My wife and I decided to focus on the seafood offerings for the evening, and that decision was rewarded from the very first course.

Every dish demonstrated exceptional restraint, balance and confidence. The seafood remained the hero throughout, while each accompanying ingredient added thoughtful layers of flavour, texture and contrast without ever competing for attention.

The oysters were beautifully presented with elegant, well-balanced mignonettes that complemented rather than overwhelmed their natural brine. The octopus salad was outstanding—layer upon layer of vegetables, textures and flavours, each contributing something distinct while coming together as a remarkably cohesive dish. The charcoal udon carried that same sense of balance and depth, and the fish of the moment (halibut) was cooked perfectly, allowing the quality of the fish to speak for itself.

Exceptional food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and polished, attentive service made for a memorable evening. More than anything, we appreciated the respect shown not only to the seafood, but to every ingredient on the plate. “Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! “This is your “must go place” for authentic hot pot experience. We celebrated my husband’s birthday there today.

Food is so tasty with so many choices of soup bases. Spicy flavour tomato flavour are highly recommended. Beef quality is the best. We ordered 12 dishes of meat for four adults. Free ice cream is provided as well.

Service cannot be better. They have had the table decorated for us with happy birthday signs. Can you believe that the server even helped us to peel shrimp shells! My baby is only one year old and he was fussy sometimes. Different servers came with different types of toys to make him happy.

On our way back home, I got a call from Jessie that she apologized for not singing a happy birthday song for my husband. She even dropped a whole package of birthday gifts to our house with our permission.

“The food and drink was absolutely delicious when I went with my friend and partner. We ordered mango sticky rice, cauliflower wings and lychee/peach iced tea. On a hot summer day, it hit the spot so good. We also ordered some noodle dishes whuch were delicuous to devour on the go, though they were soupier than we thought. Our waitress was very kind, welcoming and accomodating, though also loud and people pleasing, which can come across as a bit much for some. Our group was fine with it though. “One of the best meals I've had in a while.

We came here for the world cup tasting menu for two. This is a 6 course shared meal for $65/person that is available until July 12. It did not disappoint. Everything was incredibly well thought out. The chefs used so many ingredients, yet not one felt unnecessary or out of place. Every dish was delicious, but our favorites were the Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie, Turkish Delight, and Prima Vera Pressing.

We also tried three of the cocktails. They were fine, but a little sweet for our taste. The food is definitely the standout here.“

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. “The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“February 10th, 2023 was such a tiring day. I had classes at UCW till late and, as a good hungry taurine, I had to eat something delicious to make me feel well. Also, it had to be mandatorily vegan, so I would also keep my mind in peace. While searching for a restaurant with vegan options, I saw this sushi one, called Cofu Pressed Sushi. It was not far from UCW Vancouver House (around 15 minutes by bus) and it would be open till 9:00 PM. So, I decided to go there. I called my husband and we met there. The restaurant is not that large, and they have just a few tables, just the way I like it. But the best, in my opinion, was that it was so clean, fragrant, and decorated with such a good neatness that I felt a cozy mood as soon as I entered. Nevertheless, we were very well welcomed by the server, and he explained the whole menu to us. Besides they former factors I mentioned, the latter is the most important in my opinion. The way I am hosted and treated in any commercial place makes the whole difference in my final perception. I took the Aichi combo from the Omakase Menu. This combo had plant-based tuna (made of jackfruit), tofu, avocado, fresh mix veggie, and a sauce made of vivid beets and spicy mayo. As for my husband, he chose the Ofu combo. It had plant-based salmon (made of carrot and konjac), pumpkin, eggplant, red & yellow bell pepper, and a sauce made of cilantro, cucumber, and wild carrot. As the picture shows, the dish presentations were so beautiful, showing the food as something delicate, that the sushi master really took care of it. Last, but not least, the taste. It was so delicious! Every bite mattered to me. I was hungry, but I took every sushi slowly to feel all flavours and had the best sensory experience. For some the amount of food may look little, but I guarantee it made me fill satisfied. As a whole, I felt really delighted and I wish to return there soon to order the other options.“

“I have celiac disease and follow a gluten‑free diet, so I always have to be careful about cross‑contamination. Before visiting any restaurant, I call ahead to make sure they understand what celiac disease means. I spoke with Raviji, owner of Niravva Indian Resturant, on Victoria Drive, and he assured me the food would be safe for me. Because of cross‑contamination, my wife and I usually avoid Indian restaurants. But last Sunday, we went to Nirvana India Restaurant and we had such a wonderful experience. Opiji came to our table and explained that they prepare all their masalas in‑house and that everything would be safe for me. They even make gluten‑free roti from scratch. It was the first time I ever had a gluten‑free roti in a restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. We also spoke with Opiji, who even shared a simple tip for making gluten‑free roti at home. For the first time, we felt we had found a safe Indian restaurant for us.“

The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. I order Glaze Tofu bowl - the packaging externally was neat, clean, presentable and properly sealed, the noodles was not soggy and the veggies are all fresh and the tofu was evenly coated by the Khoe especial Glaze sauce and I had on the side additional order of crispy spring rolls 2 pcs and dessert of Mango Tapioca . The crispy spring roll still hot, fresh , crispy and crunchy when you bite it and dip it on their special fish sauce the taste and flavour enhance more after dipping it to the sauce and the dessert was ok not too sweet but it will leave the remarkable taste on your taste buds you start eating the dessert you will never forget it and you will need one more order for sure.
