“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?”

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. Very nice open atmosphere and every table seemed very content.”

“I was desperate for some boba tea while in the Centreville area and saw HongKong was on the list. Stopped in and saw their food and it looked so damn good. I got a brown sugar milk tea, wonton soup, and some French fries. The tea absolutely slapped, the wonton soup hit the spot so hard, and the fries were so crispy and HUGE. I will be back to try more of their food.”

“This was my first time trying Thai food, and honestly, I’m not usually a Thai food girl, but OCha definitely surprised me! I got the chicken drunken noodles with crispy chicken wontons, and I actually ate the whole plate 😂 The food was good, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more.

But that Strawberry Dubai Chocolate smoothie??? OMG. 🤤 It was SO good and looked exactly like the picture. I’ve never tried Dubai chocolate before, but I’m officially obsessed with that smoothie!

The service was also amazing. I originally ordered for pickup but decided to eat there instead, and they were so nice and accommodating. They even put my food on a plate and brought me water.

Overall, I’d give it a 4. The only reason I’m not giving it a full 5 is because Thai food isn’t usually my favorite, but this place definitely made me want to give it another chance. I’ll absolutely be back! ❤”

“My family and I stopped by while traveling thru town. We ordered Bulgogi and Dak Kalgooksoo. Their Banchan were flavorful with the right balance of spice and heat. Entrée portions are generous. Our server was helpful and very nice. We were pretty happy to find this restaurant.”

“Literally the best homestyle Korean food I've ever had hands down. You can tell how you'll enjoy the rest of the meal based on how well the banchan are prepared. Best banchan I've ever had, best kimchi I've ever had.... I can go on and on. I wish I could replicate the same taste at home. This place ruined all other homestyle Korean food restaurants for me.

I don't really understand the negative reviews. I was skeptical with the 4 stars at first but then the food blew me away!! I wish this place was closer to me .. I'm so hungry writing this review already

I stopped by during lunch and ordered one item, but unfortunately, I ended up waiting about an hour and a half before receiving my food. It turned out that my order had accidentally been missed. However, the owner handled the situation extremely well, and I really appreciated the way they took care of it.

This is my first time eating marinated crabs (both soy bean sauce and spicy sauce). It feels like jelly-ish in texture, and the staff recommended to eat with rice. I preferred the spicy sauce one over the soy bean sauce one since the soy bean sauce one left a weird texture on my tooth for a while. Although marinated crabs are not my cup of tea, I can see why some Koreans like it. Overall, it’s a really nice Korean family restaurant!”

“Walking into the Lotte food court, I could immediately smell the katsu cooking at Hikari Don Katsu--and it was impossible not to follow the scent. I'm a huge fan of both katsu and curry, so after hearing this spot does both well, I had to give it a try.

The katsu tasted comforting and homemade, like someone put real care into every bite. It was crispy, juicy, and especially good with the sauce, which had a subtle sweetness and buttery richness without being too heavy.

The curry leaned more Korean-style than Japanese-style to me, but honestly, it was so good. It had a nice spicy kick, lots of flavor, and was filling enough that I could happily eat a whole bowl of the curry by itself.
Overall, I was really impressed with Hikari Don Katsu. Great katsu, great curry, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to when I'm craving something warm and satisfying.”
