“Went with a group of 10+ people to have dinner in this restaurant that is well known for its Cantonese-style roast meat (pork, chicken and duck etc.). As such, one of the dishes that was selected was barbecue pork and roasted duck. The ordering experience was good as our group members interacted readily with the manager on duty on the choices of dishes to order. At the end of the meal, everyone was satisfied with the food as well as with the overall price charged for the meal. However, one must be prepared to talk louder as the noise level of this restaurant may be considered a bit uncomfortable for some.“

“We came with friends. Love their soup dumplings, all pan fried buns, chill beef and all vegetable dishes.Great food and service as usual. I have brought different groups of friends. They all love the place and keep coming back. I love the settings decoration and background music. Great places to bring families and friends.“

“they have great private dining room and set menu options if you have a group and are hosting an event, banquet, celebration, etc. even my mom was impressed by the food, and her bar is quite high. bravo to HL Milpitas - thank you!!
separately - the dim sum is great
and important to some, perhaps: high ceilings, well lit, very clean compared to some of its competitors!“

“They offer a great variety of pastries, focusing on northern Chinese-style baked goods. Their prices are reasonable, especially for my favorite dumplings. They often have additional promotions.
Parking: It's at a huge plaza. There are plenty parking spaces.“

“Excellent food and service! Some of the most authentic Chinese noodles I ever had. I have traveled to China before and had these dishes. The food here is just as good. Further, the dishes here are regional based (Central China). That means not many Chinese restaurants have these wonderful spices/ flavors. Highly recommended!!“

“Buns we're pretty good and really affordable. My big complaint is that the bus cart they push around every 5 minutes sounds like nails on a chalk board. Makes my skin crawl its so loud. You guys should get a can of WD-40 and lube the wheels on it.“

“Online ordering here was a breeze. Unlike other places where I feel pressured to order more or lack the convenience of online options, this spot made getting dim sum straightforward.
Food: The dim sum was warm and steamy, and the quality was solid. My only gripe was the limited menu—no shrimp rice rolls or fried shrimp crescents, which are some of my favorites. If you’re happy with staples like Shiu Mai or Har Gow, you’ll enjoy it.
Service: No issues. I picked up my order by name, and that was it.
Atmosphere: The setting is simple and casual, with a cafeteria-like vibe. It’s good for a laid-back meal but not for anything formal.
Overall: It’s a decent spot with a smaller menu. Two orders of dim sum were enough to satisfy me, and I’d come back if I was in the mood for a quick and easy dim sum fix.
Parking: There was so much parking here on a weekend morning.“

“The food was absolutely delicious—we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back to try more. Everything tasted great. The only small suggestion would be to add a napkin dispenser on the tables, which would make the experience even better.“

“The dim sum was good , I wouldn't say great. I think most of the seasonings were a little on the light side. The Sui Mai was on the small side. Other than a few complaints the food was pretty good. The prices were very reasonable . I would probably visit them again.“

“I went there for dim sum group of 7 to 8 people. Expect to wait a bit. Dim sum is delicious. Waiters sometime confuse our tea choice. Restroom need clean & upgrade. Sometimes you have to park on street. Overall dim sum is great better than Dynasty in Cupertino.“

“Have been enjoying this dim sum gem for several years now when visiting family in the Bay Area, and it is unquestionably the most delicious I have had the privilege of encountering. I say this having grown up in Flushing, Queens and living in both Mainland China (and Hong Kong) for over twenty years since. I have been eating dim sum weekly for probably 45 years or more. I have been to Michelin rated dim sum restaurants and the most famous/notable eateries in both NYC and San Francisco. Pearl Bay is hands down my favorite. It has a really extensive choice of dishes. The food is fresh and uses some really high quality ingredients. My only (small) criticism is the quality of the hot sauce, which I prefer mixed with red bean paste rather than sriracha. But next time I may bring my own. This place is perfect for large parties. You can make reservations too, so why are you waiting?! And the staff are lovely, both friendly, quick and accommodating. Will gladly look forward to returning at some point in the future. Thank you (again) Pearl Bay!“

“This place reminds me of the old-school Chinese and Taiwanese places you’d find in the San Gabriel Valley in SoCal in the early 2000s. Mandarin speaking, straightforward service and just good Chinese comfort food.
At 11am on a Saturday it was packed with mainlanders, a good sign. What I really love about it is the honest pricing…we ordered a noodle, pan-fried buns and wonton soup for only $41 total. That’s a steal in this crazy economy, especially considering how labor-intensive Chinese dumplings are.
- Shanghai pan fried buns were crispy on outside, fluffy on the inside. Delicious!
- The shepherd’s purse wonton was okay, but slightly over-boiled; the wrappers were gummy.
- Scallion oil noodles were delicious and in a generous serving that two can share
The elderly couple running this place are both really nice and friendly. They’re more comfortable speaking Mandarin but they speak some English as well.“

“We went there on Christmas Eve to have a family dinner. We ordered the family dinner set for over $400 package. It was delicious ! A lot of food and also have left over to take home ! The service was excellent. I also celebrate my birthday there. We had an amazing time.“

“The momos are delicious. They were absolutely juicy, and the feeling was extremely well balanced, and they did not skimp on the quantity either. The chicken chow mein, on the other hand were below average. The quantity of chicken was less. The noodles were stuck together. The seasoning was lacking, and there were few vegetables then I like. I would skip the chow mein next time and just get the momos.“

