The ingredients are top notch the food has a freshness and it’s perfectly executed. There are many great pizza options in Portland, this deserves your attention. It might not have the “buzz” as a few others do but make no mistake this is at the pinnacle of pizza. Bravo! What an accomplishment…”

“I managed to get a seat at the bar for an early dinner because I hadn't made reservations. Service was friendly and the food was excellent. The short rib arancini could be a meal in and of itself. Their house-made pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce with prawns was amazing! I was actually spooning up the excess sauce and eating it like a soup because I hadn't gotten bread to sop it up. The Stappi Sunrise cocktail with house-made limoncello was also fantastic! I very much look forward to coming back for future meals.”
“Absolutely wonderful! We had the mole, which apparently changes weekly. But this week's included flattened chicken breasts battered in rice flour and sauteed perfectly, served on a thick brown mole sauce with mild peppers. Heavenly! The portion easily fed the two of us. We also had one of the best margarita's I've ever tasted. Service, decor, ambiance and the park outside make this a fabulous place to go.”

“Great little neighborhood bar - friendly staff remembers your face, food is damn good for a bar, and prices are reasonable. Breakfast all day, specialty burgers impressed me, and it’s nice and cool inside with a shaded patio in back. My neighborhood spot is a gem!”
“Ate here for dinner and breakfast. The food was excellent both meals!! Staff was very friendly and attentive. They were short staffed so took a little longer to get food but it was well worth the wait. Definitely recommend this restaurant.”
“Excellent food and service! A fun pre-Timbers match vibe and the place was hopping!”
“We took our whole family to celebrate my birthday. There were six of us. First time I've ever walked into a busy place at the proper time for my reservation and been served immediately. We didn't really know what to order on the menu so our wonderful server said “do you trust me that I will provide a wonderful dinner for you ?”and we said sure. I don't think we would have ordered the amazing things we got if left to our own fumbling around. The total bill was very reasonable. We look forward to going there again now that we know more about the foods.”
“I've had a half dozen bartenders here make a (off menu) Penicillin. Reliably good. I'd trust a new-to-me bartender here with anything more than somewhere that has it on the menu.”

“Absolutely a gem worth trying! The sourdough was incredible, very chewy and perfectly fired. Had the garlic, arugula and prosciutto pizza, and it was delicious. The ambiance of the inside and patio area is very homey and welcoming with very eclectic design and flow. The service was also very good, the hostess was very sweet and the ordering process was easy with being to order at the table through a QR Code or at the cash register.”
“Absolutely hands down the best Indian restaurant I've been to. I've tried many different types of curry from different places and this place by far has the best one! Also recommend the chicken tikka massala. Honestly, my favorite dish they have. Everyone should definitely try out this place for authentic Indian cuisine.”

“Simply the best nigiri in Portland and an exceptional selection of unique fresh fish flown in from Japan. 10/10 every time. Don't go expecting spicy mayo ?? This is the real stuff.”
“We had a fabulous anniversary dinner at Arden last night. Loved the spetzle and Bavette steak, burrata salad, oysters to start and corn ice cream with Carmel corn and fois gras shavings. Warm and friendly service in a hip setting.”

“Came for dinner / happy hour. The Friday night fish fry here is delightful. Very crispy tasty fish, and the sauce paired with it is perfect. The oysters were divine, super fresh. The drinks were good. Fries weren’t very crisp and maybe could have been cooked a bit more. Good flavor though. The staff here were so nice and attentive, quick service, and I like the clean vibe of the restaurant.”
“This is one of the most delicious places I’ve ever been to!!”

“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.”

“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!”
“Great little place, unique and cozy seating. Excellent wine, seems purposely priced to a value despite the fine dining vibe.
We had the cheese, kohlrabi, soup, gnocchi, and duck. Second time here, will be back.”
“Great restaurant, we go everytime we are in Portland. Great food, great ambience and wonderful staff. Plus an outstanding butcher shop”

“My experience here was amazing. Our drinks were super yummy, definitely worth the drive over. Emily is beautiful ? Super sweet gal, I'll be going back soon. Thank you for the great chat and awesome coffee!”
“Giant portions and friendly people make this one of my favorite breakfast joints. There's also a bar if you like cocktails with your omelette, and there's a outside back porch. Unfortunately, people smoke out there.”
“The atmosphere in my van through the drive thru with my 4 dogs was great. The service was fast and the food was excellent.
Prices these days are high, but maybe the next administration will fix that. Ain't Carl's Jr's fault.”
“I absolutely loved the customer service I received. I ordered online and got my sandwich made on time and efficiently. The manager there is a real gem and truly has a heart for their customers! It was early in the morning too, so to receive a smile and positivity in service was really a day maker!!”
“Yes, I walked through the drive-thru at 2:30 a.m. and they were fabulous. They let me go through the drive-thru walking and they sent me around to the door and they brought my food to me and they were fabulous.”
“Jodie has a heart of Gold. We are from California and my husband is working out here. He had to fly home for an emergency and I'm here alone I was 22 cents short and she helped me so I can have a meal today she helped me and she didn't even hesitate. Thank you so very much ?”
“There was only 1 waitress (I think her name was Julihana), she was amazing!! So good at her job juggling the multiple tables with thoughtful consideration and attentiveness, very aware of what was going on throughout the restaurant and addressing everything within a timely manner and a smile on her face. The 1 cook was great at his job also, layering my sandwich awesomely so the veggies didn't make the bread soggy. My partner was extremely happy with his omelette, emitting little grunts of happiness as he made his way through his meal.
All in all, this has been the best experience I've ever had at a Denny's in all my 39years of life!! Please give these people a raise as they are a beautiful example of the kind of service anyone can appreciate!!”
“Really laid back very friendly and clean and accommodating food was great!.......*update years later, still 24hrs reliable in drive-thru:)
Dietary restrictions: My husband is celiac and they made sure they prepared his food on a way he wouldn't get sick:)”
“Try their breakfast burritos, with half a dozen choices, you won't be disappointed. They also have a wide selection of other Mexican-American favorites to choose from. Their salsas vary from one Muchas Gracias location to another, but all are good. The Barbur Blvd. location has brought back their salsa bar. Got the carne asada burrito, which was tasty but, a bit skimpy on the meat.”
“We dropped by our Subway today. The manager was in. We let him know that we were not pleased with the sandwiches we got last time. We didn't even eat them. We left a bad review. He asked us when this happened. He remade our order and did not charge us.The replacement sandwiches were great. The way they have always been in the past. If a sandwich is not done right, they will remake it. I'm sure they would refund your money if you asked.KUDOs to the manager. Didn't get his name, but he made it right. Thank you.”
“I'm am absolutely in love with this place! The service was amazing. My server was so sweet. I got the see ew and I tried the coconut mushroom linguine. Whooa ? in just visiting, but I wish I could come here all the time. ✨️”

