The naans were super soft, the flavors were spot-on, and the service was top-notch from beginning to end. The food was from the Chapel Hill location. They also accommodated our dietary restrictions, like no onion or garlic, and they nailed it! They arrived on time and were super well-prepared! They also took care of all the details throughout the event and helped with everything towards the end. It was a huge relief to know that we could trust someone from start to finish. “Brought my wife here for her birthday. It was our first time dining at Little Bull and the food and service were a 13/10! We ordered three tapas plates: The broccolini, arepas, and barbacoa which was plenty of food for the two of us, and some cocktails. Everything was a homerun! Bonus points to our server (Xavier) and the kitchen as my wife has Celiac and they quickly confirmed that the items on the menu marked 'GF' that also included soy sauce were prepared with gluten free soy sauce (we've been places that use regular soy sauce which contains wheat, and it can be problematic for folks with celiac). The *only* note I have about the experience was that it was a little loud in the room; likely a function of whatever restaurant trend has been going on for the past decade where minimalist, untreated/hard surfaces (i.e., concrete) and high ceilings just allow a usual level of din to ricochet off all the walls, doors, and tables. At times we had difficulty hearing our server (and others who came by to check on the table). We could've asked the staff to speak up but I don't think we wanted the reminder that our old ears need the extra accommodation :^P This did *not* impact our enjoyment of the food nor the evening, and we will definitely be back (and hopefully soon)”

You know, I thought I was just ordering dinner, but what I really got was a front-row seat to the theater of fast-food failure.
The so-called "Meal"? Oh, it was anything but. No fries, no nuggets, no sauces—just a sad little box of regret. It was less of a meal and more of a scavenger hunt where the prize was nothing.
And the McFlurry? Let’s just say it was more McPuddle. It melted faster than my faith in humanity, which is impressive considering how quickly McDonald's ice cream machines usually break in the first place.
But the real kicker? The sheer confidence with which this incomplete mess was handed over, as if I wouldn’t notice half my food was missing. I’ve seen more effort put into an “I’m sorry” text from a flaky friend.
McDonald's, I don’t expect fine dining, but I do expect the food I paid for. If you need help remembering that fries go with the meal, maybe hire a food coach or a motivational speaker—someone, anyone—to inspire basic competence.

Packed. But in a good way. The energy was high, the patio was buzzing, and every table felt like the cool kids' table. It was one of those effortlessly fun environments where you can’t help but vibe along.
Food-wise:
I went with the tostadas, which were absolutely brimming with flavor—crispy, fresh, and loaded with toppings that weren’t just filler. My husband ordered the Cuban sliders, and full disclosure: I immediately regretted not doing the same. They were juicy, savory, and had us doing the polite “just one more bite?” dance until the plate was clean.
Drinks:
His old fashioned? A+—perfectly balanced and smooth. This isn’t one of those bars that half-asses the cocktail game. They know what they’re doing.
Would we go back?
Without hesitation. Great food, great drinks, a fun and inclusive crowd, and our dog was treated like royalty. If you’re in St. Pete and want something casual but full of personality, The Velvet Hippo is the move.

My only complaint is that I ordered iced coffee (off-menu) and they charged $10 for it (and added dairy without saying, and I’m lactose intolerant). I also order grits anytime I go out to breakfast/brunch, because they are my favorite, and these were hands-down some of the best I've ever had! The only ones that came close were what I've had in New Orleans. 10/10 would come back to Durham just for this restaurant! I drove by at 4:47pm on Saturday and the line was out to the boa boa lunch buffet and when I got back at 6 pm there was a line to boa boa. I will be back and hope the folk who in a hurry realize they would wait an 30 min to hour to be seated and 45 min for the food to be prepared give this establishment some grace. The reason I’m passionate about this is when I got home, I was throughly impressed with my food and ate off my families plate. I glad my wife wanted to go. “I cannot say enough about the Goat in Durham at Brier Creek! We had a party for my son and new daughter in law Saturday 8/19 and it was everything we wanted and more!! Marianna saw to our every need, gave us extra tables, tablecloths…..whatever we needed. The food, drinks, atmosphere were perfect!!! We were all so happy and had a great time. If you have a social gathering, meeting or any kind of group situation, The Goat is the place to go and ask for Marianna for sure!!! Love this place!!!”

“Had an outstanding experience at True Flavors Diner. Throwback diner atmosphere meets Louisiana style cooking full of flavor and hearty. Drip coffee was excellent as well. Our table ordered the breakfast sandwich, Biscuits and Gravy (pictured), french toast and stuffed pancakes. Can't wait to go back.”

“Hope Cafe is a hidden gem! The interior may be small, but the food packs incredible flavor and authenticity. The service is quick and I love that they have different spices at the table so you can add more heat if needed. I would recommend the Beef Drunken Noodles, Thai Pho, Thai Curry Noodles, Pad Thai and chicken wontons, each one was incredible. Without a doubt, this is the best local Thai spot around, definitely my new go-too!”

“Cute little coffee window at Boxyard. The coffee is really good! I really enjoyed the flat white.
Boxyard is a fun environment too! It's kid and pet friendly. Plenty of parking in the mornings!
They had a nice selection of cakes, but the only one that seemed to go with breakfast was the lemon cake. Not a lot of food options. The TV screen menus were hard to read in the morning because the sun was shining on them; fortunately they had paper menus.
Everything was served in a ToGo paper cup.
Alex, the barista, was really nice, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She also made delicious coffee! It was a perfectly pulled espresso shot using Counter Culture beans.”

“Staff clearly knows what's gluten free, happily points it out on the menu and at the dipping sauce station. Dipping sauce station is super clean and appeared free of contamination, no mixing of ingredients/sauces. Vegan options are obvious on the menu, and plentiful. Service was stellar, and soooo was the food! This is is my new favorite, hands down. Show up hungry, the servings are generous.”
