“Incredible food, incredible atmosphere, incredible experience. I have never found a restaurant so enjoyable! I already have another reservation!!! The food is so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Flavors came in waves in each bite, which was very enjoyable for us! The level of artistry each plate has is astounding. I feel very fortunate for the chance to experience food like this! I cannot recommend it enough!”
“My server was Shelby and she brings the perfect energy to the table. She was extremely helpful and was quick as she could be. Not to mention, the food was delicious!”

“Our waiter Greg, as well as the expanded team of staff, were very attentive and helpful - without being overbearing. The vibe is great, was pleasantly surprised they were playing rap during Valentine's Day dinner. Will be back.”
“Amazing anniversary dinner there and did not disappoint!! 5 stars and we will be back.”
“I honestly don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review for Alpino because my husband and I love this place so much! It has become my restaurant of choice to celebrate my birthday for many reasons. I love that they keep the beautiful patio open even during the hottest of days (which is usually what it is for my July birthday), they have the best seasonal menu additions that use local ingredients, and their laid back yet elegant charm is exactly what we always look for. The food is amazing! We love unfussy food that lets the quality ingredients shine and the raclette with a touch of honey just makes me grin from ear to ear (not to mention the tomato soup that is out of this world). The Frulingzauber "spring magic" cocktail is my favorite of all time. I would drink one every day for the rest of my life if I could. Of course, none of this would matter if the people weren't wonderful at Alpino, but they are just as warm and inviting as the food. I loved that they all signed a birthday card for me when we were there last. This is definitely a gem of a place that you don't find everywhere.”

“This was the best cooking class my friends and I have ever taken. Erica made making pierogi seem easy and like something we could actually do at home. The class was well structured and easy to follow along with. We were given time to practice and learn while Erica was there to also ensure that everyone went home happy and with at least 2 dozen delicious pierogi! We are excited to hopefully take more classes here soon!”
“Absolutely delicious 🖤 Go now!!”

“everything was very good, we sat at the bar and McKenzie took really good care of us, a must try spot!”
“GB’s is my #1 spot for vegan options. They also offer gluten free dough—and they’ve done a fabulous job recreating it people like me who have issues consuming gluten. The environment is laid back, easy & chill. And the view is spectacular on Michigan Ave. Grabbing a seat at the bar—no problem! You’ll be dazzled by the large selection of craft cocktails—that’s a view in it self! It tends to get crowded quick, so calling ahead or beating the crown is suggested but it’s sooo worth it. The variety of pizza options are many to choose from. And the staff are really personable & quick with service & a smile. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Wow. What an absolutely fantastic final dinner of 2023! After we managed to find a late dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, it was a relief to discover that our excitement about the tasting menu was well-placed. I would definitely recommend the drink pairings as well! The amuse-bouche featuring oysters from the West and East coasts was a delightful way to splash into the meal. The wasabi and the mangosteen featured in each of the oysters, respectively, complimented the beautiful brine of the oysters in such a wonderfully playful way. This first tasting urged us to pause the menu progression and order an extra dozen oysters to explore the other possibilities. Tasting from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island, they were beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The first course of lobster salad felt like a summer in Maine. Not that I've ever been to Maine, but the imaginary scene flashed across my vision as I took that first refreshing bite. The grapefruit emulsion worked almost majestically with the light, refreshing flavor of the lobster salad. The tapioca chip was perfect for the crunch to fully bring the different elements of the dish together. A fascinating intersection of refreshment and comfort. The second course was the potato pavé. I'll be thinking of this potato often for the foreseeable future. It was one of those dishes that makes your eyes pop open a bit when you bite it as you realize how good it is. A beautifully layered and seared rectangle of flaky delicious potato resting with a lovely salsa brava speckled with trout roe, topped with tarragon, cured trout, and black truffle flakes. I don't even know what else to say. It was stunning. Sea urchin buttered ramen, the third course, will always be what I wish my at-home thrown-together ramen could be. It was rich, it was luscious, it was comforting. Growing up in southeast Texas, crawfish boils were always some of the most exciting times of the year. The crawfish tails in the ramen brought me back to those summer days eating crawfish with a cold beer. The duck breast for the fourth course was exceptionally cooked. It was juicy and flavorful and made a perfect bite with a bit of cauliflower, raisins, apricot, agrodolce, and foie-sauce. Each bite was such a symphony of flavor that kept me coming back. Last but absolutely not least was the gâteau ardéchois: the chestnut cream cake. Accompanied by cranberry coulis and crispy meringue bites, this dessert was a sweet but still mellow finish. While the coffee mascarpone ice cream was a robust and complementary flavor, we both agreed the vanilla coconut ice cream was the star between the two. Thank you again to the stellar crew at Mink! Happy New Year!”