“Safe, amazing, ice cream that is a true treat even if you don’t need to be safe.”
“My wife and I used the El Mas Chingon truck to cater one of our wedding events alongside a few other food trucks. We had met Maribel a few months before our wedding and loved her food – and how friendly she was. Maribel and her team were extremely helpful in coming up with an appropriately sized menu for our guest count and the varied dietary restrictions, plus a special kids menu! Everything went perfectly on the day of the event itself, the food was so delicious that many of our guests kept coming back for seconds!”
“Most definitely the best food I’ve had in a very long time. I want to move here just sonI can eat here.”
“while menu is limited, the selections are delicious and satisfying! Sisters is a favorite for flavorful vegetarian choices that don't make us miss meat protein!”
“the la María burrito is amazing the salsas are good the coffee is strong and flavourful even though my order came through between morning and afternoon meat prep they had it ready really quickly”
“I go here 2-3 days per week for lunch. Food is delicious and well priced. The lamb plate is my go to, no clue how gets the lamb so tender. The owner is super friendly and clearly cares about his customers and you can tell how popular he and his food is by the number of people who walk past and say hello to him. If he moved his cart to another part of town, I'd seriously consider finding a new job in that area.”
“Super ice creme. Not oversweetened, rather light. Simply delicious”
“Went here for dinner, I had the curry and chicken appetizer. It was so YUMMY! My husband had the steak plate. It was all so good. Wish the curry wasn't vegetarian! Food tasted very fresh and authentic.”

