“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?”

“We had a wonderful dining experience! The kimchi was a standout—my friend ranked it in her top 5 of all time. The staff were incredibly sweet and even brought her an extra serving. We tried a variety of sushi, and every piece was fresh and flavorful. The squid legs were especially impressive, perfectly cooked and tender, not chewy at all. Each meal also came with a small peanut salad and a comforting bowl of miso soup, which was a nice touch. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“This place is a fun Korean restaurant, featuring meats (seasoned as you like, spicy or not) and seafood cooked at your table on a gas BBQ. Sides come with it and other dishes like japchae and soups are also available. Feed a group very well and be out in an hour! Only complaint is that it's very noisy, not the best for conversations. We had to wait for them to assemble a table for 7 people (no reservation), otherwise there would have been no wait.”

“This place was a pride of Koreans in the DMV area, a place that’s comparable to NJ or LA where all the good Korean restaurants are located; however, can’t say that anymore. Every menu here became ordinary. They are not bad but it doesn’t give me goosebumps like it used to. Especially Soondaetang became so average that I can’t even call this place Soondae specialty place. Again, still pretty good compared to other restaurants selling soondaetang, but would not give more than 4 stars here.”

“My friend recommended this place as the best donkatsu in the area. I went there for the first time and there were two donkatsu options. Regular and King tonkatsu. The cashier explained the difference and people have preference. I went with King tonkatsu. I agree that it’s definitely one of the better options in the area.

The bread crums are thin, super crispy, and well fried. The meat was pounded and tenderized consistently across the entire piece. The portion was huge to feed two people. The sauce for salad and donkatsu were rich.

My family also ordered yukgaejang. The soup was well prepared with pepper oil and tasted very authentic. Meat and vegetables in the soup were at good quality.

Overall, I really enjoyed my lunch here. My kids loved it too. I would definitely come back here to try other menus.”

“Not my first time coming to HK Tea House but it was my first time ordering their bubble waffle with fruit. The waffle was fresh, crisp on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. They put fresh cut strawberries and bananas on top with chocolate and peanut butter drizzles and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Takes about 15 min for them to make it but I felt like that was very reasonable. Tasted great and wasn't too sweet even with all the toppings. Fantastic service as always and I would come back for this dessert!”

“Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. The flavors are vivid and bright, delicious and clearly comfort food. I promise you, you'll enjoy your trip here. Great food for everyone. Very nice open atmosphere and every table seemed very content.”

“By far of the best boba places I have ever been to. There is a kiosk up front where you can view the menu and order and they have a wide range of selections to choose from. There’s a good amount of seating, it’s never too crowded, and the inside is very nice with lots of cool authentic designs. Definitely a great place for a date or to hang out with friends and family. It’s also right by a lot of other establishments making this location incredibly convenient. Parking, however, may be limited as the lot is kind of small. Nevertheless, this is one of the best boba shops I have ever been to and you should definitely check it out.”

This little girl came out the car name Jenny with mask and gloves(due to all the virus going around)... very professional and clean. Food was great 10 out of 10. “This place is the best for soft tofu soup but I was craving some cold noodles, which were not in season yet. But they made a custom cold noodle dish for me with buckwheat noodles (bibim guksu)
and it was AMAZING. Unfortunately I was too excited to take a photo before eating it but if you love cold spicy noodles, please ask for this as it’s not on menu. It even had frozen watermelon balls in it, which was such a nice subtle sweet surprise. With fresh lettuce, cucumbers and boiled egg, it was like a home cooked Korean dish my mom would make.”

“This place can be great, they just need more training. I went in to get a whole chicken, it seemed like the kitchen was going down because of a line of a few people. I had to wait to get the chicken, but the chicken was fresh and tasted great. I hope they can get organized in the kitchen and clean it up a bit because the layout of the restaurant and the menu is very nice.”

“Had the brisket seolleongtang and it really hit the spot. The broth was rich, milky, and comforting, exactly what you want from a long-simmered soup. The beef sundubu wasn’t as strong on the beef flavor as I hoped, but still cozy and satisfying. The kimchi was perfect, crisp, tangy, and balanced, probably my favorite part. They sell A little on the pricey side but not unreasonable for the quality. Great spot if you’re craving hearty, homey Korean soups.”

“One of the most efficient and quick restaurants I have ever seen with an almost overwhelmingly large menu. It’s also cheap to boot. I really like their jjajangmyeon which is always a good choice. Today I got their pork fried rice with jjajang sauce for the first time to vary it up. It was definitely good but I think the noodles are better. My SO got the Szechuan Seafood Jjangmyeon which tasted pretty good. It’s got a bit of a kick but not that spicy. I also really like their choice of banchan because they’re some of my favorite ones.”