“Gentlemen, my day started out with getting a different car for a friend today, and then checking to see if my mom's house that she grew up in is still on 51 LeBlanc, River Rouge, unfortunately it's no longer standing, so we finished by stopping by for a Lafayette Coney Special, It was the Best Coney Dog and the Service was Awesome, God Bless You All & Thank You, & May Your Business that has been around since 1914, have many more years, Therefore if anyone is traveling through Detroit, MI, make sure you Stop By & Get Yourself a Lafayette Coney Island Special, You Won't Be Disappointed.”
“Run, don’t walk to Mitsos! Not only is the food to die for, the Greek iced coffee will be your new addiction. But here’s the best part…the family. Walk in once and Irene I’ll know your name and remember it. Quality food. Quality people. Thank you for always making Noah and I feel special❤️❤️”
“My husband and I stopped at Sicily’s on Vernon Hwy for some authentic Detroit style pizza before leaving the city and it was amazing!! We tried the pepperoni and white pizza and were not disappointed. The staff were super friendly and the dining area was beautiful! Can’t wait to go back ☺️”
“Made Friday night reservations 2 weeks ahead for a table (you can sit at the bar too with reservations). Free parking literally right in front was a huge win for a busy evening. We were on time and waited just a few minutes, which actually worked out because the open kitchen smells and those flames totally pulled us in. Super warm, cozy vibe and the space looks just as good inside as it does from the outside. Once we sat down in the cozy chair/table setup, we kicked things off with drinks and ordered apps and mains all at once. Everything came out fast and hot. The mussels, beef tartare, and tuna tartare were all flavorful, and just really well done. The only letdown was the Pollo that looked great but really needed more seasoning (& onions lol) to match the rest of the menu. Service was friendly & fantastic. Overall, it was an awesome family night out and a spot we’d happily come back to. 5/5.”

“If you’re in Detroit and looking for an unforgettable meal, I can’t recommend Lena enough. The food was absolutely excellent from start to finish — the carrots and sweet potatoes were especially memorable (seriously, don’t skip them!). Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor.
The staff is just as wonderful as the food — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you can, try to get a table by the kitchen. It adds such a fun, energetic vibe to the experience. And if you get a chance, say “hi” to Bella!
Already looking forward to my next visit.”
“If you're looking for a culinary adventure, try Saffron De Twah, a Morcoccoan restaurant on the east side of Detroit. The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! Even more wonderful than the food is Chef/Owner Omar's hospitality & generousity!!! One of his core values is giving back to the commuity through the Saffron Community Kitchen and his YouTube presentations. Did I mention he is a James Beard finalist? I will return again & again. My only regret is I did not take photos.”
“Just had my first visit to The Townhouse, and it was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the service blew me away. Everyone was super attentive, professional, and welcoming, but Raegan really stood out. She knew the menu like the back of her hand, gave thoughtful recommendations, and her friendly energy made me feel right at home. Honestly, she turned a first-time visit into an experience I won’t forget anytime soon. The vibe of the restaurant combined with that kind of service makes it feel special without being stuffy. Between the food, the staff, and Raegan’s energy, I’m officially a fan. Can’t wait to come back, try more dishes, and enjoy another evening like this!”
“We planned on trying a few other pasta spots for Valentine’s Day, but everything was booked solid. Ended up giving the new kid on the block, Oak & Reel, a shot—and I’m glad we did. The veal-stuffed ravioli was unreal. Do yourself a favor and save room for dessert—it’s non-negotiable. And the Banana Run cocktail? Dangerously good.”
“Great experience. Was seated promptly and food and drink came out without delay. Order the steak frites and calamari appetizer. Calamari could have used a better sauce but was fresh. Steak and fries was perfectly cooked.”