“Tusk is great. Especially for a nice date night. The food is exquisite and the service is AMAZING.”
“Great pizza. Heard somewhere it was voted #2 pizza in the world behind some place in Italy. It is probably the best pizza I have ever had. All 12" pies thin crust and crispy.
They open at 5pm, no reservations and you should get there 15 minutes early. They fill every seat with the line most nights.
Their service is very fast and they get the food out quick.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“The restaurant was extremely busy, it was 11:am’ish. The staff was very friendly, attentive, smiles on everyone. Atmosphere was bright and comfortable.
Though it was busy food came at a respectable time and was delicious.
There were 4of us, 2 friends were here from Norway they were catching Amtrak at 4:00….it was a lovely place for brunch and spending time with friends.”
“I just moved from Miami to Portland for a new job. Haven’t had my mother’s food in 2 months, I am impressed it tastes as if I never left Miami.
I didn’t have Rice and Beans or Djon Djon that’ll be for the next time I come back
But I had a Pate Boeuf and Legume!
Cheap and Delicious!”
“Haley was an absolute pleasure to order from. Great customer service and made us feel not only welcome but carried on a great conversation during the process. Outstanding drinks we received and service. Nice lil set up and we enjoyed the covered deck while waiting and conversing. Highly recommend Slowbomb Coffee!”
“Randa is the best, her cardamom latte is my favorite. I miss seeing her smiley face, and the best BREW in Portland!!!”
“Pizza Rosalie makes a delicious pizza. They have limited hours that they do make pizza, but when they do make pizza -- it's really good. Definitely give them a shot if you are in the Hillsdale neighborhood of Portland. The ingredients were flavorful and fresh and the dough was fantastic.
Vegetarian options: Some pizza options for vegetarians.”
“Went to this restaurant on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Food was phenomenal! Best meal we have had in Portland in a while. Wait staff was super friendly, helpful, and the owner came over and checked on us and engaged in conversation to ensure we had a great dining experience. Would highly recommend!!”
“Excellent customer service!!! Large selection of beverages, breakfast sandwiches and muffins. Very efficient baristas taking excellent care of drive through customers. Need a burger fix? Hit the Spot food cart is in the same parking lot!!!!”
“Best place ever for the morning, I had 2 races in the morning so we went there for drinks, I got a smoothie that was the best smoothie I ever had, it also probably gave me super powers cause I’ve been doing really good on my races, everybody should go here. It’s also SUPER cheap”
“Cute and super quirky little café. You can tell the owner loves running her business. Unfortunately, the wait time for a couple drinks was super long, and the drinks were very expensive. However, the ambience is eclectic and charming, and the drinks are very good.”
“Great service, friendly staff and very delicious, fresh fish at a fair price. Plus they are celiac friendly! We will definitely be back.”
“Always friendly service and great coffee. I especially appreciate that they have a wide variety of sugar free flavors. This is really my new favorite coffee place.”
“All the dogs were cooked to perfection and delicious! The hand dipped corn dogs are to die for! Get any dog or sausage as a corn dog! The options are plenty and definitely worth the stop. Prices are very reasonable. I'm not a hotdog person and I loved this place.”
“Seriously my favorite bowl of ramen in the city. Super spicy and delicious. The broth is tasty, full bodied and very satisfying, perfectly complimenting the soft, doughy noodles. Five stars.”
“Very nice and toasty heated outdoor seating, colorful and flavorful food, friendly staff.”
Fine Dining
“We went to Chef Adams' new concept, Astera, to celebrate my mom's birthday.
As has been the case with all of Chef Adams' food that I've been able to try, the plates were stunningly beautiful,, thoughtfully conceived and composed, and absolutely delicious.
What sets Astera apart, aside from being a true vegan fine dining experience, is the care and consideration Chef Adams and his staff show to every single guest. They made my mom feel so special, and it felt like he was speaking directly to her when he urged all of us to be kind to ourselves.
The communal dining experience was very special. This is a meal I won't forget for a long time.”
“I am not sure where to start! Made a last minute reservation, last seat available at the Chef's counter. This must be the best place to sit at! Service was outstanding; attentive and caring with great recommendations. Friendly neighbors too!”
“Everything. This is not just going to dinner. This is a dining experience. It’s a small reserved venue. Yes it’s spendy, but worth every penny. You’ll try food you never thought you try. The mostly seafood menu it so well prepared. Plus you can watch the prepared each course. A fun night.”
“I am so grateful for Portland Juice Co and their amazing high quality living foods. The juices, smoothies, and probiotics are alive and full of nutrient rich enzymes. Small businesses like Portland Juice are such a gift to the marketplace and I appreciate that they choose such good ingredients for their delicious juices and smoothies. I can taste the nutrition ?”
“If you want stellar service, classic ambiance, finest in a steak house - the fillet mignon, prime rib - lobster mash potatoes and many creative sides- Ringside Uptown is the place to go. We celebrated a birthday and felt like we were totally taken care of from the minute we walked in, to the cocktails and appetizers, to the steaks, lobster to the finishing desert! Always the best place to celebrate fine dining and special occasions!”
“We finally got here after attempting to get a reservation for months. It was so worth the effort. First, the service was exceptional, from the 4 servers attending us. Each bite exploded with flavor! So many courses, but you are never overwhelmed by feeling stuffed. Try to try again to get into this amazing dining experience.”
“Fresh, delicious and tasty soul food! All fried food is made once ordered. The greens had meaty flavorful ham hock and the Mac and cheese was tasty and delicious. We will be back!”
“My good friend Renee and I had an enchanted evening at Domaine Serene where we had the pleasure of trying their ambitious new menu which is now available to the public. The new menu has been crafted in collaboration with iconic, local Executive Chef George Morris, of Bos Taurus and Nomé notoriety, and features creative wine-inspired cuisine with a French bistro flair, and notable Pacific Northwest ingredients. We had been eagerly anticipating the new menu launch event, and it was a memorable and magical experience with every course. Our multi-course dinner was exceptional, and the world class wine pairings were curated with thoughtfulness. Some of our favorite dishes included: Amuse-Bouche // Shigoku Oysters on The Half Shell w/ Blood Orange ‘R’ Rosé Granita, & Yuzu Kosho. Beef Short Rib Bourguignon // Creamy Polenta, Root Vegetables, w/ a Red Wine Jus. For me, the culinary star of the show, and probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever had: The Steamed Foie Gras Wontons A rich, delectable creation framed with a Smoke-Forward Shoyu, and Aromatic; Miyagi Chili Oil, Hints of Mint From the Shiso, and the citrus notes from the lime accentuated the strengths of the dish with a delicate balance. With their exciting new menu, and added team members, now is a great time to go experience the serendipity of Domaine Serene for yourself.”
“Absolutely top notch! We knew it was going to be good but the evening exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Chef's 7 Course Tasting and each dish was so beautifully plated and presented and the tastes were unique and delightful. The ambience is gorgeous and you can't get a better view of Mt Hood on a clear night. If I had one suggestion, the air vents above the tables along the window were pumping out some pretty cold air, so that could probably be dialed back a bit. Otherwise, the perfect eveningl”

Though it was busy food came at a respectable time and was delicious.

