Il Nido 2717 61st Ave SW, Seattle Italian • $$$

“We enjoyed a tremendous dining experience here last night... We've visited this restaurant a variety of times and we usually always enjoy. Most every time we choose to sit at the bar with a view of the partial open kitchen, great people behind the bar and great conversation. This visit was special in that the meal was extra spectacular this time!! It began with a season burrata dish that was beyond excellent. BEST burrata dish we have ever had. Seriously. Added to that was the seasonal cherry focacia which allowed us to sop up the amazing sauce left in the dish... On to the Lobster mushroom and corn handmade pasta dish... the balance of flavors was beautiful and savored every bite... so so good!! We were going to next tey the seasonal special pasta dish but last moment changed our mind to the Saratoga Cut Ribeye on a bed of greens with a tomato vinegar... Wow! This cut of beef is from a small farm outside of Wenatchee in eastern Washington and it was delectable. Melt in your mouth, beautiful outside char... We loved it so much! Can't believe we haven't tried the beef here before.
We finished our dining evening by sharing a glass of grappa... try the Cleopatra Grappa... its delish!
The staff is always so friendly. We always enjoy chatting with them and getting their recommendations on the food and wine...
We truly appreciate the from scratch menu, handmade pastas and sauces and more....
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hours of food bliss... thank you so much!”

This is a place for those who take their body seriously. The staffs tend to be busy but it is worth the wait. I can see that they really do care about the food and its service. Btw I even saw @spencerhawes NBA player order here. Which means foods are good here. Sport players know what tastes good! Come and taste!”

“We had the tasting menu for 4 of us, which was very good overall. The arugula salad and the corn/basil fritters were standouts, as was the salmon. Everything else was very good. Our experience was also good, although the service left us a little flat. We all felt that it was more oriented to what worked for the restaurant, from the orchestrated plate clearing to ensuring that we knew of the time limit on the table. It was like we were being managed through the meal instead of just having a really nice dinner.”

“I fell in love with mexican food. This place is a small scale, limited menu vegan restaurant, and they nail it. I ordered 3 tacos with rice and beans, with al pastor as the protein option. You can pick 2 sauces on the side and omg, they make all the difference especially the red one. The al pastor is crispy, mixed with pineapple you get a lot of flavor. One suggestion to the restaurant would be to increase the portion sizes. To the viewer, come here a bit early as they sell out on many dishes.”

“This was an outstanding experience! Capital Grille really cares about their clientele and goes the extra mile to show it. My wife and I were there celebrating my birthday and the staff left a card at our table wishing us well which was a very nice and thoughtful touch. To start, we got the clam chowder which was some of the best chowder we've had so far. For our mains, she got the filet mignon while I had the seared tenderloin with lobster tails. My gosh, both dishes were just amazing. Steaks were perfectly cooked and the side of lobster Mac n cheese we got was nothing short of spectacular! They brought us a dessert smorgasbord for my birthday that included the crème brûlée cheesecake, chocolate coffee cake, and some berries with whipped cream. Needless to say it was delectable! This was all topped off by our wonderful server Antonio! This steakhouse is seriously worth every penny and I highly recommend you try it out if you can!”

Ltd Edition Sushi 1641 Nagle Pl Suite 006, Seattle Sushi • $$$$

“Quite simply one of the best meals I have ever had, sushi or non. The food was utterly incredible, beautifully crafted with complex and intricate layers of flavors. From the opening bowl of clam and geoduck soup, through the salmon roe, incredible barracuda, mackerel, and salmon, to the final coronet of tuna, it was a phenomenal experience.

We sat at the counter, and the Itamae could not have been more welcoming. He explained every dish in detail, including how he crafted the various flavors. He let us taste sake, explaining how it complemented the dish. He discussed how he changes the menu with the seasons, getting fish from where it is best for that time of year.

From start to finish, this was just amazing. We'll be back in winter for my birthday. I can't wait to taste the changes”

He served each portion directly onto individual plates, taking care of everything for us. The variety of vegetables and side dishes made the meat even more delicious. Although it is a bit pricey, it’s worth visiting if you don’t mind the cost. For our family of three, the total came to around USD 430, including tip and tax.”

“This is definitely my favorite IHOP ever. I feel like the staff is always excellent, any time of day at least to me. I've never had any issues with rude waiters or anything they are usually very attentive and nice, especially considering how busy they can be. This place has a very different vibe depending on the time of day you show up. morning had a regular morning crowd you'd expect at an IHOP in the city, but most nights around 12-2 am and later this place is crazy busy full of very interesting people who have mostly been out at the bars in the area. Capitol hills very diverse and interesting residents lol young people nowadays are so interesting lmao always something interesting going on at night. And I swear this location gets their pancakes lighter and fluffier than any I've ever gotten at an IHOP before lol they are fantastic seriously. Thank you Ihop crew lol

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently ordered a cannoli cake from Kelly Cannolis for a surprise party for my wife, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. The cake was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I contacted them to the final bite, it was clear that Kelly Cannolis takes their craft seriously. The cake was not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. The cannoli filling was rich and creamy, and the cake itself was moist and flavorful. My wife was overjoyed when she saw the cake, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. It was the highlight of the party, and I have Kelly Cannolis to thank for that. If you're looking for a delightful treat that will impress both your taste buds and your guests, I wholeheartedly recommend Kelly Cannolis. They truly know how to create a dessert that leaves a lasting impression. I'll definitely be a returning customer! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Seattle, this is the ultimate fine dining experience. You know the recurring joke about eating at a fine dining restaurant and then having to go to a drive thru to “fill up?” You’re not getting that experience at Canlis.