“Amazing food! So great, no matter what i write here could surmount to the generations old technique applied here. Simple. Nothing over the top. No gimmicks, AT ALL. A surprising lack of gimmicks, is very inviting, along with the prices! Which if you’re one your way home from a night on the town, and seeing those stadium prices. Its like a step back in time. When everything was simpler and made more sense. God bless Telway!”
“After reading several reviews, it left me hesitant about going to Iridescene, however I'm glad that I did not let that deter me. Everything we ordered, from the wine and dine menu was delicious. The chicken breast was tender enough to cut with a fork. And the mashed potatoes were very tasty and well seasoned. I would recommend this place.”
“Support small business! Honestly being the foodie, hospitality enthusiast that I am... I highly recommend this restaurant the owner who’s also the server was amazing her daughter(about 8) was her helper and it was amazing. The food was ideally seasoned and you get the feel of the “D” with this experience. The menu was also well priced and the meal size was great. The plantain rum dip was to die for. Not to mention, proper social distancing efforts, available hand sanitizer and for you smokers... ashtray and ability to do so. I loved it and enjoyed myself. Looking forward to my next Detroit visit where I visit the Alley Deck.”
“The subway was very clean, food was fresh, staff were welcoming, kind and respectful, Very professional . I have Allergies to Food and the staff listened and prepared my sandwich making sure to grab fresh vegetables. I will definitely be coming back to this Subway in the near future. Thank you for understanding the importance of the food allergies I have. I have to say if your looking for a great subway that cares about their customers, then this is the right subway to go too.”
“First the chicken pita add bacon is amazing! The woman working the counter tonight was very sweet and lovable lol. But yall need to add a tip option for the ones paying with card or add an atm inside!! I had no cash and had to tip in literal quarters thats not cool.”
“My food was fresh and hot. I called in my order and it was ready at the time they promised. The moment I walked in I was greeted kindly. The cashier was friendly and the cook even popped over to say hi. This is also a black owned business. I love to support a business that cares about the service they provide. Thanks for giving me a coney island to go to when I’m around this way.”
“Exquisite. The flavors. The freshness. The presentation. It was a real treat. Staff was patient and attentive.”
“Stopped here before a concert at LCA last night - obviously busy, but wait wasn’t bad at all and we were able to get a drink at the bar and wait outside. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was absolutely stellar! She was super friendly, funny and quick despite having a large section on a busy night. Got the shrimp tacos (AMAZING and filling - has a perfect amount of “kick”) and my husband got the hot chicken sandwich (the one small bite I was allowed was phenomenal) overall 10/10 experience!”

“This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. I’m definitely coming back just based off of how good their hash browns looked. 10/10. Definitely coming back!”
“Every time my wife and I eat here at this church of deliciousness, we leave with happy souls. It is as if God himself has blessed the cheeses and toppings and ovens with his own hands and holy prayer. The arugula salad with the lemon vinaigrette is an angelic beginner. The roasted carrots are themselves a divinity worthy of devout worship. The Bagley Chorizo is a canonical revelation deserving of kneeling at the altar of.
To not enjoy this place or to speak ill of it is to surely reserve yourself a spot in the depths of Hell. To not receive the baptism of their sauces or dressings is to walk forever in the darkness in the shadow of sin and doubt. God clearly loves Michigan & Trumbull.
Wu-Tang Forever.”

