“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?”

“We had a wonderful dining experience! The kimchi was a standout—my friend ranked it in her top 5 of all time. The staff were incredibly sweet and even brought her an extra serving. We tried a variety of sushi, and every piece was fresh and flavorful. The squid legs were especially impressive, perfectly cooked and tender, not chewy at all. Each meal also came with a small peanut salad and a comforting bowl of miso soup, which was a nice touch. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“This place is a fun Korean restaurant, featuring meats (seasoned as you like, spicy or not) and seafood cooked at your table on a gas BBQ. Sides come with it and other dishes like japchae and soups are also available. Feed a group very well and be out in an hour! Only complaint is that it's very noisy, not the best for conversations. We had to wait for them to assemble a table for 7 people (no reservation), otherwise there would have been no wait.”

“This place was a pride of Koreans in the DMV area, a place that’s comparable to NJ or LA where all the good Korean restaurants are located; however, can’t say that anymore. Every menu here became ordinary. They are not bad but it doesn’t give me goosebumps like it used to. Especially Soondaetang became so average that I can’t even call this place Soondae specialty place. Again, still pretty good compared to other restaurants selling soondaetang, but would not give more than 4 stars here.”

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. Very nice open atmosphere and every table seemed very content.”

“We loved loved LOVED the macarons from Melody's Macarons!! We were looking for the perfect pastries to give as a thank you/christmas gift at our favorite hot pot place and we came across Melody's Macarons on Google. We called them up and within 15 minutes we were at the owner's front door placing our order. 5 minutes later, she came out with a bunch of beautifully decorated and wrapped macarons! My daughter could not stop gushing about how we need to bring macarons to every function from now on!

But the real star for me is their meatball pizza. The crust is thin, yet has that perfect crunch, while the sauce is rich and flavorful. The meatballs are juicy and seasoned to perfection, making each bite incredibly satisfying. The balance of cheese and toppings is spot on, creating a delicious experience that keeps you coming back for more. “By far of the best boba places I have ever been to. There is a kiosk up front where you can view the menu and order and they have a wide range of selections to choose from. There’s a good amount of seating, it’s never too crowded, and the inside is very nice with lots of cool authentic designs. Definitely a great place for a date or to hang out with friends and family. It’s also right by a lot of other establishments making this location incredibly convenient. Parking, however, may be limited as the lot is kind of small. Nevertheless, this is one of the best boba shops I have ever been to and you should definitely check it out.”

“This place is the best for soft tofu soup but I was craving some cold noodles, which were not in season yet. But they made a custom cold noodle dish for me with buckwheat noodles (bibim guksu)
and it was AMAZING. Unfortunately I was too excited to take a photo before eating it but if you love cold spicy noodles, please ask for this as it’s not on menu. It even had frozen watermelon balls in it, which was such a nice subtle sweet surprise. With fresh lettuce, cucumbers and boiled egg, it was like a home cooked Korean dish my mom would make.”

A little pricey but when you consider the cost of everything and how much is going into the drinks, it’s no different than anything else. We appreciated the kind tea makers confirming that we wanted each of the ingredients and really wanted to ensure they got our drinks correct. We signed up for the loyalty program and will definitely be back to try other drinks. We enjoyed mango and strawberry machi. Our first but definitely not last visit!”

I had to wait to get the chicken, but the chicken was fresh and tasted great. “One of the most efficient and quick restaurants I have ever seen with an almost overwhelmingly large menu. It’s also cheap to boot. I really like their jjajangmyeon which is always a good choice. Today I got their pork fried rice with jjajang sauce for the first time to vary it up. It was definitely good but I think the noodles are better. My SO got the Szechuan Seafood Jjangmyeon which tasted pretty good. It’s got a bit of a kick but not that spicy. I also really like their choice of banchan because they’re some of my favorite ones.”
