“I took my foreign friend out for chaat food as we had a midnight craving. It was her first time, and she loved the chaat so much, so did I! This is the closest chaat spot to home(India) for me.

We had dahi puri and samosa chaat, and both were amazing. The person who made it, her name was Nandini, and I complimented her skills because they're chef's kiss.

“February 10th, 2023 was such a tiring day. I had classes at UCW till late and, as a good hungry taurine, I had to eat something delicious to make me feel well. Also, it had to be mandatorily vegan, so I would also keep my mind in peace. While searching for a restaurant with vegan options, I saw this sushi one, called Cofu Pressed Sushi. It was not far from UCW Vancouver House (around 15 minutes by bus) and it would be open till 9:00 PM. So, I decided to go there. I called my husband and we met there. The restaurant is not that large, and they have just a few tables, just the way I like it. But the best, in my opinion, was that it was so clean, fragrant, and decorated with such a good neatness that I felt a cozy mood as soon as I entered. Nevertheless, we were very well welcomed by the server, and he explained the whole menu to us. Besides they former factors I mentioned, the latter is the most important in my opinion. The way I am hosted and treated in any commercial place makes the whole difference in my final perception. I took the Aichi combo from the Omakase Menu. This combo had plant-based tuna (made of jackfruit), tofu, avocado, fresh mix veggie, and a sauce made of vivid beets and spicy mayo. As for my husband, he chose the Ofu combo. It had plant-based salmon (made of carrot and konjac), pumpkin, eggplant, red & yellow bell pepper, and a sauce made of cilantro, cucumber, and wild carrot. As the picture shows, the dish presentations were so beautiful, showing the food as something delicate, that the sushi master really took care of it. Last, but not least, the taste. It was so delicious! Every bite mattered to me. I was hungry, but I took every sushi slowly to feel all flavours and had the best sensory experience. For some the amount of food may look little, but I guarantee it made me fill satisfied. As a whole, I felt really delighted and I wish to return there soon to order the other options.“

“The food was amazing from the looks, taste , texture, quality and the price is reasonable and affordable.
I order Glaze Tofu bowl - the packaging externally was neat, clean, presentable and properly sealed, the noodles was not soggy and the veggies are all fresh and the tofu was evenly coated by the Khoe especial Glaze sauce and I had on the side additional order of crispy spring rolls 2 pcs and dessert of Mango Tapioca . The crispy spring roll still hot, fresh , crispy and crunchy when you bite it and dip it on their special fish sauce the taste and flavour enhance more after dipping it to the sauce and the dessert was ok not too sweet but it will leave the remarkable taste on your taste buds you start eating the dessert you will never forget it and you will need one more order for sure.

“We went here during our visit in Vancouver. It was delicious and they give a GOOD portion of food. I took half to go and that was lunch. My wife and I got the Benechick and Malawah with mushrooms and the carrot salmon. We also got the vegan egg, which was new to me. The inside is runny, so be careful when opening. More on the pricey side, but worth it for good vegan food that isn’t run-of-the-mill and a large portion. The vibe was also very fun and relaxing! We will definitely be returning. “Overall experience here was great! The food was super fresh, customer service was on point as expected and the atmosphere was incredibly lively. There’s so much happening here which can get a bit overwhelming, especially with all of the clashing sounds. You’ve got the main music, birthday celebrations with tambourines and the hand pulled noodle guy that walks around with his own speaker! On top of that, it’s also incredibly busy. The only thing that genuinely made my table uncomfortable was the noodle guy. He came to our table and hit our friend in the face and head with the noodle multiple times. At first it was funny, but as it kept going we got increasingly more uncomfortable. He hit all 3 of us in the faces and the entire experience made us feel really weird. Other than that, everything else was great. The waiting area is super spacious and they have lots to do to keep you distracted and busy while you wait!“

“My favorite restaurant and little market in Vancouver! I love that they use real, whole and organic ingredients! (There’s no excessive cheap oil or processed fillers) And their pastries, cookies, cheesecake, chocolate, tarts, etc. are so delicious especially for being gluten-free and vegan! Even if you do eat meat, it’s worth a drop in to try them. Staff is always very nice, highly recommend.“

It’s literally a hole in the wall so you either had to takeaway or stand around a barrel Japanese sake bar styles. But super worth a visit. First time at Dharma Garden Veggie Deli🌱. I got the spicy #7. Flavourful and delicious, the proteins in the soup were plentiful, spiced delicately, and beautifully textured. I even stayed awake during my afternoon lecture.👍
(Vegetarians: We all know that we pay a bit more for cruelty free protein, but this spot hits right and feels good. You won't regret it!)

“Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!“

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. “The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“Authentic Japanese ramen store. Delicious ramen.

We visited this ramen store in the late afternoon while there were less crowd. The store is not big but well designed so it feels spacious. The staff offered us baskets to put our bags and coats in. That's very convenient.

The ramen was delicious. The broth was thick, well flavored and not too salty. The noodle's texture was great not soggy. The pork was tender and juicy. This is the right kind of hot comfort food you want to order at a chilly winter afternoon.

By the time we left, the place began to get populated. When we passed the store the next day during lunch hour, there was a line waiting outside the door. We were luck to get in without waiting. This store will be in our pocket list for sure.“

We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce.