“Food was great; service was exceptional and helpful in making each of our several selections,, from wine to starters to entrees to dessert, the perfect ones. The entire experience was wonderful and while there are many great places to eat in Portland, this one has been the most welcoming and welcomed during our two-week visit from out-of-state, primarily for restaurant-exploration, dining out every day and night.”
“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.”
Cheap Eats
“This spot has lots of options (vegetarian, dairy free, gluten free). It’s not too busy even on a holiday weekend. I loved the cute diner feel and clean air inside. It wasn’t too hard to park and the service was friendly. I will say our dishes weren’t the tastiest but all things considered it was a win.
Dietary restrictions: Almond milk for dairy free, can exclude or choose options without gluten, can omit meat”
“The collection of books and board games is AMAZING. Not to mention the artwork and attention to detail for the experience. DEFINITELY recommend whether with your kiddos or as a date night experience destination.”
“The best tamales iv ever had and before I went vegan I definitely had my fair share of tamales!! The masa was perfect! The beans had sooo much flavor. She definitely loads up the plate too 100/10?”
“Hopefully the owner of this shop is so proud of the community establishment she has created! I have been temporarily living a block away for work the last few months and this place has saved me. I missed the anniversary party and any other events she may have had, but it’s been a delight having such a gem near by. Even if I move a little further from the city, this unassuming place is worth the trek! The creativity, attention to detail, and care can almost be tasted in the air…. although i recommend actually tasting one of her pastries! Hehe. Quiche also must be “grandmas secret recipe” type deal. 10/10 .. or 5/5 whatever it is, check this spot out!!!
Kid-friendliness: Community. Atmosphere.”
“Wow. I’m not all the way vegan yet! But let me tell you. With this place… I might be vegan sooner than you know. It was so amazing. The fried chicken was so freakin good. The fish was almost like a catfish but not quite. The Mac and cheese was tasty and the greens were spot on. I love I found this place.”
“Incredible. I’ve never felt such a profound emotional reaction to something as simply advertised as pizza. It was an out of body experience and I’m assuming it’s this way because it’s somebody’s life work. It’s the only explanation I have. If that’s the case then it’s somehow elaborately deceptive in its facade of simple ingredients because it’s completely engineered to make you feel something so profound it catches you off guard in a world full of distractions.”
“A coffee shop that roasts everything in Portland. It's located on the second floor of a building, and the older brother makes coffee at a cute coffee counter.”
“Love this place so much! Always hits the spot. The feijoada reminds me of some good southern red beans and rice. Greens are always seasoned and cooked perfectly.”
“I love this food so much! My family and I have been going to the 14th St carts for a long time now, and we always have a great time. Mama’s Peruvian Bowls is FAVORITE cart. The food is amazing, and I love the people who own the cart. They are so friendly. I HIGHLY recommend MPB!”
“Bomb burgers with perfect lacy edges and the best malt blackberry shake I’ve ever had. We ordered the deluxe burger and a lemon pepper chicken sandwich with deluxe curly fries. I may be slightly comatose still but damn did it hit. Shockingly un busy for a Saturday lunch, no wait. Highly recommended.”
“I got their espresso flight which included espresso and filter coffee with their house blend, two different single origin espresso shots, and sparkling water. They have very interesting anaerobic processed coffee to taste. There were lots of people in the shop and workers were friendly.”
“Had some friends eat here and they raved about the food and the service. They highly recommend this venue.”
“Holy cow! We just ordered a delivery order from here. They finished the order faster than they said, exceeding expectations. Then when we got the food it was hot and delicious! I got the blue cheese smash burger and it was PHENOMENAL!!! Excellent flavors! Also, the battered fries were out of this world!
We will definitely be eating here again!”
“This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. The service is warm, helpful, and appreciative. I always ask for Joy as she is a true professional and loves providing an exceptional experience on every visit.”
“Extremely cute little German restaurant restaurant. Wonderful absolutely wonderful food.
Vegan latkes????? SO MUCH YES.
VEGAN gnocchi amd spatzle??? And delicous?? Please. I wish I'd known this was here prior.
Having had German food from our family years back- after I got dairy and egg allergies a few decades back, I lost out on the cuisine.
I'll be back here again many a time as possible”
“We got the peperoni with hot honey very good in taste. The beat salad had a Vinaigrette on it i understand that the viniger is the main ingredient in a Vinaigrette but the vinegar are a bit to strong..i Would come back again for the pizza