“We tried the Detroit Pepper Company tonight, first time! We went with the Detroit Stuffed Pepper, beef with parmesan cheese. Very good taste, and huge. We also ordered the Vegan Stuffed Pepper, but we will have to try it tomorrow for lunch...too full from the Detroit Stuffed Pepper! We also tried the lentil bean soup, very nice. And my wife enjoyed the Mango Tastic smoothie:-) We're happy to learn about the Detroit Pepper Company, and we'll be back. Highly recommended. A very clean take-out only place, with good food and a very friendly staff.”
“My son and I loved the food! It was delicious and fresh. It tasted like homemade. I am originally from the Caribbean, I felt like I was back home. Asty came by our table to greet us. He and the staff were very welcoming. It was worth the drive! We will definitely come back!”
“Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! Thank you for a dreamy night.”
“Cute spot full of healthy food selections.
I am not a fan of Nutella so the worker suggested I replace the spread with the vanilla spread instead. Great choice and recommendation.
What made the experience even better was that the worker suggested the substitution in a non-pushy, helpful manner which aided the problem-solving portion of my ordering. This kind of service is lacking in a lot of businesses these days. This was a wonderful change of pace from what has now become reality.”
“Great service. Great food. We had the sausage/cheese platter, and their pretzels. Pretty tolerant of two Kentucky boys who hit the beer pretty hard the two nights we dropped in. The place had a good crowd both nights. Nice little pub. If I'm ever up that way again, it'll be one of my first stops.”
“Best restaurant in Detroit Metro airport sit at the bar for first class service!”
“Wow, what an experience. This was truly fine and fun dining. Amazing food, incredible service and cool tunes!”

“My husband and I had a day night here the other day and everything was perfect! We were celebrating a couple of personal advancements and our server made us feel very special. He was attentive, knowledgeable, kind and gave us the privacy we wanted. The food was great, good meat quality, and the menu was quite creative too. The ambiance is very inviting and intimate. We will be back!”
“I can’t say enough about our dining experience! This restaurant is on my TOP list here in Nashville and I will now frequent. Everything from start to finish was superb! Our waiter Sid was nothing g more than AMAZING and the manager was very nice and came by to say hello! The FOOOOOD was SO good it’s definitely worth it!!”
“If you haven’t been to the caucus club in Detroit in a while, I would suggest you visit they have changed everything. It’s amazing inside the atmosphere is wonderful. The band was great and the food was outstanding. Definitely will be going back.”
“My cousin wed their beautiful bride last night and their original post wedding brunch location fell through at the last minute. Groups of us came through right as Supergeil opened. Now let me tell you, they moved mountains to host our celebration. The food was incredible and the warm hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had. Thank you thank you thank you for today! Cheers 🍸 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!”
“My husband surprised me for my birthday and got me an assortment of pastries that I love.
I’m always impressed by the attention to detail in each of Canelles decadent treats. From their beautiful presentation, all the way to balancing out different textures and flavor profiles, this is my favorite place to get treats for special occasions!”

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.”
“Great service and good coffee!
I had their Maple Shakerato and a brownie. The drink had the perfect level of sweetness once stirred, and the brownie was soft with rich chocolate chunks, really satisfying. The ambience was also great; the indoor seating area had a calm, cozy vibe. Most people were working or studying, so it wasn't too loud, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.”
“Everything and everyone was amazing, can’t wait to go back again”
“Great experience, wine recommendation was spot on, was a late light dinner so we shared the sourdough bread and trout main dish, was delicious! Going back for sure!”

“We had dinner before a show. Jennifer was excellent and timed our meal perfectly. She had great wine suggestions and took care of our party's food restrictions. She's excellent at her job. Thank you.”
“The service is wonderful; they will take care of you and your guest(s). It is sure to be a cozy evening of fine dining.”

