“Went in with family and was excited to eat here at first. Our first server greeted us but when we needed a little bit more time to look at the menus he never came back to check up on us. We waited and waited and nothing. I was considering on leaving but then another server named Jered asked us if we were ok. He swiftly took our order and a little while later we finally got to eat. “I took a gamble ordering from a place I never heard of in Miami on Grubhub called Quinoa Connection, and it paid off BIG TIME! 1st of all, I never use Grubhub, but now as an Amazon prime member, I get free delivery. 2nd reason why I don’t order from Grubhub is that I am always so suspect that these restaurants I never heard of are ghosts kitchens making vegan food, who might not care about vegans, and I was wrong to assume that about Quinoa Connection. Not only do they have a location at 134 Hialeah Drive in Hilaleah (which I intend to visit soon), the owner, Donald, called and texted to verify my order, my allergies and to confirm my satisfaction as well, (plus he gave me a little extra treat too). I order the “Pecandillo” which is essentially a Picadillo made with pecans instead of meat, tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic, olives, raisins, and spices, served on top of quinoa and I added black beans for an extra charge. The portion was very satisfying and the taste and flavors were incredible. As a surprise for a dessert, I was given an house made dessert empanada aka The Nada Empanada tm Key Lime, A Frozen Date, Almond, Orange Zest Pocket, filled with Key Lime Pie filling: lime juice, avocado, raw organic agave, coconut cream, vanilla, sea salt, and it was out of the world delicious! Literally the best variation of an ice cream sandwich I have ever had. 10 of out 10 for me on this one! The price was right, the portions were perfect, the owner was courteous and super kind, and the food was delicious and nutritious!”

I continued to buy my food for my employees group meetings food from them when I was working for the city of Hialeah's city hall, I started in the Fire Department, and over time was promoted to Director of Information Technology with a staff of about 18 people. The Mesa family always treated use like part of their family!”

“The food was 10/10. From the chorizo con arepa for starters with a delicious hot sauce made in house, the traditional Bandeja Paisa and ending with an adorably presented cortadito. Everything was delicious and it flavors that made you feel like you were eating at someone’s home. Authentic Colombian food with excellent customer service they are very attentive and kind.
My only complaint would be the size of the churrasco I felt could’ve been an bigger. Other than that the experience was great!
Definitely recommended.”

“My experience… so I’ve known the owner for a bit now, and she has a do it the right way attitude or don’t do it at all, if you’re not going to put forth the effort. Hills cafe is everything a person needs to get away, eat some very delicious freshly made food, and feel right at home.
-You just feel a certain “Je ne sais quoi” the very moment you walk in, her staff, super courteous, attentive, and kind. All of that wonderfulness, stems from
Hillary’s personality and upbringing.
- I have tried different options from her menu, the salmon is to die for. You actually feel like she really cares about making people feel good.
- I urge everyone who’s in the area, to stop by Hill’s Cafe, and have your own experience, because it’s “One of a Kind.”

“Ok . So food is great. However, everytime I come in the girl is on the phone. She's always talking to someone and you can clearly see it's a personal call. I can overlook that but while making my toast she started to touch the computer to ring me up. Then I saw her touch her nose twice. She had to tell the person she would call them back. I asked her to change her gloves. she did. I would have gave it 5stars”
