I’m obsessed with their oyster bar, especially the Grassy Bar oysters and the charbroiled oysters. I always order the house-made chowder 50/50, it’s half Classic New England and half Veracruz fish chowder. It’s rich, flavorful, and truly the best of both worlds.
I’m a big fan of their shared plates, which is where Lure really shines. Favorites include the bacon cheddar biscuits with whipped honey goat cheese, crab cakes, and a classic Caesar salad that never disappoints. Everything is well-executed and perfect for sharing.
Their specialty cocktails are also worth ordering and pair well with the food, especially during happy hour.
The vibe is lively but not overwhelming, making it perfect for after-work drinks or a casual dinner with friends. I personally love sitting at the bar or oyster bar, it’s the best way to experience the space. Service has always been friendly and efficient,

“This place is all natural. I stumbled on this cute shop via instagram. The vibe makes you feel like you traveled to the caribbean and left california temporarily. There was a lady trying out samples of the juices while i was there and she couldnt stop talking about how good the santa rosa juice was. I highly recommend getting the dirty monkey smoothies. They offer acai bowls, juices, smoothies and cleanse programs. The employees are very sweet and kind. Free small parking lot. Reasonable prices. Dont forget to sign up for their reward programs as well.”

“Dan closed the brewery down for the Ventura County Sportfishing Club holiday party event. 60-70 members/guests attended. The staff handled the party with aplomb and assured everyone enjoyed the evening. This is some of the best craft beer you can find. The food was amazing and plentiful especially the short ribs. I would encourage a visit for some great beers. And if you are having an event, I would strongly suggest working with these folks. These are some of the nicest people you will find at any establishment in Ventura. I will be a regular.”

They are open Thursday through Monday from 4 pm to 9 pm and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Happy hour runs daily from 4 to 6 pm and all night on Mondays. And yes, you can order happy hour from anywhere you sit in the restaurant, which immediately earns bonus points.
Mondays have the best energy. It is relaxed but still lively. I am obsessed with their salads, especially the Caesar, heavy on the parm please.
The happy hour menu never misses. Smash burger with fries and garlic aioli is a must. And if you are getting a drink, go for the Negroni. They make a very good one, balanced and done right.

They offer wood-fired pizza, a sourdough bakery, and natural wine, with two distinct experiences.
Bakery and café run from 8am–2pm.
Dinner service runs 3pm–9pm.
Open Thursday through Monday.
The entrance alone is worth mentioning. A cool, alley-style walk-up on Palm Street behind Capriccio makes it feel tucked away and special. Inside seating is cozy and limited, so I recommend making a reservation if you want to sit indoors. Otherwise, the outdoor patio has heaters and a great atmosphere. It is counter service, and gratuity is included.
Parking is easy with a free public parking lot behind the building and another across the street, which is always a plus downtown.
Food wise, everything feels thoughtful and well executed. I started with the market greens, simple, crisp, and tossed in a fresh vinaigrette. You really cannot go wrong with any of the pizzas, but the Emily Alba is my favorite for that perfect sweet and savory balance. The house-made yuzu ranch is a must.
I also loved being able to watch the pizzas come out of the wood-fired oven. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and happy to help with recommendations.
The drink menu is just as strong, featuring minimal intervention wines, seasonal spritzes, and locally sourced beers, ciders, and meads.
Overall, Pinyon strikes the perfect balance of cozy, elevated, and approachable. A great spot for morning pastries or a relaxed dinner. Highly recommend.”

We were introduced to a concept called Musical Bingo that day, and I was delighted to make my first visit to the brewery on my 55th birthday in May. Every single one of the employees there was kind, gracious, and warm. The food was absolutely amazing and the Musical Bingo is so much fun! I have since been dragging people left and right there and recommending you guys because of what a great laid back family-friendly atmosphere it is. They are open Thursday through Monday from 4 pm to 9 pm and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Happy hour runs daily from 4 to 6 pm and all night on Mondays. And yes, you can order happy hour from anywhere you sit in the restaurant, which immediately earns bonus points.
Mondays have the best energy. It is relaxed but still lively. I am obsessed with their salads, especially the Caesar, heavy on the parm please.
The happy hour menu never misses. Smash burger with fries and garlic aioli is a must. And if you are getting a drink, go for the Negroni. They make a very good one, balanced and done right.

