“we didn't even get served or get any food. they refused to serve us. it took near 10 minutes for some woman to even come over and bring us to a table. after that we watched as their servers sat at the bar, and helped every one of the maybe 6 tables in the entire place that were occupied except us. they clearly have some problem with gay people as they had no issues helping any of the other guests. i watched the servers acknowledge us and just go help the other tables. we have previously had uncomfortable experiences every single time we have been there where the male servers say things under their breath until they get so irritated with us that the female hostesses have to complete our service. i truly am astonished that someone who runs a small business/restaurant would be treating people who want to eat there like that. every employee in the establishment behaved as if we made them visibly uncomfortable so maybe consider going somewhere else if you're looking for dinner. Finally, the service was already bad to begin with on top of their utter and complete refusal to serve us this last time that we tried going. I would suggest giving your money to a restaurant that isn't fully run and owned by losers who clearly don't want money!”

“Very popular restaurant and bar. We came on the weekend this time for brunch. Large menu with omelets, benedicts, french toasts. Regular menu has wings,sandwiches and ? .We got the wings and they(3)were large full and sticky. Our omelettes were good with plenty inside. The French toast too. My friend thought their benedict not their best and probably wouldn't get it again. Ask about gluten free or vegan. Betty get GF bread or bun please.

“I love this place and the people who took care of us. We had a party of ten and everything was very good. What stood out to me the most was how out of the way the employees went for us. I ordered something to go also and paid for it and forgot about it and left in a hurry because I had the tickets for an event we were attending on the next block. I didn't get his name but a nice man actually came to the event to find the person who forgot their takeout order. The server remembered me saying we were going there next. He went back and got my takeout and brought it back to me. You just don't find as many people that nice who cares as much these days.”

“Four of us went to dinner last night to celebrate a birthday and engagement. We did not. Have a reservation, so we had no expectations from the restaurant to do anything special, but to our surprise, they went all out!! The staff did everything to make the evening special from complimentary sparkling toast to a card. The food was exceptional and made fresh. From homemade pasta, bread , butters and desserts. Things a must experience.”

Even though there weren’t many people there at 10 am the bingo host played the game and awesome music in between each number being called. We each won bingo and got some fun prizes - shirts and games. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for playing games. The hostess was very welcoming. Our server was sweet and attentive and the food and drink were fantastic! What a gem! Can’t wait to come back!”

Someone else mention dansk mjod. Yes, I would say get that if this is not feasible with the cost. Both are awesome and I drink them both for different occasions. They aren't the same shelf.

This for me is special occasion (Beltane, Lughnasagh, etc). It is absolutely gorgeous. All meads I have tried are layered, so deeply honey driven, and loaded with fruits for the melomel.

If you want to taste the season, and be grateful for what the plants and insects combined with human effort can make, taste a narrative. Drink home made mead if you can make it or get it from a loved one, share it, or for my situation I have to buy it. I do recommend this meadery, and yes it is expensive.

Edit I did visit and left with a bottle of their cyser. I went for a flight and it was great - the service was friendly and welcoming and I also got a book to help me learn more. Not cheap, but extremely high quality.”

“We did something a bit unconventional and rented Public House out for our very small wedding ceremony and it was perfect. It was simple but so so special and memorable. The staff was amazing and worked to accommodate all of our needs. Taylor, especially was so amazing and helpful in coordinating our event. Public House made our day so memorable and I couldn't recommend it enough - either for a private event, or just for some drinks and apps. My husband and I love it!😊”

Tommy called me and we had an in depth discussion of everyone's budgets, likes, dislikes, etc. He was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with and helped curate a fully customized menu. The chefs arrived early and were extremely accommodating to everyone's preferences-- and the sushi was so delicious! They created a very interactive program where they even taught us how to make a roll! Our experience with Kabar was unique and memorable. I could not recommend them more!”

“Popped in last Sunday since my partner and I were craving Mexican-style. Had lower expectations being more of what I thought was a 'bar' or sort of hipster hangout, and... it IS both of those things, but WOW! The food blew me away. The nachos were a large portion and loaded with high quality toppings - the cheese sauce might've been my favorite, but the cotija cheese, fresh jalapeno rings, black beans and pickled onion weren't far behind. And DON'T MISS the chipotle salsa... quite honestly probably the BEST SALSA I've ever had. Not TOO hot but smoky, sweet, robust. Just perfection.
My partner's barbacoa taco and chicken tostada were equally delicious. I had one bite of each and was fully impressed and almost ordered my own but had all those nachos to get through. Aside from the great food, the margaritas were delicious and perfectly strong... and the service was attentive and friendly. If I had to choose anything to nitpick I might request added smaller tables instead of long picnic style ones or that the booths be available for 2 tops (they save them for 4 or more) but I understand that this place is generally for 4-or-more and gets very busy on weekend nights. That said we were plenty comfortable at the side rail or could've sat at the bar if we wanted, so there's ample seating.
All in all, we CAN'T WAIT to go back & I think I'll be ordering some of that amazing salsa to go next time... and maybe 1 more of everything on the menu. 10/10 Fantastic!”

It needs the right meats, and the right cheese(s), the right sauce, the right veggies, and the right kind of bread. Dining options tend to be all the same at Greek diners in the Metro Detroit area. It is truly all about presentation and quality when it comes to restaurants like this.

We both ended up with c three meat omelette with hash browns and toast for dinner, which was awesome! That being said there was little to no standout flavors with the omelette and of course hash browns are hash browns. My dining partner did requested the hash browns be well done but they actually weren't. The server was attentive and friendly and kind.”

I’ve had many issues with my orders in the past unfortunately the only time my order is right when the manager makes it otherwise my smoothie is never filled to the top and taste watery. Twice I ordered a jerk chicken wrap only to get back to work and bite into it there’s no chicken. I also had an issue with substitutions in my smoothie. I can taste when ingredients weren’t added”