“First time eating Ethiopian food, trusted the waiter to choose our food and wine pairing and he hit it spot on! Everything was absolutely delicious. So fresh and spicy and flavorful. We will definitely be back often!”
“This place took over what used to be Pot & Spicy. The interior is pretty much the same - nice and simple. The food offerings was a bit similar to before. We ordered a few skewers and a bowl of Beef Golden Soup to share. The server was friendly and quick to get our order in. The bacon needle mushroom and beef skewers were tasty, as well as the chicken heart skewers. The popcorn chicken could have used a better batter, in my opinion. It was more of a panko coat to it and needed more spice to it. The Beef Golden Soup was flavorful, and I enjoyed it.”
“Went here for dinner, I had the curry and chicken appetizer. It was so YUMMY! My husband had the steak plate. It was all so good. Wish the curry wasn't vegetarian! Food tasted very fresh and authentic.”
“Best date night go to. All I can say is you have to go! The pictures speak for themselves.”
“We enjoyed the egg rolls, noodles, and general tso chicken. The dumplings were okay. For the price ($13-20 each dish) I'd expect bigger portions. The cocktails were tasty but small (4-6oz) for $16+ each. The service was friendly and attentive.”
“Excellent food, wine and service. We sat at the bar and enjoyed several dishes, such as oysters and fresh fish and produce which changes frequently. Locally sourced ingredients make for fresh and delicious selections.”
“Absolutely incredible! The food is delicious, the portions are just right, and the staff are so kind and attentive. We had a lovely dinner there and despite having a lot of tables, the restaurant was not loud at all. So easy to chat and enjoy our meal we ended up being there for three hours! Everything was incredible. Highly recommend.
Dietary restrictions: Some vegetarian options. Falafel and lots of the appetizers (which were quite generous) are vegetarian. The menu is well marked for vegetarian and gluten free items.”
“We sat at the bar and loved the atmosphere… service was superb (thank you Nick) and the food delicious”
“Absolutely delicious! We've been wanting to try this place for a while but they are always busy. With good reason!
We scored a table outside and had a lovely dinner. Will definitely be back!”
“I recently attended an event catered by Kabob and was delighted by the variety and quality of the dishes they provided. The choices I made were all vegetarian, but from the comments I over heard everyone enjoyed their non-vegetarian meals as much as I did my plant based one.”
“Fantastic quality and great and friendly service. Highly recommended!”
“Let me start by saying the food is perfect, absolutely delicious. Service is also fantastic.
I'm giving a 4 only because I have to remove a star for wheelchair accessibility. The ramp is fairly steep, they don't have parking so you might have to park around the block, and the hallway for the bathroom is narrow, bathroom is single occupant and that's a bonus for me it did have space but could only fit a slim wheelchair through the door.
Parking: No parking lot, Street parking is paid with the Parking Kitty App.
Wheelchair accessibility: Steep ramp does have bars, thin doorway entrance on the ramp. Bathroom hallway also narrow but did accommodate my Lightweight manual thin wheelchair.”
“Delicious and beautiful food!!! I miss being able to eat at your restaurant because the atmosphere was always so relaxing and unique. Thanks for the amazing food and experience!”
“We loved this place so much…where do I begin? Let’s start at the service. We had quite a late group of adults and kids and they accommodated us on two tables with ease. Our server was incredible in keeping both tables well taken care of.
The food here was amazing. Geoduck, gnocchi, braised shortrib, charcuterie and cheese,…everything was perfectly cooked and full of great flavors. Chocolate ice cream for dessert is a must.
Wine and cocktail menu was solid as well.
This was our first time here and we already can’t wait to come back. ??????
Kid-friendliness: Great for kids.”
“Tartuca was an excellent and delectable experience, all around. Felt lots of warmth and friendliness, from walking in the door at the hostess stand all the way to the end.
Appreciated the simplicity of the menu. Our server was very patient and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu, which we had a few of.
Got the mushroom pasta and seasonal (squash blossom) pizza, with the caeser salad. All of the food was fresh, tastefully presented, and very delectable. The mushroom pasta was my favorite, with the corn contrasting the lobster + king oyster mushrooms perfect, combined with a crunchiness to contrast the creaminess & softness of the pasta + sauce itself.
Definitely will be returning to try more of the items on the menu. The kale pizza looked very intriguing.”
“An absolute neighborhood gem!! I wish I lived here because I would be back at least once a week for the Chor Muang (Royal Flower dumpling). The flavors were big, and each dish has a special connection to the Thai cuisine, and the owner is so kind and personable sharing his vision behind the dishes.”
“You cannot say anything bad about please place, sorry. They are one of the best kept secrets in Portland.”
“Dead shot was an amazing experience. The point of the pallet is to set the tone and let the masters decide your fate. You won't be disappointed, humbled and ready for my next visit.”
“This was a fantastic date night choice. Very small, cozy space. Definitely recommend making reservations! While we were very happy with our food, the rosti was a little bland and tasted vaguely of potato and bacon. Not much seasoning or other flavors. I think the two dressings would have been great on it, but they snatched them quick before our main dishes arrived and I didn't even think to ask for them until after we left! The service was great. We forgot our leftovers but the server ran it out to us, which was very sweet.”
“The duck was a bit tough, and the pho was assemble it yourself, DIY. But the crab pancakes, peanuts and morning glories were all great. $200 for four including 2 glasses of wine.”
“I took my boss here, because I know she has a kink for Tiki bars, and this is the ultimate one. If you were just walking by you'd completely miss it. From the outside it looks like nothing special, but once you walk in, you're immediately transferred into a different dimension. The cocktails are amazing, but good luck picking just one, as there are about 40+ handcrafted cocktails on their menu. The food is also great, the lumpia and short ribs served with furikake rice, Hawaiian mac, and Choi's kimchi are my personal favorites.”
“Craving something a little adventurous tonight, decided to see what the hype was about. Totally efficient ordering and pickup. Sooooo delicious - wish I had ordered MANY orders of the dumplings. Next time! Every bite a new taste sensation. This is why we ❤️ restaurants!”
“One of the more proper bars in Portland. Great selection, nice ambiance, outdoor seating in the summer.
Kid-friendliness: Don’t try bringing your kids to a bar.”
“Great food! Great service!”
“Great food at a reasonable price. Our server was very sweet and the food came out quickly. There's not a lot of comfortable seating options, mainly chairs and benches outside. But you don't come here for an aesthetic experience, you come here for really good food and a quick and casual dining experience. I got the Walmart salad and Chirashi bowl and if I could have I would have eaten 2 bowls of everything. Would absolutely recommend and would come again (if I wasn't traveling from another state).
Parking: There's a free lot but there's limited parking. We didn't have a problem with getting a spot because it looked like several other diners walked to the restaurant.”
“Sayler's Old Country Kitchen is a beloved restaurant known for its hearty American fare and nostalgic ambiance. Located in Portland, Oregon, it's famous for its massive portions, particularly its steaks and prime rib. The restaurant has a cozy, old-school diner feel, making it a great spot for families or anyone craving classic comfort food. Whether you're in the mood for a filling breakfast, a juicy steak dinner, or their renowned onion rings, Sayler's is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. If you're in Portland and looking for a memorable dining experience, Sayler's Old Country Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!”
“Great food in a nice atmosphere.”
“A phenomenal meal.
Delicate flavors with nuanced textures. Immaculate atmosphere, great service. The staff are hugely knowledgeable about the wine list, which is a great sign.
Every dish was a hit.”
“I felt so welcomed and graciously attended from the beginning to the end of my experience at Feral. Myself and my 3 sisters loved everything we got, which was most of the menu. We stayed a long time to talk and digest and felt no pressure to leave the table even though it was Friday night and the place was filled. Feral is the expert mix of relaxed and class. The food is dynamic and delicious always. I especially appreciate the genuine good humans who work so hard to make it happen. Thank you!
Dietary restrictions: All vegan food, gf options.
Parking: Plenty of parking around in the neighborhood.”
“Very quaint Japanese bistro with traditional menu offerings. Plus specials written on the wall.
We were lucky to fit in a "quick" bite. RSVP would be highly recommended for this newer restaurant.
The staff is friendly and attentive. The chef is beautifully focused but when he looks up to hand you your food, the smile on his face says everything. Enjoy!
We enjoyed Tako karaage-so perfectly cooked and tasty. Garlic shishito pepper-not spicy, light pepper with fish flakes, we liked it with the Tako dipping sauce. Albacore yuzu omoi-super light and tender, melts in your mouth. California roll-because it's made with REAL CRAB! And a special clam offered tonight, cooked perfect. Clams in a light buttery broth.... Just delightful.”
“We had a fabulous 3rd or 4th visit, so consistent. We like to dine outside, and the patio is so cute. And away from the traffic. Our waitress was fab, the food delicious and timely, the drinks spot on. I'm celiac, and felt each time they really welcomed me. It would be lovely to have a slightly broader array of gf options but the chicken is so good I don't really mind. And the corn knocked my socks off!”
“One of the places to eat in Portland
Every time we go, we all try something different
However, we always get the fry bread no matter what...
Never disappointed
Cocktails are on point, dessert is always delicious and my whole family always says... why don't we come here more...
Love this place
PS ...not a big drinker, but no matter what I always get a fresh fashioned and never disappoints”
“I can't stop thinking about the celery salad and the warm olives”
“My husband and I came here for Valentine's day, and I was absolutely shocked at how phenomenal the food was. We will be coming back for special occasions, and have claimed Lilas as our designated date night spots. The Focaccia bread is divine!”
“Yummy Hawaiian food! A little too salty but still delicious. Food portions were big. Craft beer inside and food truck outside. The surrounding area and street has quite a few RV’s/tents/homeless people riding bikes and walking up and down the street. Didnt feel super unsafe while I was there”
“Came into Portland for a weekend trip and looked up some good places for a nice, fancy date dinner. Jeju did not disappoint.
Everything we had was top tier fantastic, the atmosphere was stellar, and for such a high class experience, we felt the meal we had was very reasonably priced even after some add-ons.
The banchan was some of the best I’ve had from any Korean restaurant, and extremely unique to this location. Of course you had daikon and cabbage kimchi, but pickled carrots, stellar flash-fried broccoli and cauliflower, and a silky, roe-topped egg set this apart.
The dumplings were incredible along with the kanpachi for an excellent starter.
The ssam was outstanding, perfectly seasoned cuts of meat provided along with lettuce for wrapping and a variety of toppings.
This perfect meal concluded with easily the best flan I have ever eaten in my life, hands down. This desert was so beyond stellar, I rarely have had a desert so perfectly executed.
If you’re thinking of hitting up Jeju for a special night, definitely check it out! You will not regret it!
Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my nut allergy very well.”
“Some of the absolute best food you will ever eat in your life!”
“This place had a great staff, that was very welcoming. The choice to dine inside or outside, plus a large tent area outside. The food was on point, choosing from slider size or full size, gives everyone the portion size that suits their stomachs desire. A nice cool evening to be outside.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan Available
Kid-friendliness: Children allowed”
“This is one of the most delicious places I’ve ever been to!!”
“An absolute delight! We had the saagshuka and shrimp and grits. Both were full of flavor and spice! And our server was the sweetest! Really made our visit extra special with his good vibes and attentiveness.”
“Had a very special time with our group of five. Adam made the whole experience easy and fun!”
“In Portland interviewing wine distributors for the weekend and we started off the entire trip with dinner here, what an excellent choice, definitely will make a return trip!”
“Warm cozy atmosphere, friendly service, fine cocktails.”
“We had another fabulous meal this past weekend. Sampled some of the new options on the menu along with some of the standard fare. Vary creative pairings of items and spices in each dish.”
“I enjoyed the grilled vegetable platter. Also, the in-house baked, fresh piping hot out the oven pita bread was amazing with the hummus. Save room for dessert because tue baklava is amazing! Everything was so fresh! I can’t forget about the staff. He was attentive and pleasant. I look forward to visiting again soon.”
“I am not sure where to start! Made a last minute reservation, last seat available at the Chef's counter. This must be the best place to sit at! Service was outstanding; attentive and caring with great recommendations. Friendly neighbors too!”
“Attentive service and excellent food. Sausage roll is a must.”
“Food was ok, decent portions. Seafood curry was the least yummy. Cucumber salad was delicious! Server girl was meh. Hostess was really nice. Place was loud and busy, not a complaint.”
“Quaint little place, very clean & attractive inside. Ramen was so delicious, especially the broths. They chargrilled the pork for the enhanced flavor. The bamboo shoots were pickled? very tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The assorted tempura was surprisingly good, especially the fresh & thick shiitake mushroom(only 1). The added fresh grated white radish & ginger was a nice touch. I added the fresh grated ginger to my Shio Ramen, wonderful. Parking limited to 1 hr in a small shopping center. 2 thumbs up.”
“Can’t beat the $8 margherita pizza! The vegan pizza was excellent. Very nice clean and casual atmosphere.”
“I came here for wine with a close friend, the owner was very welcoming and offered great insight into the wine. We enjoyed his recommendations. Didn’t have any of the food, but it smelled amazing! Will come again.”
“Stopped in for the celebration of the Little Beast / Harvest Moon Brewery (Japan).
It's a rare thing to find a great rice lager so perhaps it should be done by one of the United States' preeminent rare beer brewers. The addition of great, wild yeasts in this beer was bold, impressive and lovely to experience.”
“Friendly staff, delicious pub food with an interesting twist, a good beer selection, and great cocktails!”
“I found the food to be too salty over a variety of offerings. Delicious, but overly salty. Deviled Eggs, Farm Greens Salad, Seafood Roll, Chickpea Panisse - delicious but too much salt. Cocktails were excellent and well balanced. Patio out back was quite pleasant. Good service but you have to order at the bar.”