“This place is a complete culinary delight. I love the atmosphere, the sharable menu options and selection, and the amazing staff. If you want a truly unforgettable experience, try the chef’s table! Five stars every single time we’ve gone!”
“What a wonderful team, food, beer, cider! We are just so lucky to have had our daughters after wedding party here at Batch. Kimberly was a pleasure to work with during the planning and day of the event.
Stephen came to meet us and was essential in making sure we had “Polish, double smoked kielbasa “ for the event. It should be on the menu full time! Everything was delicious and fresh.
The Alabama white pulled chicken, pulled pork, pretzels, smoked meats charcuterie board, fresh fruit, double smoked Kielbasa ( so darn delicious) and the Kale Cesar salad.. all finished off by our Family and guests. Everyone loved the beer selection, the food and the vibe at Batch!
We have always been supporters of Batch Brewery, now we feel like they are part of the Family.
As always with Batch Brewery, just a wonderful , delicious experience! Thank you all for that.”
“My friend and I had lunch at Coriander Kitchen and Farm yesterday 6/23. We came back because we enjoyed our first visit last year so much! However, at this visit the food was not so good. I ordered fish and chips and my fish was overcooked and the french fries were not hot. My friend ordered smelt which were awful and greasy which we sent back. We asked for lemon which never came to the table and our waiter seem to be the only one there and they were busy so I don't think we got the attention that we were due. I know this establishment can do better, so I will be going back. But yesterday's service and food were awful.”
“New menu was amazing. We had the potatoes, the scallops, burrata, and mushroom with shiitake dish. Burrata was hands down my favorite, thing. Perfect combination!! Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere inside, I personally love plants and that’s the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. Check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!”
“GRACE is an amazing server, great at suggestions she is personable and delightful. The food was everything her recommendations on food and beverages did not miss‼️”
“My son, who's moving to SanDiego, treated me there. He's been several times. Ambience, service, dinner and dessert were all excellent. Coffee was pretty darn good too. Can't go wrong!”
“I like to thank the staff at Andiamo especially Thelma who was our server.. Also, thank you Mike for stopping by to see if everything was good. Im glad that we had chosen that location to celebrate Rosalyn birthday”
“I had the best service from Casaandra ,she is professional ,outgoing service is 1000%”
“The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the food could have been hot. The potatoes were unseasoned but the omelet was excellent.”
“Been here a few times and it is one of my favorite places to visit in Detroit. The drinks and food rotate and every time I go I find a new favorite!”
“The service is wonderful; they will take care of you and your guest(s). It is sure to be a cozy evening of fine dining.”
“I visited this past Valentine’s Day weekend and visited again this past Saturday night. I didn’t have a reservation but still got seated very quickly. It was a hot, muggy night and the hostess said she had a seat on the patio which I was fine with. I had a magnificent server, Florence, who was kind, thoughtful to recommend a drink to the person I was with and even when our drinks were brought out within a short time, apologized for the delay (which wasn’t necessary). I wish I could give a review on the party next to us because they were extremely rude, not only not giving consideration to others being on the patio but were also incredibly rude to Florence. One woman in particular was grandstanding in front of this group and demanded to speak to a manager. Florence and the Manager were both composed and dignified in spite of a rude patron that was looking to get her bill comped (for a party of nearly a dozen people) going so far as to threatening to have everyone at her table write a terrible review. I have worked in the service industry and so have so many people I know and love so this situation had me worked up and I felt it necessary to write a review that our experience was magnificent. Don’t be an a-hole to servers of any kind just because you’re an a-hole yourself. If you give respect, you get respect. Go to The Sugar House. Be a good customer.”
“Never disappointed with anything I’ve ever had there and every time I bring someone to try it they absolutely love it.”
“Best place in Detroit and metropolitan area. A true dining experience. Not to be be missed.”
“An absolute gem in Southwest Detroit! Went tonight with a party of six for my nephews birthday. Everyone raved about their meals. Hearty portions and reasonable prices! The service was 5⭐️.”
“Delicious homemade food… wonderful staff open air tables. Great service!”
“Perfect. Amazing selection, great belgians. The saison detroit is my all-time favorite go-to beer. The owners and the staff are all the best people. My favorite place.”
“We’ll be back. Everything was delicious. Great food and service.”
“Amazing food and great presentation overall! 10/10 recommend getting a sushi boat with larger parties. Every roll on that menu is delicious 😌”
“The food and service was excellent!!! The stuffed salmon is a must!! The bartender customer service was impeccable.”