“I went to Sbarro on Tuesday July 11, pacific view mall Ventura Ca; I'm a regular customer because I love the pizza that Alberto manager makes; and also the very kind, great and polite customer service by Sarah, she helps me a lot to choose the variety of foods everytime that I go.However yesterday was an other guy in the morning making pizzas and was so awful pizza, it was soggy and doesn't have consistency, the guy had all the displays full of pizza and he was in the phone with his earpods and he knew that many customers were in line and he didnt pay attention to us even our line was in front of him, he didnt care to Help Sarah, she was doing all the job and taking care of all of us the customers. She did awesome job yesterday because she could handle by herself the busy time and offering us a real good customer service even though the place was very busy.The manager should not allow the earpods during the working time specially the guy that was yesterday, he had no absolutely help behaviour to his co-workers and his pizza was horrendous.However I feel grateful with Sarah because she did an incredible job (she took orders, served sides, entries, served drinks and was being cashier at the same time) Sarah and Alberto are the kind of workers that make it worth visit Sbarro.”

Our waiter came and took our drink order. Malbec for me… so good, I had to ask what it was: Öko 🤤 and my husband ordered a smash berry something. THAT was SO BOMB! A hint of mint and full flavor of berries bursting bar god deliciousness! We ordered the butter board, now the presentation could use some work… I’m more about flavor and that butter (two options) was finger lickin good. The waiter took a few minutes to chat and told us it was pineapple butter. 🤯 it’s served with small pieces of… maybe focaccia bread (which btw alone was so good too). Meanwhile, the manager has his eye on everything. He saw the moment we put down our menus, and was there to ask is we has any questions. I did: there’s no house salad on the menu & he accommodated my request for one, which was a deciding factor for my main course. The SoCal Bolognese was bursting with flavor. This is new to the menu, we’ve been a few times… my husband is a fan, I was never impressed… until last night. The chorizo was spicy, but not overpowering, pasta cooked perfectly. The house salad could’ve used more tomatoes, but I really can’t complain since it’s not on the menu to begin with. My husband ordered the ahi steak on top of green beans and he said it was really good. It looked amazing, but I was in heaven with the butter board & the bolognese, my palate couldn’t handle the flavor overload 😜 After about 6 visits, I finally found something worth writing home about. For sure putting this place back into rotation. And the prices… very reasonable. Might be coming here a lot more. Everyone was super nice and helpful.”

After calling Ventura and talking to the manager they agreed that next time we come in the meals would be on them. Well as time goes along some things get lost and today the wife found the receipt and called up the restaurant and talk to the manager his name is Nicholas. “Dan closed the brewery down for the Ventura County Sportfishing Club holiday party event. 60-70 members/guests attended. The staff handled the party with aplomb and assured everyone enjoyed the evening. This is some of the best craft beer you can find. The food was amazing and plentiful especially the short ribs. I would encourage a visit for some great beers. And if you are having an event, I would strongly suggest working with these folks. These are some of the nicest people you will find at any establishment in Ventura. I will be a regular.”

“This place is all natural. I stumbled on this cute shop via instagram. The vibe makes you feel like you traveled to the caribbean and left california temporarily. There was a lady trying out samples of the juices while i was there and she couldnt stop talking about how good the santa rosa juice was. I highly recommend getting the dirty monkey smoothies. They offer acai bowls, juices, smoothies and cleanse programs. The employees are very sweet and kind. Free small parking lot. Reasonable prices. Dont forget to sign up for their reward programs as well.”
