“We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!”

Both slices of the pork belly chashu were so tender it practically melts after taking a bite. Rather than taking the unfinished portion to-go, the meal was so spectacular that I had to finish it. Also the pickled radish is a must try.”

Everything from the appetizers to dessert were perfect. Every dish is made with true italian fresh and natural ingredients and is made by traditional recipes. The talented chef M. makes pastas and pizzas daily and they taste amazing. Also the house wine is a good selection. I suggest you to have their own valuable wine. Il Farro has a great management and staff too. We loved interacting with customers and guys who work in, they became like family for us. The qualified employees are friendly helpful and the restaurant is always clean. They do have enough seats and limited outdoor seating, but get a reservation in advance to make sure you have a place.Hands off, this is the best place to gather with friends or family! First time visiting the Newport location after previously dining at the Del Mar restaurant, and we were blown away once again. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and everything from start to finish exceeded expectations.

The service here stood out beyond any other restaurant we’ve tried in Orange County. Our server, Ryan, was absolutely phenomenal—professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to guide us through the menu and made fantastic recommendations. (And trust me, we have high expectations!)

The food was incredible—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive and crafted with such care. The combination of the outstanding service, delicious food, and great drinks has officially made this our new date night spot.

“On the water in Newport Bay. Big windows with great view. Fun bar atmosphere. Has boat slips for water arrivals. Server will come down to boat with food and drinks. Newport pier is a 10 minute walk away. This was a Thursday lunch at Woodys and a few hours kicking back on the sand. Good times great vibe down here.”

When we walked through the entrance to the outside seating the owner greeted us in an Italian accent and helped us out with wine as soon as we sat down.

Our caprese salad was excellent, featuring house made mozzarella.

I had the lobster pasta, my wife had the chicken parm, and my daughter had pizza. All was top notch.

Our server was outstanding and knew the menu and the wine very, very well.

I am not a dessert guy, but theirs was excellent.

This place was very, very kid friendly with 50% of the tables having a kid or two under 8 and plenty of food that appealed to my 6 year-old.

Within reason, I could care less about price, but this place is an absolute steal compared to other OC restaurants.

I cannot think of any other restaurant in Orange County that I would rather eat at.

“They have great food and a fantastic venue to listen to quality musicians! I was there last night with my husband. We got to hear Kenny Metcalf perform Elton John’s Deep Cuts. It was SO good! Kenny Metcalf performed songs I have only heard on Elton John’s albums. I’m so delighted I got to see this particular show!! WOW! It was off the charts musically and Kenny is such a talented singer and musician. When I closed my eyes I thought Elton was singing. The band was amazing too. That guitar player that I don’t remember his name, played a few solo guitar riffs that had everyone in the room clapping. The sold out venue was electric with the sound of Elton John’s deep cuts that I would never have heard live. So amazingly well done!!!! I left with a big smile on my face. I’m going to tell all my friends about Campus Jax….”

We are so glad that we tried it cuz this is probably the best pizza we’ve laid our taste buds on out here in the states. We got a large pepperoni pizza that was $26. The two guys at the window that helped us provided great customer service. Just a heads up that there is no tables to chill and grub down at. We went for the meal plan, which included flavorful appetizers, a perfectly cooked plat principal of couscous with tender beef, and the most delicious baklava for dessert. Every bite tasted like it was made with love and tradition. The atmosphere transported us straight to Morocco—the décor, the music, the warmth—it all felt magical.
