“Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! Finally, the décor is not at all what you would expect, from looking at the menu on the web-site; very fresh, young, modern, yet very warm decor! Please go and try this place. “We did the tasting menu with the standard wine pairing. It was incredibly good. Matthew, the sommier, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. While not cheap, it was worth every penny. If you are looking for a place to impress a date or just want to experiment a bit with great food and wine, this would be an excellent option.“

“After reading the reviews, we just had to try it. We got the cod fish and chips, the halibut fish and chips and the clam chowder. My favorite was definitely the halibut fish, it’s juicy and crispy; the best fish and chips i’ve had. The cod fish wasn’t the best I wouldn’t order it again. Over all i would definitely recommend this place for a weekday lunch/dinner.“

The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We also had the donuts.. don’t forget about those. Im still dreaming of them. Highly recommend — a truly unforgettable meal!“

“We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

We did the tasting menu for 2 with red wine and added an extra dessert which they put on the house because we said we were celebrating. It's a place you could hang your hat - and we did. “One of the best Mexican restaurants in Vancouver, although be prepared to pay steep prices. The quality is similar to the taco stands found in LA and San Diego, but at a cost.

We ordered the taco trio which came at a whopping $26. The taco filling was delicious, very richly textured, and bursting with fresh ingredients. But at almost $9 per taco, it's quite mind boggling when it's a $2 USD street food item.

We also ordered a bunch more other items, all very good: guacamole with nachos, baked cheese portobello mushroom, a chili soup, and beef tortillas. They all were a bit salty; I came home and drank at least 3 cups of water within a few hours.

Service was attentive and polite, and our wait staff checked in on us at appropriate timepoints without being overbearing during our dinner.

Parking is paid on the street, and a bit hit and miss depending on the day and time.

Overall, a more upscale experience than what you can find in Vancouver, with authentic dishes made with a tasteful approach. I would return and interested to try out their entrees in the future.“

“Not your typical Dim Sum. And I think for the better! Service was excellent, very attentive wait staff. Food was as on point, even my wife who struggles with most traditional Chinese food dishes really enjoyed the food. I've had lots of dim sum and this is without a doubt some of the very best I've had. I did miss a couple of my favourite dishes such as luobogao (turnip cake) but the taro scallop balls made up for it! Ambiance is obviously not going to be the same as a great big Chinese restaurant but I loved the hole in the wall vibe, simple decor and focus on great food. This place is definitely on my short list of places to go when we're back in Vancouver again in the future.“

We ordered Omakase C - Cofu and were delighted! The presentation is artful, but not fussily so. The flavours were layered and subtle so every ingredient could be tasted. Our favourite was the salmon sushi (we ordered an extra 8 pieces!), rich, decadent and delish, especially with the Cilantro Cucumber sauce. We tried the Restore and Elevate mushroom tinctures on the rocks; unexpected flavours, but they grew on us paired with the food and a little ice melt dilution. We will go back time and again to try everything on the menu. Highly recommended!“

“Had a wonderful birthday dinner here at Haidilao west Broadway.

Meat was delicious, we mainly had beef and lamb. The noodle dance was so funny to watch, would recommend. Sauce and snack bar has pretty good selection.

Service is absolutely exceptional, they are very attentive and will make sure you have a good time. I mentioned it was my girlfriend's birthday and they brought out a little cake with singing and a crown, very fun.

They have a happy hour after 9pm where you can choose 1 of 2 discount types, a certain dish or the whole menu. They are open so late, so it was nice to come here after watching the sunset at Kitsilano. Don't forget to try saying some secret phrases :)“