“We use to go to the Hi Hat in Tigard for our Chinese food. But they closed years ago. So we have been going to the place in downtown Tigard. And they are just OK. Nothing special. So tonight we tired Kuang's Kitchen. And WOW. The BBQed pork was very moist, the String Bean Pork was flavorful with the right ratio of beans to pork. 10-ingredient fried rice had everything listed and very good. This will now be our go to place for good Chinese food.”
“The food is amazing, the prices are great and speed is fast! The atmosphere isn't the best but the food makes up for it!”
“We ordered thru UberEats. While UberEats won’t rectify any issues you might have, I called the restaurant, and they explained how they were able to accommodate an allergy. The food was delicious! We will be back. My kids loved the seared salmon donut., and the banana B-ritto. I had the treasure roll and a bowl with mixed fish. We got wasabi mayo sauce, chili sauce and another orange mayo- delicious. We kinda stuffed ourselves, to be honest. (And they use paper goods to wrap their food instead of plastic.) thank you!”
“I usually get very good food here. But just ordered a coney long dog and went right home around the corner. The weiner wasn't even luke warm. Only thing that was somewhat a little over warm was the coney sauce. I guess I will have to try out at the McGloughlin Roakes. This was very depressing and disappointing.”
“I can't remember when I bought my first printer from Portland Printer Place, but Chris has always been top notch.”
“The waiter was snappy and rude and condescending.”
“Dinner with a couple of friends and we decided to try out the menu. Started with Aracini and the MB Salad. Delicious! On to the main dishes of Foie & Chicken Mousse, Grilled Prawns and King Salmon with Grilled Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts. Finished with the Gilled Bananas Foster. All the dishes were excellent. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or efficient.”
“I am by no means a Vegan. In fact if there is an afterlife I am sure I will have many many furry faces waiting for me for my crimes of rampant meat consumption. So setting that as the starting off point I eat the vegan bowl here like two or three times a week. This girl is an absolute wok goddess. I have no idea how she manages to cook every single piece of vegetables in her stir frys without ever making a single piece go limp. I have a deep and abiding childhood hatred of cauliflower. It is marrow deep to the point of irrational dislike on my end. Yet when that vile weed appears at random in her stir fry I am not only okay with it, but thoroughly enjoy the dish. Even her rice is several steps ahead of the competition. The curried Garbonzo beans are simply perfect. The fresh diced cucumber and carrot makes the perfect crunchy contrast with the amazing rice and curried legumes. The fresh lime juice makes her dishes flirt with sweetness while still being savory. If your tired of the same old boring grease soaked fries and cheese slathered mediocre slabs of low grade meat check out this cart. The flavors are both well seasoned yet not over powering. She has a chefs touch to be sure. Plus my heart I am sure prefers the fare far more than another artery clogging mass of American failure cuisine.”
“Dear Restaurant Owners, pls return our overhead tasteful Mexican dining music whereby the volume was just right, not once too loud! Our dining atmosphere is still & unappealing because No music is No good.”
“Lalibela server the best Ethiopian Cuisine with excellent service.”