“I wanted my family and I to try a new & special place to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and this place was amazing. Beautifully plated, ultra-delicious, special flare, authentic food. Kind & friendly staff. Cool atmosphere, family friendly. Easy parking. Proud that this place represents our Mexican heritage. No gimmicks, everything about this place made me feel like I actually was in a modern day restaurant in Mexico.”
“Jodi gave us amazing service, wings were great! Perfect place to hang out before the Tigers game. Second time going and I will definitely be back.”
“Bday dinner party, I had the fried chicken, greens, amd mac/cheese.”
“Excellent service, delicious food and it all happened under the red lighting. Be prepared to park on the street as the parking lot only has 6 or 7 parking spot.”
“We came to Detriot to see the NCAA D1 National wrestling tournament. We stopped in and had a great time. The beer, food, and environment were wonderful and we give them 5 stars. Look forward to coming back. Mechanicsburg PA folks”
“We had a rehearsal dinner for 40 people at Sheilds in Detroit and it was the best experience ever! The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and the staff were so awesome!!! When we got there everything was set up for us and they were very welcoming. The manager Jason was great, and had everything running smoothly. The wait staff…shout out to L & D we’re phenomenal! They were right there with refills, smiles, jokes and anything you needed. They made the experience so wonderful!!! I would recommend to anyone looking for a party venue, or just a dinner out to come eat here!! 5 stars!!!!!!”
“Great experience at zuzu tonight. Food, atmosphere, and staff were all outstanding.”
“Kamper's Rooftop Bar is one of the coolest places to grab a drink in downtown Detroit. Located on the 14th floor of the historic Book Tower, it offers amazing views of the city skyline, especially around sunset. The atmosphere feels stylish and upscale but still relaxed.
I stopped by for cocktails and really enjoyed the experience. The drinks were well-crafted, and the menu also has Spanish-inspired small plates that are great for sharing. The outdoor seating area is perfect if you want to enjoy the view and the city vibe.
Overall, Kamper's Rooftop Bar is a great spot for a night out, whether you're meeting friends or going on a date. The views, drinks, and atmosphere make it one of the best rooftop bars in Detroit.”
“From the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing short of amazing. The food was outstanding—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was warm, friendly, and fun, making it the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. On top of that, the location is fantastic, with plenty of activities nearby to enjoy before or after your meal, which really added to the overall experience. The highlight of our visit, however, was our waitress, Ashley W. She went above and beyond in every way. Ashley anticipated our every need before we even had to ask, showing an attentiveness that is rare to find. She was friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering so much easier and more enjoyable. Her positive energy and genuine care turned what was already a great dining experience into something truly memorable. Ashley is, without a doubt, the main reason my family and I plan to return. Her service left such a lasting impression on us that we would gladly make the trip back to Michigan just to eat here again. It is rare to come across someone who takes so much pride in their work and makes every guest feel special, but Ashley did exactly that. She is an absolute asset to this restaurant, and we cannot thank her enough for making our visit exceptional.”
“Sunday Funday 🎉
I was just introduced to WP this summer 2025. The fish and chip 🥰 and others items I’ve nibbled from my friend’s plate were yummy. The Sunday live music 🙌🏽. Drinks are also perfect. Three visits already- in 2 months.”
“we have been stopping in for drinks for a while now before we go to concerts and the theater.. we love your bartender, we love our drinks and the pizza to boot! we love sitting at the back of the bar and sometimes on the couch playing a few games!”
“Grand Trunk Pub is a classic spot in downtown Detroit with a lot of character. The building itself is historic, and the high ceilings and old architecture give the place a really cool, vintage vibe. It feels like a mix of a traditional pub and a local Detroit hangout.
The food is solid pub-style comfort food. I tried the Reuben sandwich and it was flavorful and satisfying, especially with one of their Michigan craft beers. They have a great selection of local brews, which makes the experience even better.
Service was friendly and relaxed, and the atmosphere was lively without being too loud. Overall, Grand Trunk Pub is a great place to grab a drink and a hearty meal if you’re exploring downtown Detroit.”
“I was blown away by all of the options on their menu!! I just came in for tea to go but will definitely be back. Also its so beautiful inside!! I give it 20 out of 10 stars 🌟 🤩”
“Love this bar! Came for wine with a friend and sat at the bar. The bartenders were so incredibly kind and helpful and appreciated all their tips on what to order. Even though the bar was filled with people it didn’t feel too crowded or loud. Would come again!”
