a hit or a miss for a lot of people especially non-Koreans. But what I can say is it is very close to how it tastes at a good restaurant in Korea. I am a fanatic for soondae and jokbal and this place food was really good. This place is 1.5 hours from me and I'd drive the distance to just eat this and drive back.”
“Excellent food and gentle people . Very cozy place to be with your loved ones.”

“Would've been a 5 star review but there weren't any diaper changing stations in either bathroom! Other than the inconvenience of finding a place to change our birthday girl it was great. The staff was friendly, the play area was clean and fun for the kids. Great place for a birthday if you don't have to change diapers!”
““Everything was absolutely delicious — the tofu kimchi, banquet noodles, and spicy bibim noodles! You can really taste the care and quality in each dish. The tofu kimchi was outstanding, the noodle soup had a comforting and refreshing broth, and the bibim noodles had amazing flavor and seasoning. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Korean food in Centreville! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐””
“I've eaten here before maybe 5 plus years ago. The food was pretty decent , I had the udon and it was pretty decent but could have used a little bit more flavor. My wife ordered the beef teppanyaki and she enjoyed it. My son ordered the tempura meal , he thought it was decent but it too could have used a little bit more flavor. I usually take pictures and add photos to these reviews but it completely slipped my mind this time.”

“I’ve gone here countless times with my girlfriend. The coffee beans are easily the best I’ve had, and their coffee drinks are equally amazing. The food is nothing short of incredible! Nobody beats it. It’s the only place that has given me the urge to dine in on my own, it’s that good! Service is perfect nearly every time. Can’t recommend this place enough!”
“We ordered out from here for lunch and absolutely loved it! The fried chicken was very crispy and juicy- I would definitely recommend the soy garlic flavor. The kimbap was also solid. The ramen was our favorite though. It's the perfect level of spice and the broth flavor was amazing!”
“I recently visited Cafe Bdan in Centreville. The location is conveniently located next to Hmart. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for either a relaxed solo visit or catching up with friends.
I tried their patbingsu and vegetable crepes, and it was delicious! Additionally their coffee taste good as well.”
“Amazing!! Not only was the service impecable, but the food was absolutely delicious! This will be our next go-to spot! You have to try the spicy fried potstickers 🥟 , don katsu, and Jjajangmyeon, with a cold Hite beer. 🍺 Hands down one of the friendliest restaurant owners I’ve ever met. I can’t wait to go back!!!”
“Came here with a group of friends and had an amazing experience. The kimchi is hands down the best I’ve had in the area — fresh, perfectly spicy, and not overpowering. I had the beef tofu stew, which was delicious with just the right level of heat. We also split the pork appetizer three ways, and it was a generous portion — more than enough as a side. On top of that, the food came out in about 5 minutes and still tasted fresh. Quick service and great food — we had a fantastic time. Highly recommend!”

“I have been here twice and the first time the service was not great, I was with a large group and the server messed up a couple orders and seemed generally anxious. I came last night with just 2 people and everything was amazing. I’m glad I came back, definitely suited better to smaller groups.”
“Best Korean fried chicken in DMV period. Lots of great choices but my personal underrated favorite is the Curry Snow Wings. Amazing kick to it. I highly recommend trying this place.”
“We went to this restaurant today.Food and service are super excellent.”

“I was craving Japanese curry and this is where I ended up. It's located inside the Lotte Asian supermarket, a food court. Look for table area and you will find a variety of small eateries, of which Hikari is one of. I got the Pork Katsu curry (there is also a chicken option instead of the pork). I enjoyed the meal, it was tasty and generous portion. The breaded fried pork tasted fresh and made to order. Even the simple small miso soup that came with it was tasty. I am usually not a fan of miso soup but this one tasted perfect. I will go there again.”
“A lovely boba shop of the highest caliber. You are sure to be delighted when you visit this fine establishment. The young bobaristas are always wonderful and ever so thoughtful! I always make sure to stop by this shop whenever I am in the area. It is so cozy and sweet. Oh, I just love this boba shop! Hurrah, to Gong Cha, hurrah!”
“One of the best pizzas I have ever had, the cheese, the garlic, the soft bread with crunchy outside and the air bubbles inside the bread were amazing, you can taste the fresh ingredients and how a real pizza is supposed to taste and smell, and all for a genuinely fair price”
“I've gone to this place only once and have fallen love with it! The lady that works here was super nice and she explained all the different red ginseng products and what's suitable for my health. After a long day of work, I take one pouch of 100% pure ginseng product, all my tireness gone!!! I highly recommend !!”
“My friend picked me up from the airport and am not even an hour later we were here. Paolah was a great wine server and host. She explained the wines to a T and she was a great time! Highly recommend! Keep her!”

“The best Korean restaurant in the area(probably best in VA)!
It is hard to find good Korean restaurant where main and side dishes are good, but this is the one. I eat here many times when I am craving for authentic Korean foods.all the servers are kind and know what they are doing.
This is Korean BBQ place with other Korean dishes, it is pricy like other BBQ places, but I think it is worth my money.
Only thing I do not like is, when you are there at a peak time, you have to wait. Also it can be very loud like typical Korean BBQ just like in Korea with people drinking alcohols but no biggie.”
“It’s tucked into a grocery store. I got there when they had their end of day sale so it wasn’t much to choose from but the sushi was good. And 50% off! No complaints”
“Great food, was able to customize the meal for my pickier kids. I added carrots to my Ramen and took out the mushrooms. Loved that I could customize so much of it! Kids loved the boba tea and the juice where you could add the boba balls to it. You could also pick how much sugar you wanted added!”

“Ida was our waitress. She was genuinely caring and sensitive to our situation of just losing a brother. She was helpful with menu items and offered hugs of comfort and care. I can’t say enough about her extra-ordinary care and attention to our large table. We all love her and will certainly be back for sure. Thank you for your prayers, love, and empathy regarding our loss. Idayou are truly a God-send this day especially. Thank you, The Eichlers and The Stewarts 7/2/2024”

“If you are craving some hot soup on a cold day, this is it!
1. Reservation: won't hurt, or else you will need to wait 30 mins during busy times. They have about ~12 tables and not a huge establishment.
2. Service: 4 stars. no nonsense, straightforward, aloof even. But I didn't care. They don't need to be super nice, just needs to be non unpleasant.
3. Food: 5 stars
pajeon: very good
hot soups: they are all great! they are specialized in soup and you can tell from their quality.
4. Ambience: homey, casual, family friendly.
If you are craving hot soup, this is the one!”

“I've been coming here every Tuesday evening with my family for almost 20 years. We park our car a half mile away and make the ritualistic hike into the boggy mosquito infested marshy stream that is Elkick Run. The only time we've ever missed a single weekly session was once when I was briefly a POW in Afgan.
I've never had any complaints. Until this last Tuesday. When we ordered our platter of 55 tacos, and what we were served could hardly be seen to be believed. These tacos are so small. I weep for the past.
I have attached a picture of the tacos next to my cat in the dining area for scale. Look at how small these tacos are. The tacos are right next to my cat. You can't even see them! 🥺🥺🥺”
