“My partner found a hidden gem in Williamsburg. We tried the seasonal omakase set. The fish was fresh, each piece was delicious. Also, enjoyed that when each piece came out, the hostess would show us a photo of the fish we’re eating. Chef Leo is really knowledgeable with the food, so don’t be afraid to ask for information. Will definitely come back!“

“I was recommended this place by a friend and it did not disappoint. The price for quality is certainly a great deal.

All of the fish tasted extremely fresh. Each course was unique and had its own spin. Our chef did an excellent job. The waitresses were also very attentive and thorough.

My one critique is that if you are sitting in the seats closer to the door, the music can be very loud. It was difficult to understand what our chef was saying most of the time.

Nonetheless, I certainly recommend coming here for a great prices Omakase in NYC.“

“Hole in the wall sushi spot. It’s a small and cozy spot in the LES. The size allows you to enjoy the food and chefs on a personal level. I also genuinely have not had fresher fish than here, every piece was mind blowing, the fact that it’s only $68 for 12 pieces! I’m so impressed and I truly can’t recommend it enough. Better than any Michelin I’ve ever had! Also if you love uni like I do, it’s a must.“

“My daughter chose this for a birthday dinner. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. Audrey was our server. She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, made great recommendations, she was there when we needed her without being there too often. I would highly recommend Rosella Sushi. Chef Jeff was friendly and engaging, like speaking to an old friend as he gave insight on each ingredient. Ngiri was delicious, top notch fish prepared right in front of you. Favorites include shaved truffle over toro (sublime), buttery hamachi, amazing amberjack, and their signature caviar/uni/toro over milkbread (heaven in one bite). They offered free sake shot and mochi dessert. Beautiful space as well right on Eldridge near Houston. We are definitely coming back.“

Our favorites were the xo scallop (must get), tuna poke, salmon serrano, aka ebi, toro scallion, and spicy lobster. “This is by far the best omakasi restaurant I have ever been to in all of NY and/or ever. I am shocked to read that there is even one negative review. And honestly, everything that they complained about is exactly what my husband and I love so much about the experience here. The staff is by far the best. You feel like you are at cheers where everyone knows your name, preferences, and favorite drink (even when you can’t remember it yourself). Extra shout out to Nini and Chef Lin who have been our favorites since Covid. We have brought all of our friends here to experience the amazingness of Ishikawa and they now all come without us. This is our special occasion place and we are still always amazed and surprised by how great the pieces are (always something we haven’t had yet after all of these years!)“

“They want to make you happy, and do a lot to show it. Dishes we tried included the caviar dumplings (juicy, wonderfully contrasting flavors, fantastic sauce) short ribs (falliing-off-the- bone tender) and great hand rollls and unagi don. Things got a little busy, and they came up to apologize for unagi main dish being delayed, and plated a free roll. Not necessary, not sought, but appreciated. Even the synthetic maple tree, with its foliage forward orange leaves, looked great.“

Our kids liked the pork shumai and the chicken fried rice. Not very Japanese but still super yummy. The Sapporo beers were $6 for HH and a bargain. We came on the weekend and Broome street is super lively and becomes a pedestrian only street which makes it even more accessible. We want to come back soon to try the items on their happy hour menu which we missed since we left super full and happy. Leave room for mochi ice cream for dessert.“

The nigiri are seasoned perfectly, skillfully and with precision. The chefs here truly practice the art of sushi. The two omakase options are reasonably priced, and you can add extra pieces at the end of the experience. My Japanese fiancée emphatically approves, which should tell you what you need to know about this restaurant. Not too difficult to make a reservation a few weeks ahead of time, but definitely make one in advance. We will most certainly return.“

They have a large outdoor patio with heaters behind the building which is perfect for covid-safe dining. The food was fantastic, excellent sushi! Top quality fish, beautiful preparation and presentation and there are a few omakase options. The hoji tea panna cotta dessert was phenomenal as well. The price is definitely ‘special occasion’ territory for most but well worth it if you love sushi. Will definitely be coming back and hope others find this hidden gem!“
