“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?”

“BEST KATSU my husband and I have had in the DMV area so far 😊!! We’re a little bit of a Katsu connoisseur since it’s one of our favorite food and this place ATE DOWNNN!! Food came so fast and the gentleman that was serving us this Wednesday evening was so polite and tentative although it was a full house, will definitely be back :)”

It is hard to find good Korean restaurant where main and side dishes are good, but this is the one. I eat here many times when I am craving for authentic Korean foods.all the servers are kind and know what they are doing.
This is Korean BBQ place with other Korean dishes, it is pricy like other BBQ places, but I think it is worth my money.
Only thing I do not like is, when you are there at a peak time, you have to wait. Also it can be very loud like typical Korean BBQ just like in Korea with people drinking alcohols but no biggie.”

“Not my first time coming to HK Tea House but it was my first time ordering their bubble waffle with fruit. The waffle was fresh, crisp on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. They put fresh cut strawberries and bananas on top with chocolate and peanut butter drizzles and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Takes about 15 min for them to make it but I felt like that was very reasonable. Tasted great and wasn't too sweet even with all the toppings. Fantastic service as always and I would come back for this dessert!”

“My friend recommended this place as the best donkatsu in the area. I went there for the first time and there were two donkatsu options. Regular and King tonkatsu. The cashier explained the difference and people have preference. I went with King tonkatsu. I agree that it’s definitely one of the better options in the area.

The bread crums are thin, super crispy, and well fried. The meat was pounded and tenderized consistently across the entire piece. The portion was huge to feed two people. The sauce for salad and donkatsu were rich.

My family also ordered yukgaejang. The soup was well prepared with pepper oil and tasted very authentic. Meat and vegetables in the soup were at good quality.

Overall, I really enjoyed my lunch here. My kids loved it too. I would definitely come back here to try other menus.”

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. Very nice open atmosphere and every table seemed very content.”

Ask the staff for help the first time because the process isn’t as straightforward as I was expecting.

Don’t overfill your bowl too much otherwise you’ll end up making a mess at the bowl station and possibly burn your hand when trying to reduce the hot water level.

The beef/chicken meatball were my superstar in the toppings but try a variety to make a diverse and rich ramen experience!”

“This was one of the quickest 5 star reviews I’ve written. My wife and I were craving Kabobs for lunch and came across Mazar Kabob while in centreville.

Our experience was exceptional. Greated warmly and professional, the menu is robust and great offerings small and large. We order two combo Kabobs. While waiting we were offered complementary chicken soup with was delicious.

The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and well-kept. The food itself was incredible! Portions were very generous, the meats were tender and perfectly cooked (not dry or overdone at all), and the flavors were bold, fresh, and well seasoned. Everything tasted authentic and high quality.

The manager also stopped by our table to check in on our experience, which really showed how much they care about their customers.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing kabobs. This place is a standout. I will absolutely be returning!”

If you want a good pho noodle soup, this is the best place in Centreville. If you want to experience pho and other dishes, pho Saigon at Chantilly is the place to go. Saigon has other tasty food for people who wants different food. My family recently went there and ordered bunch of other dishes and they were all excellent.”

“My friend, brother, and I were hungry after coming back from a hangout and decided we wanted Korean food. We found out that Hankki was open pretty late and decided to go for dinner. The inside was pretty quiet, which makes sense because it was really late and the server gave us her undivided attention.

We ordered a few things, some bossam, pork mandu, tteok-bokki, and some blood sausage. Everything tasted delicious, very authentic and they even provided us with a hot plate to keep the bossam hot while we ate it. The dishes also came with an assortment of banchan and while I usually don't enjoy kimchi, their kimchi here tastes really good.

Would love to come back again and I hope to see their continued business operation.”

“I've been coming here every Tuesday evening with my family for almost 20 years. We park our car a half mile away and make the ritualistic hike into the boggy mosquito infested marshy stream that is Elkick Run. The only time we've ever missed a single weekly session was once when I was briefly a POW in Afgan.

I've never had any complaints. Until this last Tuesday. When we ordered our platter of 55 tacos, and what we were served could hardly be seen to be believed. These tacos are so small. I weep for the past.

I have attached a picture of the tacos next to my cat in the dining area for scale. Look at how small these tacos are. The tacos are right next to my cat. You can't even see them! 🥺🥺🥺”

It tastes better to make kimbap with stir-fried carrots, but I don't know if it was a mistake, but I was a little disappointed that the carrots in today's kimbap were not cooked at all. Still, I gave it 5 stars because it's a place I go to often.”

“Had the brisket seolleongtang and it really hit the spot. The broth was rich, milky, and comforting, exactly what you want from a long-simmered soup. The beef sundubu wasn’t as strong on the beef flavor as I hoped, but still cozy and satisfying. The kimchi was perfect, crisp, tangy, and balanced, probably my favorite part. They sell A little on the pricey side but not unreasonable for the quality. Great spot if you’re craving hearty, homey Korean soups.”