“Wood fired pizza was fantastic! Specialty cocktails are a must and atmosphere was great. Sat at the pizza bar and it was fun watching them prep and make the food. Really enjoyed the experience overall.
Parking: Not many spots on site, had to walk a bit from the street parking spot that we got lucky with.”
“Had a great d be inner. Wonderful tasting food and great views.”
“Excellent experience great food, Papaya Salad a must to try”
“Not sure why it took us so long to visit Ruth Chris... Eddie and I enjoyed a delicious dinner there last week. We loved the delightful fresh bread, followed by a shrimp appetizer, and steak and lobster. Save room for the delicious personal size cheesecake, it was the perfect ending to the meal. The management is present and attentive. Looking forward to dining there again! Dawn K.”
“Everything the food as well as Jonathan yonathon our waiter works exceptionally good. We've been coming here for five years twice a year. This is our ninth time. My mother is now 100 years old or celebrating three of our birthdays. It was absolutely excellent. When we got the bill, everything was mixed up three different times we had to wait up to 40 minutes to get our bill corrected numerous times thank you”
“Came highly recommended while I was on a mini vacation. I got the Uptown Shrimp and Grits and was not disappointed. This made my soul feel yummy and warm as it began to rain. What a way to start my last day in Portland.”
“Departure is a must for locals and tourists alike. If you’re looking for an elegant, comfortable, yet intimate dinner, the indoor dining space is where you’ll want to sit. Their funhouse walls make the experience that much more memorable & the staff are quick to take care of each and every guest. Make your way outside to their deck for a quick date night drink & sushi roll with a view of the pioneer courthouse festivities. We visited during the Festival of Lights in the winter time and the fireplaces kept us warm!”

“First visit and tried five different menu items, each of which was delicious. Excited to try all the other dishes.
The interior is lovely and they have a great outdoor dining space as well which is equally welcoming.
The staff was friendly and delightful. The value is as good as anything you can find in town.
This places is killing it with a lovely space, friendly and helpful staff, and great value. The food is absolutely fantastic and i hope they stick around for a long, long time. New favorite Thai restaurant in Portland.
Do yourself a favor and give it a try before word gets out.”

- could be spicier
- what you'd expect, but in a good w was y
- I kind of love the crunch

- refreshing
- a little too orange forward to me, wish it had less orange, more lemon, but it's totally a personal preference