“We have been to Spitiko Greek Taverna twice and it has been amazing both times. We had the Gyro Platter, the baked lamb, grape leaves with lemon sauce and Beeftekia and they were all very authentic and flavorful. Service has been great both times, with friendly and fast wait staff. We will definitely be back!”
“This place is awesome and the atmosphere is nice and intimate. Drinks and food were good. We had a great girls night out for a friend’s 50th birthday. I gave it 4 stars only because of a server on the wait staff. A gentleman was seated at our table and he was very friendly. He waited a long time for his food to come and when he asked the server about it her reply to him was “Well this isn’t a restaurant.” He simply told her that wasn’t the right answer and she then went and checked on it and brought it out to him. It may not be a an actual restaurant but if you’re serving people in any capacity you need to remain respectful and professional to the customer. It lost a star from me.”
“We tried 4 burgers and absolutely loved all of them! Juicy and meaty! My wife commented that it tasted like the real beef(to some’s dismay). Smoothie and fountain drinks are so so. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-07”
“My husband and I love this place , been here twice and great food, servers , atmosphere. Just a wonderful place .”
“Lovely looking shop. However, employee unnecessary barked at us for opening the deep freeze, WHICH IS IN THE RETAIL PORTION OF THE STORE, for the unconscionable act of *checks notes* looking in the deep freeze. *EDIT* They were lovely and responsive to my concerns.”
“Our server Mac and the manager Hunter were incredible! They were so kind, fast service, made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The food and drinks were fantastic and kitchen staff was super quick. Highly recommend The Eagle OTR!”
“The food is deliciously amazing, the service is stellar and its a great restaurant!!!”
“We had a great dinner date at Hamiltons after a reservation was cancelled on us, it was our first time and we will be back!”
“We held a 50th birthday party for our daughter in the private room last Saturday evening. The service and the food was extraordinary. We had 50 attendees that included old and not so old. The banquet items were outstanding and the chef did a marvelous job of preparation and presentation. Passed appetizers were a hit with everyone. (I particularly liked the crab cakes) Sheila, Yen, Rex, and Kat provided the beverage service and passed the appetizers and drink orders with smiles and efficiency. While we didn't see much of the kitchen staff, Gil, Emeka, Chaona, and Aaron provided culinary treats that had all the attendees marveling at the variety and taste. And most helpful were Joanna and Paul, the proprietors. Thank you Common Pub for a most memorable evening and event!”
“1st time coming here. wish I would have known about this place before now.. So glad seen it on a TikTok video. We will definitely be back again . Chicken Parm and House salad was very good . only issue we had was found out after they had a Specials Sheet and we never seen it or was told about . my wife would have definitely had the fish Special 😔.. but next time will make sure we ask I guess to make sure we see it..”
“Had a great time last night at Brix. The customer service was phenomenal and the food was amazing . I had a strawberry tequila lemon drop and it was absolutely amazing !!! The ambiance and location are the best !!”
“It was our first time in this place and Ibrahim made our experience so great!! He guided us on the menu and had amazing mixology skills. Will be coming back!”
“This place was amazing! The cocktails and ambiance was so cool!”
“Always excellent food and staff is on top of it and very friendly. We love this place!”
“Midnight temple is so delicious. I love the gobi manchurian, eggplant peanut stew, dosa, samosas, and mango lassi, and more. I am a vegetarian and they have so many delicious options for me and my boyfriend who eats meat. Perfect for a date night or night out with friends. Conveniently located right in the eastern market district”
“We hosted our “happy hour shower” at Two James and had such an awesome time!! All our ~55 guests were complimenting the drinks and food nonstop and Nicole and Sophie made the planning process a breeze. I will definitely host more events at Two James in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”
“Outstanding sauerbraten, Rot kohl, and strudel! Beautiful atmosphere at this historical detroit landmark!”
“I highly recommend!!!!! We have visited a few times and never regret it. A small, welcoming space with big personality and delicious food and drinks (the espresso martini is my fave). I come for the vegan options so I don’t have to worry about my food allergies, but my family has enjoyed the non-vegan options as well. The environment is fun; Que is always wonderful to talk with and has so much to be proud of in what she has created here…and if you didn’t know - THEY ALSO CATER…and do cooking classes!!! Que’s daughter Kaitlin is great and I enjoy talking with her as well. We’ve been in for live dj and a loud, fun, diverse group of people. I love what Que’s got cooking here and she’s got a faithful customer for life! Happy to support her with my dollars and my words of encouragement and recommendations to others!”