The food kept coming and didn’t stop coming with surprises in between every course. Every plate came out looking like the cover of a magazine and the flavors were bold and daring.

A big nod to the amazing staff as well for their attentiveness and speedy service. They treated you like royalty as they say.

Such a great dining experience at Canlis.”

Taneda 219 Broadway E Unit# 14, Seattle Sushi • $$$$

“According to the chef, the menu is updated on a monthly basis. I can understand why as they incorporate quite a few seasonal ingredients ranging from seasonal veggies (corn, wintermelon) to fish ( fried fish, clams) .

The seafood I had were black throat sea perch, tuna from Spain, uni, Toro, mackerel,Hokkaido scallops , oyster bites, abalone, monkfish liver, alaska king crabs bite. A lot of the dishes were steam and or marinated with sake.

The pacing here is quite fast despite one person making the sushi and another chef prepping the plates. The whole experience took a little more than a hour despite waiting 15 minutes for late people.

They have a restroom that is up a small ramp. The building also has a restroom that was much dirtier.

The homemade ginger is less spicy than usual.

Other omakases I been to had more nigiri and things like miso soup and salmon .

Reservations were hard to get, it took us two months to get one. Might have higher chances choosing a weekday than weekend.”

We sat at the counter, and the Itamae could not have been more welcoming. He explained every dish in detail, including how he crafted the various flavors. He let us taste sake, explaining how it complemented the dish. He discussed how he changes the menu with the seasons, getting fish from where it is best for that time of year.

I've seen some reviews mentioning the prices, but let's be real—you're paying for local, fresh ingredients. This isn't just a meal; it's an investment in high-quality, flavorful food, beautiful presentation, and supporting local businesses. You truly get what you pay for here, and it's worth every penny.

Some people complain about the wait time, but I say take a moment to watch the kitchen in action. It's like a well-choreographed dance. The chefs are constantly preparing, creating magic with every dish, and the other staff are incredibly attentive. They're aware that diners are there for a complete experience and not just quick interactions. If you need something, just catch their eye and wave—they'll be at your table promptly, ready to assist. They're courteous, professional, and never intrusive. I appreciate that they don't ask how your meal is 20 seconds after it arrives. They give you time to savor each bite before checking in.

The food? Simply amazing. Every dish bursts with flavor, and the presentation is always top-notch. We’ve recommended this place to countless friends and family, and everyone has come back raving about their experience. To those who claim the food isn’t flavorful, I suggest they reconsider their taste buds—maybe stop smoking, because this restaurant is a flavor powerhouse.

In summary, this place is a true culinary gem. The food is incredible, the staff are outstanding, and the overall experience is one we look forward to every time. “2 years ago due to health I became a pescatarian and look for quality vegetarian, vegan options. Of the many things I miss at the top of the list was a good pepperoni pizza. I have tried all vegetarian, vegan versions. Last night my son and daughter-in-law brought me to MOTO. I ordered the vegan pepperoni pizza. The first bite made me literally want to cry. This was the best pepperoni pizza of ANY kind I have eaten in my considerably long life! Thank you Lee, Nancy, and the entire MOTO crew! I cannot possibly provide a high enough recommendation, this is the alpha and omega of pizza!”

The bread pudding and crème brûlée were also great”

“i loved the dining setting here in the summertime, with the outdoor patio area and the tiffany blue color scheme. the interior is well-lit and beautifully decorated with wine bottles.
friendly and attentive service.
the ingredients are primarily locally-sourced and the menu is cohesive. i loved the chicken pate as well as the summer squash, ur was not the biggest fan of using chips as the vehicle for the halibut dip.
the pork shoulder was fried on the outside, which i was not a fan of, but the inside was juicy and tender. while it paired well with the nectarine, there was honestly as much nectarine as there was meat.
indifferent to the clams, which could’ve been more flavorful.
in my opinion bread should be served without asking.
overall, appetizers were great but i thought the mains could be better, given how high my expectations were.”

The nectarine hibiscus was really refreshing and the roasted sweet corn sundae was also very pleasant! “The "Crushed Marbles" potatoes are next level! Actually, everything we tried was amazing! I especially enjoyed their "Lonely Sangria", it was a delightfully refreshing yet incredibly complex drink.

Certainly a big step up from typical Seattle fare. Their chef apparently understands what flavor is... which anywhere else in the country would seem mundane, but in Seattle is an exceptionally rare treat.

If it weren't for the oddly sticky floor throughout the establishment, I'd definitely rate at five stars.”

The service is great and they manage to move the line quickly as this place gets pretty busy at lunch time. The place has some tables inside, but you are nect to the line of people waiting to order. There is a small outdoor seating area that is a better choice if the weather permits.

I stopped using the app to order ahead from this location as twice now my order was not there when I arrived, even though the app said it was ready for pickup. It is too easy for any random person to walk in and grab any order.”