“I recently dined at Năm Giao restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by their bánh beo. It was not only delicious but also served piping hot, with the perfect combination of toppings. The crispy pork skin and fried shallots added a delightful crunch that complemented the bánh beo exceptionally well. While the Bún Bò Huế was good, I felt it could benefit from a deeper flavor profile. However, the highlight for me was the chili oil they offer—it was delicious, with a nutty undertone and just the right spice level.I appreciated the variety of options, including a cooling herbal drink, which added a unique touch to the dining experience. The restaurant boasts a spacious layout with plenty of tables, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Overall, Năm Giao offers a delightful culinary journey with standout dishes and a comfortable ambiance.“

“Great flavor and generous portion sizes especially for the noodle and porridge dishes. The Char siu chow mein was delicious and the Xiao long bao simply melts in the mouth. Tried the black gold lava buns for the first time and it was simply delicious😋 Definitely my new go to place for dim sum in the area“

“The service sucks, if you're not speaking the same language, good luck getting taken care of in a timely manner. I guess when it's the same day in and day out, you're just fed up with customers 😒
The food is still great, been going here since they opened. The prices in the last few months have jumped drastically, and its $15 for a combo box, I remember when it was $8.
I still remember that you could also sit and eat inside before Covid.
The portions of the dim sum, are huge, and packed full with shrimp, pork or whatever you choose.
Overall, I'm still going back here, as the food is fantastic 😋“

“I usually stop by every morning for their congee and sometimes try other dishes. The roast pork is consistently excellent, and the roast duck over rice never disappoints. The place might feel a little rundown and could use a deep cleaning, but that’s often the sign of truly great food.“

“Some of the best “mom and pop” dim sum and Chinese bbq I’ve had in the bay. Everything came in gigantic portions and was amazing. The value was there. We were able to spread out a single meal of about $30 into 3-4 different meals.
What we ordered:
- roast pork and duck bbq with fried rice
- (2) shumai
- (1) crazy shrimp (baseball sized shrimp balls)
- (1) shrimp rice roll.“

“Can’t find you a better deal. Rice plate 2 item bbq for $12. It’s a $20 min for credit. No min for debit. The roast pork should have better skin, since the one here the skin didn’t crackle all the way thru so it’s a little tough. But the meat is super tender. The roast duck is not as fatty and it’s super flavorful“
“If you're craving a taste of Vietnam with a side of sweetness, savory, or both, look no further than this adorable bakery. From traditional Vietnamese snacks to mouthwatering baked goods, every bite is so flavorful. “We had a dinner at the restaurant to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ping Pong Diplomacy. Dynasty Seafood is an amazing top shelf experience. Elegant surroundings, gourmet chinese food, great service. Some of my favorite dishes: cold platter with roast pork, char siu and jellyfish, abalone with bok choy, succulent smoked duck, and lobster noodles. If you are planning a dinner to celebrate a special ocassion, this is the restaurant“

“I'm pleased to leave this review, as judging from the unassuming building I thought to myself, ah a nice like early 2000s vibe family restaurant with some traditional dishes. I'm sure i'll leave with a mental 3 stars and be happy I got some dim sum. The atmosphere is just as predicted, tiny cups, screaming kids, a coke in a can.. Just as I sat down I was greeted by my first cart. I was filled with joy by the food, and as the service kept coming, I was blown away. They were so kind, I asked if they had a certain kind of dumpling and the lady left her cart at my table and went to another cart and got me the exact thing I wanted. My water stayed full and the food came at a great pacing for me. I dont want to set your bar too high, this is a NORMAL DIM SUM place. It's 5 stars because the food is exactly as it should be, and the service is above standard. ALSO the value for the money was perfect.“

“Most dim sum spots around me were closed by 2:30 PM, and it was already close to 2, so my buddy and I decided to try Mr. Siumai.
Walking in, I noticed they have two self-order kiosks, which is a plus. The place is remodeled and has a more modern, contemporary feel compared to before. Same location, different name.
Then I saw the prices. $6 for 3 pieces of siumai! That’s $2 per piece, which is honestly wild for a mom-and-pop dim sum spot.
We ordered duck, fried rice, siumai, shrimp rice rolls, chicken feet, and a few other items. The siumai was just okay, nothing special and definitely not worth the price. The fried rice was good. The chicken feet were solid. The shrimp rice roll came out without the usual sauce it’s always served with. When we asked, the staff just pointed to the soy sauce on the table. If you eat dim sum regularly, you know that’s not the same sauce.
Overall, the food was hit or miss, and the pricing doesn’t match the quality. The remodel looks nice, but higher prices alone don’t justify average dim sum.“

“Always good. I come here to eat whenever I'm in the area. Best canto food and in a clean and nice location with plenty of parking. Is located in the parking lot of a business area, which I find kind of weird but totally awesome for the fact that it's easily accessible.
This place also serves dim sum thoughout the day, which is a total plus in my opinion because most places don't serve them some past 2:00 p.m.
The dim sum is actually pretty legit and traditional. You can get pretty busy during lunch time, but it moves pretty quickly.“

“been coming here for years since i was a kid with my mom, its always had good food and good prices. some items are oily but delicious. the staff are not very talkative, but they have always been very fast and overall nice people whenever I go.
Not a lot of seating, more of a to-go restaurant.
I feel some items stand out more, the fried shrimp balls and the chive balls are my favorite“