“Food was great. But since I had never been here before and am 74 years old, I wanted to be prepared. I went online before hand to look at the menu and saw several things that peaked my interest. Lo and behold, when we arrived before the MJ concert the menu was very different. Please update!!!”

“We celebrated my baby girl's 12th birthday here with eight of her friends/cousins and it was a great experience from the moment we walked in. Donovan greeted us with positive energy, asked my baby girl her name since we were there to celebrate her, sat us AND waited on us. He was patient when taking the children's orders and talked to them with lots of respect. He checked on us periodically, kept us up to date about the status of our food and made sure everyone was comfortable. We never had to ask for drink refills while we waited because he was definitely on it lol. This place is definitely an over priced burger joint. Some of the children had planned to pay for their own meals but because the food was so pricey, they had to order items that they didn't necessarily want to eat. Aside from this place being so expensive, it was a great experience and my baby girl enjoyed herself. There was WiFi and plenty of places for the children to take pictures and do their TikToks while we waited on our food which wasn't an upsetting long period of time. He sang happy birthday to my baby girl, gave her complimentary ice cream and that was the end of our visit.”
“TSA and Delta agents are always so kind. We’ve had some pretty negative experiences with TSA being rude, impatient, and condescending for no reason at various airports, but never at DTW! Thank you for making the stress of traveling less stressful!”
“Everything about our visit was awful. from first being seated, to terrible service, to them not coming over to our table with different meats, to the meats that we did get being dry and over cooked, to other guests being rude to us. if you go never go to the Detroit location. 100% not worth your time or money.”
“The price of the bill vs the food taste didn’t add up. The food wasn’t seasoned, the Mac and cheese was meh, and the yams and greens tasted like something you’d find pre maid. The fried chicken had zero seasonings on it. The only thing good was the fried fish. Service was great and the atmosphere was good as well. But I wouldn’t go here again.”
“The overall experience was highly satisfactory. However, a concern arose regarding the imposition of a $25 fee due to a last-minute cancellation by one of our party members for personal reasons. It is worth noting that the restaurant was not operating at full capacity during our visit, with an estimated 20 patrons present. While such a policy might be understandable during peak hours, its application in this instance seems incongruous. We respectfully suggest a reconsideration of this policy in the future, as it appears to be an unnecessary impediment. As a loyal patron for over two decades, I am keen to continue my patronage.”
“The food is amazing. Esp the sweet chili wings. I had the "Say Less" drink. Raspberry, lemonade and d'usse. Strong but good. Shotgun shrimp was similar to boom boom but less saucy. Tasty! Service was the winner. Hostess was the best. attentive and kind. Friendly and fast service. Lots of parking and seating. Cool decor. Local art & reference. Def be back.”
“My sister and had dinner out the 1st time since the pandemic. The food was delivered very quickly and was very hot and so tasty. I was such a pleasure experience. She had Jumbo Fried Shrimp w/mixed veggies and roasted potatoes. I had Catfish Atchafalaya (fried) w/rice and roasted potatoes. The rolls were hot and delicious. The waitress, Braylen, was so very pleasant and smiled continuously. Her service was the cherry on top of a beautiful meal.”

“Fantastic coffee & we so appreciate that you’re nut free! My teenage daughter has severe peanut & tree nut allergies and it’s very rare to find a place where she can get “fancy” coffee without the risk of cross contamination from nut milks/etc. I also appreciate the owner’s quick and thorough response when I emailed with questions. Highly recommend!”
“this place is a one stop shop to cure my ails.
wonderful atmosphere, incredible artwork, and perched in a perfect place for a mid-day change of pace. i’d bet my hot cocoa money that barista Adela is Joan of Arc reincarnated, & if you ask her about food in detroit, she is armed to the gills with informed recommendations t”

“We loved our brunch experience at BLVD Brunch House; it came highly recommended from our friends in the area and it DID NOT disappoint! On a Sunday morning, we had no wait and the service immediate and timely; street parking was free out front. We had a toddler with us (IYKYK), and the staff was kind and engaging with her! Props to Laila & the BLVD Team for that one.
On top of the attentive service, the food (mushroom hash, shrimp & grits, yogurt bowl, avocado toast, & cold brew) was PHENOM. We ate plenty and still had a full second meal to take home with us. We appreciated the Owner stopping by to check-in and for the kindness that was given to us from beginning to end; we'll be back and will be telling everyone about BLVD! <3”