“Easily the best Indian food we've had in Oregon. So many excellent dishes. We've been twice now and every item we have ordered has been very flavorful and well prepared. Will definitely be back!”
“Everything was delicious, all favors well balanced. My favorite was the scallop and a5 wagyu, I am still dreaming about those dishes. The wine pairing sound fantastic too bad I can't drink much. Top notch service and it was cute they gave us champagne for our 10th anniversary. Highly recommended, this place will be tough to book in the future.”
“The service was on point! Honestly I like the set they have, and the food came out quickly. I'm not vegetarian, but I only ordered vegetarian dishes because they all looked so good! I'll be going back to try some of the meatier dishes soon, but I'm glad they have vegan, veggie, and meaty options on the menu. IMO a huge step up from Sweet Hereafter (sorry fans of the old place).”
“As a dairy free gluten free girly, this is the spot!! The cookie monster is amazing, and the staff are so kind!! It's so nice to have gluten free cones and toppings as well. I love that they're open late so you can stop by after dinner!”
“Cute brunch spot with great Mexican food.
Vegetarian options: Easy to find a vegetarian option or swap a vegetarian version of a meat in existing dishes (soyrizo)”
“Quickly becoming a favorite stop, especially on farmer's market days. The drinks are quality, solid beans for sale, the baristas are always awesome, and the space is cozy, warm, and welcoming. Plus you can order Ranch pizza if you stand at the register and look left, which... yeah, duh, do it.”
“My partner and I really like this place. The owner (Lex) is also really nice! I appreciate the portions, too.
The lamb naco was delicious. The lamb was flavorful, and it had a nice kick to it. The naco (naan + taco = naco) was excellent and fluffy. The chicken bowl was also really good; the gravy was delicious.
The salad was flavorful (I always appreciate a well-prepared salad)!
We will be coming back!”
“Wow! Roast duck is one of my top 3 favorite foods and this place is an absolute gem. Tender, great flavor, and generous portion for a great price.
Do yourself a favor and eat here”
“We catered from Vanakkam PDX for two events. The food was excellent both the times. Bala worked with us to curate the menu as per our desire and delivered it. It was appreciated by every guest. Family from outside Oregon appreciated the food too. Non Indian neighbors loved it as well. The quantity was more than what we expected. This is definitely our go-to place for any catering orders.
We have also dined in and totally loved the service. Highly recommend this place if u r looking for authentic Indian food.”
“The vanilla pound cake with cherries and whipped cream was sooo good. Just look at that ratio! Other dishes I enjoyed were the Cajun pasta and the smash burger. Good selection of N/A beverages.”
“A simple place with really unusual pizza. At first, I wasn't wild about the idea of a thick crust pizza, almost like focaccia - but I quickly changed my mind upon the first bite.
We only ordered their gluten free pizza, so I can't attest to their regular crust. GF pizza crusts have gotten pretty good over the years, so I've come to expect it, but I never tasted anything like this one.
The sides of the crust had a crisp crunch, and I understand that Wisconsin Brick cheese was incorporated into the edges. Wow. The middle, which I was afraid would be dry and tasteless, was full of flavor.
Sauce and toppings were excellent and of high quality.
I was told that the owner has a bakery background, and it's clear that they know what they're doing. I wish them luck with this new business; I'll certainly be back.
Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free options
Parking: Shared lot”
“I went on a weekday at 6pm so there were lots of seats but as it got later, it was packed!
Environment: The area was a lot brighter and I loved the mood of it. It felt welcoming and there were booths around the area. There were tables for 2 and up to maybe 8-10 people as well. I liked the decorations as it wasn't too much but it was still nice and they had Chinese background music playing.
Behind the seats there was a sauce bar where you can get sauce (of course) as well as fruits, small dishes like pig ears and radish, and Chinese "sweet water" dessert.
Staff: They were quick and efficient. They checked on us multiple times to see if we needed more soup. They mostly served us food and helped us with the soup and water. Everything else we grabbed by the sauce bar.
Food: Okay, we ordered a lot so thanks for reading all the way to the bottom (HAHAHAH)
1. Soup bases:
#5 Umami mushroom broth: this was umami indeed. Very flavorful and lots of mushrooms. They were really delicious, all bouncy, a bit chewy, and not overcooked as you let them boil. This soup base did get a bit saltier as time went on so ask a server to pour some water to dilute it just a bit.
#8 Flavorful bone marrow broth: this was lighter but to be honest, this had enough flavor on its own, too. I didn't use the sauce bar because I can't handle spicy foods and this was already savory enough.
2. 1 Meter beef and lamb meat: first of all, extra points for appearance! It was long and grand! I heard that the servers slice the meats themselves so the meats stay fresh. I'm so glad they do this instead of buying frozen pre cut meat. It makes a difference. The meat was so tender and with a little fat in between made it extra delicious.
3. Flat Iron Beef: again, super tender and with some fat it made the meat more flavorful and delicious. It didn't feel greasy or filling and the portion was reasonable!
4. Fish ball with fish roe: you need to be careful when eating this because there's super hot fish roe inside.
5. Ox tongue: the ox tongue was fresh but it was hard to cook it just right because it got super chewy. It felt like I was chewing on a beef flavored gum and I couldn't swallow some pieces.
6. Handmade meatball with cilantro: the texture of the meatball was nice. It wasn't very hard and it kind of falls apart as you eat it, kind of like western meatball. The downside was that it was too salty.
7. Bean curd sticks AND bean curd rolls: they're both soy products and you should get BOTH of them because they soak up all the soup and flavors.
8. Snakehead fish filet: the name is a little weird but the filet was delicious! Soft, tender, and smooth! No fishy smell or taste. I'd highly recommend this one!
9. Pumpkin: I believe it's Japanese pumpkin and after boiling it for awhile, it was good. It was sweet and the thickness of the slices were nice so you have a nice bite but it's not too thin where it turns to mush or too big that you feel like it's a lot of work to bite into.
10. I got mango passionfruit tea without the extra sugar syrup. Very good with the meal as having something cold and a bit sweet/tangy was nice. Generous cup and the combination was good.
11. Mango snow ice: the consistency and texture of the snow ice was really good! It was creamy and fresh pieces of mangoes to go along with it, it was a great way to end the meal! There were also mixtures of condensed milk and mango syrup. Those areas were extra sweet. Perhaps if I requested less syrup, it would be better but overall, I really enjoyed it. I couldn't finish this on my own so the table shared it with me and all liked it!
Did you read all the way to the end? HAHA. Yes, some may say that this place is pricier than oth”
“The best!! You won’t be disappointed. Staff are clearly experts and enjoy being there. So much fun energy too! Mind. Blown.”
